I love this restaurant! Every time I visit my family, we end up here. The food is always fresh and delicious. I know my parents are big fans of the sake-tini and I am more partial to the beer menu. Last night I had the special BBQ Dragon Calamari Roll and the Fancy Crab Roll. Both were delicious, but I cannot recommend the Calamari Roll more than I already am. I even asked the waitress if they would add it to the menu, but apparently it takes so long to make that they just have it on the special menu for slower days. If it's on the menu, get it, you won't regret it (unless you don't like calamari). Beyond the food, the service is great and the staff is beyond nice. Prices are a little high ($10-$15/roll), but the quality is worth it. *Side note: purchased a small miso soup ($2), and the 2 rolls and was completely filled. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.

Our go to sushi place! We usually order out and the food is fresh and always ready on time. They offer online ordering which is very convenient. On the few times we dine in, the service has always been great. If you go when they have live music its a bonus!

There is a wide range of selections from excellently prepared sushi and sashimi to hot courses. Make sure to check the daily specials board for the freshest offerings!

We go here all the time. My small girls are treated like princesses there. The staff is great and the food is consistently good. They also offer a rewards system for free gift cards.

This restaurant has the best of karma together with the best of Japanese cuisine the owner Joyce is so welcoming And she has an efficient staff with a smiling demeanor. There is no better choice to dine Japanese in Rockland County Then Kobi. And did I forget to mention the fabulous jazz Friday and Saturday evenings.

It's always been great here, and lately its even better. Amazingly fresh and expertly cut fish. The whole fish specials include a complex array of roll, sashimi, nigiri and true fresh wasabi. Great staff, even live mellow music on the weekend.

I didn't expect much coming into this place, but boy was I surprised. The ambiance is inviting and tranquil. The service was courteous and quick. The food was terrific and beautifully prepared but the drinks are what keeps me coming back.

I wanted to have some sushi after a long day at work, and this place turned my whole day around!! I had the jalapeño yellowtail, the avocado bomb with salmon and the spicy salmon wrapped in cucumber. Excellent sushi and hot food with good weekday lunch specials. The tom yum soup is small but good and reasonably priced (an appetizer or side, rather than a main dish). The scallion pancake was delicious, as was the special roll. The atmosphere is nice with a full bar, sushi bar, and regular tables. The service was friendly and good. I would eat here again.

This Japanese restaurant was used to be called Maiko 2 which was operated by Japanese owner. The owner is changed to someone who is not Japanese. Nobody speaks Japanese and do not know what Japanese food is. But food is very good and looks like real sushi. I recommend this sushi as a Japanese.

Food is an A+, but the seating is very cramped (and our table was broken). They have decent sushi bar seating that I would use instead next time...

This is our go-to spot for takeout sushi in New City. Their smartphone app makes ordering easy, and allows you to accumulate points that are redeemable for money off your bill and other promotions. The sushi and roll combos are a very good value and we find the fish to be very good quality, especially for the price.

Food is just AMAZING. My one main complaint is that it takes 30-40 minutes for your appetizer to come out. You can be the only one in the restaurant and all the food takes forever to come out. I ate there tonight and it took an hour to get my food and there were only 3 or 4 other families in the restaurant. Anyways the people are sooo nice and the food is AMAZING. You should definitely head out here but if you have kids, be prepared to entertain them!

Came in for lunch twice in the last few weeks. Most dishes were much fresher on Monday than they were on Wednesday...lol Overall, a nice ambiance, and decent food. Prices are a bit high, but then they are up everywhere.

The food was great, service was okay, but I think we definitely got ripped off on my mixed drink. I ordered a Screwdriver for which they charged us $10, and that's their cocktail price. A shot of vodka there costs about $4 and OJ about $3. So if I ordered it separately, I would have gotten more for the price. Ohh and the waitress also said they put "FOUR shots of vodka" into my drink. I wouldn't have walked out of there on my own if that was the case. Anyway, at the end they have failed to solve this professionally.

I have been to this restaurant many times and it is usually great. But this time the service was terrible. My brother asked for extra sauce when he ordered his dish, and then had to ask another 3 times and wait 20minutes after his dinner was served. We asked for more water and the server forgot, twice. The avocado in my sushi roll was hard, I actually had to take some of it out. Then we ordered nothing for dessert and it wasn't frozen! I've never had bad mochi, and usually Kobe serves good mochi, but this time it was bad. Not sure what happened this trip, there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant, so I can't even say they were busy. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.

Food was amazingly great. Service and attitude sucked. Waiters had problems speaking English so when I asked what was on something. I received a nasty attitude. Because they didn't have the ability to tell me. Felt very rushed to eat and get out. Me and my lady were the only ones there in the middle of the afternoon. So don't understand the rush. I gave it 3 stars because the food was great.

Food was good but not amazing. Had hibachi and the portions of the shrimp/steak were large but everything else was small like the noodles and rice. We were very rushed and the chef was overwhelmed. It was the loudest place I’ve ever been in since it’s a smaller place.

Sashimi rolls do not have a strip of fish, more like a few chopped pieces wrapped in a roll. Not good.

There are many other quality sushi places in Rockland County I suggest trying before coming here. The server was so rude with a simple credit card dilemma. There is no need to go to a place and be treated so disrespectfully.

Didn’t even try the food. Smell in the place like a spoiled fish or something… definitely not a Asian restaurant smells. Service was really bad we didn’t want to order. And we drove there specially..

The food was good but our waiter stared at us eat the whole time. It was extremely uncomfortable and felt like she was trying to get us out of there as soon as possible, giving us the check while we were still clearly eating and not finished. She was not nice or welcoming and this felt like a complete waste of money
