We always get the burritos and this time we were surprised that they are actually getting bigger! The taste and ingredients are still fresh, it’s the best deal around and not a bad view.
This location is a small building in the center of Northport Beach. The food was incredibly full of color, flavor, spices and variety of proteins combinations. You must stop here to enjoy great food. An FYI, You do have to pay for parking in order to eat at this location.
This is my go-to lunch spot during Newport Beach and Orange County Restaurant Week for the last three years. I always get the Buffalo Cauliflower as a side. To me, everything else around it is a side. If this is your first time, I suggest starting with the pork. They do have a veggie option for those who don't want meat. During Restaurant Week, the meal costs $10. The entree comes with chips, one other side and a craft soda. They have outside and outside seating that is covered with heaters. Public restrooms are about 50 yards away. Parking is not a problem during a weekday lunch hour. You suppose to pay for parking, but I never have since the parking lot is wide open and I am guessing not patrolled since there is no one here during this time of day.
Bomb food! The Chilaquiles were so lit I didn't even take a pic. Devoured it. We then took on this beautiful burrito. Crispy potatoes and eggs that don't crumble out and make a disaster. Crisp smoky bacon and avocado. So much flavor in these dishes. Can't wait to eat it again tomorrow! **post edit** closed on mondays all day, closed Tuesday breakfast... boo!!
The lobster roll was delicious!! Rivals New England! Fresh made bun grilled to perfection and delicious fresh lobster. The chips were delicious too. Friendly service, great setting!
Had the shrimp roll and Banh Mi sandwiches... BOMB! Great food and great service with lots of enthusiasm and kindness. Thank you!
Best Tuna melt I’ve ever had! Fresh albacore tuna, sat in the sun by the beach on a Friday in February! Loved this place
Great lunch spot on Main Beach in Cdm. Had a wicked steak sandwich. Looks like a typical snack shack but whoever is cooking has real talent! We will be back!

Amazing food! Definitely making the 1hr drive for that Mahi burger!
Great food and super friendly staff. Great place to eat lunch!
Love that it's right off the beach. Great beach and place to eat for families
Good food, serve breakfast until about 11am...try the Viet banh mi sandwich!
Best chowder this side of Boston! But with much nicer views. 😌
Had the best Brussels Sprouts dish at the beach front snack shack!!!!
Not too many places that serves cauliflower the right way... but this places buffalo cauliflower hit the spot.
My Favorite secret place(^^) I don't want tell everybody...But here is too good for keep secret .

Delicious lobster roll and potato chips.
Closed 17 Dec - 2nd January 2019 :-(
The buffalo cauliflower is amazing!
Delicious food on the beach! I had the chicken club and it comes with chips. The bread is toasted and the sauce makes the sandwich. But the bacon was the best. I also recommend the fries and corn!!!
Aly was the nicest person there's served me. I had to write a review because she is a shining light. Thank you for being so kind and genuine and personable. The food was really good too.
Great food and drinks.
Probably the best tasting food in Orange County as far as produce, quality ingredients and creative dish ideas goes. Just go there once, pick whatever, and become a fan.
Born and raised in the Philly area . The cheese steak is amazing. Glad the don't call it a Philly. Waygu hot dog was great. Chips are amazing
This place is awesome they have wonderful food here we usually go to Corona Del Mar Beach this is our spot and this is where we eat all the time wonderful food when you don't bring any food awesome keep up the good work
Great tasting food for pretty decent prices. This place is located right on Corona Del Mar State Beach. Great staff also!
Chicharrones smothered in New England clam chowder and several other interesting beach snacks here. Indoor patio for dining. Very close to the beach and huge parking lots. Convenient but pricey.
Good place to eat at with your family! They’re really nice and overall great cooking!
Very clean…food is amazing (definitely beach mood food😃)…employees are wonderful and courteous. Highly recommended
The pork belly always hits the spot. This is my spot when I take a lunch from work. Gotta have it. Never fails. Second favorite is the cali cheese steak
What can I say besides the fact that I’m here every time I come to this area and even when I’m not close I still love to come here to get conscious people real food made with love and to see a impeccable view … if you haven’t been here than get off your lazy but and live a little
Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had!! Unreal
Fabulous food in a wonderful setting. Overall excellent experience. Thank you for being open!!!
Delicious Food right by One of the Most Beautiful Beaches on the Southern California Coast.
Delicious food. Great service. Love these guys. Wes 🙏🏻
The tastiest sandwiches ever. Fresh ingredients and miles away from unhealthy..Delicious..and on the beach.
Great beach corn and buffalo califlour was something I had never heard of and that was good too!
Honestly best food I've ever tried, buffalo cauliflower bites are TO DIE FOR and the french fries?? Delicious!! Perfect combo with the best ranch around too! I just wish they were open weekdays still💔
I drive down every other weekend from pico rivera. Food is amazing. Cali cheese steak, tuna melt, and veggie burger and Buffalo cauliflower are super favorable. You will be impressed by the food and is no doubt why this place is a popular local spot.
Excellent hamburgers and fries! Cooked fresh, and have tables to sit at. Located on the Corona del Mar beach, next to parking lot. Very casual. We loved it! Friendly, good prices. Highly recommend.
Surprisingly these people make great food. They have a great attitude too. Located at the edge of the sand at Corona Del Mar State Beach. The beach now permits parking by the hour. This is a great improvement now we can visit for short periods of time. Like taking a walk. Well done City of Newport Beach.
Truly exceptional food with NO frills. Very casual. Quintessential beach snack bar, only in California do you get quality food like this at a snack bar. Highlights were the shimp roll and buffalo cauliflower. Go and go back often
Honestly the corn sucked but the tender were so good juicy and crisp, the beach dog was 10/10 believe it or not and the chips were real potato chips. Don’t get the corn didn’t try the burger
Good food and great spot. Warm and welcoming guy that works there. Can't beat the spot right next to the sand.
The Jetty is a gem of a beach shack. Please don't get it confused with the "concessions" counter on the opposite side of the building, that is NOT the Jetty. There are negative reviews on here from people who are confusing this place with the concessions counter. I make the trip to Corona Del Mar frequently for the Sunrise Burger and Buffalo Cauliflower. Their food is consistently fresh and definitely unique for beach food. Their homemade chips are crave worthy, and don't get me started on their delicious brownies! Super friendly staff too. Definitely a must visit for anyone heading to Newport.
We came here twice in one week...once for lunch and once for breakfast, and we were thrilled with our food, service, and price. The first day we had the Jetty Burger and the Tuna Melt. One of us had the homemade chips as a side, and the other the potato salad...YUMMY! This morning we had the breakfast burrito with bacon, and the Breakfast Burger with bacon. Both were the bomb!

Pepper sauce was outstanding!
Well recommended for those who like this style of eating . Friendly staff
Great spot, good food, wonderful service!
Very friendly and vet expensive. But when you buy food at the beach, you are going to pay
The service was awesome and tbe beach corn was fantastic. Their homemade chips are good. The burgers are okay, nothing to rave about, especially for the price.
Great food. Kinda pricey. New to add some sort of hot dog so we cqn all so lunch.
Really good food, usually. They run out of simple components like Avo and menu items.
Casual beach food on the pricier side. Cannot beat the location after a beach dive. Food is freshly prepared.

Great olace for lunch
Disappointed every time I come here they close before the time it says on the website. I came today at 3:30 and they were closed at 4 when they’re website says 5.
I don't recall and there but it must have been nice
I thought the food was just alright. Overpriced as well
Nothing fancy but it does what it promises: sell food at the beach 😎
Decent fries and bar food on the beach. Nothing fancy. But a good selection to choose from if you want hot food.
Really wanted to try this place but came at 2pm and closed. Ur site says till 3pm.
The food was overpriced, and of low quality. Breakfast burrito was a tortilla with super hard scrambled eggs, and a strip of Costco bacon. Definitely not worth the money.
THERE IS USUALLY A LINE, BUT ITS ALL TOURISTS, WHO DIDNT HAVE THE SENSE TO EAT ELSEWHERE. ITS OVERPRICED BY A TON, THE WAIT IS EXCRUCIATING, AND THE FOOD IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO WORTH THE WAIT OR MONEY.
[not recommended] - too risky, may show up with nothing open or no food. Inaccurate information and hours, the staff tell you if it’s open or what they’re serving - this doesn’t match what’s online. Don’t risk it like we did and then end up driving back up the hill.

So disappointed, I ordered nachos, menu said shredded and nacho cheese. I asked for just shredded, the young man that handed them to me said the shredded cheese was just for garnish. $11.50, not worth it. Splurge on some cheese Newport.

Working hours may be extended
Closed until May 2020
Staff is helpful and very friendly. Food objectively sucks however, which is a double whammy given the price. We ordered chicken fingers for the whole family one of the cheaper entrees available). They weren’t good and the fries were inedible give the amount of salt on them. At the end of the day this business is based on convenience for beach goers who didn’t bring food and don’t want to leave given the zoo that is the parking lot. So if you’re going to the beach, pack your own food or be prepared to pay $70 minimum to feed your family. Again, the staff was very nice however.
The woman at the register added a tip and signed for me without my permission or knowledge. Since she did not offer a receipt, she probably thought I would never notice, but Square automatically sent the receipt to my email. When I asked her about it, she said the system sometimes "adds charges." Don't trust them with your money.
Went at 1:20pm on a Friday afternoon. Tried knocking and nobody responded. No sign or anything saying they were gone or would be back.
Hours are wrong on google, only open Saturday and Sunday. Wasted journey !
Drove 35 mins and spent $20 on parking just to find out they like to close before 3pm some days. Between 1pm and 3pm, said the staff. It's 1:30pm and my time and money has been wasted trying to patron this place. Do not advertise hours as such if you cannot abide by them. Sadly no food nearby either so just a bad situation for someone who couldn't possibly know they were not open.
These people were so rude. Started yelling at us because we were sitting on the benches, we did not know there was no sign or nothing. I mentioned no problem, I will buy something. Then out of no where this asian man started yelling at us (mind you we were a group of women) and the rage in his eyes was terrifying. I would not give them my money ever, especially if a man (sorry boy because a man would never) treats women like that.
It shows on their website they are open every day. We picked this beach for the fact we could get a variety of food. It was open with a limited menu with very sub par expensive food. Definitely not worth eating there a skip for sure
Absolutely disrespectful Asian American man that works here. My special needs son was impulsive and ran into the employee entrance and I was two seconds behind him getting him out. The man was screaming foul language at my 7 year old son, absolute disgrace.
I don’t believe it’s the Tackle Box anymore in spite of the same menu being offered. We spent the day at the beach and ordered lunch from the CDM Beach Shack and was extremely disappointed. We ordered chicken strips and fries, a hot dog, corn and the Buffalo cauliflower. In the past the corn and cauliflower were really good, but I was so disappointed today. It was busy and was quoted a wait time of 15-20 minutes for our food, but it ended up being 35 minutes. The corn I received was really cold and lacked the char the corn normally has. It was slathered in something but it was not cojito cheese. The Buffalo cauliflower which is deep fried was burnt on the outside but the cauliflower was soft and mushy. They got the chicken tenders and fries right so if that’s what you’re looking for, it’s a safe choice. Otherwise, I would skip getting food here and bring my own. We definitely miss the food the Tackle Box produced.
