Come early because a lot of things sell out. Get the anchovies tea salad, the curries, the coconut cream noodle.

Everything was great! Went on a Saturday for lunch with 6 people and we were the only ones in their up until the last 10 minutes when two people came in to eat. The staff are super nice, maybe because one of our friends was Burmese? But maybe they are still super nice? First time trying Burmese food, it was very good! Some of the apps had some unique and interesting flavor profiles that combatted each other but in a good way. Definitely better to split something since it is a little pricey.

Went for a show: Dr. Boat and Cinema Stereo. Had a great time, the atmosphere in the hall is perfect to see up and coming rock bands. Good beer selection and the staff was friendly and efficient. I don’t think there is food, but I could be wrong.

Great location on the lower east side! I came here to see Fire Tiger play with Turbo Goth. Really nice venue and friendly staff. My boyfriend said it was the best cosmo martini he’s ever had!

This place is a pot of culture and it’s a vibe. If you’re visiting from anywhere in the world and would like to check out the local party and music scene, come here, this is a great taste of the city. Place sounds really nice and usually curates really good local talent. Drinks are good and fairly priced and the overall bohemian underground vibe fits very nicely

Our first time trying Myanmar food and we're impressed. We found this restaurant on Michelin's list and wanted to give it a try. Just give everyone a heads-up that they don't take cards. Only cash or you can zelle/venmo them. The place is quite small, it fits 2 big tables and 2 small tables. It's seems like a family business, so please don't expect professional customer service here. They're slow but friendly, I think they try their best. Diving into the food. The tea salad was on point, this is my first time trying it, and I was in love. The seasoning is balance, and the textures of all the ingredients make this salad so special. Then my husband ordered one of their soup (they added vermicelli in the soup, and in Myanmar they eat it for breakfast), and I ordered my stir-fried noodles. I prefer mine better. My dish has a familiar taste with all the Asian dishes I've tried, that's why I like it. The price was not expensive and we were satisfied with the dishes.

It has been a while since our first try of Burmese cuisine in SF. We had high expectations before our visit to Little Myanmar. We tried 7 dishes, the portion was great with reasonable price. The flavor was overall not our type and a little different from our memories. Our favorite dish today was the Yellow Noodle Salad, the sauce was rich but not greasy at all. I personally like this pancake. The filling was flavorful with crispy layer but our friends thought it tasted a little abnormal sour . We might not visit it again but recommend it to people who would like to try something new.

Their food is excellent and inexpensive (compared to other NYC restaurants). We ordered Shan Noodle and Burmese Pancake - both were delicious! Would love to try their other dishes in future! Location is also very good. However, you have to pay in cash and they do not accept cards or any other forms of payment. Although they have put a sign board indicating they only accept cash, we only noticed the board after ordering our food. There is a ATM nearby but I felt it is very inconvenient in these days and age.

I rarely get to have Burmese food, but @littlemyanmar_nyc was very yummy I’d recommend to try them out! The group’s favorite was the yellow noodle salad. Very flavorful and we actually liked it more than the tea leaf salad which is the usual go-to at Burmese restaurants. The seatings are not that comfortable though, so I’d suggest doing takeouts instead of dine-in.

It’s fun - usually pretty packed, relatively easy to get into, and good music. They charge a ~$10 cover after ~midnight. My only gripe with this place is that the music is way too loud - I swear every time I’ve gone here I get hearing damage. They need to turn the speakers down. Like you can hear the music already, no need to blast ears out.

Good local bar with a decent drink selection - half a dozen beers on tap, and a stage for live music. Seating is around the edges, usually chairs or old cushioned booth benches. The shape of the spaces means one of the main seating area cannot see the stage. There are mirrors behind the bar, but unfortunately none we located to see the stage from the seating area. Good space for local events- talk to them - they will be happy to arrange.

My date and her friends suggested this place. There's an upstairs bar I'm told but my date and I went down stairs in the club area. It's Small (BUT) a lot of Fun if you're just looking for dancing and drinking. There is a good selection of beer and the D.J.s Music was a nice mix of current rap and pop music. My ONE complaint with the place was the bathroom's . There's two unisex bathrooms but only one person inside each at a time. So there's a line. Otherwise I spent about $60 for me and my date on admission and I think 6 or 7 beers🙂👍

One of the smallest live music venues I've been in but lovely nonetheless. The sound is pretty good. Should be when the sound booth is almost as big as the stage. There's an unfortunate column in front of the stage but there's still pretty good sight lines from the bar and the table seating on the right. The place holds more people than you'd think. Not dim, atmospheric. Makes everyone look great. The bartenders could handle the rush between sets. I just wish the pour was a bit heavier. But I can't really complain when a double Rum & Coke runs for 16 bucks. I just should have been feeling my third one. I went home way too sober. If the caliber of acts are as good as this visit, I'll definitely be back.

My band played here last weekend. The door man and person booking the show were great. The sound guy took great care of us also. The venue was small but really nice and we has a great time.

How can a restaurant not have a restroom open to customers?! The waiter told me to go to Marshall’s to use the restroom, which is like 5 mins walk away and I had to get down 2 floors below - so inconvenient and customer-unfriendly! This place is also cash only as well. The food was good but in small portions that we still felt hungry after finishing each of our entrees plus an appetizer. We also highly doubt that the rice was frozen before or not fresh and was reheated in microwave because it came in lumps and didn’t taste freshly cooked that day. Almost no service at all. The waiter and waitress were mostly behind the curtain and has not come to us and ask us anything about the food, the water was also self-served through a big bottle. Not a good experience, wouldn’t come again. The no bathroom aspect was the most unacceptable part!

A cozy, hole-in-the-wall type place with all halal options and good service. I tried the beef curry which was alright. I was expecting a bit more flavour wise, but to be fair it was my first time trying Burmese food. I also tried a corn skewer and a chicken skewer, which I liked the most of the things I tried. They were seasoned well and the meat was pretty tender, as compared to the beef curry.

Ahhh Berlin, where do I begin? So we decided to try it out on Friday and Sunday nights. Friday night was crowded and gave huge club feels but it was only basically a just very crowded basement bar. The door list seemed a little unnecessary. The people were what you would expect from a place with a “list”, people thinking they are in Dumbo house but couldn’t afford Dumbo house. The music was great my martini was great, it’s the kind of place you wanna love but the energy was off. The manager came off dismissive and pompous which really took away from the atmosphere, hospitality matters. Sunday night was actually surprisingly not empty but still not great, the same air of arrogance that should never be in the LES was lingering. Ehh I could take it or leave it. We will be stopping by again in a few months for a follow up and video will be posted via TikTok and Insta

I really liked the vibe of this place but please be aware of the bartenders. When handed the payment device to tap my card, the bartender automatically selected a 25% tip. I went to change it and he snatched the device back from me. Upon looking at my bank statement, I see that he went back to change the tip. Not a big deal, just a very unprofessional thing to do. There are better bars out there with more respectable service.

Recently discovered this spot which I thought was a gem and shared with others . However, after returning for the second time I decided to try their noodles and chicken and quickly found out it was a terrible mistake. The food was so oily , noodles extremely overcooked , chicken tasted nothing like chicken and completely tasteless! After a day of fasting I was so hungry I think even food with not that much flavor would be appreciated but I took two bites and couldn’t have more. I think what was most disappointing was the way the staff responded to my reaction of not having properly cooked food. There was no apology or any moderation offered whatsoever. My excitement for finding this spot was short lived and unfortunate since supporting small businesses is essential.

August 31st, 2025 This was perhaps our seventh or eighth visit, and sadly, it was the first time we left disheartened. From the outset, there was a shift in atmosphere—most notably a new and rather puzzling policy that barred us from using the restroom, something we had always relied upon in past visits. The food, which has always been this establishment’s saving grace, fared no better. The goat curry—once the crown jewel of the menu—arrived drowning in oil, its once-balanced richness reduced to a greasy broth with tough cuts of meat. It took three requests before a proper serving of curry emerged, and even then, the anticipation of savoring a longtime favorite turned into disappointment. The chicken thali, another staple, was equally uninspiring: the chicken unexpectedly sweet and unyielding, the accompaniments stripped of the depth and nuance that once defined them. The service too fell short. We found ourselves repeating requests multiple times before being understood—an avoidable lapse that reflects not only inattentiveness but also a lack of basic common sense in guest service. For a restaurant once marked by warmth and efficiency, this decline was as noticeable as the dip in food quality. Not all was lost. The Yangon tea and fish cake skewers still carried a touch of the charm that first won us over. They remain bright spots amid an otherwise lackluster spread. We sincerely hope this decline is the result of a transitional phase or a new chef still finding footing. This restaurant has been a place we’ve cherished, and we would like nothing more than to see it flourish again. But flourish it will only if the kitchen and service return to form—because the food, after all, is its only true USP.

What should have been a safe and joyful birthday celebration at Berlin Under NYC became one of the most frightening and dangerous nights of my life. After only one drink at the bar, I became violently ill, blacked out, and was found unconscious in the bathroom with the door unlocked, covered in vomit. I have no memory beyond that first drink. My friends told me that management gave me water and a quiet place to recover, but I was unable to walk or talk and ultimately had to be carried out of the venue. About an hour later, my co-host also became suddenly and unusually sick — disoriented, vomiting, and experiencing a complete memory blackout. My doctor later confirmed that my symptoms strongly suggested I was drugged with rohypnol (roofied). Given this, I filed a police report with the NYPD Special Victims Unit to ensure I had not been sexually assaulted. While my co-host and I were incapacitated and leaving the venue, Berlin staff unilaterally decided to close our bar tab nearly two hours early, stopped issuing wristbands, and failed to track guest spending toward our $2,500 minimum — despite a signed contract guaranteeing service until 3:00 AM. The contract contained no clause explaining what would happen if the hosts had to leave for a medical emergency. Dozens of guests who stayed and continued ordering were ignored, new guests who arrived throughout the night were not counted, and people who weren’t invited were even allowed into the reserved area. Yet my card was still charged the full $2,000 minimum in clear violation of the agreement. I cannot help but feel that someone affiliated with the venue may have been responsible for drugging us, given that we were the only two to experience these symptoms and I was surrounded only by close friends upon arrival. When I confronted management, their only “solution” was to offer that the hosts return with a couple of friends for free drinks — while refusing to review the itemized receipts from our highest-spending guests, which showed totals greater than what Berlin reported. Security footage was only released after I filed a Special Victims report. For months since, I have repeatedly reached out to resolve this fairly, but I have been met with silence. As a young woman, I feel severely taken advantage of. My health, safety, and finances were all compromised, and management not only failed to take responsibility but actively dismissed, deflected, and ignored the truth. Berlin has failed to handle this in a fair or ethical way. I am deeply traumatized by what happened, and the silence I have experienced has made it clear that Berlin only cares about money, not the safety or well-being of its customers. Until this venue takes accountability and refunds my card, I strongly caution everyone — especially women — to stay away.
