Tip: The boxes with fries are huge and flavorful. The Chicken is preferred over the Beef because the beef had some big shavings.

Opinions de Döner Haus New York
Carlina was the best in that she really helped me navigate the menu as a first time visitor. The food was incredible I highly recommend the wrap and the salad rice combo. The white sauce cannot be missed. This place is so great because it’s open for pretty late with great music playing too.
Very solid Doner spot, also tried their baklava very decent. Service was amazing from Samantha she was lovely.
So much chicken and beef! For the doner box, always get the sauce on the side. So yummy!
If you haven’t tried this place, you’re missing out. The doners are delicious and so are the fries. Carlina was very helpful, put my order together asap. She was very friendly and attentive. I’ll be back soon.
Hands down one of the best food experiences I’ve had. The döner was SLAPPING good. fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Reminds me when I was doing my euro travels. Shoutout to Carlina at the counter, her hospitality and energy made the whole experience even better. She truly went above and beyond. Definitely coming back! -Saif -Hamza
We had an amazing experience at Donor Haus! The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. The service was outstanding — Matthew took care of us and was extremely kind, attentive, and professional. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend this place!
The great halal food in the area, I taste once and it’s now my routine, 3-4 times per week. I’ve always met nice guys for service, especially Sam. Thanks! My preference is Döner Sandwich 🥪 w/ light sauce & light salad 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Great food and great value! The boxes with fries are huge and flavorful. We liked the Chicken a bit more than the Beef just because the beef had some big shavings. The chicken was easier to eat. The staff was also super nice. I only wish we had ordered less and shared, which would have been an even better value. All of us were really hungry and couldn't eat any more and still had a whole box leftover.
Food was delicious. Tried almost all of their menu and man are they good! The fries are seasoned beautifully and paired with the red hot sauce was great! Only thing I found that I didn’t like was that either the white sauce or beef was seasoned with too much salt, and that they don’t really have a place to dine in. Great food and great portions for prices! Coming here again…
We were starving while exploring New York when suddenly this place caught our attention 🤩 The storefront is super eye-catching (and yes… the logo totally gave us a little laugh because it reminded us of that famous website 👀😂). Ordering was a breeze 🙌 You simply do it through a screen, pay right there, and voilà no stress, super fast and easy! ⏱️💳 Now the food… WOW 🤯 Absolutely finger-licking good 🤤🔥 Everything was packed with care, very clean and professional, which made it even better. And I have to say the girl who handed us the bags had such a beautiful smile 😊✨ It made the whole experience feel warm and positive, right until the very last moment. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in NYC and craving something delicious, fast, and full of good vibes 💛🥙🇩🇪
So so so delicious! We got the mixed lamb and chicken, and it was amazing, though I would choose just one of the meats next time as it was a bit heavy for me. The fries were very crispy and good. I loved the sauces in the doner. This may be one of the best doners I’ve tasted in NY. Hard to get a seat though since they only had a few tables outside.
Atmosphere doesn't really exist much since it is takeout only, but man this place honks 🔥 The food is incredible, you get SO much bang for your buck, and the staff are super friendly, funny, and efficient. If you've never had döner, prepare to get blown away. If you have, prepare yourself for some great comfort food. 10/10
tried this spot in new york since we were craving a german kebab. this spot did not disappoint. quick service and accessible location but most importantly delicious food. i ordered the mixed meat wrap and it was heavenly. packed with lots of flavor and veggies i was full off of 1/2 and ate the other 1/2 for lunch the next day. ambience is alright, trendy for a quick service grab and go. the logo is a bit corny/tacky to my liking. would recommend for a quick delicious meal! also ordered the baklava and it was a bit too firm and dry for my liking, but good nonetheless.
the logo of Döner Haus place seems to be a hat tip to a famous porn site bc the logo is like a parallel of it--weird flex but whatever. but hey it whatever it takes to get people to stop consuming pornography and start consuming food. before you rush to judgement of anyone for knowing the connecting re: the logo...it's not a galaxy-brained mystery if you are extremely online you know this and a metric ton of digital information that absolutely useless for anything but memes and gifs. anyway, the döner comes way of Turkish immigrant cuisine out of Germany...it's basically sliced halal seasoned chicken or halal beef cooked on a vertical rotisserie, add a layers of fresh veggies, herbs, and a white sauce and sandwich that in a pocket bread or wrap...and there you have the basics of a döner. i may be missing some key details but you get the gist of it. ordered here back in March of this year and forgot to review...not that my order was unmemorable, but it wasn't memorable either...it was a solidly good sandwich for dinner on a cold night. after ordering i regretted not ordering the French fries, but after getting my order i didn't regret it bc my döner was fairly hefty. it was a mix of meats (rotisserie sliced chicken and beef), layers of fresh veggies like lettuce, pickled red cabbage, red onions, sliced tomatoes, & a yogurty-herbed white sauce all wrapped up in a thin flour wrap. while being a fairly big stuffed sandwich, it felt like a fairly healthy meal bc the primary calories are from the chicken and beef which are lean cuts of fairly moist meats. overall, it makes for a filling sandwich when you want something filling but don't want a calorie bomb. ordered via app for pickup. the wait for the sandwich felt long but at least you know it's bc it's made to order and not prepackaged or something. there wasn't much of a line when i got there, but it built up as i waited. this place is obviously on all the major food ordering apps, but you can order in person. there's no seating bc this place is just an order window and a kitchen. service is pretty basic as soon as your order is up...they call your name...not much personality. glad i ate here bc i never had this type of Turkish food before and would try it again. like most food memories, they fade until they return...hence this review.
I’ll start with what I liked. 1. The Original Chicken Doner was pretty good. The chicken was very well seasoned and flavorful. 2. The bread was very nice as well and had a slight crunch to it. 3. I don’t really eat potatoes but I tried the fries. It was Ok Not so good 1. There was some beef mixed in and I don’t eat beef. Probably a mistake. 2. There were parts of the sandwich with just bread, although the triangular shape allows for every corner to hold food. 3. Wasn’t as big as I thought, but it was filling. Overall, I liked it enough to return and try the box or sandwich again without the fries.
So I wasn't going to write this until the owner responded, which i do appreciate them looking into this! My first order was cancelled, yes but my second one went through and it did get delivered. The quality has drastically gone down since I last ate there several months ago. Bread was stale and mushy from the excess grease. There was coagulated grease on the wrapper thick as butter. And the meat tasted old. My friend and I used to order from there often but this was the first time we got a stomach ache lasting several days afterwards. I really hope this place can get it back together cause it used to be amazing!
I just got a mix wrap today and told them not to add any salad. The girl said I have to choose one so I added onions and asked her to give sause on the side The bone dry wrap was loaded with 50% onions and there was no sause! Not inside the sandwich and not on the side! Very disappointed!!
We usually love Doner Haus. Great sandwiches with great flavor. Today, after picking up my order and opening it up at home to enjoy my sandwich in privacy I took a bite to find something I could not chew. It was a burnt piece of PLASTIC INSIDE my sandwich. I called doner haus and an automated machine answered instead. I tried to complain on their website but they have not replied and you cannot upload photos on to their website. I’m posting this on everywhere I can review because this is unacceptable!!! The least doner haus can do is issue a public apology and a refund. Do not eat from this place unless you want to die from a serious choking hazard! I can only imagine the deplorable kitchen conditions if this huge piece of plastic made it into the sandwich.
