Ugh, I love this place so much. It's beautiful inside, great views, service is always on point, and the food/cocktails are SO GOOD. I've tried: - Roasted Garlic Babka (MUST order!!) - Yellowtail Crudo (I still think of this months later from time to time) - Cappelletti Bistecca (w/ the cacio e pepe raviolo for sure!) - Short Rib Pappardelle (very good) - Il Divorzio Half & Half (fantastic) - Whole Roasted 2lb Lobster & Calabrian Pasta (surprisingly not my favorite thing on the menu, I would skip) - Strawberry Sbagliato (lovely) - Lemon Cheesecake - Black Truffle Honey Ricotta

Waited almost three years (Feb 2023 they opened)! for the hype to die down to try Bad Roman! What a fantastic dinner!! Already discussing when to go back. Place was absolutely packed. Vibe was awesome. Front desk team was moving people in and out efficiently and were very sweet. Server: Angel. (Andjelko) He must get kudos for a job well done. He steered us in the right direction, answered all of our questions and loved loved our meal! Started with the Babka and the Arugula/pear salad. Both hearty and really good. Salad is shareable. Entrees were the short rib pappardelle and the chicken rigatoni. Both were served piping hot and the flavors were out of this world! Dessert? YES! Angel said the lemon cheesecake was worth the hype and I can confirm it absolutely is worth it. Cheesecake dipped in white chocolate and sprayed yellow on a bed of graham cracker crumble?! Oh my…!!!! Will add lastly that Angel directed my husband to try the winter special cocktail which was their version of an Old Fashioned and it was fabulous!!! Thank you Bad Roman for a wonderful evening and to our amazing server Angel (Andjelko)!!!

The third-floor setting at Columbus Circle feels stylish, lively, and distinctly New York, making it perfect for a special night out or a celebratory dinner. The food was exceptional across the board. The Eggplant Pull-a-Parm is a must-order crispy, cheesy, indulgent, and ideal for sharing, with rich flavors that immediately set the tone for the meal. The Filet Cacio e Pepe was a highlight, featuring a beautifully cooked filet paired with a luxurious, pepper-forward sauce that transforms the classic dish into something memorable and refined. Dessert sealed the experience with the Lemon Cheesecake, which was bright, balanced, and not overly sweet an excellent, refreshing finish after a rich main course. Service truly elevated the entire evening. Our waiter was impeccable throughout our time there attentive without hovering, professional, and genuinely warm. Courses were perfectly paced, recommendations were spot-on, and every detail was handled smoothly. The service felt polished and effortless, making us feel taken care of while still relaxed. Overall, Bad Roman fully lives up to the hype. Exceptional food, a vibrant atmosphere, and impeccable service make this an easy five-star experience and a place well worth returning to.

We had the most amazing Christmas Eve dinner at Bad Roman. The food was amazing and our waiters, Namik and Angel, could not have taken better care of us. Namik had the perfect recommendations for our appetizers and main course - our favorites being the babka, meatballs, eggplant parm, and the fillet with ravioli. Namik’s shift ended before we could order dessert but Angel, true to his name, blessed us with some of the best espresso martinis in New York and it’s hard to rank our favorite desserts amongst the lemon cheesecake, ice cream cake tiramisu, and the flourless chocolate cake with olive oil gelato. Truly was a night to remember and we’ll definitely be coming back.

Bad Roman is one of my favorite restaurants in Midtown and never disappoints. Went for a busy Monday lunch and sat at the bar, where Petro provided exceptional service,friendly, attentive, and welcoming. We started with the babka, followed by the shrimp pasta with Calabrian chili (my favorite dish on the menu) and the incredible spicy Caesar. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family. Consistently excellent food and service.

What an incredible experience. We went for a pre show lunch to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we told the host our name, they made it a special occasion wishing us a happy anniversary. At the table it continued with our wonderful waitress Tijana! She was incredible, not only with the service but truly making our day special by offering a few items on the house as a surprise. All the food was incredible, especially the desserts. We both can't stop talking about how an incredible experience it truly was. Thank you again to all the staff at Bad Roman, and especially Tijana!

My wife and my Intentions was to go to the center Bar which is located in Columbus circle mall but there was a private party . So we decided to go to bad Roman located one floor below. We both have been here before and enjoyed the experience. We walked in and it's full of people with a lively atmosphere. We told the front desk we were willing to sit at the bar. And what a great decision we made ! We had the pleasure of meeting Petros the bartender. He was wonderful ! We ordered drinks my wife had the ciao,mama and I the three logical beer from Brooklyn. Our food orders were the bakka and the cesars salad and we were encouraged to try the filet mignon meatballs and we were glad we did it was delicious. We also had the short rib pasta yum ! And to top it off we enjoyed the blood orange sorbet and the canoly delectable. Our experience has been great so far but Petros made our night right before we were heading to the Metropolitan opera house. As much as we enjoyed the food and ambiance we enjoyed Petros more! We will be returning soon . The dessert was so good we took it to go ! We found out that bad Roman owns Smith and wollensky steak house so those delicious meatballs was pure filet mignon!

Delicious and great vibes! Some of the seats have a nice view of Central Park. Terrific hostess and table service. Everyone was super friendly. Although not noted on the menu, you can customize almost all of the pasta to be gluten free, cooked in separate kitchen equipment!!

Dinner tonight was at Bad Roman inside the Time Warner Center, a modern Italian restaurant that feels like equal parts theatre and supper club. The meal started with their famous garlic babka, rich and buttery, followed by a yellowtail ceviche that was bright, citrusy, and impossibly fresh. For the mains we shared the lobster toast with a smoky tomato butter and a plate of shrimp Calabritta pasta both dishes full of bold, confident flavors that stayed with you long after the plates were cleared.

So hard to choose a place in the city with so many options- but this one was a winner! For starters we tried the Cesar Salad, the sirloin meatballs, the garlic babka, their signature Roni cups and the shrimp cocktail. All were yummy but the prawns were the star with the best cocktail sauce I've ever tasted! The Roni cups were worth skipping. For our main dish we chose the short rib pappardelle and the veal Milanese. Both were delectable with fresh ingredients. The Brussels sprouts were browned to perfection with a glaze. For desert we tried the blood orange sorbet, the tiramisu ice cream cake, the chocolate tart with gelato and the lemon cheesecake. All were good. I'd skip the chocolate tart with gelato next time. We highly recommend the blood orange sorbet and lemon cheesecake(for presentation). Service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was warm, cozy and fun! Highly recommend!

The ambiance was cool and the waitress was friendly. We met up with some international friends, and the drinks were solid. We tried the lobster mac—good, but I’ve definitely had better. The lemon cheesecake dessert was really cute and a nice finishing touch.

Came for the viral cacio y pepe ravioli topped steak. The ravioli itsself was phenomenal. The fillet was cooked perfectly yet still tough and lacking flavor. The cacio y pepe pasta dish was far overpriced and one of the least appealing versions ive tasted. It was virtually pasta with butter topped with parmesean. One of the managers seemed to be trying harder to look the part rather than participate in delivering a good front of house experience. Other staff and the female manager were great. And the apps were enjoyable. Had a nice time but wouldnt care to go back

**** Please read caution below*** We began our meal by ordering the Garlic Babka—so good we ordered a second! I had the short rib pappardelle, which was flavorful with tender meat and a rich, delicious sauce. My husband ordered the filet mignon with the cacio e pepe ravioli. While the ravioli was excellent—rich and perfectly cooked—the steak itself wasn’t as tender as expected and was slightly overcooked for his medium-rare request. For dessert, we shared the lemon cheesecake. The presentation was creative and fun, and the flavor didn’t disappoint—light, tangy, and satisfying for two to share. ************* Beware ********** One strange moment during our meal: a manager stopped by our table to chat, then said, “Let me bring you something.” He returned with filet mignon meatballs, which were indeed tasty. However, we were surprised to find they’d been added to our bill. Since we hadn’t ordered them ourselves, we assumed they were a complimentary gesture. Being charged for them left us feeling misled, which put a damper on an otherwise enjoyable dinner. Follow up, we flew home and sent an email and we still haven’t received a response. This is very unprofessional. There are other Italian restaurants to dine at that don’t serve unordered food and charge you for it.

We went last night to Bad Roman due to the hype this place has. I am going to be as fair as possible, and honestly, everything that I am going to write is for them to improve, because the restaurant has immensely potential. Let’s start from the very beginning. We approached the host podium asking if there was a table available for two (we did not have reservation) although we understand that people generally need a reservation to have a better experience (specially in New York) we believe that the hostess could have been more welcoming. When we asked her about options she simply said “no tables” but you can seat at the bar, she showed us the way without even walking us. We decided to accept and seat there even though all the tables in the bar area were dirty with dead glassware and crumbs. We were confused about how the service was going to be so we asked her one more time if someone will take care of us or we were responsible for going to the bar and place our own order; she said someone will be there. The server/bartender comes, offered us water but once again, we did not feel welcomed… we felt that it was annoying to him to have people sat there while he was behind the bar, which I understand, I personally believe that that section should have its own server to ensure a great experience, but we could see that no one care about that section, no one reset them, the hostess kept seating people on dirty tables, the floor of the bar area was full of paper napkins, it was just a mess that section. We ordered cocktails, we had some questions and our server was very knowledgeable, he put us in the right direction, and we really appreciated that. The cocktails were really good, refreshing, perfect balance between the mezcal and limoncello. We started with the Cesar salad which we highly recommend, the dressing was just exquisite and the anchovies present in the dressing did not feel too much. It was a little spicy which makes the salad super dynamic and I loved the ciabatta crumbs which made it extra crunchy. We also ordered the Salmon crudo which was okay… nothing super exiting, it comes with slices of spicy peppers which combined can enhance the dish. Then for our second course we had the shrimp chitarra pasta and the cappelletti with Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts is a MUST to have, wow, roasted to perfection, crispy, sweet and a little spicy, simply yummy. Both pastas were phenomenal, the shrimp chitarra was an explosion of flavors with that touch of spiciness that we love. The cappelletti did not disappoint, the balsamic on top gives it a touch of sweetness that truly pairs exquisitely with the pasta. For our entre we order the pork chop which was simply cooked phenomenal, it was tender, juicy, with butter on top to enhance the texture and give it an even more irresistible flavor. Towards our journey I have to say that our server improved, he was more attentive, offered to change our plates, and he was more attentive to us. When it was time for him to leave, he introduced his coworker and I have to say that I personally want to congratulate him (is the one who wears glasses) I could easily tell that he has a lot of experience, he interacted with us in a very organic, authentic, and sympathetic way, offered amazing recommendations for dessert and gave us two little drinks (I think the drinks were made of Prosecco and strawberry) they were so tasty. We followed his recommendation and we ordered the chocolate cake and WOW! What a delicious dessert, it was smooth, the combination between the cake, the ice cream and the touch of olive oil is a party you don’t want to miss. My only criticism with the dessert is the presentation, honestly the cake was served poorly… it was not inviting visually, the cake is PHENOMENAL and the presentation does not say that, the way is served says DELI CAKE, and that’s something that you definitely want to fix. In conclusion, we had a good time but I feel that we had it because we decided to ignore all this things that could have sent us off, but we were close to find another place.

Well I waited for the restaurant to stabilize after all the reviews about the service. Not sure what all the hype is about here, the food and service were pretty unremarkable. This is definitely not a place I would return to. We tried the fried calamari, spicy caesar, pear and arugula salad, white traffic cavatelli, and tiramisu ice cream cake. The dessert was probably worth the visit but everything else was just ok. Also, it was difficult to find our server. Cocktails: The pepperoncini martini was not bad but Bad Ombré was way too sweet.

Worst food of my life. Had the truffle pasta, cauliflower, and kale pasta. Couldn’t have more than one bite of each dish. I didn’t even want to give the leftovers to a homeless person because that would’ve been wrong, ethically. Save your time, money, and taste buds. The service was very friendly and accommodating, considering that it was a pretentious New York City establishment!

We ordered the meatballs and the babka. Very mediocre experience. We never received our babka, quite upsetting. Meatballs were incredible. The overall vibe was off. So much drama with the waitstaff and they were making it very apparent to customers. They should handle their drama in the kitchen or in space where I can’t hear about it. Wish it was better.
