The Adeni Shai is amazing! I’ll definitely go back there again for it. The service is also great and the cafe is cute.

The pastries are delightful, with the honeycomb being my absolute favorite. The warmth of the people creates a friendly atmosphere, embodying the essence of Middle Eastern hospitality. It’s an ideal spot to relax and tackle my emails. Don't miss the chance to ask Ali or Naif for their Adeni tea; it’s an authentic experience.

Popped in here straight from the ferry after a long day in Brooklyn. I had the ashanti (?) coffee. Having never tried Yemeni anything, this was a really pleasant surprise. Refreshing and spicy. Perfect pick me up. Only downside is that we felt a bit underdressed as it's a very classy place - beautiful and elegant.

Amazing coffee shop. My favorite spot in NYC. Naif is very nice and I love this place.

We love this place, especially our toddler son. Spacious and crystal clean coffee house with authentic national and regular coffee and teas (and no “laptop key tappers” who seats for hours with one drink). Hoheycome dessert our favorite.

Beautiful coffee shop. Iman and her family are so warm and welcoming. A pleasure to have in the neighborhood.

S

Warm and inviting atmosphere! Friendly service! Delicious coffee and small plates! The place was packed but we managed to find a table! The Sana'ani Coffee in a Pot had the house secret spices and was served hot - just the way we like it. To satisify our sweet tooth we had the Sabaya which which was warm and crispy with honey on top. The Basbosa was crusty on top and soft and moist on the inside with just the right level of sweetness. A great place to hang out with friends and will definitely go back many times!

Wonderful experience. Place is really clean and atmosphere is very charming. Plenty of space with lots of seating. Coffee is some of the best coffee I’ve had. Honeycomb is made fresh from scratch and melts in your mouth, would highly recommend!

Qahwah Valley provides a selection of Arabic coffee along with some oriental delicacies. The establishment is quite well-lit, and the Arabic coffee is notably flavourful.

S

Literally the cutest cafe!! A friend hosted a painting event and it was the perfect atmosphere! 💛 they had a long table in the back that we were all able to use. They were able to accommodate a large group of us with Chai and Tres Leches cake (sooo goooood)! I also tried their Spinach & Cheese Borek - incredible! As well as their Iced Pistachio Latte - best latte I’ve ever had. They also have plenty of outlets and tables available for anyone who may want to get work done. The vibe is so cute and the cafe is so beautifully decorated. The staff is so considerate and helpful.

Love this place. The Mofawer was on point and the avocado toast was sooooo good. We also had the egg crossiant sandwich. We finished both. The ambiance was so welcoming. Can’t wait to go back.

Qahwah Valley is our second home. The people are very kind and will always take care of you! Make sure to get the adeni chai (it’s good hot or iced). They have lots of desserts to pick from as well. Plenty of seating inside and some outside.

Absolutely love this hidden gem of a Yemeni café! The cappuccino is rich and smooth, the matcha is perfectly refreshing, and the Sabaya dessert is next-level — especially with the stunning kettle presentation. Cozy vibes, outdoor seating, and everything packed to-go. Don’t miss the stuffed croissant! 🫶

We were glad to find a cafe open late at night. Their Mofawar coffee is really good. They also have a nice seating area, although the interior is a bit too bright for my taste.

My dad and I have been waiting for this coffee shop to open for over a month now. We had the chance to try it and if I can explain it in one word it would be exquisite. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We ordered the honey comb, chai adani, and Arabic coffee. So far, best in town. Definitely coming back!

Out of all the Yemeni coffee shops in New York right now, this has to be my favorite. Their Valley Latte (their take on Qahwah House’s Yemeni Latte) has just the right amount of spices and their multigrain baklava is delicious. Their seating is spacious and comfortable. They also have a decent number of outlets, with nice outdoor seating too.

Would highly recommend this place. Very easy access from the ferry coming into midtown area. Very good atmosphere for dining in, but also easy to take away. The pistachio latte is very creamy and has become one of my favorite coffees. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Do not leave without getting the pistachio baklava!

As I was doing one of those long, marathon worthy walks across the city I stumbled upon this Yemeni cafe. I must say it's very fancy looking and zen like inside. With plenty of seats and calming vibes all throughout. I suppose they are quasi famous (?) for their coffee but I wasn't interested in trying it and opted for a dessert item instead. I decided to go with Dubai Tres Leches. I have finally dabbled in the Dubai trend I suppose, without actually jumping on an annoying Dubai chocolate wagon. So basically the Dubai thing means sprinkling onto or stuffing into whatever crushed or crumbled pistachios, just as adding feta to anything pretty much makes it instantly Greek. So I tried a few spoon (fork?) bites of the Dubai Tres Leches and it was pretty good. The rest I finished at home the next day. It's certainly not something I would eat on the regular as it's quite action packed, if not heavy, even though ironically it might come off as light. Also, one of the layers, mid to almost bottom, contained what tasted kind of raisiny, which I'm not a big fan of. But all in all, this dessert piece was not bad.

Can’t believe I work only blocks away and I missed this spot. I’m now adding it to my top favorite cafes list. Stunning and luxurious interior with plenty of seating, amazing Yemeni coffee and tea, great pastries, friendly staff. The most perfect place for a coffee date.

What a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. We had been eagerly waiting for it to open since the day we saw the sign go up. Let's say it was totally worth the wait. It is a beautiful space and the staff is incredibly friendly. So far we have tried their coffee, Adeni Shai, Mini pizza, Tres leches and chocolate mousse cake. Every single thing has been delicious 5/5. I highly recommend the Tres Leches if you are confused by the amazing variety of desserts. I will be going through and trying more of the food and will update with more recommendations.

Qahwah Valley Yemeni Cafe is a hidden gem and a refreshing addition to the neighborhood. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a cozy, welcoming vibe, such amazing staff. It’s the perfect spot to grab a coffee and relax for a bit. The coffee here is next level. They offer authentic Yemeni blends and a wide variety of desserts, and you can immediately taste the difference. The flavors are bold yet smooth, with a depth you don’t get at most coffee shops. You can tell they’re serious about quality, sourcing beans directly from Yemen. They also have some great traditional Yemeni sweets that pair perfectly with their drinks. It’s not just coffee; it’s an experience. The staff is super friendly and happy to explain the menu if you’re not familiar with Yemeni coffee. They really make you feel at home and add to the overall charm of the place. If you’re tired of the same old coffee options, Qahwah Valley is a must-try. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of thought and care into everything, from the drinks to the decor. This is definitely going to be one of my regular spots. Highly recommend checking it out! 10/10!

I’m so excited for Qahwah Valley Cafe’s opening in Murray Hill Manhattan. I can’t begin to describe the beautiful esthetics of this place. As soon as you step in you feel as if you are in a cafe in Dubai 🤩🤩 ahhh soo amazing. Wait until you taste the coffee, lattes, pastries so mouth watering I can’t wait to go back with a book you won’t find better lighting for reading 📖

I saw they were doing the soft opening by chance and I’m so glad I did. They were very welcoming. I wasn’t sure what to order and they took time to explain the difference between the drinks they have. The mofawar coffee was amazing! I didn’t try their sweets, but I’ll do next time. It’s a great place to work because they have REAL COMFORTABLE chairs. I’ll definitely come back!

Ever wonder where to find the best Yemeni coffee in Manhattan? Look no further than Qahwah Valley Cafe! I visited with my sisters, and we were absolutely blown away. The caramel macchiato and pistachio latte? Pure perfection. The Khaliat Alnahl and Sabaya were so fresh and delicious; they’re a must try! The only downside was the Adeni tea it didn’t quite hit the spot for us. But everything else? Spot on. The staff is super friendly (special shoutout to Nayef!), the place is spotless, and the decor is such a vibe. I’m already planning my next visit for more coffee and maybe a better tea experience. Highly recommend! ((Decided to give the Adeni tea another shot at Qahwah Valley Cafe, and I’m so glad I did! This time, it was absolutely perfect. It completely changed my opinion! This spot continues to impress. Definitely a MUST VISIT!))

By far the best Yemeni coffee shop in the United States of America. As a Yemeni, I’m rarely impressed by Yemeni coffee shops, but Qahawa Valley changed that! Niaf the store manager is super hospitable and welcoming!! Food 10/10, service 10/10, atmosphere is 1000/10!! Highly recommended!

I traveled from Canada to visit Qahwah Valley in Manhattan, and it was absolutely worth the trip! The authentic Yemeni coffee here is unmatched, with deep, rich flavors that make every sip memorable. You can tell the team is passionate about bringing true Yemeni coffee culture to New York, and the welcoming atmosphere makes it even better. For anyone who loves unique and flavorful coffee, Qahwah Valley is a must-visit. Highly recommend for a taste of Yemen in the heart of Manhattan!

Nestled in the bustling heart of Midtown Manhattan, Qahwa Valley Cafe is a true hidden treasure that offers a transportive experience into the heart of Yemen coffee culture. From the moment you walk through the door, the aroma of fresh spices and roasted coffee beans sets the stage for what can only be described as an unforgettable visit. The star of the show here is the tea —rich, bold, and brewed with a level of care and expertise that instantly sets it apart from your typical city café. Whether you’re savoring a traditional qahwa spiced with cardamom or a more modern drink, the depth of flavor is truly remarkable. Their tea selection is thoughtful, with delicate blends that are both soothing and aromatic, served in traditional glassware that adds to the authenticity. But the real surprise lies in their pastries. From flaky, to soft, every item on the menu is handcrafted and incredibly fresh. Each bite captures the essence of Yemen hospitality and culinary heritage. Qahwa Valley Cafe is more than just a coffee stop—it’s a cultural experience. Warm service, inviting decor, and outstanding flavors make this place a must-visit destination for anyone in New York City.

This place is a hidden gem that truly reminds me of a stylish Dubai cafe. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a unique blend of elegance and comfort that makes you want to stay for hours. They offer a V60 and Spanish latte, which is a rare find here in the United States. The Spanish latte is creamy, slightly sweet, and absolutely delicious; it immediately took me back to the tastes of the Middle East. The food menu is just as delightful, with flavorful and beautifully presented dishes. I can't wait to come back and try more of their offerings. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable cafe experience.

I have been eagerly waiting for this place to open, and now that it has, I was blown away. First when you walk in, it feels like you’re in the Middle East, with a modern touch. The place feels upscale, and they have a self order machine also. The place is very well lit, with warm lighting. You could honestly spend so much time here. Now about their coffee and desserts, one word, amazing! I had their tres leaches and mousse cake. They both tasted rich and flavorful. I’m not a huge coffee guy, but when I tried their coffee, it was amazing. I highly recommend you to visit this new gem in the area.

Qahwah Valley is truly a gem. We hosted a family get-together here during my cousin’s wedding weekend, and I can’t even begin to describe how special the experience was. From the moment we walked in, Naif and his team made us feel so welcomed and taken care of — their hospitality is unmatched. The food was phenomenal (every single dish was perfection), the ambiance was beautiful, and the vibes were just immaculate. Naif went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we had the best possible time — and he truly did. Our night was unforgettable thanks to him and the amazing staff. If you’re in NYC, do yourself a favor and come here — you’ll be treated like family and leave with the biggest smile on your face. 🤍

Qahwah on 1st Ave is a hidden gem that perfectly blends warmth, tradition, and modern charm. The atmosphere is inviting, with cozy seating, warm lighting, and a touch of Middle Eastern elegance that makes you feel at home the moment you step in. We enjoyed a delightful spread, starting with their traditional tea, which was rich in aroma and full of authentic flavors. The almond croissant was perfectly flaky, with a subtle nutty sweetness that paired beautifully with the tea. The Napoleon cake was a masterpiece—layers of crisp pastry and velvety cream, balanced to perfection. The brownie fudge was decadently rich, with just the right amount of gooeyness, while the hot chocolate was an indulgent treat, creamy and smooth with deep cocoa notes. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the welcoming ambiance. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to unwind with a warm drink or indulge in delicious pastries, Qahwah is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Perfect Spot for Coffee, Conversations, and a Relaxed Vibe! We visited Qahwah Valley Cafe as a group of four for a casual Sunday morning coffee meetup, and it was absolutely perfect for that. The ambiance is beautiful — clean, upscale, and welcoming — making it an ideal place to relax and have meaningful conversations. We ordered Adani Chai, frappes, coffee, and croissants, and everything tasted fantastic. The quality of both the drinks and pastries really stood out. The atmosphere was peaceful — not noisy or chaotic — and everyone around was respectful of the space, keeping conversations at a comfortable volume. It's clear that this cafe attracts a considerate crowd who are there to genuinely enjoy the coffee, pastries, and environment without disturbing others. Overall, Qahwah Valley Cafe is a fantastic choice if you're looking to catch up with friends over coffee or even for a cozy coffee date. Great taste, great vibes, and a wonderful place to start your day!

For the area, quite a quaint spot for some nice tea or coffee. Very spacious and cozy. Almost fell asleep 😴 but that's a good thing. Didn't have any food unfortunately so I cannot say but def some spicy and aromatic coffee/tea.

I had such a wonderful experience at Qahwah Valley today. From the moment I walked in, everything just felt luxury - the decor is beautiful, the ambience is warm and inviting, and the overall energy of the place makes you want to slow down and truly enjoy your time there. I received high class and warm service from the crew and it genuinely elevated the entire experience for me. Their attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism made me feel welcomed rather than just served - something that’s rare and deeply appreciated. I ordered for a Caramel Macchiato and it was truly the most flavorful and satisfying one I’ve had in a while. Perfectly balanced and rich. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

I visited this cozy Middle Eastern-inspired café and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the traditional Yemeni coffee and the Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake — both were excellent. The Yemeni coffee has a rich, aromatic flavor with warm spice notes; every sip feels unique and comforting. The Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake was wonderfully smooth, with deep chocolate notes and a balanced sweetness — not overly sugary, just perfect. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, great for relaxing, working, or meeting with friends. Staff is kind, welcoming, and happy to help. A wonderful spot I’d happily return to. Highly recommend!

Walked into Qahwah Yemen expecting a casual cup of coffee and left spiritually awakened, mildly over-caffeinated, and questioning if I should start trading spices on a camel.😮‍💨😩😩 I ordered the traditional Yemeni coffee. No idea what exactly was in it, but I’m 69% sure it contained wisdom, cardamom, and possibly a blessing from someone’s grandmother. It was rich, aromatic, and hit my soul so hard I almost started reciting some verses of the Quran 😩 Then came the Bint al-Sahn (daughter of the plate), which sounded like a medieval fairytale but turned out to be a honey soaked pastry sent from the heavens. I hate cheese. Like passionately. But whatever sorcery they did made it taste like the universe’s most balanced bite of sweet and buttery glory. 10/10 would drink, eat, and ascend again 🤤

This cafe is located at a peaceful and posh neighborhood of Manhattan and they offer one of the best adeni chai (just like masala or karak chai that we have here in Pakistan). I also tried their honeycomb which is a good unique dessert (serving size is good too). Their pizza bites were not something special but the quality of Adeni Chai surpassed everything. Will come back I.A

Stepping into Qahwah Valley Café feels like discovering a little oasis in the middle of New York City. Warm, inviting, and effortlessly charming, the café radiates a sense of care that goes far beyond the coffee itself. Much of that comes down to the people—Naif and Ali, whose hospitality elevates the entire experience. Their warmth is genuine, their knowledge impressive, and their ability to make guests feel at home is a rare gift in a city that often feels rushed. The menu itself is a love letter to indulgence, with just enough refinement to satisfy the most discerning coffee enthusiasts. The chocolate croissant is an experience all on its own: golden layers of pastry draped in rich melted chocolate and topped with velvety chips that balance sweetness with texture. It’s the kind of pastry that stops you mid-bite, reminding you that simple pleasures are often the most luxurious. Paired with an iced caramel latte, the croissant becomes part of a perfect duo. The latte is smooth and balanced, with just the right touch of caramel sweetness to complement the espresso without overpowering it. Refreshing yet indulgent, it feels like the café’s signature sip—something you’ll want to return for again and again

This is a great coffee shop. There's free wifi and plenty of outlets, comfortable chairs, and quiet tasteful music that doesn't distract you from work. Clean and beautifully decorated too. It was not at all too crowded, and a huge bonus is that it's open late so it's great for relaxing or focusing. Lots of coffee shops in NYC nowadays are very stingy with Internet use or laptops, but this place has very generous portions and does not mind if you sit for a while. I got a pastry and a pot of qishir and it came with a votive warmer and a complimentary dish of dates. This is a cut above most coffee shops in the city! Loved it here and will definitely be back.

One of the best Adeni coffee we've tried recently. The pomegranate hibiscus tea was also very refreshing. Both drinks we got unsweetened. Their sabaya (Yemeni layered pancake made without sugar) drizzled with honey was also great. Tried the Dubai chocolate which had more milk chocolate taste than pistachio cream. The tahini maamoul cookies were simple while good and complemented well with the coffee. Beautiful spacious interior with modern lovely Islamic decor. We sat outside on a nice hot summer day so definitely appreciated the umbrella available providing much needed shade.

My family and I stopped by Qahwah Valley Cafe after dinner because we were craving some coffee and pastries. We found out they were open until 11pm, which was perfect. As soon as we walked in, we were impressed by how quiet, clean, and aesthetically pleasing the place was — a great atmosphere to relax and unwind. We ordered a Nutella croissant, cheese danish, and a Dubai chocolate croissant, along with a cappuccino, hot chocolate, and an americano. Everything was fresh and delicious. The standout, though, was the incredible service. We were taken care of by Omar, Mohamed, and Naif — all of whom were kind, respectful, and genuinely generous with their hospitality. If you visit, I highly recommend sparking up a conversation with them — it’ll make your experience even better. And definitely leave them a review — they deserve it! Thank you, guys! We’ll be back soon to try the Khaliat Alnahl and Sabaya!

I absolutely loved Qahwah Valley! It was an amazing representation of Yemen—everything from the atmosphere to the flavors made me feel seen and connected to my culture. The food was delicious, full of authentic taste, and the experience overall was incredibly warm and welcoming. I’m so glad a place like this exists—it made me feel truly represented.

I’ve been to Qahwah Valley a few times now, and it’s easily my favorite coffee spot in Manhattan. The beautifully decorated space feels both luxurious and vibrant, with plenty of room to relax. The coffee is top-notch, the desserts are delicious, and the customer service is exceptional. I highly recommend the Adeni chai (get it at 50% sugar), pistachio cheesecake, Dubai chocolate cheesecake, and the honeycomb (slightly toasted). While the location isn’t the most convenient, the experience keeps me coming back!

Qahwah Valley is an absolute gem in Murray Hill near Grand Central! This relatively new Yemeni coffee shop is stunning inside, with a beautifully designed interior that makes for a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The customer service here is top-notch—super friendly and welcoming. We tried their hot chocolate and the traditional honeycomb bread, which was elevated with honey and pistachio sauce, adding a unique and delicious twist. They offer a great variety of coffees, cocktails, desserts, and pastries, making it a perfect spot for any time of day. We’re already looking forward to coming back for their pistachio iced latte or lavender iced latte! A must-visit for coffee lovers and anyone looking for a unique café experience in NYC.

Today I had the pleasure of discovering Qahwah Valley Cafe with a group of friends. The decor is absolutely stunning, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. But it's not just about the looks – the food and drinks are equally impressive. We indulged in a variety of pastries, cakes, and drinks, and each one was simply amazing. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a delicious coffee or a delightful treat, I highly recommend giving Qahwah Valley Cafe a try. You won't be disappointed!

Amazing coffee & atmosphere. But over priced. They charge an extra dollar for decaf and for a non-dairy milk. One drink costs over $10. Also, they do not have vegan food options, which is a bummer.

Lovely coffee house with delicious Yemen coffee and superb pastries. The Baklava, Dubai chocolate are amazing. Staffs are super nice.

Legit place! I liked the pistachio Dubai style croissant with a milk tea. Definitely looking forward to come back.

Cake was too sweet for me, and it's like a 15-min walk from grand central, but it's still a good place, especially if you're coming to use electronics to study or work, it has outlets everywhere

Large coffee selection and they heat up your pastries by default, it really does make them taste better. Plenty of seating and outlets but no wifi. Drip coffee was tasty but they have weird surcharges.

Very niche style of coffee. Evidently they bool the beans to produce the coffee and then and cream and spices. Again, It's nice he and Yemeni. So it's definitely worth a try. Stop on my for a one of a kind coffee experience.

Wonderful Yemeni cafe in the Manhattan/Murray Hill area. The staff is quite friendly, and if you are unfamiliar with some of the items, they will even offer suggestions. There is also free Wi-Fi! I got to try the basbusa cake and the Adeni chai. The chai was amazing. It is hard to describe what I liked so much about it, but it’s definitely up there as one of my favorite variations of chai. Not too sweet, not too spicy, just perfect. A nice sort of silkiness to it without it heavy. Would highly recommend it, and the portion is fantastic! The glasses they have are marvelous too. The basbusa cake was pretty good as well, although I would probably try something else next time I am there. It was like a cheesecake-type item sandwiches between 2 classic basbusa pieces. Surprisingly, not overly sweet. But, it had a tad of that refrigerator flavor to it. Still, very good and a cool concept. The inside is also just so pretty. There’s more than enough space to study or work, and it’s so open with lots of light and nice decorations. Highly recommend!

I would come here again even though I don't particularly liked the food I got to try with my friends. Just the atmosphere, service, and new cuisine entices me to come again, try something new; maybe I'll find something I'll like. This place has a bathroom. I got to try the Dubai Chocolate Bar from this place and it was ✨️amazing.✨️ The Dubai Chocolate Cake however, was too rich. The other cake shown in the photo, was too bland. The Honeycomb pastry was LARGE; it was pretty much perfect except as we progressed towards the end, there tended to be a lot more honey left and became too sweet. The Sahlep is a cinnamon-topped porridge that successfully made me sleepy. If I lived around this cafe and needed to get drowsy, I would order this. Porridge is thick and heavy.

The food here is delicious but a little overpriced. The dubai chocolate bar was the highlight. The sahlep was very rich and sweet, but the toffee frappe was mediocre. I would come again for the chcolate bar and sahlep. This cafe is beautifully designed and clean. It's also quiet so it's a great place to work or study, but there is no wifi.

Great location and atmosphere. The pistachio latte was very meh however , lacking in pistachio taste. The Adeni chai was decent.

I got Arabian coffee and was just surprised how much it tasted like water mixed with some spices. It was bad. I realized once I dumped the drink that almost all the paste or spices they use was at the bottom of the cup stuck. They should use milk for these coffees I’m incredibly surprised.

This coffee shop eatery is overhyped. It is mediocre the bathrooms were disgusting. The food tasted subpar and the location is horrible. Why is this coffee house placed in the section of Manhattan. It is nice to sit down because the place is spacious but l was not impressed. Prices were ridiculously expensive and there’s no amazing service. Reminds me of an other wanna be upscale coffee shop honestly many of these coffee houses are overhyped

If you enjoy Qahwa this isn’t it, It wasn’t great. Too much cardamom. Basboosa was too dry, hard, and sweet.

some of the worst food I've had. the cheese and zaatar toast was a slice of american cheese melted on bread with a sprinkle of zaatar on top. it wasn't even toasted. the adeni chai was watery. it was expensive on top of being bad. save yourself the trip.

Very disappointing. I ordered their chocolate croissant, which looks very appealing but was virtually inedible. It's also priced at $7 which is ridiculous for a counter service establishment. It was either days old or they have no clue. Their reviews are abnormally high for NYC, so after the train wreck, I read a few and you can tell immediately that many are bogus. The place itself is beautiful and very inviting, no argument there, and all of the items in their case looked very appealing. They probably make the items that are in line with their heritage and they source the croissants. I will give them another try, and order something that looks like it's made in-house.
