The doorman, the tall guy in the long coat.... awesome. Thanks for making my family feel welcome and getting us into the right spot. We also appreciate the history on the piston driven elevator and the building. We will be back on our next trip to the city and look forward to chatting with you again. Cheers from Detroit.
Great Irish bar with plenty of drinks to choose from. We found this bar on our last day but I wish we found it much earlier on our visit. We sat on the roof top and despite the rainy weather and the roof been closed it was still great with plenty of seating area. There was a lift up to the 3rd floor if you didn't fancy the stairs and the toilets was all old beer kegs and pumps for the sinks urinals and taps even the door handles was old light up beer pump handles which was amazing. Definitely recommend this bar
What can I say about this place, awesome! This is our go to spot in midtown. Whenever we travel to NyC, there is no better stop at the end of our night or when we want great drinks and a late dinner. Cannot say enough good things about this place. Here many times, never disappoints.
Great place for dinner and drinks. Chicken pot pie was amazing!
Excellent Irish bar in times square. Great staff, great food and the second best pint of Guinness that I have personally tasted outside of Dublin. It was a go to place for us every evening after a long day sight seeing
A little less quiet than their sister bar right next door, Connolly's, which is more energetic, loud, and lively. My wife and i wanted the more chill irish pub vibe and this place was it. Awesome irish brews on tap and the bartenders and servers were always helpful and friendly. Went there twice we enjoyed it so much.
Awesome beer selection. Several local choices. There’s a cool rooftop patio. Didn’t get to try the food because our server forgot to put in our order and the kitchen closed. But he admitted it and apologized. I appreciate that. They also threw in a couple beers on the house. Great atmosphere. Still 5 stars in my book
Loved the Irish Breakfast! This is a nice place to hangout and have a pint.
I usually make a pilgrimage to the Perfect Pint every trip to New York City. Real Irish barkeepers and proper draught Guinness. My barkeep James not only set me up with my usual of a shot of Jameson and a Guinness, he surprised me with an off menu supply of curry chips on my most recent visit. It's at it's best when packed and there is an upstairs to accommodate big crowds. There are pubs with cozier confines but it's the people behind the bar that make this place perfect for me.
This place was recommended by my wife's co-worker. We're not from NY and were in town for a Broadway Show. What a great place. We sat on the rooftop. The people were great but the food was better. I had the Curry Chicken and the portion was huge. Great taste, mild but not overpowering. The prices were very reasonable.
Great stop to have a good meal and refreshing beverage. The beer selection is extensive, including some house choices - I opted for The Perfect Pint Irish Red. The staff was friendly and attentive. I was considering one of the burger options in till the steak sandwich caught my attention. This turned out to be a very good decision. I especially liked the hints of garlic with all the other ingredients. In all it was a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
Came for a quick bite after coming off a flight. Service was great as soon as i walked in and they took me to the rooftop bar. Waitress quickly came over to take our drink order and food. Both came out fairly fast and the food tasted great! Good options on their menu as well. Plethora of alcohol to choose from.
Perfect pint is indeed perfect to grab a drink or a quick bite after a busy office day in Manhattan. They have a vast variety of drinks - something to suit everyone’s preference. I had the aperol spritz which was quite bubbly and refreshing. Others in my group ordered old fashioned, red wine, and Jameson on the rock and everybody enjoyed their drinks. This place was fully packed on a Wednesday evening, 5 pm - so definitely a popular spot in Manhattan!
The service was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. We had such a wonderful time enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, and the rooftop bar was a highlight—great views and a lively vibe. It was the perfect spot to relax, enjoy some drinks, and unwind with friends. The experience was all around enjoyable, and I’ll definitely be back again soon! Highly recommend for anyone looking for great service and a fun, elevated atmosphere.
Had a great time at this Irish pub and restaurant. We started on the smoking terrace up stairs until it started raining. The servers were great and squeezed us in too a recently based table inside. The servers were very attentive. The food was very good. I had the bangers and mash. It needed more gravy so I asked and they provided it for a dollar up charge. I would try asking them to go heavy on the gravy when ordering. The gravy makes the meal. Cool place, great atmosphere, great service, good pricing. I would definitely come here again
Great place to come to in the city if you are in midtown. Some of my personal recommendations are the Gaelic burger with A1 sauce, the lamb burger; if you are not that hungry I would recommend the lobster bisque, the mozzarella sticks, the wings and chicken fingers. They have a nice roof top so you definitely stop by after work.
Sharon is THE best- make sure you ask for her! Our party of 14 is here right now on the rooftop dining area, and she is wonderful! Great food, great atmosphere; a perfect experience all around. We are celebrating in memory of my parents and Sharon has been attentive, sweet and very professional. We will definitely be back- thank you so very much!
Fantastic Irish pub just off Time Square. We drank and ate on the roof terrace bar, don't worry there is a lift up and WC facilities up there. Guinness was as described "the perfect pint" and food was excellent, pictured is the crab cake sandwich and fries. Friendly staff, good service. Make sure you check it out.
The perfect pint has served us well, The staff are polite, nothing is to much trouble and you can tip if you want they don't hold their hands out, how it should be! Various pints to be had, food delicious and atmosphere happy and friendly 🥂🍻
Amazing staff and great people who work hard to make the experience perfect for ybeir guests. Great place to do networking events. Shona and Mary are amazing to work with.
Perfect Pint is such an interesting place, with 4 floors and different stuff on each one. Really good food at a standard price, it's worth filling up before you go to town on one of their many choices of beverages. Then work your way up to the 3rd floor inside (with a balcony) and then up to the roof where it gets packed because of how popular this place is. Weekends are a must to go here, and check out their specials on drinks. Fish and chips was great and the Irish breakfast with so much delicious food.
Great place for a drink, I had a cocktail and hubby got a bucket of bud, the place was very busy but the server got us a table no problem, he was very friendly and the service was quick didn’t wait long on our drinks, we didn’t have food but it looked amazing. Highly recommend this place.
Highly recommend this place. We went on a Sunday around dinner time and sort of just bumped into this place walking around and decided to try it as we were looking for a nice fun place to have a sit down dinner, but didn't want something extra fancy or expensive. The building is cool and we decided to eat on the 4th floor "roof top" patio. Staff were all courteous and inviting, and most had an Irish accent. Even though they were busy, the service was good. Everything we ordered was great! Seriously everything. The brussel sprouts were amazing! Even if you don't like brussel sprouts. Crab cakes were good, lobster bisque was delectable. And...surf n turf with sides in midtown NYC for $26? I was initially skeptical, but the strip, jumbo shrimp, veggies and potatoes were all perfectly done. Like, "you want to lick your plate" perfectly done. Washed it all down with a pint of Guinness at just the right temperature. Even the bathrooms were great! Overall we had a great visit!
Great place to grab a drink or meal before a broadway show. Friendly service and fun rooftop. Only struggle is the steps up to the rooftop if you have mobility issues, however you can use the elevator at the adjoining restaurant. Also their bathrooms on the roof are tiny and you may have to go down a couple floors if necessary.
While on vacation in NYC, we ate dinner at The Perfect Pint in Times Square. This is a really cool Irish Pub with three floors. We went to the third floor, and we were lucky to have Freddy as our server. He was fun and gave us great service. My son and I split the Reuben and the Cheese Steak. They were both so good, and the fries were outstanding. My daughter had the Portobello sandwich, and she said it was very good. The Perfect Pint also has a fantastic selection of beer on tap. If you are in Times Square, this is a good place to eat and have a few beers.
This place is so much fun! 🍻 The Perfect Pint 🍺 is your classic Irish 🇮🇪 pub with a large collection of beers, drinks 🍹, and delicious dishes 🥘. The nachos are a must have! They have multiple levels and a rooftop bar with a fantastic ambience! 🎶 Great spot for groups looking for a chill night 🌃 out in NYC. 🗽 I wish I came here more often!
So the perfect pint of the Irish bar next door seemed to commingle without problem. This was a perfect spot to have a pre theater dinner. It was amazing how noisy the outdoor seating was: and I'm not talking about traffic! The people around you should think this is a broker bar down on Wall Street. Realize you're going to get an Irish corned beef sandwich and not a New York Jewish deli corned beef sandwich
We came to perfect pint twice on our New york trip. The first night we included dinner (which was lovely and very filling) the food was cooked perfectly and filled us up big time! The drinks were priced great for the location (a lot better than some other places) the second time we came we managed to get in for happy hour!! The atmosphere was great, first night we watched a yankees game (we didn’t really understand baseball, one of the servers happily explained the game so we could watch :)) it really was a great couple hours we spend each day in here. Definitely planning on returning here on my next travel to the city!!
This place is walkable distance from times square, it's a great Irish pub serving fantastic beer and food. Servers were fast and easy. Food is great. It's open air terrace plus a separate balcony for smokers. Not very expensive according to the location, a beer pint was 8$. They have screening for sports events too.
The rooftop is more of a balcony, and I wouldn’t recommend it—especially since it was very humid, making sitting outside quite uncomfortable. Connolly’s and The Perfect Pint actually share the same rooftop. It’s a decent spot with an average vibe; the food and drinks are okay. But if you're looking for that quintessential New York rooftop experience, this might not be the place for you. I'd suggest checking out other options.
With our timeshare being right next door to here, we ended up becoming frequent flyers after the 1st night. The food was so good that we ate there 3 different nights! My husband had a burger one night, I had a salad, my mom had fish and chips and my dad had Shepards pie. Everything was good! The only part I wasn't as fond of was the small size of the place, but I guess .. when in NYC, right? Haha
My first time at the W. 45th Street location---I've been many, many times to the east 45th Street location that was easy walking distance to 3 of my last 4 jobs. I love it because I can always get my Magners/Bulmers hard Irish apple cider here and my friends like it for other reasons and are always willing to go. Keep in mind that this location is adjacent to Times Square and its returning throngs of tourists. Still, the upstairs area is a nice haven.
Atmosphere and service was great but the food was mediocre. If you want a cool place to grab a drink it is great! If you’re looking for good food eh..
Great spot for post-show drinks. We went after seeing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I had a cosmo, it was pretty good! I love a good Irish pub, so the atmosphere was great. My husband had wings, he said the sauce flavor was excellent, the wings themselves seemed a little old, but overall very good.
This was a really cool Irish Bar, situated right in the middle of downtown Manhattan. We sat on the rooftop, which despite not having a great view, was very interesting! The food was great, the drinks were good enough, and the staff was alright. This restaurant took me back in time a little bit, which I mean in the best way possible. If they can get the service part down a little bit better, it'd be a can't miss place! Would recommend.
A pretty standard Irish Pub fare. The food quality is decent and pretty much what is expected of an Irish pub, nothing extraordinary but satisfying enough. Price point is reasonable for NYC tourist trap area. Seating on the 2nd floor is quiet, which is nice. Food came out quick and service was good.
This place is pretty buzzing during the evening, very close to the Times Square but away the chaos. You'll find a narrow entrance but you can ask for a roof top seating. The place above is huge, has a big roof. The big is pretty cool and has good collections. You'll also enjoy their beer on tap and have pretty interesting appetizers.
Seated quickly by a nice tall typical New York accented man. Had a Brooklyn Lager draft and she had a Bud Light(eww-water drinker!) We ordered the Nachos Nirvana for a late night snack to end the evening. Loved the chips and toppings. Only drawbacks were it was crowded, had to exit, reenter a different door, and then climb stairs to top section plus our server did not have a lot of personality. Overall not a bad experience but I think they could do better.
Holy moly there were a lot of stairs for the Bella’s who needed to rest their feet and enjoy a cold pint. Great selection of draught beers, got the Brooklyn Larger. Service was okay and drinks were served in plastic glasses which didn’t add to the vibe. Good spot to stop if you’re around Times Square and want to park up on a rooftop for a bit!
Mediterranean salad was great. Fish and chips was above average.
The hostess is not very welcoming. The fish tacos and fish n chips were good. The cheeseburger was just ok…heavy thick bun(supposed to be signature), thick, dry patty. I would not order it if given another chance. All in all, a good place to have a drink and average bar food if you have had a few drinks.
Good basic, solid Irish pub in Midtown near Grand Central Station. Food is OK but very pricey. I’d walk two blocks to Malones for good Irish pub fare. A local standby and an enjoyable place to come in and get a beer. Bartenders are efficient and that’s about all..
Arrived for a post show dinner. Was directed to the rooftop. After climbing a ton of stairs ( with a bad knee and a previously broken ankle, we were told about the elevator. Started with the pretzel app. The only redeemable quality was the cheese dip. Pretzel was soggy. Ordered 2 steak sandwiches, one medium, one medium well. Both came out well done an inedible. Sent them back, got the chicken club sandwiches. Irish bacon was undercooked, chicken was dry and halfway though I found a peice of what appeared to be a take out mustard packet. The server was attentive, the place was cute however the food was awful. A huge disappointment
Unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience, food was cold in the center and clearly was reheated(bangers and mash). The hostess was too busy to greet guests with her cellphone. The waitress was not attentive to refills, and generally didn't seem concerned about providing good service.
I went to your establishment with my friends on Saturday and felt very uncomfortable. A man who appeared to be the manager repeatedly walked past our table and stared at us in a way that made us feel as though we were doing something wrong. This behavior made us extremely uncomfortable. As a result, we only had one drink and decided to leave early.
The management and staff were very pushy and unprofessional. Our waiter only brought us drinks and never came back. After a while we just started to get drinks from the bar directly. Shortly after we were asked to leave our table for “another reservation” without even settling out our bill for the only round of drinks our waiter provided. I had to track down our waiter to get to settle the tab. This place is really a nice but the staff, especially management, are too overbearing and unorganized.
Absolutely rude Irish server at the rooftop floor. He made a scene coming to my table complaining in front of everyone because I didn’t leave 20% tip on beers when I tipped $1 per beer which is the usual tipping guidelines for beers. Never going back there - and I should’ve tipped him zero!
We've been visiting the Perfect pint for over 10 years and always found it friendly with good service. However, last night the barkeep really didn't want to serve any customers and at every opportunity disappeared to the end of the bar to talk with someone, with his back to everyone. He was actively rude and clearly didn't want to serve any customers. Not good enough for any bar, but when you're paying $9 for a pint it's beyond the pale.
I had very bad experience in this place, staff not nice, not knowledgeable and so rude Unfortunately food is good, but customer service is horrible..
Not good for large groups - even after confirming a reservation they had trouble accommodating and gave us a hard time for what we had requested in the reservation. Very poor customer service which tells me poor management.
Be careful not to be relaxed or chill at a table alone, they will kick you out especially if it’s around 11:15 pm, for no reason I Don’t recommend this place. They stole my drink don’t visit..
We’ve been loyal patrons of The Perfect Pint in Midtown East for some time, which led us to try their Midtown West location. On this occasion, the three of us arrived just after 6 PM for beers and fries, ordering a total of 15 or 16 beers. When the bill arrived, the waitress presented us with a charge for 21 beers. The receipt was not itemized, and when we requested a detailed breakdown, she falsely claimed we ordered more, including asserting that I had two Delirium Tremens when I only ordered one (evidence of this is in the attached video and photos l). Her response escalated to threats when we pressed for clarification. We simply wanted an accurate, itemized account of our order, not fabricated charges. The manager, Ernesto, intervened but only compounded the issue. He first falsely stated we had been there since 3 PM, which we corrected, then insisted that a typical person consumes two beers per hour, a baseless assertion that didn’t align with our consumption. He then again refused to provide an itemized receipt, claiming that it is too much work to keep track of what beers everyone drinks(an illegal practice) We captured this exchange on video - see the attached footage, along with photos and our bill. Ultimately, to avoid further confrontation, we paid the inflated total, which added approximately $20 per person to our bill, but it left us deeply unsettled. This was not a simple mistake - it felt like deliberate overcharging, supported by lies and intimidation. We will be uploading additional video evidence showing the waitress’s condescending and potentially racist demeanor, as well as her conversation with the manager, both of whom seemed complicit in this practice. We intend to dispute the charge with our credit card companies and urge others to approach this location with caution. The Perfect Pint in Midtown West appears to engage in deceptive and possibly criminal practices, preying on customers who trust they’ll be billed fairly. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear.
