This place was really amazing. I didn't check the location before placing an order for pickup, and I was actually an hour's drive away. I called to let them know, and to ask them to put my drink (which was pretty inexpensive) in the fridge. They were very friendly on the phone and then happily kept it in the fridge for me until I got there. Despite being chilled for an hour, the boba was absolutely delicious. From the quality you can tell that it's made fresh. The Thai tea that I got with it was perfect, too. I definitely recommend this place -- it was 100% worth the hour long drive! 😋

I used to frequent years ago and came recently to order a matcha slush with rainbow jelly. This is a chill hangout spot with food, games, macarons, and mochi ice cream😋 It’s small, so be prepared to not have a place to sit. I regretted ordering just the regular size because it was just so satisfying. Seriously… give it a try if you like matcha! Normally I would get the Thai tea slush with rainbow jelly, but I wanted to switch things up. I mean yes, the wait can be frustrating if you’re in a hurry… but can you blame them? The drinks are actually GOOD👌🏽 It was busy in there per usual just like back then and I see why… it was packed in there and I waited probably like 10 minutes with my mini pork eggrolls. The eggrolls were alright, but it isn’t your typical eggroll from the restaurants. I was expecting something bigger but it tastes great with the sweet chili sauce.

My go-to boba place- SD Boba Tea in National City. I live closer to the Tj border. So, unless I am in no dire need for a boba fix, I would rather make the 8 mile drive to SD Boba Tea. Yes, hands down. I have gone here for meet ups with my friends, taken family here many a times, have purchased gift cards, done boba run for co-workers, or just sat around for a moment just because I was plain thirsty. SD Boba is not a very large place, may not have anywhere to sit and wait, so just be patient. Waiting in your car is ok too. You will get a text message when your order is ready for pick up. Staff at register are always friendly and acknowledges customers that walks into the shop. Good customer service. I like their system as it’s easy and efficient … you go to register and order, pay for order, wait for order, when your names up, you pick up your order on the other side of counter. If you’re dining in, same routine, just need to find your seating area. Of course, if you’re new and need more time to check the large selection of drinks and food that’s posted on monitors, it’s best you allow the next person behind move forward and order. Especially, if there’s a long line out the door, which happens often than none. SD Boba Tea drinks taste fresh and delicious and boba portioning is generous. I’ve been to other places in southern San Diego where boba was skimped and drinks were watered down. I have tried their chicken wings and crepes before. Also good. But it’s also taro slush with boba for me 100%. Oh, and they have a rewards program. Try it The owners are friendly. You will sometimes see them working at the register, passing out orders or in the kitchen working. Highly recommend 👍🏼

Came here for the boba anime meet up during comic con week. Had so much fun and LOVED the boba tea I got the mango smoothie with pearls and I swear I inhaled that thing. Can't wait to return next year! Thanks so much for hosting!

Staff was welcoming, and helpful ! Food was surprisingly delicious, we got jalapeño poppers and curly fries and they were yummy. Then we tried the macrons (Reese’s, cotton candy, captain crunch, and lucky charm) they were all pretty good, mostly tasted sweet but the Reese’s was VERY good, it was more complex in flavor than the others. Our boba drinks were also great too !! I recommend their brownie batter drink & their coffee milk tea with coffee jelly !!

Yesterday I visited SD Boba Tea. We started off of with the pistachio milk tea boba which was really amazing. Next up we tried the Ferrero Rocher and Brownie Shakes which were heavenly. The consistency and taste was perfect. For food I highly recommend breaded zucchini. We also had mozzarella sticks and sweet potato fries. Belgian Waffle and Honey brick toast are definitely a must try. Overall experience was amazing. Definitely a must visit.

I was in San Diego for a week and had to stop by a few times. I love the consistency of the boba, and thought it was the best of a few places that I tried in town. I tried the brick toast as well, which was also good.

I LOVE THIS SAN DIEGO BOBA!! The Boba always taste fresh. They really care about getting your order tasting perfect everytime. Even COCO my dog loves it. Ok now let's talk about the BRICK TOAST!!! melt in your mouth warm, toasted to perfection with honey it's a must have. They are always busy so it does take a little more more time , but so so so worth it. SEE YOU SOON SAN DIEGO BOBA💖🤗💖🤗💖

A very fun, lively place to relax, play board games and just enjoy your drink. One of my favorite places to come to. I come here frequently with my family to get boba and I was even a customer before they changed their name from Lollicup to SD Boba Tea. I am proud to see they have grown as a business and wish the only best for the employees and management there. Highly recommend coming here.

The second I walked in it sounded like all workers behind the counter greeted me. Awesome first impression! Drinks and food are on point, lots of tables and games to play if you chose to. They also have wifi and music playing. A gentleman would walk around a couple of times and ask if everyone is doing great and if they needed anything. Another would take any plates or trash from tables while everyone enjoyed their stay. Fantastic customer service!!

SD Boba Tea is yet another "boba" tea shop with many of the typical milk teas and made to your liking (e.g. less sweet, more ice, etc.). The jasmine milk tea was good, but a bit on the thin side and sweeter than I like, but that can be adjusted. It lacked the richness found in other boba places like 7 Leaves or Lolicup. However, they also sell ice cream and different types of mochi ice cream, hot and cold coffee, shaved ice, popcorn chicken, crapes, and a few other items besides boba milk teas. Masks are not required, but only a few customers are allowed in the store at a time. After you order, you'll need to wait and pickup your order outside at the pickup window. They do have few shades up, so you won't have to stand in the sun. FYI,... there was another SD Boba Tea shop located in the same shopping mall. I wasn't sure if it was a new or old location. Just a heads up.

Not sure why the line here is always long because I didn’t think the milk teas were that good. Maybe because they offer food? They do have an extensive menu. The line moves fast. There’s two register inside and they take two parties at a time while every one waits outside. When it’s time to pick up your order, they call your name from the outside pick up window. We got the almond milk tea and pistachio milk tea. Both are super sweet. The almond was more powdery and the pistachio was more milky. It wasn’t consistent and I didn’t taste the tea flavor. For food, we got spicy popcorn chicken. It comes with sweet and sour sauce but it was missing from our bag. The popcorn wasn’t so crispy, it was more meaty. Only the small broken pieces were crispy. It also wasn’t “spicy”. We ordered sriracha wings (6 each) and spicy sweet chili (6 each). Both came with ranch for dipping. The wings are actually really good. The pieces were large, juicy, and outer was soft. Wasn’t baked crispy but cooked. We also got calamari (came with marinara sauce) and vaso de elote bites (came with ranch). My favorite would be the elote bites. It’s like tator tots filed with corn and cheese. Then the wings. My least favorite were the calamari. It had a plastic string around the outer ring right under the fried shell. Didn’t feel safe ingesting it. It’s so unfortunate I have to write this review today because I have enjoyed this place for years and love supporting local businesses but my experience yesterday was horrible and I will not be giving my business to this establishment again. My family and I went in around maybe 2:30 pm I don’t know the exact time. We bought drinks, wings, shrimp balls and macarons. Where things went wrong was that we ordered 3 orders of shrimp balls which were supposed to have 7 in each bag. We received 16 balls total which means we were missing 5. Normally I would have cut my losses but my group of 3 was sharing theses balls and I paid for 3 orders so we decided to go back in to get the 5 missing balls. Instead of being professional the cook who came out and spoke to my sister about the missing balls accused my sister of eating them and when she said no she didn’t they weren’t included with our food he doubled down and accused her again and saying “are you sure”. He was rude to her, rolling his eyes and having an attitude with her for absolutely no reason. Mind you between the three of us we spent over $60 in product and even tipped them but he was going to accuse us of cheating them out of 5 shrimp balls? I work in food service and I would absolutely never accuse someone of this let alone double down on an accusation like that. He never apologized or took any responsibility for his behavior or actions instead had a separate employee come out and apologize for the missing food only, not the interaction. After realizing what we experienced was wrong my uncle and I went back in and tried to speak with the man who made those accusations and they refused to give us his name or let us speak to him. We asked to speak with the manager and all she could do was agree he was unprofessional and said he handled the situation inappropriately. I appreciated her willingness to apologize but she also kept trying to downplay his actions and behavior when all we wanted was an apology and explanation from him. I have supported this business for years and this situation and the lack of accountability made me realize I can and will be taking my business somewhere else. I completely understand we all have our bad days and he may not represent the whole business but I really didn’t appreciate the way they didn’t try to right his wrong. We got no apology or accountability whatsoever from that man. If he is reading this review I’m sure you must be so proud of yourself bullying my sister like that over 5 shrimp balls when all you could’ve done was your job! I hope you reflect on this situation and treat future customers with good customer service!
