We were visiting Nashville and decided to do some shopping. We saw this place next to the mall and decided to give it a try. We had a reservation and were seated early. We both ordered the entree special and had plenty to eat with leftovers. The food was amazing and worth the visit. Our server was fast, prompt, and recommended the dishes we ordered. The atmosphere of the restaurant was beautiful and modern yet had an old Italian vibe. We will definitely return!
North Italia is still one of my favorite places in Franklin. I have visited other North Italia locations and none are as good as Franklin's atmosphere. Upscale, family oriented, clientelle is friendly also. Generally a very positive atmosphere. I love adding the grilled chicken or braised pork to any dish I order for extra protein. I also love doubling the veg portions. You can order pizza gluten-free which reduces the carb/calorie load by a lot. You can also replace the pasta with veg noodles (sweet potatoe, zuchini, or both). They have great mocktails. I love their cappucinos even without adding sugar cubes. And yes - they have decaf cappucinos. The deserts are great - I often ask for a bowl of fresh fruit with creme fraiche. The bathrooms are nice and the women's restroom has fun lighting and large full sized mirror. Shared photos from multiple visits in the last few months.
Service was on point, people in general around are very sweet and attentive. The food was awesome, the seasonal salad was the best salad ive had in my whole entire life.
I like the size of the plates, they are big. The food is good and there is variety. Next time I will try their pizza.
My mother and I usually come here sporadically, we always enjoy the food, atmosphere but our server Alex this time was phenomenal. She was so kind and personable. She was very patient with us and so flexible. My mother didn’t like her meal something was off setting with the flavor and Alex had no problem exchanging it for something else. Usually you don’t wanna send stuff back because servers might have attitudes, you don’t wanna inconvenience the back, or waste food but not her she did it with no problem. I hope to have her again when we come back! She really was an amazing server.
First time trying the Squid Ink Tonnarelli and it was delicious! My wife says it was one the best she’s had also and that says a lot, because it was common in Asia. Also Sunday Lasagna. Jacob was our waiter, he has great sense of humor
Where brunch and Italian cuisine meet in a delightful fusion! Walking into The Mall at Green Hills with kiddos and hungry, we stumbled into this gem that quickly accommodated us for weekend brunch. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance—casual yet classy—and the food was exceptional. And the kids even finished their meals! From presentation to flavor, every dish impressed us. Highly recommend for families and food lovers alike!! Pictured: cannoli French toast | spicy rigatoni pasta (made vegetarian style) | eggplant dish
Food was very good, but service was excellent. I would especially like to commend Morgan, and the kitchen manager for their attentive service. Well done. What service should be like.
This is my first time at North Italy, let me just say I had a great experience. The food was awesome. The place is family orientated . The staff are friendly and it’s good overall
Excellent food for everyone on my husbands birthday! We all had special requests; like no meat or cheese on the salad and entree, a custom white sauce instead of the red, etc. Everything was 5 star, made to order, and delicious on a Sunday afternoon brunch hour with no reservations. Our server, Kelsey, was informative and efficient, even during a 2nd shift. Our family ordered the truffle garlic bread appetizer, which everyone loved, and also the filled donuts for dessert, and they were heavenly! I mention those because I didn’t take a picture of them, but they were a great addition to the meal. We enjoyed North Italia in Green Hills and will return soon!
North was a welcome surprise. I was seated immediately upon entering, and my server promptly proceeded to take my drink order, which was the Sicilian margarita and just peachy. I then ordered the wild shrimp scampi, and the star of the show was the truffle garlic bread. The butter on top it was simply amazing. My entrees included the Margherita pizza and spicy rigatoni vodka. Everything was delicious, and i will definitely be returning for another wonderful dining experience.
This was my first time at North Italia, let me just say I had a great experience. Toni, the hostess was so polite with assisting us. Chuck, our server was phenomenal and went through the menu & even gave us some recommendations. I’ll definitely be back
North Italia is consistently YUM! It’s hard not to stop in when visiting the mall. The bar service is great and the menu is a good fit for crowds.
First time here and it didn’t disappoint. Ordered the shrimp scampi and it was delicious. They thing is since the food is fresh be prepared to wait for your food. It is worth it
I am in a state of unhappiness. Maddie drew a smiling face for me. This smiling face surprised me, and I immediately laughed. I wrote 'Love You Maddie' on paper. I don't fully understand what love is. But every contact with North Italia has never disappointed me. Maybe it's the fourth time, maybe the third time. Maybe in 2023. Maybe in 2024. I don't remember how many times I've been to North already. Every time is as warm as ever. It is the best lounge in Green Hills. Not only does it provide delicious BRAISED RIB, but it also offers relaxed happiness. What an interesting North, pumpkin and tea mushroom fighting on the plate. Maddie and I played games by paying receipts. We use paper to convey happiness.
North Italia in The Mall at Greenhills offers fantastic food and a friendly staff. My family enjoyed a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend for a great meal!
Great food, great service. Very noisy on weekends.
We came here for an impromptu birthday dinner with some friends, and this place was perfect! From the relaxed ambiance to the fantastic servers and delicious food. I was so pleased with this place! We came in on a Saturday night with no reservation; they were able to seat a table of 5 in less than 30 minutes. Our server Garrett was phenomenal! He knew the menu in and out, wore a mask, but was willing to take our picture, made great recommendations, and couldn’t have been better. We started with the crispy calamari, which was fantastic and didn’t last 5 minutes, lol. For our entrees, we tried the Glazed Short Rib Cavatelli and the Diver Scallops. Both were so good! The Diver Scallops were my favorite, though; I will definitely be back just for that plate alone - the butternut swash pairs so well with the Parmesan risotto. 😍🤤 I didn’t have a chance to try the Funghi pizza, but my friend said it was full of flavor, so I plan to try that next. For dessert, we had the Bombolini (Italian Donuts) and the Italian Butter Cake. Garrett brought out the butter cake with a candle in it for my birthday, and I thought that was a pleasant surprise. They were both delicious! We couldn’t have had a better time here. I will definitely return because they have so many good options to choose from, and the flavor was top tier. Thank you guys for having us! ☺️
Real made in house pasta, the crispy calamari was the freshest I've had in really long time, so good and the short rib dish was fantastic and cocktails were great! Fyi, the restrooms were clean and working 💪 be back hopefully soon..
North Italia is really delicious! They make and taste everything in house before each day begins. I got the house bolognese and it was incredible. The crispy brussel sprouts were phenomenal. My husband enjoyed his meal as much as I enjoyed mine. The atmosphere is perfection. The lighting isn’t harsh, the restaurant wasn’t loud and the layout is great. It didn’t feel like they were trying to cram in as many tables as possible. You can see the kitchen and bar from any seat. I am a stickler for service and ambiance and both were great. Our server, Chris, was really great at reading us and our personalities. He was very professional and then joked around with us as we encouraged it after a couple of glasses of sparkling rosé. I will definitely be back!
This place blew me away! Cheryl was the best server I experienced while in Nashville. The garlic bread, the pasta, the pizza. Everything was 10/10.
The appetizer and the pizza were simply extremely good! Good service and atmosphere; I'll be back there for sure!
The service is superb. We were dining, celebrating a birthday, party of 8. Timed service. The ambiance formula is perfect. Dim lighting but not over the food. You spotlight food this good. An open kitchen design with Hell's Kitchen finalist-level cooking. And everyone's food arrived together. Here's the test. I order Eggplant Parma. I don't even eat spicy food and I couldn't stop eating them. Thick steak cuts, with what had to be a seasoned wash and dredge. And served with a sauce that neither hid or overpowered. The eggplant held both its crunch and form till the very end. And its on the small plate menu. From the other guests: Salmon, excellent. Spaghetti, delicious. If you like light sauce, request it. The tortellini, yummy, the pizza, a bit hit, and the salad and rigatoni (blow a kiss). Bravo.
Wonderful experience! Got here and was a little disappointed the menu was different from what I saw on Google. We mentioned it to the waitress because I couldn't find what I wanted, so I told her- Joanna H., And she found me the next best thing! I was so freaking happy!! My food was amazing, so was my boyfriend's and even his son was doing a little happy dance over the food. It was just an amazing experience over all from the bar tender taking great care of us, the food and the service. I will definitely be back. Thank you so much Joanna H.!!!
First time here and had a wonderful experience with a fantastic server Kassidi. We started off with amazing drinks the pomegranate mule and Sicilian margarita. They were like so good. The happy hour menu options varied and the margarita pizza and chefs board were delicious. The pizza had the right amount of sauce vS cheese and perfectly cooked crunchy crust. As an additional appetizer we got their amazing crispy eggplant. This is a must item to try. Overall great experience and will be back.
What a wonderful experience. Highly recommend eating here if you are in the area. We came on a Saturday afternoon. The wait was about 20m and then another wait once we were seated. Our waitress, however, noticed our toddler was upset and hungry and went ahead and put his order in as soon as we sat down. Major points for that!! The atmosphere is open and just simply gorgeous. The grill line is open to the public. You can see what they cook and how they cook it. Even the kid's lemonade is freshly squeezed and made. Now that's quality. Cocktails are around $13 and entrees are $20+. BUT, you certainly get what you pay for. Everything was delicious. All of it. Not a bad item or moment or experience the entire time. I will definitely bring my family back here. Loved every bit of this place.
The food and cocktails are pretty good. The spicy meatball pizza, spicy pasta, spaghetti and meatballs and chicken Alfredo are family favorites. We also love the bread and burrata. The seating and ambience are 5s, for sure. The service was solid. I would definitely return to this location.
Chuck was the best server I’ve ever had. Informative, knowledgeable, great suggestions and patient. The food is absolutely amazing! Everything i tasted instantly transported me to Italy. My new favorite Italian restaurant!
Just ate here tonight and had such an amazing time! Had the best server named Taylor and she made sure we were well taken care of. Absolutely recommend this restaurant!!
Celebrated my birthday here recently and it was amazing! They were able to cater to a guest’s food allergies, everything we got was fresh and delicious! The cocktails were amazing, and our server, Matt, was super accommodating and attentive! Can’t give enough 5 stars! It does feel like you get a part of Italy when dining here. Check this place out! The House Specialty Bolognese and Chicken Parm were so delicious!
We went to North Italia in Green Hills for my sister’s birthday, and John and Cheryl were absolutely amazing! They made sure to check in with us, update us on wait times, and were extremely welcoming and kind. The food was also delicious! Overall, our servers, the food, and the atmosphere contributed to a wonderful birthday dinner!
Me and my wife came in today to have a night without the kids and had such an amazing time! Alyssa was our server and she was so attentive, answered all our questions and even gave us some amazing recommendations. Food and drinks did take a lot longer than we wanted but was worth the wait. The manager did come over to us after everything was taking a long time but didn’t seem to care much.
Had an amazing experience at North Italia thanks to our waitress Kyler. From the moment we sat down, she was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. She knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything came out perfectly and on time. What really stood out was her positive energy and how she made the whole table feel taken care of without ever being overbearing. She checked in at all the right moments and made the night feel special. Great service like that makes a huge difference, and Kyler absolutely delivered. If you get the chance to sit in her section, you’re in for an awesome dining experience! Kyler deserves a raise‼️‼️
My boyfriend and I recently came in for an impromptu date night. We were greeted relatively quick and we were even able to ask for a certain table to watch the football game. As we looked at the menu, Chuck, came over and introduced himself. You could tell he had a few tables, but he made sure to take good care of us. He has extensive knowledge of the wine menu. When I got a Pinot noir and it wasn’t as dark and dry as I would have liked, he was able to offer me the Cabernet Sauvignon which I loved! The bill was a little high but we were able to get an appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 glasses of wine, a cocktail and multiple beers! The cavatelli could have been a little better dressed, but the short rib was cooked to perfection! We also normally like our Arancini to be a little bit thicker, but the basil aioli it came with was unforgettable. Overall a great experience all thanks to our wonderful server, Chuck!
Really good! I got the shrimp scampi pasta and it was delicious. Very garlic forward with lots of whole garlic cloves, so be mindful of that... but it's still delicious. The pizza was delicious! Very filling. Lunch time was very busy. Highly recommend.
Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The meal I ordered, a crab and pasta dish, was bland and watery but the waitress did offer to get me something else. I opted to eat it anyway. What I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. It was fairly quiet and dark, nice for a meal after a long day.
Such an amazing atmosphere and lovely service. Sadly, our Hot Honey & Smoked Prosciutto pizza had almost no cheese on it, but it still tasted fantastic. The tiramisu and simple salad were both AMAZING! Would absolutely return and recommend this place!
Food was good, not great. If you are in the mall this is a solid option. Would I make a special trip to Green Hills just to eat here again...unfortunately probably not. Our service was excellent, the modern minimalist design of the restaurant is appealing. Portion sizes are on the small side, but if you want large portions you'd likely end up across the way at Cheesecake factory to begin with. During the warmer months this would be a great place to get a consistently well prepared meal, sit in the outdoor patio and enjoy some interesting people watching after a marathon day of shopping.
Party of two. We arrived right at lunchtime on a Tuesday. I took a few minutes before we were greeted, but we were seated immediately. It took awhile before our server got to us, but it gave us some time to peruse the menu. She got to us, took our drink order, a sprite and a water with lemon, and after several minutes returned with the drinks and took our order. After some time had passed, the server stopped by and freshened up our drinks. Awhile later our food was delivered, and our server came through and freshened our drinks again and asked if we needed anything. We didn’t. Later, we needed drink refills for a good while before she made it by to fill them. When we were finished, my Wife got a to-go box and we paid. The food, very very good. Wife said her’s was excellent, and I definitely enjoyed mine. Price was decent for the food quality. We will definitely be revisiting, but we will try to avoid lunch rush.
This popular dining spot attached to the Green Hills mall has a wonderful menu of Italian dishes to choose from, but can become quite busy in the evenings and on the weekends. I would advise setting up a reservation or requesting the outdoor patio when they open it up. Sitting at the bar or the high tops continually has shown me that the bar staff can't handle providing food service and making drinks for the restaurant. I felt bad for the couple sitting next to me that ordered their entrees before me and didn't receive them until after I had finished my meal with little explanation. Hopefully the managers can remedy this and ensure that everyone has the same dining experience.
Lighting was an appropriate level, and noise was not too bad at the bar. Service was good considering how busy the restaurant was on a Thursday. Food did definitely not meet our expectations for a $180 meal (including four cocktails and two appetizers). My wife's short rib lasagna was excellent, but the pasta I had with crab lump and 'tiger shrimp' (fairly indistinguishable from your average grocery frozen shrimp) was subpar at best, and the general flavor of the pasta could be best described as buttery shrimp juice.
We’ve been to this location multiple times and the hosts are almost non existent. They always take forever to even see we are standing there. Servers are well trained but the food takes a very long time to come out. Increase and/or train kitchen staff to be more efficient. We have been to the Colorado location and they are more efficient with better service. Otherwise the food itself and the servers are great!
Today we thought of giving this location a chance. As a family of four we have been to this location 3 times as well as Birmingham, AL and the one further south in Franklin. It took 56 minutes for our food to arrive. I ordered some coffee, we didn’t get sugar then as it was too cold server changed it this time no spoon. Small details but along with the almost an hour long wait, it built up. We came here for the Calamari, the Italian Sald and the Pig Pizza. All those three items they “ran out” of. I seriously think that it’s just management, because the franchise itself is a great one. In other locations we have been amazed by the food and the service, here though - very disappointing. You would think that especially in this location you would put your best management team given all the wealth and elite retail around… not yet. Also, if you don’t have a reservation get ready to wait 2 hours. That’s the case ALL THE TIME so reserve if you truly want to come here (and wait and hour for your food). At the end the manager talked to us trying to keep us seated but they accepted the fact they would have to start the food from sctratch after screwing up and not cooking anything for almost an hour. We just paid for what little we consumed between drinks and one appetizer. Really terrible terrible experience.
Came for lunch on New Year’s Day. Service was fine, not great. We ordered the zucca chips and they were all in crumbs and impossible to dip in the aioli. We ordered the pizza and it was burnt. Not sure if they were having an off day.
Love the lighting and the interior of the place. The vibe was nice. However, I had high expectations of the food but it turned out okay. I had the strozzapreti, the flavor was poor. My friend liked the salad with a side of salmon. The shrimp pasta was also okay and the pizza was cheesy and fresh. Lastly, for the appetizers the zucchini chips were oily and they tasted like nothing but the garlic bread was okay. The service was nice our waitress was friendly and since we were a big group so she had trouble with our ticket which took way longer than it should but that's understandable. Overall a very mediocre place.
Went here yesterday evening for my husband and I anniversary and our birthdays, which are 10/7, 10/8, 10/9. We ordered the shrimp scampi for an appetizer, which was amazing and full of flavor! Then we ordered entrees, my husband ordered the chicken pesto and I ordered the seared scallops. My husband said the chicken pesto was okay and my dish was okay as well this is the reason for my review. Scallops could’ve used some salt and pepper to match the corn risotto which had flavor. For dessert I ordered the hazelnut torta , the dessert was bland as well. Very disappointing as I was expecting full of flavors being it was an Italian restaurant! Oh and my drink was the Sicilian margarita, which was very strong but tolerable and worth the price in my opinion!
I came in over the weekend with friends. I had the spicy rigatoni pasta which was excellent and my friends shared a pizza. The service was great too. The bathrooms were clean and the ambience was inviting. However I feel I must comment on an interaction I witnessed between a server and who I assume to be manager. It was a bald man with glasses talking down to a female server near our table. His tone was disrespectful and the server was noticeably upset. Ive worked in service a long time and I would never allow my employees to treat other workers that way. The restaurant was slammed and I can only assume she was busy and having to deal with a tough boss would only make things more stressful. The food at North Italia is good, but the hostility might leave a bad taste in your mouth.
I took my wife to dinner at North Italia last night around 7:30. We got a table right away but then waited 20 minutes to be greeted and another 10 minutes to get our water and coke. We order the truffle bread as our app which took another 15 minutes to come to the table. My wife ordered the hot honey pizza and I ordered chicken parm. The pizza was undercooked and chewy. There was absolutely no crunch when she bit into it. The Chicken was good with my chicken parm but the noodles that were served with it were cold and very undercooked. They had more crunch to them than my wife’s pizza. Our server was nice and atmosphere was over very nice but the food and wait ruined it. Our total was 81 dollars and definitely not worth it for the food we were given. We didn’t complain while we were there because we had already waited so long for our bad experience we didn’t want it to take any longer. Over all it was over priced for undercooked food.
We are three guys visiting the United States and we were looking for an Italian restaurant, we had a big problem because they did not accept our visa from Colombia they were simply accepting an ID from the United States. This is quite complicated. They are racist people with the Latinos, they did not serve glasses of water without lemon and the other gringos who were in the place were served with glasses of water in the lemon. This is incredible that they act like this with people who visit the state of Tennessee to take a great experience from this city and from this state it was definitely my worst experience in a restaurant if they are Latinos, do not go to this place it is the worst place for Latinos. They really don’t want them
My mom and I dined here for the first, it was a great experience, food was great, drinks was good, our waitress ( Emily ) was amazing until we closed our check. My mom said I didn’t have to leave a tip because she was going to leave one, as we were signing our checks getting ready to leave, Emily came to the table and ask us was the service was bad because in her words i left her $0. Me and my was confused and said no the service was great. I gave her $10 and she walked away upset. I’m still unsure why she was expecting a tip if my mom was covering the tip. Then my mom gave her $20 on top of the two previous tips, and also spoke with the manager on the great service but yet we didn’t feel like we were obligated to extend that courtesy, so the ending made the experience not so great for my mom and I, which we have no plans on returning.
