The servers and staff remember their regulars’ orders. The food is standard diner fare. It can be hit or miss, but they make a mean cheeseburger.

Used to come here with my dad when I was younger. We would mostly come for Christmas break/Thanksgiving break when it was cold out. We would order some soup and sit for hours. This is the first place I ever tried Greek food and still is one of the best, the tzatziki is unmatched. Eggplant parm is amazing. Great service, LOVE the 80s diner feel. 10 years later, it hasnt lost its magic. Service is still amazingly sweet.

The only problem is the hostess at the cash register that takes your bill. On more than 1 occasion she was so busy on her phone that 2 lines formed - 1 of people waiting to pay their bill and the other of customers waiting to be seated

Late night dinner after church service. I had misgivings from my last visit many years ago and had stayed away but the fish and chips were top notch this time. Glad they have such late hours and the service was prompt and attentive.

Really great diner and the food is top of the line food for a diner. We have had the hamburgers, sandwiches and breakfast items. All have been pretty good. The waiters are attentive but not too attentive so they don't drive you nuts.

What a pleasant experience we had! Food was incredible and the portions were so big, I couldn't even finish the whole thing the next night! Even gave us 2 complimentary slices of lemon meringue pie. 🥟😋 Waitress was very sweet and awesome! Restaurant was very quiet even for a Saturday evening. Guess folks don't know what they're missing.

I rate this highly as a diner relative to other diners not as a diner relative to a Michelin five-star restaurant. It's a great place to get an omelette or a sandwich and the staff is attentive and does good work. Ever since the airmont diner closed its doors three or four years ago we've been looking for a reasonable substitute. This may be the substitute, but it is a bit far from Rockland county community college which is where I need to go after breakfast.

Great Diner Fare, service is very nice and attentive. They accidentally brought out the wrong item for a dinner my family was having there and made it right instantly They also gave complimentary sides and cookies due to the mistake. We didn't make a big deal about the error and the extras were all proactively from them. Needless to say we were pleasantly surprised! Super service and a wide menu with fresh foods.

Stopped in here with coworkers after a late night flight. Very reminiscent of the diners from the 1950s. Highly recommended. The staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The food was very similar to an old-fashioned diner. The three of us enjoyed our meals and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend. They have a fairly extensive menu. Anything from burgers to seafood to various desserts.

Couldn't say better things. Was worried based on some recent reviews.. and I'm a bit snobby about food.. but my dinner was delicious, service was good, & even offered me a complimentary small glass of wine given it was dinner time!

My wife and I were visiting from NYC and stopped by for dinner. My wife had the seafood combo and I the chicken parm both with french onion soup. Both were very good, staff was efficient and friendly. Would visit again.

This is the best diner that I have been to in Rockland, NY. The waiter was amazing and didn’t get any of our order orders wrong. I ordered two pancakes and a deluxe cheeseburger and they were delicious and filling. I highly recommended going to this diner.

We're from CT and stopped by later after the Palisades mall closed. Family of 5. Was a nice environment. All staff were very friendly. Food was good. Had a steak and cheese , cheese and gravy fries (disco fries where I'm from) and a couple of Coors. Will stop by again whenever we visit the mall.

I’m so glad they’re open 24/7 on Fridays and Saturdays because this place is my new go-to for late-night cravings. The prices? Let’s just say they understand the assignment: #reasonable 😜 Now let’s talk food: Chicken Parm? Chef’s kiss. The sauce was legit flavor-packed, and the pasta? Not waterlogged like most diners (you know who you are). Matzo Ball Soup? I’m gonna get in trouble for this but... best in Rockland. Yes, I said it. The broth was clear, rich, and downright comfort in a bowl. The only “meh” was the prime rib—I ordered it medium and should’ve gone well done. The natural gravy had an off taste to me. But honestly? Tiny issue in an otherwise banger of a meal. Big shoutout to Jimen, my server—super friendly, on point, and made sure I was 💯 happy (first time there and felt like a regular). We had a delicious meal. My husband had a Chicken Caesar salad. The chicken was excellent. He said there wasn't enough salad greens, and the manager had more brought to him. I had a delicious grilled cheese sandwich with fries. It was served with cole slaw, pickle, lettuce, tomato, and onion rings. This was fantastic! I have had this is many diners, but it was never served like this. The service was very good. Check out this diner for yourself.

The menu is huge! There are many great selections for all three meal times. Food is usually very good and we always enjoy friendly service. Prices are reasonable and desserts are delectable! The management at this location has changed hands several times over the years, but the current staff seems to want to please.

I enjoyed my belgian waffle with bacon and eggs on Mother's Day. Nanuet Diner is a great place to meet with family and friends with affordable dining and diverse menu. I appreciate that it is open various times of the day and night.

Service was good. Ordered a salad with salmon. Came with soup. Soup was a bit salty. Salad was watery. My croutons were soggy. Had to get a second bowl to drain the water and add new croutons. Salmon was good. Next time, I'll try something a little more filling. I would go back.

The food was excellent. We were visiting from out of town and ate here 3 times. Friendly staff, large parking lot.

Visited this place with our team while in Rockland Community College, must say the food was good everyone got their orders correct and the portions was good. Our server was great and attentive. We had so much food given we had to take home. The only reason it gets a four, when paying the manager didn’t know how to use our tax exempt form to remove the taxes. I would have to wait until 10pm for the person that knew so could do it. We didn’t wait and headed home. Thank you for the food and service.

I went there for dinner for two and it was an amazing experience . - food price usually range from 8 to 20 bucks. - kids meals are about 9 bucks but the burger is massive for kids as well. - overall food quality was amazing, burgers are juicy and buns are fresh . Fries could have been better . - cookies are soft but well done - service is prompt - cocktails are budget friendly - most of them are about 7-8 bucks. - overall place is clean including the restrooms. Overall, highly recommended.

Our family had a late dinner which was very convenient because they're open 24 hours. My short ribs were pretty awesome, my wife's pork chops were okay, and my son's egg Benedict was terrible because of the hollandaise sauce. Our service was pretty good, the gentleman that attended us was very polite and helpful.

I have dined at this diner before and have had decent experiences. They are open 24 hours again, on certain days, which is wonderful but this time we didn't stay. The booth where we were to be seated hadn't been cleaned. We pointed that out to the waiter and he argued that it was clean. An empty breadbasket was left on the table. He then said we could sit anywhere. We chose another booth and the bench was loose as my fiance nearly fell.on the floor.. The third booth appeared better until we discovered a used sugical mask by the condiments. Quite disappointed this time. Maybe they should cut their hours so more attention could be paid to running a cleaner and safer establishment.

The service was not up to the prices they charge. It's crazy! They were not that busy when we were there, so to have to ask twice for extra napkins and refill of coffee!?

Unfortunately I only went to eat at this diner once and I was not all that impressed with their food. The only reason I am giving Three stars is because of their service. Very nice and friendly staff. But if you go there for the food, which 98% of the time that's the case, you will be highly disappointed. I just don't know what it was. Ive been to other diner and the food was amazing. this place, the eggs were cold, the meats were dry and the bread was stale. Even the coffee was burnt. Yes you can burn coffee. The should constantly make fresh pots. This was my experience.

Can't have 5 star expectations at a diner but it was late night, we were the only ones there and we asked to change the music but the manager refused to. We asked to put some instrumental at least but it became a discomfort. Food is decent. I've been there a few times. Aside from this nonsense I would recommend it.

Come here for the people, not the food. The service is excellent and the manager always goes out of his way to treat people extremely well. But the food is terrible. It’s not just one item, it’s a lot of the food on the menu. I don’t know if it’s the oil, or the way the food is kept in the back or just some poor quality ingredients—but it’s not what it used to be. I know there’s not a lot one should expect from a diner, especially in an age where everyone is cutting corners for the sake of profit——but come on, guys!!! Please redo your menu or maybe swap out for better ingredients (i.e. oil, meat, etc). I’d be willing to pay a few extra dollars for a better plate. Otherwise, I love everyone that works here, they are so wonderful!!!

I see others complained about cashier. We had same experience. When checking out she was on cell phone on speaker - just nasty look and no response when we asked for receipt. Our waiter was fantastic (Eli) and food was good. Wonder if cashier is owner - if not she should go. At least put call on hold to acknowledge a customer paying for her salary. Rude!!!!!

This is a diner in all the classical sense. Picture a diner in your head and that is what this is. Big menu which is standard. The food is decent. Soups are made daily and had a few options. I went with the chicken soup. The food comes out hot and fast. Service is friendly. The omelettes are always good at diners in my opinion. I usually stick with breakfast or maybe a reuben. I would come back if I am craving a diner.

Twice recently have ordered through 2 different delivery services meals and only received half. Thursday I ordered 2 roast beef on rolls, onion rings and received 1 sandwich. Tonight French dip and a roast beef on a roll, received roast beef, aus Gus sauce but where’s the French Dip?! When calling the dinner, nobody knows anything. So either the dinner can’t fill the order or multiple delivery services are screwing up ( very disappointing. When called to question the order, several people on phone, nobody knows anything and shockingly the call is disconnected. Clearly not an establishment to do business with

The lady who seated us wasn't even a little cordial. While paying, the same lady had a side conversation while we waited to pay. Poor customer service from her but good service from other workers we interacted with. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and served at good temperature. I'm not sure of cleaning standards. Salt and pepper shaker tops had not been cleaned for some time. Sugar jar was not so clean either. 3 stars for good food and service from everyone except the lady mentioned above.

We visited on a late Sunday evening driving through from out of town because it was one of the few places open. I ordered a fajita quesadilla wrap. My daughter ordered a BLT. The food was ok, my chicken in the wrap was very dry but the rest of the ingredients were fine. Nothing special. We got seated and attended to right away. The table felt sticky and the place just did not feel clean, felt a bit grimy/sloppy (dusty window pane). When I asked for another hot tea, the server only brought water to add to my cup, not a new tea, bag and I used my old tea bag which didn't have any color or flavor left in it. When it was time to leave, we tried to eye the server for our check. Eventually we just came up to the front and he saw us so printed the check. I don't think the food, service, and atmosphere was worth the price. There are much better breakfast places in the area. I don't know if I would return.

So basically me and my wife stopped in for a late night dinner after taking care of my nieces and nephews, when I first got there the woman at the front ask do want a table and continued to inform us that they close at 11130 with a bad attitude like we where disturbing her. (when I checked the website and it said midnight (we got there about 11:10) I am a chef and I understand the whole last ticket wanna go home but your restaurant is as good as your first and last meal. Didn't wanna send this but I was left with a very nasty taste after the treatment me and my wife received.

Food was mediocre at best. My daughters burger was burnt, so she shared my sons chicken fingers. Since no one came to check on us after delivering our food. They delivered the check without asking about the food or if we needed anything. Safe to say we won't be back.

Well I got here Monday morning, 7am. Manuel Diner lights were off, no cars out front. That sure looks like it's closed!

I honestly think this place should be shut down. Worst customer service I’ve ever had. When we walk in this diner we did not feel welcome. We order our food and the food was okay. It wasn’t the best. We got the special which included soup or salad and a desert. When we got to the desert we order chocolate pudding the pudding was bad and taste sour. So we called our waiter over an explain to him he offer us jello and rice budding I didn’t want jello and I can’t have rice pudding too much dairy for me. Anyway we ask to speak to the manager she came to us 10 minutes later couldn’t really understand her but she gave us one desert which was a slice of chocolate cake. My husband got up to pay and we told the waiter we would like the slice of chocolate cake to go. Now the waiter was looking at his co worker shanking his head an Laughing at us. This is when I got up and told the manger and she told the waiter I said the service was bad the waiter came up to me and ask me if I said his service was bad an I said yes and I explain to him what he had did. I told him no tip for him he’s very disrespectful and we paid and walked out. I’ve work in the restaurant industry and this was the worst service I’ve ever experienced it doesn’t matter if you pay 5$ or 10$ or 100$ for something the customer service should always be on point.

This diner has been here for a long time. Its interior is dated, the menu is a generic diner menu, and the service could be better. I had a cheese burger deluxe ordered medium. It was cooked a little more than medium and was rather bland. Our server seemed like he was busy but there were only about 3 tables in this diner that was rather empty. We asked for milk to be brought for the coffee and were ready to order but they told us one second as they were grabbing something for another guest (understandable) but then dropped the milk off and scurried off meanwhile we were ready to order. I will also say that after that meal I had a 30-40 minute drive home and I was extremely gassy and in discomfort. I don’t think I’ll be going back.

I’ve been coming to this diner for decades and the quality has deteriorated. Ordered a turkey burger deluxe with onion rings. The burger was inedible. It was like tasteless shoe leather between a bun. Ended up just eating the bun with the tomatoes. The onion rings were almost burnt. Mentioned this to the waiter who didn’t give a damn. $23 …Total rip off.

The place is ok, but needs work on customer service and menu update. To pricey.

I came here at 12am for a late night bite with a group of friends, and we were very disappointed with the food. The staff were friendly enough but the quality of food was barely adequate. My bread was toasted nicely, but the tuna and cheese were average. My friend got a Buffalo burger and it was literally just a Patty and a bun.

Not only is their food overpriced for quality, the service here is horrible! The waiter was not friendly or knowledgeable about the menu or customer service. Did not know how to explain what each dish consists of and was slow with everything. The syrup was sugar free and I had not requested that. The honey tasted like plastic. The utensils and mug were dirty and the price was insanely ridiculous for the quality of food. Save your money. Do not eat here. Also, the food was not hot. Again very slow service.

Service is Negative -3, food eatable, and if they have an issue with you, they start to speak in Spanish right in front of you. Don't WASTE YOUR MONEY THERE. At least the toilet is kept clean

Nice diner experience, however, the bakery item we ordered was significantly expired and had an horrendous odor. The manager denied the smell, and was hesitant to try a piece himself. Also, he insisted that the bakery item was supposed to smell in that putrid way. We did not want our money back, just an apology or acknowledgement of our concerns. I recommend not ordering any bakery items.

Me and my friends went in clueless, and the Nanuet Diner is the worst diner I’ve ever been to. Half of our food was undercooked and utterly disgusting. The diner was off putting , with an uneasy atmosphere. Workers and manager were not welcoming as well. DO NOT GO!! I got food poisoning from the chicken tenders (made for KIDS).

Clearly negative stars is not an option. I asked if they made a chicken Philly cheesesteak. The waiter had to go back three times to find out. Finally Comes back to me and says they do. First, the disco fries come out, and the gravy tasted old and sour. Then our food comes out and my chicken Philly cheesesteak was not correct at all. It was a regular cheesesteak with everything that I asked not to be on it. I had to explain to him yet again this was not what I wanted. Unfortunately clearly there was a language barrier because yet again it came out wrong. Then third time he brings out what looked like they slapped a piece of chicken breast and a raw onion on a piece of bread. I explained several times and even showed him a picture of what an actual chicken Philly cheesesteak looks like but instead of doing anything, he walked away to the woman at the front and, probably said something nasty about me in Spanish. Then the bill came and he charged me for it. After the bill came there was no finding the waiter and the women at the front wouldn’t speak to me other then give me a dirty look. Charging me for an order I didn’t have and refusing any kind of manager or service. I should’ve listened to the fact that they had 3.6 stars. Clearly for a reason, but I thought it’s a diner. How bad could it be?

No kidding here we just came from there as we are staying at a nearby hotel and let me tell you straight out the absolute worse meals me, my wife n kids ever had and we come from restaurant experience… had a huge menu which had us foooled it would be great. Everything was so blah it’s ridiculous. Everything from the steak to their seafood to their chicken was so weird tasting it took a minute to realize what you are tasting. Our server did not check on us one time n I told him that at the end.. we give always great tips n not just saying that but our bill was 210 dollars I could only give 5 dollars it was that horrible n the waiter wanted to do nothing to fix it.. highly, highly advise everyone to stay away!!!! No wonder why we were the only table their at 5pm on a sat! Not cool man!!! And I said to the server what is going on n he said it is what it is.. unacceptable; NEVER AGAIN!!!

A long time ago this was a good diner. Now there are small salads. Cold soups and cold entrees all of which should be hot. Many items in the dinner specials unavailable. Even early in the evening. Many other diners exist in the area. Find another one and avod this one.

Stale burger bun/so lame. I ran a restaurant, and believe me, everybody knows when the hamburger buns are stale. They get thrown out or donated to the birds. Lettuce in my salad to go was yellow leaves, the part of the lettuce head that you feed to rabbits or toss. So insulting and shameful that they’re getting away with this. $42 and I will never go back. Disgusting. Awful. Rip off. Yuck.

What a mess this place has become. Why do hard working people like us come to this dump. Just ordered two cheeseburgers one for me one for my son. They forgot the cheese and took them back. One came back to me without cheese and burnt and the other with a cold piece of cheese. I ordered a soup they forgot to bring it. Never coming back. .

My lox were obviously not fresh. I couldn't eat them. The manager or owner would not bend and kept saying they were fresh. I told him fresh lox don't have brown spots all over them. He wouldn't budge. Also, they were playing Christian rock over the speakers. I'm Catholic but it was obnoxious. Never again.

It was my partner’s and I second time here. While we enjoyed the food and service the first time. The second visit was a completely different experience. Once we received our order my partner noticed a small hair on this plate (we ordered chicken and waffles); we assumed it could be his since he does have facial hair. We continued our meal until he noticed a second one, this time under the chicken. At this point we called over the manager and explained the situation, to which he had no response, he took the plate and came back 5 minutes later asking if he would like his order remade and that he wouldn’t be able to do anything about the check (we hadn’t even asked at this point). We explained we did not feel comfortable getting any more food and would just get the check. We explained the situation to our server and the checkout lady, both were unhelpful and only offered us a slice of “cake” to take home. We didn’t even think it was worth it to fight about having the items removed from the check. My bf paid the bill and we left. Will definitely not be back though.

I order meatloaf to go I asked for mushrooms and ONIONS. First… staff weren’t as friendly or welcoming… Second…. My order was wrong never got the onions I repeatedly asked for. Third… they call it fresh salad I guess they mean that literally because they don’t even bother to wash the ingredients. See picture below

The food was not so great. The waiter was a litlle over the top and annoying. Once my mom complained about her food, he was nowhere to be found. The place was cold and uncomfortable and sat us under some gaping holes in the ceiling. I haven't eaten there in a long time. It use to be good, but now theucheap out on the food and are well over priced. It cost $80 for 3 sandwiches.

Ordered a chicken pot pie waited 25 minutes to recieve a microwaved reheated frozen pot pie cold in center and smelled of microwave burn on one side which I returned for a refund. I will not go back again.

This isn't a review of their food as we left prior to ordering. We went for an early dinner while on a road trip. There was only one other table there. When we entered, the staff person didn't even speak, just motioned us to a table and left, with no offer to get us a drink or say someone would be with us shortly. She went back to her seat and back to looking at her phone. After five minutes, no one had come to our table, even though we were in eyesight of where she was, so we left and went to Shake Shack. If this is how they normally operate, I can't see how they're still in business.
