OMG the real deal! The Pernell was fabulous! This is my kind of place. Nice, clean but not fancy. Clearly they put their focus on the food. Service was friendly and efficient but hallmark is large servings of great tasting food.

What a delightful and cozy restaurant!!! ✨✨The staff makes your eating experience so welcoming. The spices melt in my mouth, and my taste buds are leaping on delight. I'm so thankfully stuffed that I'm upset I can't eat all my food!! I love how the food is top quality at an affordable price. As a New Yorker that's refreshing, since this is one of the most expensive cities in the country to live in. The struggle is real but God is bigger. This dish was the stew goat + sweet plantain with French fries at the side. This is my second time here, and I cannot wait to come back. Great food with even greater people. I pray they continue to be blessed, and even more prosperous than they already have been. The passionate servants heart is poured into the ambiance and every single dish served. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant.

The food was very enjoyable and for the price you get your money worth. I don't think you have any leftovers in that restaurant. The cook is excellent and I will always go back. They need a bigger place lol

Solid choice for Domincan on Amsterdam and 107. The Pernil and Arroz con Pollo were exceptional. For appetizers we had the Guacamole, empanaditas, croquetas, and calamares and they were all good.

Came here on a Tuesday evening to celebrate my friends birthday. It’s a small place but there was definitely a booth seat in the back for my friend and I. My friend has been here prior and ordered the Pollo Parmigiana with rice and beans instead of pasta 😂 lol I ordered the Camarofongo and a side of white rice. My dish was decent. I probably wouldn’t order it again because the mashed fried plantain dome is a lot and thick-heavy. Flavors weren’t bad though. I’m pescatarian so maybe next time I’ll try a fish dish. For dessert, I got the tres leches which is usually my go to at a Spanish restaurant. I ordered chicken, plantains and salad for my mom for takeout to bring to her. She really enjoyed it. The food was good. The prices were great. I’d go back.

The food was spot on. The great flavor you expect when eating Dominican food. However, The service was really bad. She was friendly but not attentive at all. I just started stopping staff walking by to order food and drinks. It’s extremely rare that I leave a bad tip, but this was one of those instances. Great food though.

Hit or miss. The food can taste old at times. Rotisserie chicken can be VERY hard/dry. Rice is also hard at times. Rarely order but scared whenever I do because you don't know what to expect. Food can be good when fresh or I guess depending on the chef.

I ordered a steak sandwich and morir soñando to be delivered across the street. Steak sandwich was hard, food was delivered late and when I asked for a refund the male individual I spoke to was very rude. To the person that spoke to me always remember the customer is right, the customer can write a review and I can also report you to the better business bureau. Never try to humiliate a customer over the phone because the food service was bad. Be humble and correct the situation or address the chef. I will definitely never order from this location again. I've had better food than this.
