I came across this restaurant because without wearing my glasses I picked the wrong Rockwell. The Uber driver brought me to 585 North Ave. to a residential facility called Rockwell as opposed to the Rockwell American restaurant on Wolf Lane. My sister and I got out of the Uber and we decided that we would find a place to have dinner. We walked and we saw a taco place across the street and then we saw a place called Smokehouse. Initially, we thought that it was closed, but then we saw people. We entered. We were seated by a nice young lady at the front. Then we had the most wonderful experience with one of your servers by the name of “Hector”. He asked if this was our first time at Smokehouse and we said YES! Hector gave us as much information, suggestions, and time to make our decision as to what we wanted. My sister decided to have half brisket with a side of street corn. I decided to have a burger that was absolutely amazing with some mac & cheese. We both took advantage of the buy one get one margarita special of which we did TWICE!. I must say Hector came over several times to make sure that everything was OK; that was much appreciated! While we were there, we noticed that there was a young lady by the name of Kimberly, that was absolutely extraordinary at what she does. We watched her work her magic at the bar! I’m quite sure there was not one customer who was not satisfied with the drink that she made for them! Hector was amazing! The brisket was so good. You could cut it with a fork; It melted in your mouth, the pickled onions were divine. The cornbread was fluffy and nice and the street corn was delightful. The only disappointment I had with this experience; I looked at your dessert menu and was salivating that you had a coffee infused bread pudding. My sister and I agreed this would be the take-home dessert for the evening only to find out that you did not have any and your reasoning, well you know what your reasonings are. Do I look forward to returning to the Smokehouse? Absolutely ! I will tell you this; I will call in advance to see if you have the coffee infused bread, pudding for dessert! ! I leave this by saying Hector thank you so much for a wonderful experience, Kimberly, you rock! And we will definitely be back as well as passing the word!

Super Bowl Sunday here was great! Drinks and apps unlimited for $65/pp. Great TVs and audio from all angles. Even let all customers try food that wasn’t on the menu; that was included in the unlimited price. Gave everyone shots during the half time show. Service was great no wait time for your reserved table.

Celebrated my 10 y.o. family birthday and it was just amazing. Our server Oswaldo was friendly, attentive, patient and took care of us like we were family. The owner also came over to speak to us and check how everything was. The food was amazing so yummy ! The whole experience from beginning to end was great! My family was extremely pleased and enjoyed their meals, they can’t wait to return!

This place is one of the finest establishments in Westchester. I first heard of these guys when they attended a food truck festival several years ago, and they were selling their award-winning wings. I was immediately hooked — we all know how hard it easy to find good BBQ anywhere, especially around here. FOOD - everything that I’ve tried has been A++. Wings, brisket l, burgers…even the empanadas are fantastic. DRINK - they keep a healthy rotation & variety of interesting beers. And they have a margarita called SmokeShow which is so delicious & popular that they actually keep it on top. They also have other inventive cocktails which are sure to please anyone. AMBIENCE - this is one of my favorite places to watch live sports because when it’s a big game, they crank up the audio throughout the restaurant so that you can actually hear the game action. (I hate going to other sports bars where you can’t even hear the game.) And even when there’s no game on, the music always keeps the place feeling fun. This place is a gem and i hope it stays around forever.

All 3 locations are exceptional. The food is consistently excellent. Hamburgers, chicken sandwich, smoked wing's, brisket and bread pudding are a few favorites. I can honestly say the brisket is the finest I have ever tasted. The staff are all friendly and professional the bar is nicely set up with many televisions. We look forward to going here it’s such a nice atmosphere. The bar has an extensive selection of beers and drinks. Thank you smokehouse for providing the true smokehouse barbecue experience!

Aidan was our server last night (Friday 1/19/24) at around 6PM. She was wonderful! We had our 2 kids and she put in the order for them to be brought out quicker. And when we said our daughter was jealous of our cocktails so we ordered her a sprite, Aidan spruced it up with some blood orange garnish to match our cocktails. She was very accommodating and friendly! Great atmosphere. Brisket is delicious!

It was our first time and we loved it, the food was delicious and we will definitely come back soon.

Been coming here since they were across the street. The new location has a great ambiance with a new refreshed menu. Everything tastes very fresh and homemade. My server Ella was fantastic. The owner even came by the table to make sure everything was up to par. Overall 10 out of 10 will be coming back. Highly recommend! Also as a side note they were very accommodating with my girlfriends severe shellfish allergy.

The food here is awesome! I gave this place a try for the first time and it did not disappoint. I had the jerk brisket tacos-- oh so good! The Mac and cheese was tasty and gooey, it was tasty but it was not hot, it was luke warm. The fried chicken was delish and the fries were scrumptious. Our server, Nat, was amazing, she was personable, prompt and very efficient. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The first overall experience was great - I will return for sure. Give them a try.

I had heard about smokehouse through a recommendation and I’m happy to say that it delivered. Parking nearby made it easy to access (1-2 block walk for public parking). Waiters were at helpful and attentive. Rangers and Yankees games were playing. Food was top order with the burger not being dry (smash burger with great attention to flavor) and the brisket was tender. This is what you come for really. The sides were mid but that was alright with us. Drinks were well made. While the desert was also really good, it wasn’t exactly a standout. I’m excited to go back and try a few other items off of the menu.

We’ve been coming here since they reopened. I think we get the wings every time! The brisket os very tender and the burgers are some of the best you can find in New Rochelle. I do want to try the Mikes Hot Honey Chicken sandwich next time!

Came for the Final Four and had a great time. TVs everywhere with the sound on so we could enjoy the game. My daughter enjoyed a cocktail flight. Very unusual and very good. The food and drinks were delicious.

My experience was so good today, I feel compelled to leave a review. I went to another well-known eatery on the Ave, only to learn they wouldn’t have the Bills game. I called the Smokehouse and they said they had a table for five and would happy to put the game on for us. To top it off, service was spectacular. I usually go to the Mamaroneck location, but NewRo might be my new spot.

Nothing short than amazing! Tender brisket, hearty rib, cruncy tacos, and finger licking good sides. I indulged in their two for one happy hour and got the The Georgia Peach [made with vodka]. 🤗

Great fresh food! They have lots of options and choices for amazing bar and snack food. Ideal place for brunch or to gather on the weekends to watch a game. Excellent spacious seating and parking garage right there. Large tv screens everywhere and they even have a slightly closed off area for party gathers or if you are with your family and don’t want to sit too close to the bar So much better than the smokehouse in Mamaroneck.

Those tailgate wings are something else... try em you won't regret it! It's like a smoked chicken wing with a great alabama white sauce on it!

The food is so amazing if you love the southern comfort vibe. Highly recommend the mixed grilled for 2- amazing! One thing I would say to mgmt- dim the lights. When it’s bright it has a cafeteria feel. I came here with family and they said the same- wish they would dim the lights. Other than than- food is good but people want and experience and vibe- you got it if you dim the lights

The inside setting is a bit tight and small but there is also seating on the outside underneath umbrellas. The food was tasty and the cornbread was unforgettable. The drinks could use a bit more "flare" to them and I think that the ice might be a contributing factor to the watery flavor. There is also a neat little game on the outside that you can play before leaving, where you toss bags into a hole made out of two sign posts. Would recommend this place for a casual meal to enjoy the scenery on a cool/hot day.

Hands down my favorite ribs place in New York. I wish the BBQ wouldn't be that sweet for things like the burgers, or pulled pork, but it goes great with the ribs. The service is amazing and the cornbread is legal crack. Incredibly delicious. If you haven't had this place, do yourself a favor and go! it's a must have.

Some of the best bbq I've ever had! Pulled pork was juicy and flavorful, roasted sweets were perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked, brisket Mac was filling and very rich and smoky. AJ was fantastic. We'll be back for sure.

I went ro.have lunch with my daughter and husband at this location. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is so delicious. I must say everything we order came out hot and succulent. We loved the cornbread, I think it's the best we ever had. The ribs and burgers were juicy and delicious. Also, the lemonade was refreshing and was a perfect blend of sweet and tangy. Unfortunately, our server Aiden(I think her name was), She is short caucasian lady was very rude. My husband and I were so surprised. My husband had called her to ask for something, and she rolled her eyes. Assuming she is tired and overworked, we looked past that and still tipped her. But otherwise, everything else was great. I would recommend them for lunch or dinner.

Smokehouse Tailgate Grill in New Ro hits hard. Wings? Best in NY, no debate. Smoked, sauced, grilled to perfection drizzled with lime! Insane 👌🏽 That cornbread? Sweet, buttery, with this golden glazed crust that melts in your mouth …honestly addictive. Tried pastrami + mustard (I detest both) and didn’t hate it—miracle but I still don’t love it. The brisket was smoky & tender .. I enjoyed it with their version of Mexican street corn. Iced coffee bread pudding was scrumptious! All of the flavors were perfect & didn’t taste much like iced coffee which I actually liked The venue is big, open and made for good times!Theres plenty of space to chill with the crew, catch the game, and eat swell✨

WOW!! We were just amazed!! Delicious, comfort food! We got pulled chicken, BBQ wings, BBQ bowl with pulled pork and veggies, Totchos with pulled pork and a burger. Everything was amazing!!!! It's the best smokehouse we have ever been (and we have been to many places). Our server was very sweet, attentive and smiling (very important when you are doing this job!!). Staff was friend and attendant, I may have had a clouded experience due to my post gym hunger but overall good experience. Rather loud for a Friday but the foot traffic should be proof that the establishment serves the community and serves it well. Cornbread was a bit “wet,” meats were well seasoned, great chicken, brisket and ribs. Will return.

Long wait on a Sunday and it appeared they were short staffed but the food made it a worth it. Delicious appetizer and grill platters! Famous shaken lemonade was mid and watered down. They were also out of all sodas except for root beer which I found weird. Hector is the best waiter!!!

While the service was literally outstanding, our server really did own the floor, the food was OK. The mikes honey sandwich did not have much flavor at all and was just a overpriced chick -fil-a sandwich. Service great and tunes were good.

Great food. It’s rare to find a BBQ spot that has great meat and great sides but they definitely have both! The service is always great. Can be family friendly but for the most part it full with the local college which are very respectful in my experience.

Nice BBQ spot in New Rochelle! I've been to there other location which is a little bigger but the food here is just as good and the staff is very friendly. Tons of whiskey and beer to choose from as well as good BBQ.

Tried out the restaurant and pickup last night for the first time based on rave reviews. Usually we get our ribs from Texas Roadhouse. Ordering and pickup was very smooth. The brisket, the bacon, and the chili were absolutely delicious. The ribs were a disappointment. Not only did they not fall off the bone, they were also dry. The ones from Texas Roadhouse are much better. If I had eaten in the restaurant, I would have returned the ribs, but for pickup that's not an option. Will go back for the other meat options, though.

T’was our 2nd time. Food, still a topnotch. ⭐️ We ordered the classic tailgate wings 🍗 for the appetizer—and the brisket sandwich was bomb. I say most of the food are very good but still definitely bang for your buck. I’ll give it a five. 🤗Service was better than before and the girl who took our orders was so accommodating and would even ask how we were or if we needed anything more from time to time. I appreciate it so much, I just forgot her name but thanks for being so nice. I know it’s a busy place but having accommodating waiters/waitresses makes a lot of difference.❤️ Keep it up! Love this BBQ spot. Never disappointed with the food here. Service was OK, had to hunt the waitress down just for water. They had I guess trivia night but wasn't told how to sign up to play or anything so we just had our dinner and drinks and left.

Best to make reservations. The hardest thing here is deciding what you want to eat. The ribs are fall of the bone delicious. The pulled pork needed a little more seasoning but was pretty good as well. Now the Mac n cheese and corn bread are to die for. Price point per customer is a bit pricey and portions are small but you will not be disappointed. Our waitress was exceptional. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Next trip, I'll try their array of drinks.

The food was actually pretty good. The server was a nice guy, still learning, but getting there. The wings had a good flavor overall. But, they should be smaller, with a few more included. The manager came over an introduced her self and made sure we enjoyed our visit; which was appreciated. And they really need bigger cups.

This place was alright. We visited on a Sunday nice Sunday afternoon and the establishment was very nice. It had a very open and modern sports bar feel to it. Service: Our server was friendly (can't remember her name). She maintained a good attitude even though they were busy and somewhat understaffed that day. Food: During our visit the menu was limited to a particular number of things. Sadly, we weren't able to order any BBQ, such as ribs while we were there. I must admit the flavor was a bit disappointing or maybe my standards were just too high. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and it just didn't give me that "WOW" factor. The bread was soft and the sandwich was good just not great. With a limited menu also came limited sides so I ended up with fries as a side. The fries were definitely very good and cooked just right. I almost forgot we ordered the buffalo chicken dip appetizer. The chips were more like pita chips and made a good sidekick for the dip. The dip wasn't really spicy and was also good but not great. However, all of the food was served fresh and hot. Overall, we didn't leave raving about how great of an experience we had. I don't see me making it a priority to make sure I visit again but I would visit again if I was in the area. If anything maybe I'll give them some time to get their menu in order before I return.

One word --- Yum. The place is small. Only about 7 tables total. The earlier you go the greater the likelihood of no wait. Later, wait could be 20 minutes or more. Wings, crispy chicken, ribs and burgers are tops!

I was pleasantly surprised. I googled this place and went on a limb. It was good. What would make it better is if the corn bread and nachos came out hot. The nachos and corn bread we practically room. The entrée did come out hot, thankfully. Lots of TVs not packed. Nice space sat quickly.

Very clean, comfortable restaurant. The lady who seated us was very accommodating and must take 25,000 steps every time she works. Never stops moving, always looking to help out. Our server was terrific, particularly with our grandchildren and food recommendations. Food was good. Two ‘either/or’ bathrooms, which makes sense. Restaurant is very clean & attractive. Nice place.

Prior to dining at smokehouse, I had heard about it from friends who had nothing short of good things to say about the restaurant. Atmosphere The atmosphere is a pretty casual one. With lots of displays constantly streaming sports games and trivia. The delectable smell of smoked wings and bbq is the first thing to greet you upon entering and carry you to your seat. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Table response time is relatively average. Food I ordered wings as a starter and a tomahawk burger for my main course. The food overall was a good 4/5. The pricing overall was a decent one as well. Spent about ~$75 for appetizers, two main courses and a bucket of beers. I recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.

Was looking for a true smokehouse and I thought I had found one but the menu was lacking more of a college hangout bar but not really much of the traditional smokehouse foods on the menu so decided to pass on eating here. I was kind of disappointed because I believe I'd been here years ago at the old location and was able to get traditional smokehouse meals and dinners. Most options were just a sandwich if that

We stopped in for lunch one day. They have the doors open when the weather permits, allowing you to get some fresh air and eat in/outside. I haven't eaten there in a while but my parents recently had dinner and said it was good. There is a parking lot from which you can now enter the restaurant. Though it's not clearly marked as being free, it appears to be, for now at least. That was convenient but there is some street parking. Perhaps it's what we ordered -an burger and brisket sandwich but we found the food was 'average' in taste. The service was slow as well, considering there were only 6 people dining at the time. The person serving us seemed preoccupied with their phone at the bar a few minutes, which in itself isn't a problem to me but she didn't see there was a customer waiting behind her at the bar to be served. It's tough to find good barbecue in the New Rochelle area, especially when what you are getting for the price has decreased in quantity. Overall, not in a rush to go back but would try a platter next time.

The food is consistently good but I’ve had such odd experiences with service. In the past it was always cordial never great. Today our hostess was extremely kind and I wish I got her name. But we were sat and we did not have anyone come to our table for about 15 minutes. It was a Friday night so it was understandable but my mom noticed that all of the people who were sat after us were being attended to by waiters who were extremely nice and chatty while we were still waiting for a while. I told the hostess our situation and she took our orders the whole night. Eventually our waitress came but she wasn’t happy that we involved the hostess. I get that things happen but I was with my much elderly mother who felt that we were ignored for racial reasons, and trust me she never ever pulls out the race card. But because of the passive aggressiveness from the waitstaff, our dinner was really awkward and my mom was very sad because of their attitudes. The food is good and this is probably an isolated incident but I don’t think I’ll be returning.

Waitress was great. The food was also great. The service was SLOW. I mean, it felt like we were waiting for them to grind the meat for our burgers and grow the rye for the whiskey. Didn't seem like it was too full, either. We know it wasn't the server's fault and still tipped regular, but they need to hire more people for that kitchen and bar, Pronto.

It’s a nice setup restaurant, you do feel warm and relaxed. I liked the seating arrangement. Food is good and cornbread is the best. They also have very tasty empanadas. Kids like the food too.

The brisket was dry as shoe leather. HOWEVER, the staff tried everything they could to try to make it right. But the simple fact is, the one thing a BBQ joint has to get right...is the BBQ. The beans and cornbread were on point. Thanks for trying but I can't recommend.

Great ambiance and service was good. Food was NOT warm and lacked seasoning. What "helped" the food was BBQ sauce. They only have one type of hot sauce which really wasn't hot sauce. The mac and cheese was extra cheesy but had a decent flavor. Cornbread was good but more of a corn cake texture. Even the water was not the right temp, no cold water just room temp. Drink was so-so. Nothing memorable. UPDATE: so the next day we had the leftovers for lunch and BOY were we surprised. The food tasted 10 times better WARM and COOKED for a few more mintues. I was amazed and was not expecting much. Even the Mac and cheese tasted much better overall. So a note to the cook/staff-- warm and cooked a bit longer made a big difference. Everyone was asking where I went in the lunchroom because it smelled so good!!

Small portions, check your checks because I was over charged and the waiter got upset with me for wanting it corrected. Very noisy, loud music and service is very slow. Drinks are $$$ and small. Chicken wings are the best. Taco was good, Brisket was just ok. We got one beer, one mix drink, app, sandwich and tacos =$110 not worth it.

Nice place, very clean and comfortable restaurant. The food was delicious, menu with wide variety of options, we loved everything that we tried. Talking about service, we went last Thursday around 6:30pm, 2 young girls were our servers and they didn’t even tried to be nice. We understood that the restaurant was busy but we felt totally uncomfortable, as if they didn’t want us there, which is a shame because we would love to come back for the food and atmosphere.

Everything was a hit and miss. We came as a party of 5 and had all ordered different items, but they were either very good and fresh or very lackluster and terrible. I suggest to anyone who comes here after 4:30 to get an item on the menu they have to/ are forced to prepare on the spot, because my brisket was dry, the pork and beans were cold and too sweet, the chicken was dry and flavorless and not crispy. Three of us suspected they keep stuff on the hot plate because it was obvious the food wasn’t fresh. My other friend got a standard burger which looked fresh and delicious, and another got a chicken sandwich that he also liked. The cornbread and the Mac n cheese were delicious! Service wise, the host at the desk was wonderful, but the servers took forever to take our order and than took forever to come with the bill. We were raising our hands like school kids, making eye contact and it was just not great. Over all, it is a hit and miss on every aspect. I don’t think we’ll be coming back. For the price you really deserve better quality food.

Food has gone way downhill since they moved to new location and takeout is very inconsistent. Too many kids/inexperienced people making the food. Dine in is usually way better for some reason if you can deal with the small TV's, but still not as good as old location across the street. Really miss the old crispy wings and burgers. Guess the only focus is beer/cocktails now.

I read in westchester mag that the Alabama sauce wings won an award and i couldnt wait to try them! Unfortunately they were super dry and i almost thought they forgot to add the sauce bc there was barely any. Not sure i would return. I was disappointed.

Brisket sandwhich with sweet potatoes and a side of brisket empanadas somehow add up to 38.64 . It would have been worth it if the portions matched the price but no, not even close . I guess this place was made with the idea of only being affordable to those that live directly on top of them and not to the commoners who may stumble across this place.

The place is way too empty to turn away people. Not worth the visit.

I got there with a party of 16. Before we even sat down I specifically asked for separate checks or checks in groups of 4. They said that was not a problem. Then the bill comes and everything is in one bill. When I confronted the host, she gave me the worst and most unnecessary attitude and refused to break the bill down. They literally made us all manually write down and figure out the check. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN! WE SURELY DIDN'T NOT SPEND THAT AMOUNT PF MONEY FOR THE HORRIBLE SERVICE AND RECKLESS ATTITUDES WE RECEIVED. I'D RATHER STAY HOME AND COOK .

Chicken wings and ribs were not seasoned and burnt. Egg rolls had no flavor. Loved the cornbread and the coleslaw

THE worst BBQ, if you can call it BBQ, I've ever encountered and I've eaten BBQ everywhere. This joint is a college bar that honors the college meal plan. The ribs just aren't smoked- and if they were, it was for such a short time that they didn't have time to take on a smoky taste. As a trained cook, my best guess is they've been made in an oven (a day or two earlier because they had a little bit of a leftover pork taste) and slathered with barbecue sauce. The chicken looks smoked but it just doesn't taste smoked. It's pretty bad when the pork and beans are the highlight of your meal. If you're serious barbecue people, this ain't for you.
