The food as a whole was absolutely phenomenal, but the highlight was definitely the nachos. My husband said they’re the best nachos he’s ever had in his life! The flavors with every dish were on point. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We went to celebrate my mom's birthday today at 1pm. We made a reservation and walked right to our table. Our waitress Maria was sweet, helpful and attentive. The food was fantastic, I especially Loved the sweet potato and mushroom enchiladas "christmas-style"! Thank you for the birthday dessert, chocolate cake flan, for my mom's 67th birthday!!!

Second visit to the National. Sat at the bar this time on a very crowded New Year's Eve! Bartenders were hustling with a full restaurant and bar. Ordered the chicken tinga tacos which came with beans and rice. We also had the chicken tinga quesadilla. For an appetizer we chose a roasted corn like dip. Was excellent!! Great flavor in all dishes. Spicy pear margaritas rounded out the order. Took a bit for one of the dishes so the bartender included a dessert which was very nice. Best churros I've ever had with a filling inside and a chocolate sauce to dip in! They are figuring things out already as time goes on in this wonderfully designed space!

I’ve eaten at The National Club Mexican Cantina many times and have also spent plenty of time at the bar. The food, drinks, and atmosphere have always been excellent. Because of those great past experiences, I chose to book their heated deck for our annual meeting, and the team absolutely hit it out of the park. Whether you’re dining with family, meeting friends, grabbing a drink, or hosting an event, The National Club consistently delivers. Always a five star experience.

Second time at the National Club. Excellent experience. Both times we’ve had Brianna as our server. She goes above and beyond. The food is delicious, drinks are great. Valet service is super convenient on weekends. 10/10 recommend National Club.

This was our first visit and it is everything we've been looking for in a Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere is perfection and the food and cocktails were spectacular. The margaritas were top notch with the limes juiced right in front of us. The food was prepared to order and absolutely delicious. We love Mexican food but were so tired of the prepared mushy food you find at most Mexican restaurants. I can not recommend this place enough. We are thankful they are here!!

Met some friends for dinner on a cold winter night, the atmosphere inside was warm and cozy, nice decor, margaritas were great, we shared the chips, salsa and guacamole, all delicious, my lobster tostados were yummy and my friends enjoyed the barria quesadillas and fish tacos. Niko was a fantastic server, attentive but not obtrusive and made some great recommendations. Will definitely be back.

We were at the National Club for dinner with a six person party, including one child. This restaurant is a high end eatery with a varied menu; it's not comparable to other Mexican "chain" restaurants. The service was outstanding ( our server, Jack, was phenomenal), the food was fantastic and, while expensive in comparison to Mexican restaurants like the nearby Frontera Grill, the prices at the National Club are more than fair for the great total dining experience.

We were so excited to eat at this New Bedford gem! The cocktails were delightful, the guac was excellent, and the tacos were delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is wonderful too, with good music, a lively bar, and great ambiance. We sat at the bar, and had great service from the staff. We can't wait to go back and enjoy our new local favorite.

It was my first time at National Club and I had such a great experience. The food was delicious, the margaritas were excellent, and the setting was quiet and intimate. Perfect for a relaxed dinner. I’ll absolutely be back.

Stopped by for dinner on this Sunday before Christmas. Beautiful atmosphere, food and drinks were excellent! Maria our waitress was the best! Not only was her service spot on she even took the time to snap a couple of pictures for us. Thank you Maria for service with a smile 😊

Heard all the buzz about National, and it definitely lived up to expectations! Maria's service was fantastic, attentive and pleasant. Food... woo! The Carnitas were falling of the bone tender, and the fajitas were delicious. The margarita was incredible as well. Looking for an excuse to be back soon!

Once again, Served Well hospitality brings this city another wonderful, classy and well run establishment for the community to enjoy. We visited on the second day they were open and other than being busy, which was to be expected, you couldn’t tell it was only their second day. It’s obvious they hire well and train even better when it comes to the staff. From the front of house manager to the valet parking team, everyone was great. Drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was classy and tasteful. I felt like I was in Boston or Providence. Keep up the good work.

Simply incredible spot to enjoy a great meal in the Southcoast. The ambience is warm and elegant, and the food options are a nice variety from the usual options downtown. You would have to drive to Boston to find something as good as TNC. Highly recommend

Went last night for the first time. Still a little hectic for the first "official" week of being open. The food was quite good (probably a 4.5 out of 5) and the atmosphere was great once you got away from the noisy bar area. However, what really stood out to us was the wonderful service we received. Very nice and friendly. All of the staff were very attentive without being overbearing. Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes!

Absolutely amazing, now our new favorite restaurant. The Mexican corn is amazing!! We love reggaeton music, but maybe throw some more mexican ballads in the mix, atmosphere was top notch!!!

The National Club is a great addition to New Bedford! The vibes are as wonderful as the food and the service matches both! Maria, our server, made the experience perfect. She was very friendly and efficient. The ceviche is served in the cutest fish bowl I've ever seen and the cocktail menu is a 10/10. The interior is colorful and vibrant yet cozy and warm. Will definitely be back again soon!

Good barbacoa tacos. Would love to taste more smoked flavor and drain the barbacoa juice as much as possible, they typically are very juicy. Definitely coming back!

Amber was our server and she was amazing! The drinks were great. I ordered the Carne Asada tacos which I did not care for. It had a lot of fat in it. I think it should've had a vegetable or a condiment with it to make it a little tastier. My friend had the fish tacos and they were very good. The atmosphere was excellent. We'll be back!

First visit to the National Club for lunch. My husband was very pleased with his carnitas burrito. I ordered the nachos, which were good but dry. They needed more guacamole, cheese, and salsa. Additionally, all the toppings were on the top layer of chips…should have been layered throughout. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. We were seated at a corner booth to the left of the bar, and every time diners entered or left the restaurant we could feel a blast of cold air. The entrance could use some type of heating fan…not enough room to keep the outside door closed when the person in front of you is entering the restaurant. Noisy atmosphere. Service was good.

Great vibe, great hostess, and staff. The drinks and appetizers were delicious. Our waitress Maria was great. Small issues with our meals but management went above and beyond to resolve the issue. Look forward to coming back.

Did not like the food at all. Atmosphere is cool and our server was nice. Recommend if you want to try Mexican food with a spin on it, but not for me.

The Good, The Bad, and the Mexican? Absolutely Mid. The Good: Guacamole tasted fresh. The roasted chicken was flavorful. The yuca fries were crisp and tasty. The Bad: The rice was cold. The chicken tinga tacos smelled like wet dog. Inedible. The menu is a mishmash of influences and flavors. It's not Mexican or traditional at all. The margaritas are ok, and cater to the NB pallette. Overall the food was decent, but way overpriced. The place seems to get by on the atmosphere. They sell the experience over the food. The food is a solid 5-7 / 10. But they charge 8-10 prices.

Cool atmosphere. Love seeing this spot developed and liked artwork. Guac and chips delicious m, salsa more like black bean sauce, but chicken tinga tacos very very bland. Hopefully they allow mixing and matching taco platters soon. Margaritas aren’t in margarita glasses (not everyone cares about this, but bummer) and it had a TON of ice. If you go, order your margarita without ice! Server attentive. Parties were waiting for a seat near our table so a bit loud. Wish the best for this restaurant but if I’m craving Mexican will stick to Frontera. It’s just tastier in my opinion.

This was our first visit to the National Club. We were seated on the patio next to a cold, plastic window. It was very drafty, and I asked to move to another table, which was the only one available. We moved, but it was still cold. I can't imagine sitting there in January. They have heaters. The waitress said she'd have it turned on, but it never was. We also found the place very noisy. We both ordered the carnitas asada tortillas. It was okay. Good, but nothing we’d write home about. Our server was very confused. They were running a gift card promotion. Buy $100, receive $25. I wanted to buy two $50 gift cards for $100. I asked her if I would get the $25 promotional gift card. She said no, that I had to buy $100. Do two $50 gift cards not equal $100? I tried explaining it to her, and she didn't get it. So, needless to say, we didn't buy any. When I got home, I went to the website and added two $50 gift cards to my cart, and the promotional gift card was added. I didn't end up buying them because I prefer a physical gift card to a piece of paper.

It was pretty meh. The Guac and yuca fries were good. However, the chicken tacos I ordered literally smelled like wet dog (I don’t know any other way to describe the smell coming off of my plate 🤢). They did have cabbage in them but that wasn’t what I was smelling. This was definitely old meat or something like that. On top of that I’m including a picture of the margarita I ordered that was quite literally filled to the brim with ice. The picture you’re seeing is the amount of ice left over after I had finished my drink. At the end of the day we spent about $150 for two dinners and a couple of drinks that weren’t very good.

The manger Mike was the saving grace of the night. I would only consider coming back because of him. Our sever was good as well. Food was burnt, had bones and over all not good. Drinks were awful, it was alcohol over ice. Hopefully they get it together.

Not really impressed. Food was Luke warm at best. Server was non existent. Decor and atmosphere was nice. Just if I wanted cold to like warm food, I’d order take out. Wasn’t busy so I can’t say that’s why… Told the waitress and she didn’t seem to care. Better deal at Taco Bell and I am not a fan of that either!!

Had a reservation for 7:45 PM on 01/23/2026. Waited about 10 minutes (literally just now) as they let three other parties sit, including a walk-in… they had us standing in the middle of the restaurant to wait for our table. The brunette hostess, who was not very kind at all, came over to my boyfriend after this and asked if our party name was a different name that was not ours. After more standing around and seeing others get sat, we left to Moby Dick. Super disappointed especially as I was super excited to go here.

Good food. Completely unacceptable valet service. After an extremely snowy day with an unplowed parking lot, we were specifically instructed to turn in our valet slip 10 minutes before leaving so our car could be warmed up and brought to us. None of that happened. The car was ice cold, parked across the unplowed lot, and the valet simply handed us the keys and said, “there ya go.” That is not valet — that is self-parking with extra steps. This was the second time this so-called valet service failed to function as actual valet parking. We followed instructions, tipped appropriately, and still had to trek through snow to retrieve our own car. What made this worse was the manager’s response. When we raised the issue, he dismissed it by saying, “Did you have to walk four blocks to the car? No? Then that’s fine — that’s valet.” UMMM, no. That is absolutely not valet, especially at a restaurant trying to present itself as high-end. If you want to be compared to Boston or Providence dining, the service needs to meet that standard. Until then, stop calling this valet — it’s misleading and disappointing.
