Opinions de Mee New York
We started going to Fattoush by Salma about three months ago. We used to visit Salma, but one time they were fully packed and recommended we try their new location—and ever since, we’ve been hooked! The food, the service, and the atmosphere are all top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. The servers are amazing. We genuinely love being there and can’t stop recommending it to friends and family. Natalia, Marcella, and Gigi are unbelievably courteous and truly know their job well.
One of the BEST spots for a group dinner + birthday. Came here with 4 others and set a reservation the week before (call to do so). They were always super sweet and flexible and even have a bring your own bottle option (does require minimum purchase, for us it was apps and 3 platters). Even with 3 appetizers and 3 platters + tip, it was less than $150. Some of the best Lebanese food I've had in the city plus the coziest environment. Great service and people, plus they even helped us celebrate our friends bday with a little dessert (she had no clue and was surprised). Bonus if you are gluten free since there are soooo many GF options.
We had a very tasty and satisfying small dinner which consisted of an appetizer of perfectly spiced lamb sambousek with a chicken shawarma wrap split between us. The one chicken sandwich was ample and more than enough food for both of us. Our waitress Marcela was very elegant and explained all of our questions about the portion sizes, ingredients, etc. She was very accommodating, bringing sauces like gatlic yogurt sauce and red chili sauce to complement what we ate. I thought the decor was very tasteful and calming with beautiful muted colors and Middle Eastern touches.
We had a wonderful dinner here on a Wednesday night. The food was delicious and the space very comfortable. And the service was also very good and not pushy. We ordered the appetizer plate for four and the mixed grill supreme. Everything was perfect and easy to share. It is also BYOB at no charge. Highly recommended!
Every dish felt fresh and full of flavor. The wrap was loaded with tender meat, crunchy vegetables, and rich, creamy sauces. The mezze with hummus hit every note perfectly. The setting is welcoming with vibrant seating and a cozy, authentic feel that makes the whole experience truly enjoyable.
I almost don’t want to leave a review so I can keep this place to myself! The food was incredible - the muhammara and fig hummus were unreal. The fig hummus was sweeter than I expected so it was nice to have something more savory to balance it out. We also got the mint lemonade, jallap, and arayes with cheese and everything was delicious. The drinks were both in slushie form, and the jallap was made of rose water and not too sweet. All so flavorful! The service was excellent, quick and very kind. Looking forward to my next visit!
I’m stuffed like a grape leaf. Everything that came to my table was out of this world. Fresh, delicious, authentic, homemade and made with love. My compliments to the chef and owner. Staff is beautiful and atmosphere is beautiful and cozy and colorful. I’m bringing my family back.
We stumbled in looking for a spot in the West Village on a Saturday night and managed to grab a table, and WOW. Truly one of the best meals I’ve had in the city. Everything was divine, free glass of wine, and the chef came out to bring us different things he whipped up while we waited. The restaurant is too small for all of the people they need to have here!! There should be a line around the block.
Always a wonderful experience at Fattoush! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented! the wrap was packed with juicy meat, crisp veggies, and creamy sauces, while the mezze and hummus were just perfect. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with colorful seating and a cozy, authentic vibe that makes you feel right at home.
Authentic Lebanese food. The kibba and fattoush were my favorite. I really enjoyed the fig hummus which was on the sweeter side but oh so good. A must try in the neighborhood.
Came here with a few friends a few weeks ago (after a workout class so we were appropriately starving) and tried a smattering of things that were all wonderfully delicious. We had the beetroot hummus, tabbouleh, kebbeh, sambousek, and cheese rolls. And decided to split falafel and the shish tawouk platter which was so perfectly seasoned and cooked. There were still so many things we didn't get to try but I will definitely be returning. Also, side shoutout for the mint lemonade - refreshing!
Had an amazing time at Fattoush! The food was so fresh and delicious. Amazing service staff, owner and lovely decor. Overall a great experience and can’t wait to go back again soon!
We were starving in New York and ended up having Lebanese food — it was absolutely delicious and so satisfying! Every bite felt like comfort after a long, hungry day Liza was so helpful in choosing the meal she was humble and kind loved her kind gesture
Liza and Natalia were incredibly accommodating and attentive, the service here was 11/10 stars, the food here is beyond! We had the appetizer for 2 and the grape leaves were delicious!!! Just run!!! Don’t walk here!
Have you tried any Lebanese or Mediterranean food? This is YOUR place! Great service, magnificent food, and awesome flavors! Fresh salads, veggie rolls, juicy and spiced meats! You can indulge yourself with these Lebanese food and take a dreamy trip to Lebanon. 100% recommended even if you're not in the area! Thank you for an amazing dinner with my wife!
The food was so good, and so was the service! We got the appetizer for 4 people and it was such a great portion! The quality and variety were amazing, and the atmosphere was great! Come to this restaurant😄
Nevermind the delicious food, their hot sauce is to kill for. Marcela is very pleasant! I used to wonder why the place is always packed and now I know exactly why!
Everything we had was amazing! The four person appetizer platter was the best part. Marcela kept us happy and hydrated. Couldn’t ask for more.
Everything was amazing. Our wonderful server, Natalia, was incredibly kind and accommodating, and the owner personally made sure everyone was happy and well taken care of. This is one of my favorite restaurants, and I will definitely be coming back. I would recommend this place again and again!
Insane food for insane prices. One of my fav Japanese spots in nyc, have been back more than 5 times. Need a reservation, otherwise ~30 min - 1 hr wait. Everything is so good, rarely any misses. Only con is that they BLAST the music so it’s hella loud inside and lowkey hard to talk, wouldn’t come here to catch up w/ someone - Zuke salmon don: 11/10, like $20 (so worth!!). MUST GET - Double hamachi roll: Standard - Geso kara age: Standard - Kimchi cream udon: 9/10, good flavor and creamy - Omu soba: 9/10 - Okonomiyaki: 11/10
Came here with family and really enjoyed the food - especially the tuna tataki on crispy rice and the agedashi tofu.It was quite loud, though, so not ideal if you’re trying to have a proper catch-up conversation. What truly impressed me was their creative cocktail menu. I especially loved the Matchaholic, it’s such a fun twist on Japanese flavors and culture. Note: they won’t seat your party until everyone has arrived, so be sure to be on time. Considering the price, I’d personally rate it a 4/5 - but given how expensive NYC is in general, the pricing makes sense. It is on the pricier side, but I’d still recommend trying it at least once.
I visited this place for lunch with coworkers. We came with a reservation and were seated immediately. It can get busy for lunch time so I recommend a reservation, but there is plenty of seating. The Kimchi Cream Udon was delicious. It was loaded with flavour, kept me full, and was a decent price.
I had such a great experience at Izakaya Mew in New York! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was fresh, flavorful. The prices were very reasonable for the quality, which made it even better. The service was excellent too — friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. It’s definitely one of those places you want to come back to again and again. Highly recommended!
One of the best Izakaya in the city for both quality/variety of food, and reasonable prices. Located downstairs and always packed with diners. Seasonal specials like scallop skewers and regular items tartare, mentaiko udon, crudo & basque cheesecake all top notch. It was quite loud due to the packed seating and service a bit slow.
Okay for those of you who are not a native to NYC like me. This place is absolutely easy to miss, especially at night. Look for the black awning stuffed between two other restaurants. See attached photo. Go down, sit down and enjoy. Just to forewarn it’s a bit noisy for date night and can be a bit crowded like you see in the attached video. We were there during the week. Well worth the experience and wait.
The food here really impressed us, some of the best Japanese dishes we’ve had in a while. Everything was fresh, well-balanced, and full of flavour. It was definitely on the loud side inside, but once the food arrived, we didn’t mind at all. A great spot if you care more about taste than quiet.
We went for lunch. We got seated quickly on a weekday. I used to make reservations online but found that we were still accommodated when we just went there. Service was efficient. About the menu, noticed accompanying sides changed over time but the food/sets are delicious and very satisfying at great prices. I tried the Tokachi butadon and didn't expect the pork belly to be so soft that I actually said it was melt-in-my-mouth-tender.
This is a very good Korean bbq restaurant. The food is amazing and it is a whole experience have e selection of dishes cooked at your table. The menu is very good. From sashimi and wagyu tartare to bbq skewers and so on. All the dishes we had were just amazing. You order from a tablet at your table. Which eliminates the interaction with a server. But nonetheless the experience was awesome Wish some of the menu items had a little bit of description since it is already digital. The place was really noisy. Well I guess it was just the noisy patrons But all in all a great experience and absolutely amazing food.
A must-visit for sushi lovers. We waited nearly 30 minutes to be seated at Izakaya Mew, but every bite made it worth the wait. The entrance is unassuming—you head down a set of stairs with no flashy signs—but inside is a buzzing, tightly packed space filled with energy. The atmosphere is minimal yet vibrant, clearly loved by locals and visitors alike. We tried the Mew Special, Volcano Roll, Dynamite Roll, and Black Dragon Roll—each one thoughtfully prepared, balanced, and full of flavor. Nigiri pieces were also excellent, with perfectly seasoned rice and fresh cuts of fish. Service isn’t super fast, but dishes come out with care and attention. It’s clear the kitchen prioritizes quality over speed, which we appreciated. We had a great family dinner and will definitely come back—with a reservation next time.
Generous portions and a nicely designed, cozy restaurant. We arrived around 6 pm without a reservation and were seated immediately. At that time, the restaurant was about half empty, but by around 7 pm it became packed. I noticed a shift in service once it got busy—it was harder to get the waitresses’ attention—but they were still very friendly. The food was delicious—especially the cheese roll (puff pastry with mozzarella and feta) and the Shish Tawouk, which was perfectly grilled and flavorful. They offer complimentary tea served in a teapot, though it’s made with tea bags. Loose-leaf tea would be a nicer touch, but considering it’s complimentary, it’s still appreciated. Overall, a nice spot for casual dining.
A little cramped but cozy atmosphere. I really liked the scallops. I’m not really sure if I could taste the kimchi in the creamy udon dish? Karaage was super fresh and piping hot, it did taste good dipped in the remaining sauce from the creamy kimchi udon. It was pretty crowded when we went for dinner, maybe expect a wait (though we did go friday night). The wait was about 30 minutes.
Generally very reasonably priced with. Lot of Japanese pub food. The portions are fair. I recommend going with a small group so you can try/share things. The okonomiaki was pretty large. The mushrooms truffle ramen was very rich. The sushi rolls were yummy but hot dishes are a better value of food quantity for the money.
We recently dined at this Japanese restaurant and overall had a wonderful experience! The dishes were flavorful, beautifully presented, and full of savory goodness. Every plate brought something unique to the table — from the perfectly seasoned fried rice topped with an onsen egg, to the rich and satisfying omusoba drizzled with mayo and okonomiyaki sauce, and the crunchy sushi rolls bursting with freshness and texture. The tempura avocado tacos were a fun and creative twist, and the cheese fries offered a comforting, cheesy bite. The restaurant itself had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were attentive — they checked in several times to ensure our food arrived properly and that we were satisfied, which we really appreciated. However, we did find the cheese fries a bit too greasy and heavy, leaving a noticeable oily aftertaste. That was the only dish that didn’t quite meet the high standard of the others. Another small disappointment was being charged $1.50 extra for hot sauce — it was unexpected and felt a bit unnecessary for such a simple request. Despite these minor issues, the food was overall delicious and savory, and the service was kind and attentive. If not for the extra charge for the hot sauce and the overly oily fries, we’d gladly give them a full 5 stars. Still, this is a place we’d happily return to for another flavorful meal!
Busy and lively basement izakaya. The Yuzu Kiki cocktail was nice, kind of like a sparkling margarita. Food was just average, more like cafeteria dishes. The Frozen Kirin Beer looked cool but wasn’t cold enough and didn’t taste great. Each dish is cheap, and most of the guests looked pretty young. Fun vibe if you like crowds, but not really for the food.
