We ate our delicious food. I got served with my food a little slowly but they take you're you're order right when you come in. The place was clean.

My go to pollo loco in town ! Food is always delicious and they are not stingy with their salsas. The employees are nice as well.

Luz and Damien changed my El pollo loco experience forever. That's customer service personified. Everything ran smoothly even though it was sort of busy. Even though one of her workers was new Luz did what true leaders do. She educated not scolded or embarrassed her worker.i also watched maturity beyond the years that Damien has in him. A customer got in his face and unfazed he finished taking her order and even went and wiped her table where she ate. That's a teachable moment. Thank you both for that..

It was first time trying Pollo Loco and all I can say is it was the best. All the employees were very nice and very welcoming. I liked the environment of the restaurant it felt very welcoming, Ill definitely be visiting again.

Love the $5 dollar deals they offer! Burrito or 3 street tacos or a bowl!! Good, light and quick!! 🐔 And you get a soda!! Go try them if you haven't yet!!😊 can't beat a grilled chicken meal!!! Family deals are good too$$

Staff was very courteous and made rounds in the dining area to check with patrons. Was my first time back to El Pollo Loco in almost 15 years (moved away) and the food is as good as ever.

It seems like it's back to being run well and fast, with fresher food again. I always go get the family deals when the coupons come through the mail. Can't beat it then, it's like cheap meal prep for the week.

Ok to start off explaining why im giving 5 stars even tho i had a bad Experience its Solely because of the manger Elizabeth and how she handle my misFortune she went out of her way to make it right ok so i placed an order thru the el pollo loca app which for delivery they then sent it to doordash well i waiting and waiting for my food next thing i know i get a notice saying its been delivered so i go to the door but no food so i call the Restaurant to find out what happened to my food well let me tell you what happened this fool from DOORDASH i want to make sure you know it was not el pollo loca but this doordash driver left my food on a curb somewhere YES!!! A curb so not only did he leave it outside to get cold and on the ground but im Apparent Supposed to go and hunt for it never called me nothing so i call the Restaurant and the manger Elizabeth was able to get me a full refund but also for all my troubles remade the food and hand Delivered it to me herself so thank you Elizabeth cause we were hungry

Always fresh and great service! We've been here a few times since moving and we'll keep coming back. The only issue is the cleanliness around the salsa bar. My onions tasted like chemicals last time and the area wasn't the cleanest. I understand, as it was busy, but maybe more care could be taken as a lot of people use it.

My first visit there. The chicken is awesome grilled taste. I had the special $20 for 12 pieces and 3 sides. Black beans have a ranch style seasoning that I liked. Corn also had a great seasoning. The cole slaw was good. Overall it was a very good dinner!

Your go to spot for your catering needs! Food was delicious, reasonably priced and well thought out. We ordered EPL for an event that served almost 100 individuals. The boxed lunches and side catering items made serving lunch super easy! The general Manager Luis Alvarenga, was very helpful and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions from price, to packaging and made necessary accommodations. From the initial ordering, to payment and delivery, we experienced wonderful customer service! Food was delicious and good temperature. The food was labeled and organized (helped the distribution process go smoothly!) It was very well thought out! Luis arrived on time for delivery and double checked the order with us upon arrival. We appreciate working with Luis and his team. Definitely look forward to consider EPL for future catering needs!

This location on Midway has a friendly and professional staff. The food was fresh and delicious. I took my carry out but I went inside to order. The inside is clean and they have an outside eating area in the front. Everything looks new the decor is nice. I wouldn't mind eating inside. They have bathrooms...but I didn't go inside. Ample parking and easy to get in and out. I'll keep coming to this one!

El pollo loco got some bomb chicken. I got a pollo bowl my last go round. Its decent. I love their salsa bar. That avocado salsa so good.

Good Mexican fast food chicken place, they roast and season the chickens fresh, so the meat is amazingly tender and flavorful for chain burrito place. If you're craving a tasty chicken burrito at fast food price, this place can't be beat.

Don't bother with the chicken rolled tacos. They are flavor less and not filling. The customer service is cool though for a fast food joint.

Decent tamales they seemed like they were missing something. Nice customer service. Really busy at this location. Still food didn't take too long.

As close as a Mexican fast food place you're going to get. My favorite meal? The Pollo Bowl combo, which comes with fire-grilled diced chicken breast, pinto beans, rice, diced white onions, cilantro, and pico de gallo, as well as a choice of corn or flour tortillas, and a soft drink. For dessert? The churros, for sure! I usually post pictures with my posts, but the food was so good... I forgot! ;)

First the good news-- the food tastes great & is not too expensive. Now the bad news! They can't seem to get the orders right! Three times, THREE times I asked for a Double Chicken Tostada Salad and THREE times they told me they were selling me a Double Chicken Salad! Intolerable! They have sold me the wrong item several times now & if it were not for the fact that the food tastes sooo good, I would Never go back!

My rating is based on all the times I've been to this location. The last visit would have been lower on its own. The cashier did not seem to know what she was doing, and I had to order a drink for my friend because she forgot to ring one on his order.

This was my second visit to El pollo Loco. I enjoyed the chicken the first time, the only fault was they have tiny chickens. LOL This time I tried their new double chicken tostada bowl. It was a good thing for lunch. I enjoyed it really.

Food is good here and staff is nice. They just recently got rid of their tropical ice tea which is a real bummer because they were the only place I could find that has it and it was yummy!

Very friendly service on the multiple occasions that I have stopped by this location. The restaurant area has always been clean and tighty as well as the bathrooms. The parking lot can be a bit tight when entering and exiting from Midway Dr, and if you miss the lot there is only one entrance.

The bathrooms smelled so bad. I get bathrooms don’t smell the best, but they literally smelled like a port-a-potty. We ate our dinner but had to go to the gas station across the street to use the restroom, which had a very clean and no odor bathroom.

I had forgotten how much I loved this place. Got a meal just to eat on the plane. Everyone was jelly. The crew was Hispanic and I absolutely love listening to them roll their R’s. The restroom was clean enough just not the best smell. The dining was welcoming. I wish I was hungry enough when I ordered it to eat it fresh. You should never wait! Lol

We tried the burritos, the bowl, and the chicken plates. They were all overall good, though the food lacked a little flavor. If you've been to Pollo Regio, you'll understand what I mean. The employees were very nice and the establishment was very clean. It is worth a try.

We enjoy the chicken from El Pollo Loco. Usually get the multi-piece family pack with two sides. We prefer the salad and steamed broccoli. Those items are consistently great for us. We order the corn tortillas to go with our meal but the staff doesn't always give the corn. 2 of the last 3 times we've gone through the drive-thru, when we get home we find that they've given us the wheat version. Losing stars for poor service and not providing the food ordered.

The parking lot looks tight but it's actually fine. The drink fountain has a very limited selection and usually isn't set right making there's soda taste funny. But three staff ous great and the food is Good. Careful,the loco salad is not that loco.

Normally I'd be inclined to rate EPL 5 stars. This location was out of avocado salsa, nearly empty with two trays of pico, and on each of the three tostado bowls I ordered there was zero pico, almost no avocado, and 75% of the content was iceberg lettuce. Very disappointing compared to any other EPL I've been to.

A taco hop stop at El Pollo Loco wasn't a very good idea. Well, at least we've learned not to do it again. The tortilla alone can speak for it self, very boring & blah!

The chicken was dry and the salad tasted like fish. It has been a real hit or miss. I've had good food here before. The staff is always amazing.

Abigail was amazing, the rest of the staff include the manager, are very upset. The services it's not really good, they no cut the chicken right. That's why they will give you small pieces. Wait 30 minutes for the ice, because the machine was empty.

It's not bad with the app but the pigeon is small so if you're like me and you only eat once a day and you try to be an anaconda and literally just suck it all down hole and process it for the next half a day you will definitely be hungry and still craving more but if you're a normal person they could actually afford to eat more than once a day and you've already had your breakfast and even crazier if you had lunch as well then one of these little combos will be okay for you but again the El Pollo Loco is small to keep their prices competitive they've gone and Shrink the chicken they still gives generous portions on the sides it's just instead of getting a pack of 3 tortillas and now you get a pack of 2 tortillas and it works out better because there's really not even enough chicken if you were to make tacos out of it the two tortillas is basically when you get a two-piece combo even if you go for the four piece you'll be kind of full but it won't be satisfied but I'm a big guy so I always have those issues unfortunately for me I just don't know how to eat right I can't eat two or three meals a day I can never afford that I have to spend 8 to $10 a day on food so it's basically one meal but when they give a good deal I'll take what I can get because it's still tasty

The good was great, the restaurant is somewhat clean I think this staff never smiles. Not friendly, and speak Spanish around guests that can't interpret. Which I think is not good customer service.

From out of town. First time at this place. Went late, only 1 person at counter. Upon entering, was not greeted with a "hello, we will be with you in a moment.' So, we were just standing there waiting for about 10 or so minutes before we were addressed and I didn't like that. Finally, when our order was taken, it was done quickly, so there was that. Food: 8pc chicken, 2 lg sides and 4-6 tortillas. I added a small coleslaw. Chicken was good, but needed seasonings. We also got rice and mac n cheese. Chicken was cooked hours before I ordered it. Dry and tiny, paid for juicy and large. Very disappointed, was looking so forward to enjoying the chicken that I haven't had in over 25 years.

Always filthy floors and tables. Don't ever use the restroom as the bums have destroyed it . Lots of bums inside and outside . I have seen several bum fights inside and outside of the store. I only go here because it's close to me.

I went to store 3563 location on 3444 Midway Drive San Diego, CA on Saturday, 9/8/18 and decided to try the new Taquito combo. I was served burned taquitos and when I tried to explain to staff that the meal was burned, he adamantly, argued that that's how fried taquitos are made and look. Though I am not Hispanic and may not know how those things are made, I at least knew that they were burned. Being completely, dumbfounded by his response, I walked away with a meal that I ended up trashing. Please listen to your customers, replacing 3 burned taquitos is far from plunging El pollo loco into a financial crisis.

The food is good, however in 3 visits I was overcharged 3 times! When there is a giant poster in the window advertising a $20 meal, and the same items pictured in the poster ring up at $2-3 more every time, someone is cheating. VERY ANNOYING!!!

Unfortunately I had to let the cashier know three times what I wanted. He also forgot to give you my drink I had to ask for that and the meatless taco with avocado had no avocado and the meatless very little and greasy. Very disappointed at the last time I was here a month ago that was good.

There's not much pollo in their dishes and they got my order wrong. I asked for a chicken cheese guacamole burrito and got the chipotle one. Taste was good so I ate it without complaining, but the burrito itself was more rice and beans with just a sprinkle of chicken and a quarter avocado in one big chunk at the bottom of the burrito. For 13 bucks I would expect the main ingredient to be chicken, but no. Husband got the 4pc chicken with small side dishes. The chicken pieces are very small too. Service was amicable and atmosphere is nice, but I would not recommend.

I’ve ordered from this location numerous times. the first time was great. the second , my chicken arrived and smelled disgusting, almost like fish. i couldn’t even eat it , it was so gross. i then ordered again. it wasn’t bad no complaints until i went today. first they gave me the wrong bowl but i didn’t notice til i was home. i got tortillas, they were not in the bag. i decided id still try the bowl and i was eating it until i kept picking boney, extremely fat pieces up. i had barely any decent chicken, it was all fat and bone. it was gross, and tasted like low quality food, ive had good experiences at other locations but this one always is the worst.

I named Lucas in there got my order wrong and made me feel like I'd said something wrong.

Do Not I Repeat Do Not Order From This Place. Yesterday (10/10/18) I placed an order for delivery at 11:32 am by 12:30 pm I had not received the order, so I called the store, but they were too busy to talk to me. So I called the corporate number for customer service, What a Joke!!! It's basically an answering service, I called this store back when general manager came back in (3 pm) I explained to her that I had not received my order, but my bank card was charged for the amount. She hurried to get me off the phone & said the district manager had issued a refund. LIARS!!! NO REFUND & NO FOOD!!! I will try calling again for the 6th time today, but it's useless, nobody at the restaurant or corporate HQ knows how to handle the situation, basically I was robbed!!!!

Went thru the drive through this afternoon while on that side of town. Got home and neither burrito was included. Just the drinks and sides. Called and they said I could drive back and get them.

Placed an order for curbside pickup but now I'm at the location and they never pick up the phone! Inside is closed, drove thru has a huge line. Why do you enable curbside pickup orders if the workers are not willing to pick up the phone? Not coming back.

Went to pick up dinner here for my family, they had no chicken ready to go at 745 on Sunday evening. There was very little on the grill cooking. I was told I could wait 30 minutes. This place was a dump when I went inside to order, very dirty and outdated. No more el pollo loco. Chipotle instead

This was our first and last visit. Ordered curbside pickup. No one brought it out. Had to go get inside to find the order had been sitting on the counter. Food was cold. Staff was rude. Order was wrong. We ordered corn tortillas and got flour. Ordered mashed potatoes but got mac and cheese. Rude staff terrible food. Will never be back. If there was an option for a negative ten rating I would use it now.

I tried this different location hoping for better experience than at another location, which I stopped going to. Drive thru order, which, my bad, I didn't check until I got home. They got the order wrong. Leg and thigh instead of breast and wing, and flour tortillas instead of corn. Sheesh. I called the 877 number and was told someone would call me to refund my charge. Surprise, surprise; no call. I am done with Pollo Loco. Done, done, done.

El Pollo is one of my fav places to eat but there aren’t any outside of California that I’ve seen so I was excited to get off that plane and get me some . Well, I don’t know what happened to this locations food but the chicken was dry. I’m like ok maybe it’s because I stopped by late thru the drive thru. Went back the next day and went in and said give me some freshly cooked chicken. He said it’s all fresh . Ok, I can see that so I get back to my room and the chicken is dry again and overcooked. The wing was charred and the rest wasn’t any better . So disappointed … oh and they also got my side orders wrong TWICE. Should’ve gone to the one in Imperial Beach

I get the double avocado chicken salad often but today it was bad! Chicken was dry, hard and tasted rotten. I threw it away afraid of getting sick. I can’t believe they allowed this to leave the store. It was obvious the salad was old( avocado was brown) lettuce used was part normally is thrown away. I can not get that taste out of my mouth , it was not good! I have ordered this so many times and I am very disappointed this happened. I also got burrito and it was fine. The drink was about 3 inches from being filled. New employees? Idk but this was rip off and dangerous to eat. Bad chicken is not a good thing. I complained to Door Dash have no idea what they will do? Best not to get this on delivery, go into restaurant to make sure food has not been out for hours.

Worst experience EVER!! Ordered curb side pick up. Waited 30 minutes and finally went inside only to find my order sitting on the counter. There was NO intention of ever bringing it to the car. If I had wanted to go inside I would have never ordered curbside. The staff was extremely rude. Tossed me my order and walked away without a thank you or an apology. The food was cold and the order was wrong. Didn’t get the sides I ordered and got the wrong tortillas. Don’t waste your time or money on this place! It SUCKS! If I could rate this a -10 I would as it doesn’t deserve a 1 star.

Order was not correct, food was cold. We didn’t even question the cold items, oh well it’s a pollo loco. Restaurant argued over providing the missing items, and we had to press for a refund which they eventually gave us. Employees could not care less, manager was no help. Bummer, we’ve ordered from here a lot over the years, won’t be back, just not worth our money. We will still support the chain, just can’t bring ourselves to come back to this store in the future.

I got sick. For a while, I have gone through the drive thru, but they wear these blue gloves when handling food and the ice and cash. I got a bug that lasted about a day and was painful. Yeah, you're not supposed to wear those gloves due to transfer risk. So, I am using Jack N' the Box now, because I know they don't use those gloves. You can't wear gloves all day. You have to take them off, then wash your hands, especially if you're handling cash or if you went to the bathroom. So, I'm going to stay away from here for some time until that behaviour changes. One of the worst ones. Especially when comparing friendliness of staff: The men are okay but the women are always difficult here and combative. I don't enjoy coming here. Unfortunately, not a lot of healthy choice options out there, so I guess I'll have to suck it up. They remove the tea before 9pm and the place is messy because they close half of the dining area. So I just end up eating in my car. 🤷‍♀️

This lady in the video. Likes to roll her eyes every time I come in using my EBT card. And giving me attitude. I order the same thing all the time three thighs chicken meal. I'm a paying customer and a regular customer at this location why do I have to be treated this way is it because I'm using EBT? I spoke to the manager but the manager did not do anything about the situation. They just told me that I was no longer welcome at the location. I don't know why. I don't recommend anybody going to this location because all the staff members and employees here are very rude and not welcoming. Especially if you are using EBT.

Terrible Customer Service by Management. I was paying a visit to the Urgent Care center next door at 3444 Midway Drive after suffering an injury that left ne in a wheel chair. After my appointment I went outside to wait for my ADA transport back to my place of business. I saw Pollo Loco and wanted to order lunch while I waited. Because it was my first time in a wheel chair, I found it difficult to get inside so I called and asked to speak with a Supervisor to explain my situation. I requested to place an order and have it delivered outside. I made it clear that I was in the front waiting by the tables/tent area. The Supervisor was curt and unfriendly on the phone but told me the price and said they it would be coming out. After 20+ minutes , I called again and was told that I was not seen. Not true because I never moved. I switched to Spanish and explained again my situation ( so there is no misunderstanding ) , no one ever came. This was very uncomfortable for me. Shortly after my driver arrived and he encouraged me to complain to a manager just to make sure I wasnt being discriminated , he wheeled me inside and I asked to speak to a lady who appeared to be a supervisor/manager whom I just noticed arriving for duty . She came out of the office and heard my complaint but also did not seem apologetic but merely offered to make a quuck order. The earlier supervisor ( whom I deduced was the one I spoke to twice ) approached me and said " yeah she is a supervisor just like me " ( as if I wasnt going anywhere with complaining with her coworker) . At the end I heard laughter and mockery after I was wheeled away by my driver. Very trashy attitude and environment was experienced that day. Shame at this location. 3/31/22
