This review is mostly for our wonderful server Johanna!! Food was good too but Johanna was the best waitress we've had in recent memory. Very prompt, cheerful, checked on us the perfect amount and was seemingly just as attentive to all her tables, and she had quite a few!!
The food was pretty good, but the service was amazing. Our waitress Jill who we’ve had a few times is an amazing waitress. I have never had anyone take care of us like Jill. I never run out of drinks or chips and salsa. She takes care of the customers and they enjoy that. If you want to bring in more customers keep Jill working. She’s absolutely amazing and my family appreciates her devotion.
A friend and I ate lunch there today, February 6, 2025. When we first sat down, we were seated extremely close to a table with screaming babies. Being a person without children, I asked waiter if we could move and he said no problem. They moved us and everything was fine. Our waitress was mary b. She made numerous recommendations on the menu because one of us had not eaten there before. She brought out samples so we could taste to see if we liked certain sauces before we ordered. She went well and beyond the extent and effort an average normal waiter / would ever do. I cannot say how much I recommend this restaurant and mary if you can be so lucky to have her waiting on you. The food was great. Enchiladas were wonderful.
My 6 month old daughter and I had lunch here and Brittney was our server. Everyone was so inviting and welcoming. My baby got lots of smiles and waves. Even the customers were friendly! The food— EXCEPTIONAL. I ordered the taco salad with fajita steak and creamy jalepeno as my dressing. Affordable and for the price, phenomenal. Definitely gonna have to bring my husband next time. 🤪 Phone did not eat first. 😅 Came back again in April 2025, Elizabeth gave excellent service and food was phenomenal again.
We love to sit at the bar. As usual we enjoyed excellent service and amazing food. Can’t go wrong with margaritas , chicka chicka boom boom, and tres leches. Brenda always takes good care of us
We had an amazing time at the soft opening for the new Chuy’s location in New Caney. All of the staff were attentive and so sweet. Our server, Joanna, was very accommodating and she really made sure to check in with the managers when there was an answer that she did not know. I really appreciate that because it showed that she was willing to always find a way to give us the best service. Shatera was funny and so helpful and gave us such friendly conversation. The food was phenomenal, as always, and I just cannot get enough of the green sauce and queso. I normally go to the one on 242 so I am glad to see this location open up much closer to home.
Loved Avery. She is so sweet. The chicka-chicka-boom boom enchiladas were very good.
Amazing food, great family atmosphere, and friendly staff. Hard to beat their ranch salsa, or their Tex Med enchiladas 😋. And their prices are 💯affordable. Classic.
Savanna was our waitress today. She was awesome. That girl was on it!! She was fast, attentive, and very nice. :):)
The food was great like always. But today we had the pleasure of having Kierstin as our server. Kierstin was very attentive and her smile and personality is just, well, delightful. I was actually brought a water refill before I knew I needed it. Blew me away. If you’re ever at this location ask for Kierstin.
Extremely wonderful place hands down. Walked in and the hostess quickly sat us. Chris came through with the chips and salsa and creamy butter jalapeno sauce even though it wasn't even his section. Love, love the team work. Had one of the best waitress I've ever had in my life, Mrs Mary Open honest and helped us in describing the food. Which is extremely yummy and filling. Highly recommend this place. 1st time and surely not the last. TY Chuy's teammates what a wonderful lunch, above and beyond with the service
Service was excellent kept my drink full and checked on us to see if we needed anything. The food was excellent no complaints at all.
I think we’ve found a new Sunday lunch spot! Emily was absolutely ON POINT with the service. She let us know that a kitchen snafu with an exploding Chile relleno had our order a little behind, but it was a matter of minutes and we were enjoying our meal. Chicken Flautas, queso, jalepeno ranch, salsa, and surprisingly the crispy tacos I stole from my daughter are all amazing, along with the aforementioned chile relleno. See you again next Sunday! ❤️
Thank you, thank you very much Erica, your service is definitely the best. Hey manager!!! Attention!!! I need a raise for Erica, workers like her grow big companies. Chuy's New Caney, the best of the Best
I'm an OTR Truck Driver and I like to try new foods in places I stop in. Today I chose Chuy's and I absolutely loved it. From the front door customer service, the Atmosphere, and to the very kind and very beautiful lady, Ms. Haley. Amazing service, very friendly, loved the conversations. The food was just as great. Thank you for making my choice worth the stop.
First time at this location and it was wonderful. Our server Cheyanne was the best. She greeted us with a smile and had the best customer service. The food was fresh and made how we ordered it. My family and I will be coming to this location from now on instead of the one in Humble. Thank you so much Chey for taking care of me and my husband, you are greatly appreciated. 5 stars across the board!!! 🙂🙂🌮🌮
Valley Ranch Chuy's did a great job with set up and service for our celebration on the patio. It was easy to reserve the party area, John made sure we had good wait staff. Katelyn and Sofia were a good team, they kept our drinks and chips / Salas plentiful. Thank you so much for helping me put together a successful party.
Second time here, absolutely amazing both times. I don't order off the menu and ask for whatever the wait staff's favorite! You get custom creations every time! This was the steak burrito with shrimp, boom-boom sauce and sliced avocado with green chili rice! Superb! Fox and Tyler at the bar have both hooked me up with extremely tasty food. Will be back for sure.
Great tex mex food. The whole family loved it. There was a gentlemen working there with dread locks who was the best. Very personable and great service, definitely will be back.
Brenda is amazing. Thank you! Food is great love the atmosphere will be back to see her in that manager position. You go girl 🙌🏽

The workers here are SO nice EVERY TIME. Im sad the portions are Drastically cut, i usually order this fajita for one and the tray is full of food, now there's a few pieces of meat, its about half of what is usually given. This is the second order that is made this way
Great Tex Mex. Their salsa and chips are soon good. Great service
We went on a busy Saturday night and were seated right away with my husband. Everyone was incredibly nice and respectful. Our waiter, Bobbie, was the best—so attentive and helpful. Our food was served hot and was absolutely delicious! I haven’t experienced service this good at a restaurant in a long time. We will definitely be back! Keep up the good work!
Ate at chuys a few days ago! Our server Mackenzie was just such a light in our evening. Her personality combined with hot food had us reeling even after we left the restaurant. I got a relleno plate and my husband enjoyed mixed fajitas which were BOMB. Our margaritas were 10/10 as well. Even during a busy black friday everything was amazing. I will be asking for her when we return and you should too, she was so kind, upbeat, and enjoyable.
We recently celebrated my daughter’s birthday at Chuy's, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. With the temperatures being quite cold that evening, I was initially concerned when we were seated on the patio. However, those concerns disappeared quickly. The patio was fully enclosed with protective plastic lining around the exterior walls, and multiple heaters kept the area warm and comfortable throughout our meal. It actually created a cozy and relaxed atmosphere that made the celebration feel even more special. The food was outstanding from start to finish. Every dish arrived fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, reflecting the consistency and quality you hope for when dining out for an important occasion. What truly set the experience apart, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about making my daughter’s birthday memorable. They checked on us regularly without being intrusive and ensured everything ran smoothly for our group. Overall, the combination of excellent food, thoughtful accommodations despite the weather, and top-notch customer service made this visit truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a fun, welcoming place to dine. I will absolutely return the next time I am in the area.
I love this place, this location especially. 1. The music is always on point (90's alternative rock is super nostalgic for me and I will always have a soft spot for it) 2. The food is not only always good and fresh but affordable as well. 3. The staff is amazing!! I usually sit at the bar, so shout out to Fox, Carmen, Tyler, and Cheyenne :) and also to Angel who is usually serving on the floor but she's super sweet too :) they are the reason I come back. (Although I don't come as often as I used to) I still appreciate seeing their familiar faces.
I am so sorry I do not remember my waitress name. (Short, blondish hair & GREAT personality!) I have Celiac which means CAUTION as to where I can go. No gluten, or soy! Food here was excellant and no problems. Terrific prices. Second time visit and will go again!!

Chuy's? More like Salty's ammirite? Food was decent, just everything was salty. Never had a salty tortilla before. Tripped me out
I didnt care for the ranch Dip, at least thats what it tasted like, or the salsa, tasted like canned tomatoes. But everyone has different tastes. The ground beef nachos were excellent, and service was good.
Took my best friend out and wanted tex mex food and this restaurant was outstanding with comfort service from all staff felt so respected and treated with profession courtesy and friendly staff food was served hot fresh not greasy has a small selection of desserts churros and tres Leche 😋 delicious cake.will be returning back.
Love the bright paintings especially the dog portraits. Service was good. It took us a little bit to find a comfortable spot but the greeter was very patient….salsa super salty as well as the creamy sauce (I have had it multiple times at multiple locations, but this is the saltiest!!) chimichanga five stars!!!
We attended a friend's and family event soft opening. We were greeted kindly at the front. We were offered a limited menu, while the choices were few, the selection were good. We decided on a steak burrito, chicken delux enchiladas and shrimp tacos. The food was delicious and service was what you would expect from early training. Will definitely be back when it officially opens on Tuesday 9/17/2024. Thanks for having us and welcome to the neighborhood 😁
The experience was to be expected from a chuys i usually go to the location in Humble but i figured I'd give this one a try. Loved it the creamy jalapeño and salasa was on point steak burrito with boom boom sauce, 2 fried eggs and avocado slices on top was amazing! Only thing I noticed was the steak was slightly more chewy than the one i usually eat at in humble, prob just that particular cut of meat but all in all it was a satisfying meal!
Chuy’s is a Tex-Mex restaurant known for its lively atmosphere and quirky decor. The place has a very authentic, vibrant feel, making it a fun experience as soon as you walk in. As for the food, it’s good but not exceptional. The menu features all the classic Tex-Mex options like enchiladas, tacos, and fajitas. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is evident. However, while the dishes are well-prepared, they aren’t particularly memorable. For instance, the creamy jalapeño sauce, which is popular among patrons, didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. The real downside of this particular Chuy’s location is its size. It’s a mini Chuy’s, which makes it too small for the number of people living in this area. During peak hours, it can feel a bit overwhelming due to the lack of space, which affects the overall experience. Despite the good service and pleasant atmosphere, the space limitation can result in long waits and a less comfortable dining experience. In summary, Chuy’s is a fun spot to enjoy decent Tex-Mex food, but keep in mind that the location is small and can get quite crowded.

i enjoyed the combo beef and chicken fajitas. they were on point. came out sizzling with all the sides. the refried beans and rice were both good as well. my 3yr old had chicken tenders and fries which he is a picky eater and i’m sure he liked it.
I visited Chuy's recently, we got seated fairly quickly. The waitress took our drink order and came back for our food order fairly quickly. The food was fairly good, but could have been better. The atmosphere wasn't good at all. It was loud, a table next to us were drinking and being very loud. We could barely hear ourselves talking. I watched a family with children get up and leave. This is supposed to be a family atmosphere. If there's going to be drinking and being loud, they need to go to the bar area.
Service was amazing wish I could remember the waitesses name, but it's always amazing. Very friendly staff. Food is good, nothing overly spectacular but nothing bad. Good for something different. The restaurant is a bit too crowded for my liking but that may be the intended design
It was my partner’s bday he wanted Tex Mex but we didn’t like the taste of the refried beans. He had fajitas said they were good my enchiladas and the sauces used just didn’t have that flavor that agreed with me. But it was texmex and he likes Chuy’s fajitas it’s all he ever gets anywhere we go so the fajita meat he said were good but he didn’t like the beans either or the salsa he makes his own at home. Wait staff was great and friendly.
The food was good and wait staff was attentive. Prices were reasonable. The menu is pretty small and missing some tex mex expectations, such as a tamale or chicharrones. There were lots and lots of chicken dishes. They used to have a child rellano with shrimp but its no longer on the menu 😒 I ordered the Mexican Cobb salad with beef fajitas. The fajita meat and overall salad was good but there was a lettuce core and brown edged lettuce in the salad. Someone in the kitchen should have knew better than to serve that lettuce. My husband had a combination plate and he liked it. I love the green sauce!

First, waitstaff was extremely polite🥰 Checked on us multiple times and when something went wrong, they were quick to apologize and try to fix the problem. Honestly if it wasn't for them, this would have been a 1 star. Unfortunately, things did go wrong. Delivered the wrong food initially, didn't bring my husband the sauce he ordered (after realizing twice), his meat was cold, my chicken was dry (but overall the dish tasted good) then got charged for something we didn't order. They were quick to refund and fix it. For a Tuesday night, too many things simply went wrong😪 I can't imagine how this would have turned out if they were actually busy😬 We don't get out much and this kinda put a damper on our date night😭
The ONLY reason we gave a three and not a two for service is because of our server . She did her best to serve us and those around us despite the lack of manager and runner support. We dined on a busy Friday evening so we expected some wait and delay, but what we witnessed was servers running around trying to work while all of those who we can only imagine were management stood to the side, talking and leaning on the bar watching them fail. Food was being brought to the wrong tables by runners, we never received out Queso appetizer, and we were served our food and no utensils (as were other tables). When we asked for utensils and napkins, we were given plastic to-go utensils that wouldn't even penetrate the burritos we ordered. Our server, Kim ran back to the dishwasher and washed utensils just for us , while the management staff with exception of one female manager who seemed to be helping as best she could, stood there doing nothing but talking to each other. Our server wasn't the only one experiencing this as we started observing the area surrounding us and noticed the same things happening. Our food was good, but our night out was ruined by everything else happening around us. I was shocked at the lack of action and support for the wait staff!!!
As a regular at Chuy's, I usually stick with the **Panchos**—those loaded nachos with beans, cheese, and your choice of meat are always a solid, satisfying go-to for me. But the last time I went, I decided to switch things up and try the **veggie enchiladas**. Honestly, they were pretty underwhelming. The filling (spinach, zucchini, peppers, etc.) was fine, and the sauce was decent, but there was barely any cheese in sight. It was basically just tortillas, sauce, and veggies—very basic and kind of dry without that melty, gooey cheese pull you expect from enchiladas. That's what enchiladas are supposed to be, right? Smothered in cheese, especially at a Tex-Mex spot like this. The rest of the experience was the usual Chuy's vibe—fun atmosphere, good chips and salsa, friendly service—but that dish really let me down. I'd normally give the place a solid **4.5 stars** because it's reliable and hits the spot most visits, but after this one, I'm dropping it to around **3 stars** overall. I'll probably go back, but I'll be sticking to my Panchos next time.
Been coming here since it opened but wont be going back anytime soon. The quality of service has been on a downhill slide for the last few months. Last few times we've been in, we get sat quickly but then nothing. No waiter for over 5 minutes sometimes 10. We usually try to do early dinners when we go on weeknights and I'm not sure of its shift change at 5pm or what but we cant even get water or chips while wait staff is wondering around the restaurant. Just wild to think about cause it is Happy Hour which I would assume is a prime shift. And it really stinks cause I love the food and their drinks are usually excellent but I cant bring myself to go back and support the poor customer service.
Service was terrible. Came in with my best friend and my kid to have some food and drinks. Our server was not attentive at all! My baby got no ketchup with her fries, I got the wrong tortillas which isn’t a big deal and an easy fix, IF the server actually bothered to check in on us! Not once did she come in to check on us. What infuriated me even more was she dropped off the check that I didn’t ask for yet because after I was finished with my food, I wanted a margarita. I felt basically like she was kicking us out. She checked on all her other tables except ours. I usually don’t leave negative reviews but positive ones. I am also in the server industry and at least tipped her 18% of the tab but it could’ve been a $20 if she actually tried to sells us drinks or at least been hospitable!!!

Our first time ever trying this establishment and wanted to give it a try since it was new in our area. Both my son and husband got food poisoning and I did not like my food at all. The waitress was very nice and that was the only pleasant thing about our experience. Chuy’s is not a place for us and our visit Friday will be our first and last. Also it was extremely cold inside.
Always check your food if you're picking up from this location. Repeat problems of them leaving off bell peppers and onions on tacos al carbon and repeat issues of not including beans and rice that is supposed to be included with the meal. They got me again with the no beans or rice being packed with the meal today.
First time trying this location and the last. The food was good but the service was HORRIBLE. Our waitress made us feel as we were a bother, she only checked on us twice. Now there was a waitress that was very nice and helpful. Thank you Emily for helping us.
Came in on black friday and as expected there was a big crowd waiting. We saw quite a bit of room at the bar so we chose to sit there since there was no wait. Our party of 3 sat at the bar and after a few moments we were greeted by Keisha. She took the other two people's drink order in my party and then walked over and took another groups order (She never took mine). We flagged her back over and said we were all in the same group and she said oh I didnt see you. 1 person in our group ordered a small margarita (She was brought a large) which wasn't a huge deal we just didnt want to be charged for something we didnt order. I never got my drink so after about 10 mins I asked her where my drink was and she pulls our her pad and oh what would you like. Mind you she had already took my order for a small margarita. She writes it down and walks off. Then she was making someone else's drink and was not confident in making it and when she brought it over even told the customer that it probably wouldn't be good but to just try it and see if she liked to her surprise the customer actually liked it. When other customers orders started coming out the food runners were asking where to put the food at the bar and she was very confused and couldn't remember who had what then began to blame the kitchen staff when they walked off. She seemee very overwhelmed with only 8 people at the bar. We had to ask constantly for drink refills and she would acknowledge us but then forget. I am not sure if this was a mess up on her part or not but two of our three orders were not correct. That part was easily fixed but I'm sorry to say that Keisha does not belong behind a bar she does not seem to know what she is doing and cannot handle small groups of people without being overwhelmed and messing up.
