Opinions de Kobrick Coffee New York
I had my 60th Birthday and Graduation here on May 3rd and it was Wonderful. We did a 60s Era because I fell in love with the Vintage Look 😍 Gary the owner was so sweet he's the best The 2 men who waited on us was just phenomenal. Very Patient and Kind. We had the Brunch Special and I had the Cracked Croissant with Fried Eggs...Delicious!!!!! I will definitely recommend 👌 my friends to celebrate there
This New York City coffee shop stands out as a top-tier destination. It's uniquely divided into two distinct areas: one offers full table service, while the other provides a convenient self-serve experience. The coffee, expertly brewed, pairs wonderfully with their impressive array of baked goods. While the Babka and mango muffin were personal favorites, you're sure to enjoy any selection from their menu.
Kobrick Coffee has been in NYC for more than 100 years and they have been serving the community and visitors with a good taste of NY. They have recently expanded from an intimate Victorian coffee shop that opened long hours to a much bigger shop with cozier and greener ambient. Their staff members are friendly and efficient. They make excellent drinks and food.
Best chai latte ive had in a while wow. Highly recommend, plus the staff are nice and vibes on point
During 2020, I learned about Kobrick coffee from a shop in park slope (forgot the name). I do remember that they were using the Tiger Stripe Reserve espresso blend and it was absolutely delicious! So in 2021, I visited the actual store by the meatpacking district. The place feels and looks like a tiny little oasis filled with the aroma of coffee. After I walked around to see if I wanted to stay, I went ahead to order either a matcha or a latte. I love asking questions and luckily the barista Andrew was able to answer everything LOL. The latte was of course delicious & the experience itself was unique. For all aficionados & connoisseurs, Kobrick remains to be my favorite quality coffee shop in the area!
If you’re in Chelsea or the Meatpacking District and feel like a coffee or breakfast then consider stopping into Kobrick. If you’re in a hurry, grab an espresso to go. If you feel like sticking around and having a bite then take a seat in the back where there’s full table service. They’ve got a great variety of beverages, including cold brew and espresso. It’s the food that I’ve come to enjoy here. There’s a few egg dishes that I’ve yet to try, but I can definitely recommend the avocado toast. It’s on a soft piece of toast and comes with plenty of avocado and chili flakes. I like how it’s not enormous which makes it more of a snack than a full meal. Add a fried egg if you’re feeling hungry.
My sister and I stumbled across this little joint for some light lunch and a drink. Josh took care of us and he was absolutely amazing! Fun personality and made sure we were taken care of. We tried the Caesar salad and Prosciutto Tartine while I had the Kyoto Negroni (fire btw). So happy we tried this spot!
Love their dark roast coffee and the setup of the place. I'm so excited to have found a new brand that I like! The smoothies on the menu seemed like leftovers in someone's fridge with a fancy label and a price tag. Very pleased that they were ready for all the people who came to admire the Great Elephant Migration exhibit in Meatpacking, especially on the last Sunday which was very busy.
amazing espresso martinis, slightly overpriced. we went to the serviced portion of kobrick coffee for drinks. the martinis were solid, and we appreciated they used kobrick coffee in them. they were, however, both over $20, which was kind of pricey. definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for a yummy and good quality espresso martini :)
Good coffee, very cute backdoor space (usually no laptops allowed in this area), lots of plants to give the space warmth and liveliness. It is a place you can relax for a few hours, have a conversation (or not) and de-stress. I can't see myself being on my phone here, which is a huge compliment to the ambiance they've created.
Beautiful lowkey bar/lounge connected to a coffee shop. Highly recommend both the sage and the matcha cocktails. The bartender / partner Jacob and Nurr are both incredibly friendly, hospitable, and charismatic. We had a blast on the eve of New Year’s Eve ;) Thanks for our favorite bar experience of 2021, stay awesome!
Their Colombian coffee is one of the greatest coffees in the World. Hands down. So smooth it is crazy. My entire family agrees
Loved their place and coffee at firs sight. Super neat place, and it was the only place open until 10pm on a Friday serving coffee. I had their cold brew and it was the perfect level between strong and tasty. Their decor in the front and in the back of the cafè is really unique. Makes you want to sit at this place for countless hours. I saw that they had a small bakery section as well and the baked goods looked appetizing. Definitely check them out!!
My son and I stopped here after we walked the highline and we absolutely loved it. My son had the Cuban Sandwich and said "It's so good, I could barf it up and eat it again!" That is a glowing recommendation from him. I had the Regina Salad which was also perfect. And the bartender recommended the hibiscus iced tea which hit the spot after a hot day walking in the sun. Also we loved the musical selection! Thank you to Marcus and Nick for a great lunch!
I visited the coffee shop side and had a cold brew and one of the labneh toasts. The cold brew was very smooth, the baristas were very nice, the toast was decent. I think the bread could’ve been thicker for the toppings.
Support your local coffee brewers! What started out as supporting a longtime friend ended up turning into giving up starbucks for Kobrick coffee. I don’t live locally and ordered three of their coffees online: Kiss of Africa, Broadway Blend and Tiger Stripe Espresso. Delivery was super prompt, receiving my package in only two days. I only have a nespresso machine at home but their customer service was very helpful in answering my questions and making sure I had a reusable pod to turn their ground coffee into one of the best espressos I ever had! I’ve only had the tiger stripe so far, but it’s one of the smoothest and most aromatic coffees I’ve ever tasted. That on top of their coffee being ethically sourced means just all around spreading good karma for the greater good of humanity. And that’s how I like my coffee. Thank you Kobrick family!
A nice small coffee shop at High Line NYC area near The Standard hotel. This place is dog friendly. They set up doggie treats for your dog. The staffs are friendly & welcoming including your dog. I ordered medium light regular coffee. Their coffee is nice & smooth. I love it. I think I’m going back to get the coffee beans. It’s that good!
For about six years now, every time I find myself in the meatpacking district excitement wells up because I know a spectacular cup of coffee awaits. Indeed Kobrick’s has consistently been an amazing coffee experience over the years. The shop itself is beautiful with a mysterious short hallway that leads to a cozy quaint sitting area. I prefer the main sitting area however, which felt more cafesque as the beautiful espresso machine is pumping out drinks and New Yorkers are coming and going. They also offer an extensive array of baked goods including New York staples such as babka. This cafe feels very New York. And perhaps its the marketing, boasting a century of coffee making, thats working on me but it does feel storied here. The cafe indeed has an ambiance harking back to the 1920’s and an aura of the jazz age. And maybe because they open up later for cocktails, Im reminded of stories set during the prohibition. Whatever the reason Kobricks offers moments not often found in an ever-changing city. They offer moments back in time. And for that they are precious to me 🥰☕️
Chill cafe - we stopped by after visiting Little Island. Excellent coffee & equally good pastry. I tried the seasonal special, a roasted hazelnut latte, b/c I was looking for something semi sweet and hot to warm me after walking around. This really fit the bill. Ambiance - the cafe is filled with tropical plants and vintage wallpaper; an oasis in the city.
This is a really nice coffee spot in the heart of the meat packing district. The cappuccino is as good as in Italy and iced latte is very refreshing. You can also seat right in the heart of the square afterwards or stroll around the neighborhood. Highly recommended spot for your next specialty coffee visit!
This coffee shop is one of many & popular one in the Meatpacking district located right across from Gansevoort Hotel. Some how this little coffee shop offers a little bit more ambiance and comfort from the norm. Easy to drink coffee, tasty treats, friendly, welcoming and considerate service appear to be consistent attributes of this fine shop. It is a busy coffee place that offers good seating selections and the friendly hum of a friendly spot.
We just wanted coffee, and it was excellent. Cortados were made perfectly: temperature, and balance between espresso and milk. Roast was smooth, dark but not burnt, flavorful. Iced latte was also very good. Forgot to take pictures, but enjoyed the sitting area. Several folks appeared to be working on laptops, others chatting. Outdoor seating as well.
Kobrick’s new, larger expansion next to their dark and cozy original spot is fantastic. It’s big, bright, has fantastic coffee (my favorite iced latte in the city) and is a fresh spot to meet people or do some laptop work as well. There are tons of seats, with bar seating against the window, 4 2-person tables in the front and room for another 20 people in the back, where they have a swinging chair too. Love the decor, with exposed brick and plants everywhere. Truly a great spot that you will enjoy frequenting for a multitude of uses. Love this place!!
Kobrick Coffee Co. has quickly become one of my go-to spots in the city! I absolutely loved their vanilla latte—it was smooth and rich, just the right amount of sweetness. The cappuccino was spot on too, with creamy foam that just melts in your mouth. I also treated myself to a warm and flaky ham and cheese croissant, and wow, it was delicious! The atmosphere is cozy yet stylish, making it perfect for diving into some work or enjoying a catch-up with a friend. Plus, the service was super friendly and efficient. I can’t wait to go back!
This is a perfect coffee shop, esp for people who like to use their laptop, study, read, sit for long periods of time, charge electronics (lots of outlets). Delish coffee. Great neighbourhood energy. No loud music but vibey background music. Great lighting, comfy tables, fast WIFI. Coffee, matcha, chai, juices, light snacks. Cappuccino was amazing. Avo toast + food options too, did not check out this time though. Open early & late. Will reiterate that this cafe is a VIBE and great for a long day of remote work or coworking. Came at 8am and left at 8pm.
When in the Gansevoort neighborhood and in the mood for a cocktail, make a pit stop here. Right next to ‘Kobrick Coffee Co.’ is its bar room. The indoor seating is intimate but well curated. The outdoor seating leaves much to be desired, due to scaffolding, but the service, drinks, and food make up for it.
I only had a Chai Latte but the service is good and the atmosphere is very cozy. Got to sit on the divan and relax while waiting for the Whitney museum. Got in at 9:15, just before a big rush and we're not hurried to make our order. Didn't try the pastries, but they looked good. They don't look to be baked on site, but still a nice variety.
Simply one of the best coffee spots in NYC. There are actually two sections. The first has full sit down service, the second is self serve. The coffee itself was perfect, and perfectly complimented by the selection of baked goods. The Babka and mango muffin were particularly delicious, but you won't go wrong on whatever you order.
This place is a must-visit whether you're a local or just in town for the day. I made a quick stop at Kobrick Coffee for a latte, and it was excellent. The oat milk latte was at the perfect temperature and tasted great. What impressed me was the wide variety of coffees and pastries they offer. Located right in the heart of the Meatpacking District, it's a top-tier destination for anyone looking for a high-quality drink and a comfortable place to take a break from shopping or exploring the city.
This has been my go-to coffee store for the last year and a half. The drinks are great, the staff are the absolute best, and the place is very spacious. Unfortunately their lease ends at the end of February 2026 and they are not renewing. Massive bummer, but excited that they will open up a new place in a different part of the city to keep their legacy. All the best to the staff and owner(s).
MEATPACKING DISTRICT, NY - Wow, what a fantastic place! It's located in the Meatpacking District - one of the best neighborhoods in NYC - and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. There are two separate sections : one of which offers sit-down service, the other take out. Both sections are elegantly decorated with warm colors that really makes you feel good. And the selection of sweets and coffees is terrific. Try the flat white or the mango muffin - both very good. For hot drinks, I recommend the Lucky Spike Latte - foamy and hot. They offer a variety of choices of milk to go with your coffee, including whole, skim, almond, or oat milk.
Kobrick Coffee is a true coffee lover’s paradise! The aroma hits you the second you walk in, and the cozy, stylish atmosphere makes it the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. The coffee is exceptional — rich, smooth, and perfectly crafted every time. Their baristas really know their stuff and always make you feel welcome. Whether you’re grabbing an espresso, a latte, or trying one of their signature blends, everything is top quality. Kobrick is easily one of the best coffee spots around!
I came here on a mission to do a lil computer work and have a matcha latte. Good vibe and there is ample seating to lock in. The matcha is THIC ? It's a lil clumpy and dense idk if it's the ratio of matcha to milk they use or what. I feel like some people wouldn't like that cus it's thic and bitter and chunky but I didn't mind it tbh. I love the taste of matcha. I sat at the round table in the back NEENAW NEENAW alert WARNING! if you sit here and other ppl come sit w u too and they move, ur gonna be irritated. Table is WOBBLY!!! Any leaning will move entire thing. Also the wifi goes in and out so if u have anything serious to do that requires wifi DONT COME. Or if your devices are dying odds are there might not be available outlets for u to use (one behind me was busted) Otherwise if ur looking for a chill spot to sit back at, this spot is great. I got the Italian sandwich for a snack and it was yummmmmmmie. Lots of tomato and moz (which for the price, there better be) it was refreshing! Anyways I'll be back
Just stopped by here for a quick beer while waiting for a nearby appointment. Located in Meat Packing its a nice spot among several other bars and restaurants on the block. Not exactly sure what they are about given the name, they only have two beers on the menu. Full bar and dining inside and lots of outdoor seating. Staff and hostess were happy to let me sit outside so service was quick.

We visited the sit down side of kobricks. We really like the calm trendy ambience inside. The waitress was really nice, pilote and friendly and the costs were reasonable.

My triple flat white was delicious. Strong and just the right amount of creamy milk. They lost a point because the coffee lacks th he rounded caramel chocolate notes I prefer and was a little bitter. I'm a hard marker.
Nicely decorated coffee shop, with sufficient outdoor seating. The coffee was nice, but the lid doesn’t not tighten on the cup, which almost resulted in me staining my shirt. Otherwise, the barista was kind, coffee was good, and view was amazing. Would recommend, just be careful of the lid.
There’s definitely cheaper places to grab a bite or a coffee in New York, but if you’d like a little Instagrammable café with tasty food one particular day, consider Kobrick. One can customize their drinks with abundant creamer, milk, sugar packets, and other flavoring options. The staff is kind and composed. Other customers use indoor voices and are very agreeable. Though my friend and I had to wait for it, the pizza we order was high-tier, delicious, satisfying, and prepared very well. I ordered a small $5 Hot chocolate and was left abundantly satisfied as well. If you’re in the neighbourhood, this coffee shop may be the stop for you!
Unique little place with a unique menu to match. There's great attention to detail throughout the cafe; you can tell careful throught was put in to exactly what the decor would be - all the way down to the prints and designs on glassware and plates. The seasonal drinks menu is full of fun names but the alcohol and coffee cocktails steal the show. Definitely recommend.
Super cozy cafe and a perfect place to catch some winter sun while sipping a cuppa. Very well laid out cafe with lots of plants giving a homely look and very clean place in general. They have a dedicated water station too. Loos are clean and the staff is very kind and polite. One less star is just because the food wasn't very great but their tomato soup is definitely something you should try.
If you need a cozy break from the stress of work and city life, take a trip to Greenwich Village and grab yourself a drink. Just a few steps away from the High Line, Kobrick Coffee is located in the perfect area with a great selection of food and drinks. It's a bit pricey for food with portions on the smaller side, but it's a classy place and a calming atmosphere.
Nice spot for coffee. They make really good coffee here. The food came out great as well. The only thing I was kinda disappointed was the service. It was very slow, I had to go back and forth inside for someone to get our orders. And it was quite the wait. Not sure if they were understaffed or something.
I used to frequent this place esp right after Covid. I loved having meetings here and working for at least an hour. But the baristas before used to be friendly, smile at you and you’d feel they really want u there. Nope not anymore so I stopped going. This was proven by my visit last weekend. There’s so many coffee places in Manhattan, I’d go where it’s a nice friendly atmosphere.
Overall predictable experience. Coffee, the DRIP, is decent, definitely better the Starbucks down the block. Price is decent & fair, considering it's located at the heart of a touristy area. Service is good and efficient. The wait time was short, and has ample seating for sit-down or coffee break, plus the streets & parks around are pleasant to stroll too ...
A charming and trendy cafe in the heart of the meatpacking. Be ready to wait in line to order some coffee on the weekend. Also they don't encourage people sitting with laptops, however they have plenty of seating options, including a backroom. The ambiance is bohemian chic, friendly and airy.

UPDATE 12/10/22: they now charge 20% auto grat on parties of 4 OR MORE… this is bonkers even by NYC standards. I have never in my life seen an establishment start auto tipping on parties of less than 6. So 4 cocktails now includes $15 just as a tip. Unacceptable, greedy, insulting to regular long time patrons. Please change this This is such a great little hidden coffee bar minimal bistro with a great bar serving really high-quality artisinal craft cocktails. All of them with a focus on being espresso based to an extent. The space is lively, but intimate. Is a great seating area in the back comfy arm chairs and corner couches. They also serve the selection of tapas bites
This is OK, the team maybe try too jard to give quick and professional service but due to that seem to laxk personality and warmth. The coffee and drinks are fine but it has no "soul" and perhaps more attention should be focussed on the xustomer experience and feeling rather than "throughput" of coffees in a day/hour. No c9mplaints but wont be back too soon as it didnt have the warmth or welcome or connection exoected of cool, fantastically decorated place with food coffee.
I hate making reviews just based on service, but the lady behind the counter was just so rude and glaringly forgot to order me a blueberry muffin, and watched me stand back in line to get one. I won though, because I failed to be phased. You cannot wipe my permanent smile off my face, it's as solid as concrete. Food is good, coffee is nice. Lady was a real rude lady. Hope she wasn't having a bad day. Hope her life gets more sunshine.
✅Cute coffee shop in Chelsea with lots of greenery and seating. We came for drinks and planned to work (given they have WiFi) but to no avail. 🚨They don’t allow laptops during peak hours for more then 20 minutes. Very unfortunate and they did not alert us until after we purchased our drinks.
Quality of the coffee and food very good, nice shop environment. Service pretty poor, coffee arrived after food was already eaten, order was incorrect and had to be redone and served in takeaway containers - which at the price being charged, doesn't quite cut it.
I came to this place because the reviews are high. The place is a very good decoration. Unfortunately, the coffee contin a lot of mailk and there is no taste for coffee. I took micchato and Crtado. And also the cinnamon cake I didn't like. It wasn't fresh. The worker gave all the drinks to go and didn't ask even if we wanted to sit or ...
The service was nice and indoor decor was too. The only thing that troubled me in this place was when I asked for sauce. They handed me an extremely small amount and when I asked for salt & pepper, that came in a very small amount too. I don’t really know why they did that. Food was pretty ! Pretty good? Not really. Next time I go there I’ll just be there for the coffee.
theres two halves of this store, one is an upscale bar/coffee shop and the other is quick service. we went to the fancy part to check it out. Its the kinda spot you go to if youre tryna spend 30$ on a cocktail. not me. we got regular coffee stuff and it was nothing to write home about. My partner and I got in a fight here and i blame it on the coffee.
I stopped in during the afternoon to grab lunch and sit for a bit. The space is very nice, cozy, stylish, and good for working or meeting someone casually. I ordered a cold brew and a sandwich. The coffee was strong and enjoyable, but the food was just okay. Not bad, but the portion felt small for the price. Service was fine, but not especially attentive. I’d return mainly for the atmosphere and coffee, not necessarily for a full meal.
Visited in October 2025. Coffee was great. However it was disappointing that, given today’s aim for sustainability, the cafe still uses single-use paper cups. Not to mention these cups usually contain microplastics. I hope they consider switching to more eco-friendly options soon.
Cappuccino was good, but wish it had been served in a real cup, not paper. Almond croissant was dry not delicious. Good ambiance! Still one and done for me. Best thing was the coffee, the rest was …

We arrived at this place and were seated right away but the guys took a long time to come and take our orders. My husband and I ordered Mocha and the Mocha was so sweet, I didn’t taste any sorts of chocolate. I felt I’m drinking a cup of sugar so I had to also finish the bottle of water that was on the table.
Good for working with a laptop outside. Coffee was way too bitter I couldn’t drink it (cappuccino with oat milk). Berries & cream smoothie was okay. Breakfast wrap was okay too. Would recommend if you need a place to work from but coffee and food not very good and employees have a bad attitude
OVERPRICED Jesus Lawd I paid $30 for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Then ya go get it yourself!

The young male barista at 6:05pm today was too busy conversing with a customer instead of attending to people in line. 5 minutes was the exact time of conversation despite there being a line. No need for me to return to this coffee shop with this type of service. We patiently waited in line and he clearly saw us.
I went to Kobrick coffee about a year ago with a friend, and thought I may have seen a small mouse run across the floor. I am a native New Yorker, so I let it slide, as it is somewhat common, especially on the ground floor. I hadn’t been back since until yesterday, and ended up sitting in the same exact seat I had a year prior. About 20 minutes into my stay, I saw another small mouse run across the floor and startle a couple of other customers sitting on the couch. This time, upon leaving, I thought I would give the staff a discreet heads up. I walked to the side of the counter, as it was a bit busy in the front of house, and an employee walked up to me first to scold me for standing where a customer shouldn’t. I was very friendly and spoke in a low tone of voice to say “sorry, I just wanted to let you know I saw a small mouse in the back”. He essentially cut me off while I was finishing my sentence to smile smugly and say “Yeah, all good! Thanks!” and proceeded to walk away. Suffice it to say, I won’t be going back, and would advise others to stay away from this rodent infested, rude-staffed cafe :)
I gave this place a second chance after a disappointing first experience, but unfortunately, my second visit was even worse. We arrived close to closing time and were told we couldn't order an espresso martini because the equipment was already cleaned. Instead, we settled for regular espressos. However, the real issue was with our first round of drinks. We ordered four drinks without trying them first, and unfortunately, nobody liked them. The drinks were overly sweet and not well-made. When I politely mentioned that my drink didn't taste good, the bartender became defensive and threw my drink away. He claimed that the liquor was still within its inventory, but his attitude was completely unprofessional. What really shocked me was that this happened after I had already closed the check and left a tip. I've never experienced such poor service and unprofessional behavior from a bartender. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this establishment again.
