Lovely food and some unique cocktails. They also offer some nice Kraft beer as well in their intended glasses. Enjoyed all 3 courses. Portion sizes were filling. The staff was very attentive and polite even though it was crowded. Would definitely Recommend. Booking in advance for dinner is advisable.
Had an amazing time and highly recommend. The venue is stunning. Loved the sort of jungle/woodland theme, both in and outdoors. We had a meal upstairs where again, the decor is great. The food was absolutely amazing. My wife said its the best katsu chicken she's ever had. My Jamaican kebab was delicious. I'll definitely be going back if I'm in that area again. My wife and I love cocktails and were blown away by the creativity of all the different drinks. Staff were all very friendly and attentive Can't wait to go back.
While staying in the hotel next door for work I came here for food and drinks. The venue is amazing, came into a tropical beer garden and a well decorated interior. Staff were all very friendly. The chorizo chicken was amazing and great value. Beer moretti on tap and a fantastic long island ice tea. Would recommend and come again.
A great selection of food I wanted, and what we did have was excellent. Really friendly staff quick service, good beer and interesting surroundings. Really good experience
Absolutely gorgeous food, not expensive for what you get. Staff really attentive and pleasant. Very nice place to eat 👌staying at the hotel next door so that's my evening meals sorted for the week.
Came on the night of Beyonce at the stadium of light, was very busy but we booked so got our table quickly. The staff seemed extremely overwhelmed, way too many tables for the level of staff they had. Luckily, for us, we didn't wait very long for our food. The poor lad who looked after us was a bit frantic and didn't fill me with much confidence that he'd put our order through correctly. Unsurprisingly, he forgot the dirty fries on my flatbread upgrade and he put through the BBQ chicken burger instead of the BBQ chicken pizza. However, everything was delicious and everyone we encountered were friendly and handled what was a difficult shift for them, including the young lad that took our order, he was lovely, he just needs more training/experience. Will definitely return, had a great time and the prices are extremely reasonable.
Great cocktails and food, loved spinning the wheel! Lovely designed multiple bar/dining choices and outdoor area. Staff were very helpful and engaged in your personal experience. Wish it was more accessible but worth the stay when you do!
First time I've been here and was pleasantly surprised in a good way the place is separated into various parts with a tex mex and tropical theme. The choice is quite extensive from afternoon tea, surf and turf, tapas and street food. I was in the Wildernest restaurant Where we ordered the Share and tare platter and followed by classic burger and homemade chunky chips, this was reasonably priced (for the 3 of us around £46.00) The food was delicious and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. With the help of happy hour we saved on our drinks. I would definitely recommend Liberty Brown and would look at their website as they have various entertainment on.
Always happy to help decorating this place, such a lovely venue. Julie's Unique Creations. *Birthday Balloons *Hen party balloons
One of the best dinner ive ate in a long time! service great and food mouth watering ! ill be back 😁
Really nice setting great view of the Spire Bridge. The food was amazing I had the pan seared sea bass on the superfood salad. Sea bass was cooked to perfection and the salad was really fresh.
Was seated immediately after booking online a couple of hours before and taken to a very picturesque area of a well decorated restaurant. Service was snappy and polite with the food being on the reasonable side of pricing, cocktails perhaps a bit steep but for the speciality of them (have a look on the website) it's well worth it. Found it really easy to relax and unwind there. The squid ring starters are gorgeous, and the steak, although a small meal, still delicious. Parking a bit confusing at night but plenty of spaces when I arrived. Sanitisation throughout, temperature check and NHS check-in upon arrival. Paid £60 for two people, starters, mains and about 4/5 drinks which isn't too bad considering how nice the place was. Definitely revisit
4 drinks , 2 adult meals and kids meal. Tasted amazing. Great decor, fun mocktails 37.50!
Surf n turf with a trough of beef dripping gravy 🙌🏼 Best meal I’ve had all week around here, every part was absolute flavour town👌🏼
Great food and good for drinks and staff Nikki and Sarah were great would recommend anyone too try this place out
Fantastic place well worth a visit. Coffee ok but a bit weak cups are small just like my school report could be better.
Brilliant time here on a bank holiday sunday, can't wait for another visit
Lovely food, the best cocktails, realy nice place
Excellent food and great staff Spent all week in the premier Inn next door. One of our group came here a few weeks ago and said it was poor but we all ate here all week despite being asked to go elsewhere by one of the group. The food was excellent and the drink were cheap during the happy hour. Jess our waitress was excellent she was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside was on the Wednesday the young girl behind the bar was more interested in talking to people at the bar and wasn't ringing things in the till properly so when the bill came it was about 15 pounds out and not in my favour. Apart from that everything was excellent. Keep it up.
The Sunday lunch is amazing, one of the best I've had. Happily accommodated a dairy allergy. Friendly staff. Only slight negative is the dark decor, not enough to deduct a star.
Been to Liberty Brown twice now, great atmosphere, menu covers pasta, pizzas, burgers and more. Has and excellent drinks menu on offer. Service was great, didn’t pre book but we were seated straight away, drinks and food arrived quickly after ordering. We would definitely go back.
Food was amazing with friendly and helpful staff All guidelines for social distancing where in place which was very reassuring. The menu was excellent and we didn't mind a bit if it was slightly changed for the eat out campaign The Katsun chicken curry was recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint. A great place to eat out and will definitely come back
This place doesn't look great from the outside but when you get in it is really nice. The Sunday roast looked as good as it tasted a big 5 stars, as were the cocktails although they were a tad on the expensive side. Definitely worth a visit
Booked for party of 12. Excellent friendly service from all staff made sure we had everything we needed. All meals presented well and cooked to perfection. Even arranged to bring surprise cake to table with added sparkler and candles + complimentary drink for recipient. Highly recommended.
Lovely lunchtime selection - about ten tables in on a Friday lunchtime so quiet but with a nice atmosphere. Pizza and Mexican platter to share between two which was tasty and served quickly by very attentive, friendly staff. Quite expensive but lovely decor, motown-type music, comfortable dining booths that felt private and I couldn't fault the service. You get what you pay for :-)
Great food and a great atmosphere. The staff were friendly too. I did try to pay using their website and the table number but the phone signal for my wife and I wasn’t great within the building, I’m guessing that’s either our network or the retail in general
Lovely night celebrating my nieces birthday, the staff couldn't have been nicer, big shout out to Steph for looking after us, first class service!!❤️💪🏻
First time visit! Sunday trio of meats was delicious! Probably one of the best yorkshire puddings ive ever had. Lovely place and decor and atmosphere. Only downers were vegetables slightly undercooked otherwise would of been perfect meal.
Interesting decor quirky place lovely roof terrace food nice the staff were very attentive
Haven't been in quite sometime but was a enjoyable one. Was only put off with the reminder that we could only stay til 6 even though at 6 it was not even half packed and children had free run of the place running around. Food was good, Better than doing it at home but felt like we didn't enjoy it as much due to feeling rushed. Thou portion sizes are slightly smaller than usual but during the sunderland restaurant week set menu we were unsure if it would be due to that
Good food good drinks. Cocktails pricey but they do deals
Visited Saturday 11th June for my birthday, staff was lovely and very helpful. Food was beautiful, nothing was a bother and the range of cocktails was brilliant. We enjoyed it that much we returned the next day for our Sunday lunch. Again staff was great, food beautiful. Only thing was tipping - you can't tip on a card payment as it doesn't get given to the staff. Unfortunately we had no cash on us so when the lady is on next time we're in we'll make a point of taking some cash.
Brilliant food, Ordered some food to take back to the premier inn next door. Very quick and wrapped up well to keep it hot. Would 100% recommend a stop off if your in the area, 5 star service, the little ones loved it as well. Will definitely be back for multiple visits. Cannot complain at the price either. Cheap as chips.
Food was amazing! Service was lacking a little, soft drinks were flat when replaced with different soft drinks they were no better. There was two wait staff who were obviously busy as there was about 6 maybe 7 tables of diners and they were making drinks, running drinks, food, cutlery, sauces and clearing with that in mind it didn't leave them much time to to talk to customers (never been here before so don't know if that's there general rapport) also answering the phone which never stopped ringing bit irritating over the sound of the back ground music but obviously a great sign. Covid regs they looked like they were smashing, definitely a great effort which is clearly visible when entering and inside the venue.
Great service on Saturday 4pm. The place is quiet so food came quick. My chicken burger was fantastic if not a little greasy. Wifey says there was too much basil on the pizza but she's crazy so don't mind her, I thought it was lush.
This place is quirky, the decor, the team, and the guests. The food was okay, but don't go for that, my dinner was okay. I definitely gave extra stars for the free entertainment. There is something on the cocktail menu called Swimming Lemonade involving a zip lock bag in a Gin glass with jelly fish. I was 😂 at the bar teams explaining this. You will have a laugh.
This was our first visit here we chose this place as it was on our rout home. The venue itself is quite nice we ended up in the upstairs seating area we sat in one of the booths next the window which was next to the outside deck.which had the tables for those who smoked .not good if breezy . The food and drink was quite varied price wise depending on what you have it ranged from reasonable to pricy . The food we had was very nice service was good like one of the other reviews on here said a smile works wonders . As a venue would I use this for a place to take friends or family members I would have to say yes,I am glad to say for once I could hear myself think the music was there but in the background. I'll go back again
Variable, occasionally tasty portions of fish, steak and burgers, however on our last visit these were overcooked or gristly (fillet) and dry and previously the pulled pork & Jamaican kebabs were very poor, with little taste (neither had any special coleslaw as per menu), no taste of rum or burnt sugar in pulled pork; mince and dumplings were also very greasy with little meat and much too herby and the cheddar mash unfortunately tasteless just like rehydrated dry mash mix, drinks were also a bit pricey...eg Neck oil £5.70 a pint!. Service was also very slow with drinks arriving 30mins after ordering and plates not removed from table between courses. Uninspiring outside, however good atmosphere inside, with mainly 70s background music complimenting rustic modern feel. Just be careful what you choose from the menu!
Nice enough setting but found food over priced for the quality. This sharing board was £18... Paid much less for much more in other venues.
Drinks downstairs to start with my wife, good atmosphere and good music, excellent selection of cocktails which are works of art, I personally do not drink and they had a choice of AF beer which was great, however the DJ then chose to turn the music up exponentially which was surprising considering there was approximately 15 people present. It was that loud my wife and I couldn't even converse, other couples were trying to move out of the ear shot of the music but to the venues credit the sound system is too good and too well placed. We then moved upstairs to eat, placed on a table which was smack in the middle of the restaurant with everyone sitting around the outside, felt like a bull ring, the table was unstable as well as the chairs, the menu looked amazing but we decided to leave as we were uncomfortable. Great decor inside and great concept.
This was my first visit after wanting to go and hearing many good things. This is my kind of food which I really enjoyed. I went just before Christmas so it was quite busy with office parties. The place is well done out and is immaculately clean. As much as I enjoyed it, I felt it was overpriced for what was a quick afternoon bite to eat. Might have been something to do with the cocktails the other half was drinking though.
I think this is a venue that may have been impacted by hybrid working, as it is located on a business park. Even though we had a table booked, we thought it was closed when we arrived. Don't make your choices based on the online menu as it was a different menu when we arrived and had to reselect. The food was good as was the service.
Well known in the area...by day..the upstairs eating area was open plan with various seating area and booths . Menu was fairly good with a decent assortment for a lunch menu. Music noise was a bit of a problem , if you want a quieter atmosphere.. Ser vice was quick , but our order taker lacked a smile. Delivery, Presentation and taste was all good , and yes I'd go again.
Staff are generally friendly. However, on both my visits I found that I could walk to the local shops and get a drink faster. And I have mobility issues. My boys however enjoyed their pizza but on our last visit we practically felt thrown out because the restaurant was busy and again our drinks failed to arrive. Hence, we left rather disappointed.
Food was great and the Sunday menu 3 course was great value. Just the service was a bit disorientated having to wait for food..I had my main out of 5 of us but other 4 waited extra half hour. Manager apologised and said he would pop back and see us,but never did.
The waitress who served us was extremely friendly and we had a laugh whilst she was taking our orders. However, the wait time between ordering drinks and receiving the drinks had more delays than the A1 in rush hour. The food was good and competitively priced with big portions. I wouldn't fault the food or the drinks (once they arrived) but the excessive wait times negatively impacted our meal, especially as the restaurant did not appear to be busy and no warning was given that we would have to wait a while.
Food good…service was terrible. 40 minute wait for drinks and our finished plates waited on the table for around 30. Three waitresses (one looking like management) walked straight past them and left them. No one seemed to care. If you come on a Saturday be prepared to wait
Disaster from the outset! I could write a novel but I'll keep it short. The reservation my other half had made for my birthday had been written on the wrong date, the manager tried to be helpful and advised a booth would be made up if we could wait a short while, however 30 minutes later we were directed to a very stuffy table in the centre of the restaurant to be told we needed to leave within an hour and a half as the table was booked. We felt rushed throughout, when our drinks were empty the waitress collected the glasses but didn't ask if we wanted another, instead of been asked if we would like to see a desserts menu we were asked if we would like the bill, this was 30 minutes before we needed to 'leave'. I have received better service in my local pub. I've waited a long time to have a meal here and was really excited when my OH booked here, it was a huge disappointment to both of us. We won't be returning and suggest if you want to have a special occasion meal not to either!
Booked as a part of a group of 27 including 10 children. We pre-ordered the food a month before arrival. Our table was booked for 17:30, food did not starts arriving until 18:47. Despite watching everyone getting their food on other tables. When I went up to ask, I got a rude ‘what do you expect for a large party’. I expected to start having food arrive at our table after arrival as it was pre-ordered as requested. Myself and my daughter didn’t get our order, as a result ended up eating pizza from others, as we needed to leave for the England match. We had to cancel dessert and leave as it was 19:15 by the time mains were served up for the most and had to be rushed. Nobody came at any point to check on the party and ask if anything was needed. We were constantly having to get up and ask. The rude service was something else. As a result we missed 20 minutes of the first half of the football match. What was meant to be an enjoyable and relaxed evening out for my daughter’s football team, ended up stressful and buying snacks to fill the kids.
I'm not a fan of this place, we might have caught them on a bad day but we tried it and won't go back. The place and atmosphere I have to say is good, it's clean and the table we sat at was big enough for our party What let the place down was the food. It's expensive for what it is. We waited over 3/4 of an hour for our food half of which arrived cold and inedible. The other half was over cooked but at least warm. We sent back two sets of fish and chips 3 times before it was brought out fit enough to eat. The staff were helpful and did try to put things right, however, we came away disappointed. We went on a Monday night and the place wasn't that busy so really there should have been no excuse
