Went there for an office party and had an excellent time. Barn setup with ambience was welcoming. Great service. Food we tried all came out good. Outside seating was also available. Definitely a good high end place to dine if you are around Park / Madison Ave.

I attended a work luncheon in Blackbarn’s upstairs private room. I believe it’s called the loft. The food was fantastic, the service was great, and I can’t wait to go back and eat from the full menu. We had several dishes, but I didn’t get pics. They were all excellent. Starters: - Grilled Corn & Kale Salad - Tuna Tartare - Black Mission Fig Pizza Mains: - Zucchini & Basil Risotto - Grilled Branzino Filet - Chicken Saltimbocca Dessert: - Apple Cider Doughnuts - Citrus Cheesecake - Chocolate Mousse Cake One thing, but it may be just me, I’m always cold these day, and I was perfect wearing a wool blazer, so you may want to bring a layer if you get cold in the AC. 5 Stars – Best Meal We Had in NYC! Blackbarn was hands-down the best dining experience we had while visiting New York. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone—warm, stylish, and inviting. We ordered the family-style special, and every single dish was incredible. You can tell the ingredients are top-notch and prepared with care. The service was just as impressive—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a place that nails food, vibe, and hospitality, Blackbarn is it. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in the city!

Really amazing farm to table restaurant on the north side of Madison Square Park. Was here last Thursday for a farewell dinner for an employee in a private room on the 2nd floor. The food took a bit of time to come out but it was excellent. The short ribs were very tender. It was a bit loud though. Also like the apple cider doughnuts for dessert and the ice cream sandwiches. It really felt like eating in a barn. Really liked the farming tools hanging on the wall. The bread was good as well

Truly amazing! Came here for a team dinner with roughly 21 of us (thank you for having such a fun space!). Family style menu was so delicious and I would definitely be back. The octopus was my favorite. The butternut squash ravioli was sweeter than I expected but made for a good palette cleanser with the richness of the other items. And the desserts were not too heavy or overly sweet.

The best burger 🍔 around as well as the pancakes 🥞 ❗️❗️ Dropped in for a late lunch and enjoyed the BlackBarn Burger and Buttermilk Pancakes... both were sooo good. Mouth watering burger with crispy bacon with the perfect stretch of cheese in every bite! The pancakes being warm and fluffy with a berry whipped cream on top.. out of this world! Enjoyed some local brews to pair with the delicious meal. Jorge, our server couldn't be nicer! The food, atmosphere and service were way above my expectation!

We recently went for brunch to celebrate my husband's birthday at this cozy gem of a restaurant. The atmosphere is intimate and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a special occasion. The food is not only delicious but also served beautifully and thoughtfully. The service is both friendly and professional, making you feel truly welcomed. Although it was our first visit, we are already planning our next one. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!

We ate here on a whim and were so glad we did! We must have hit it at the perfect time as there was only a few other families there. It made for a peaceful and enjoyable dinner after braving the NYC crowds at Christmas time! Service was excellent and food was amazing!

Great food, especially steak was perfectly done. A lot of appetizers have cheese, which is not quite my thing, but all my friends loved it. Shrimp pasta is delicious, fresh, and the portion is generous. Cocktails are also great. Service is a little bit slow. There was only one waiter on a Saturday evening, which was a bit odd. Other than that everything was perfect.

Nice ambiance, but felt more curated for larger groups. Maybe we were sat in the wrong area. Nice wine lists, gnocchi was fantastic, steak was cooked well with nice flavor, but the chicken was very bad and too crispy for my liking. It’s a good place to bring your parents or colleagues, but not so sure on date night.

The place is huge and has a modern feel. We were here for brunch on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. The short rib hash and egg was outstanding, though I thought the potato could have been crispier. The fresh juice was just ok. The service was great, very attentive.

Everything we tried was delicious—our favorites were the loaded potatoes, shishito peppers, and short rib eggs. Giving it 4 stars only because the apple cider donuts didn’t taste fresh and the Milanese sandwich could’ve used a bit more seasoning. Still, the overall vibe and food were great—would definitely come again!

I'm a sucker for rustic chic/farmhouse decor, so Blackbarn has been on my radar for a while just on the basis of potential eye porn. And while it did not disappoint visually, gastronomically, the carpet didn't match the drapes. Our best bite was the Big-Eye Tuna Tartare, which tasted fresh and refreshing. The Grilled Branzino for Two was a laughably small slab of fish for a whopping $85--if this entree fed two, I can only imagine they meant two mice. And of the listed accompaniments from the menu, it only came with a few sad stumps of potato and a tiny dish of olives; I suppose they could've fed half a third mouse. Side-wise, the Truffle Ricotta Gnocchi was overly rich to the point of being nauseating. The Crispy Layered Potatoes were well done, though too greasy. And...that was that. I will say, I enjoyed my Sunset mocktail, which was a fruity concoction of pineapple, lemon, grenadine, ginger, and egg white. Mmmm, country cocktail. In short, great for hosting your farmer cousin's next rehearsal dinner, not so great for affordable farm-to-table eats.

The premises are lovely. Huge space with a great ambiance. Service? Also great. Courteous, professional and most importantly, efficient. My food however, was at best, mediocre. I ordered the grilled trout from their lunch menu which was underwhelming. My dish was served room temperature and the flavors were nothing especial. Then our server recommended we try the cider donuts for dessert and they were ok. Tasted more like churros than apple cider donuts. Thankfully it was a work lunch and I didn’t have to spend my hard earned money on this place. Don’t plan on going back.
