This place is really fantastic… the food and service are top notch. If I lived in Dallas I’d be visiting weekly. The homemade bread and butter they serve as a pre-appetizer is crazy good. The people working here are super nice and welcoming. Thanks a great meal.
Great unrushed service and genuine food, in a very calm atmosphere. Tried different appetizers and mains, all delicious. I did travel quite a bit and their baklava are definitely the best I have ever had in US.
My dad and I have always enjoy finding new restaurants to try. He lives in New York for years so it's hard to compete with Dallas but I took him here when he came to visit and we had just a wonderful time. The volume was low so we were able to talk, I went with the chicken shawarma and he had the lamb chop. It was some of the best chicken shawarma I've ever had but I actually was jealous of his lamb chops they were just absolutely to die for. Will be sure and make another trip there, I was so full but it looked like they had a Turkish flan that I really would have liked to eat but I don't think I could have gotten it in me. I have no doubt it's worth trying though.
Very good food, made with care. Especially liked the hand-rolled dolmas (all too often seems like places just use ones 'from a can', sub-par and with too much oil). Tzaziki was well made. Rice and bread were great. Inside is a nice atmosphere as well. I'd recommend this place.
I don’t usually do food reviews unless a place is unusually good. I give this place six stars out of five! Sorry I don’t have photos - I’m old! I had the Chef’s special with beef a side of sautéed veggies, and a beer. Besides being beautiful to look at, the entree was excellent. The beef was tender and the savory sauce nicely complemented the beef. The vegetables were perfect. The service was good and attentive. This place deserves more attention. In addition, the place is very reasonable. This place is great. I wish there was something like it near my home.
Hidden gem. Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life. We got two dinner plates, and appetizer and dessert for $60. 😋 Great ambiance without the hefty price tag to match. The staff was working hard in there, too.
We got a shared family style meal and the majority of the items were delicious. They have some of the best hummus I've ever tasted and the bread that they served at the beginning of the meal was amazing. The fire grilled vegetables were absolutely delicious and I wish that there were more of them served with this dish. I particularly enjoyed the kebab. Unfortunately the gyro which was provided in tiny slices was very dry. All of the sauces that were presented were fabulous. Since everything else tasted so good I believe that the gyro might be a one-off, don't let that one thing to sway you from visiting, it was an excellent experience overall.
Ephesus is a great Mediterranean restaurant. Our experience there was fantastic! Food is freshly prepared, hot and flavorful. I think its location next to the grocery store may mistakenly take away its appeal. Once inside though, the place feels and looks very classy and clean. It is nicely decorated and well attended. The atmosphere is very inviting and pleasant. After you are seated, you are almost immediately served with a basket of freshly baked bread that is hot and fluffy and goes so well with flavored butter. The hot tea is absolutely delicious, presented in classic Turkish glasses. When you ask for refills they literally make a fresh batch and serve it super-hot and fresh every time. Calf’s liver as a hot appetizer was delicious and was served with tomato salad that complemented it very well. Zucchini pancakes were super fresh and crispy served with delicious tzatziki and vegetable salad. Chicken kebab was very flavorful, tender and juicy. There is a vegetable casserole on the menu, but it is actually a vegetable stew, something resembling ratatouille, but cooked with Mediterranean spices. It was marvelous with rice pilaf. Chef’s special is a beautiful plate of chicken kebab topped with shoe-string potatoes. French fries as a side were super fresh and delicious as well. We also splurged on baklava, and it was very good, especially with fresh hot tea. I am very glad that we have found this delightful restaurant! Highly recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for Mediterranean food, or just quality food in general.
They have a very nice environment. You will be surprised after entering there. Also, they serve complementary buns that also taste good. The restroom is super clean. I tasted their family dish and that is quite good for at least 4/5 peoples. In that plater they will serve 4/5 types of kabab and rice and a plane porata. Overall I loved their places and dishes. I would love to visit them when I come to Dallas.
DELICIOUS!!! I came here with 0 expectations and the food went above and beyond. We got the baked feta as appetizer, the lamb and chicken as the main course and one delicious dessert. Everything tasted delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and I’m satisfied with the overall experience.
I found a new favorite dish! Their fried goat cheese appetizer was deliciously creamy. I would come back for that alone. The dish I ordered was great too. I'm not a huge fan of lamb, but I still finished the dish because it was great. It was a quiet afternoon, so I got excellent, attentive service. The place has a great atmosphere, cute and classy.
Second time I've been here and it was as good as the first time. I went here with my fiancee and it was a perfect spot for a nice 1on1 dinner. Ambience is good, was a little busy but we were able to be seated quickly. Turkish food! The complimentary bread rolls are amazing, but the chili oil butter takes it over the top. We got the feta rolls, which were also crispy and great. Pita is $1 per whole piece. I got the Her Majesty Special, and my fiancee got the Lamb Kebab. The Her Majesty Special was very flavorful but to be honest, a little too much for me. It was a bit salty and a bit of a chore to finish. But the lamb kebabs were great. Everything you would want. The wait for food was long, but the waiters were great and apologized multiple times and gave us complimentary tea. The baklava was on point too. 5/5 would definitely recommend.
Top 5 restaurants in Dallas Pros: - Affordable luxury - Authentic flavor - Attentive service - Relaxing atmosphere - Large portions - Thoughtful menu - Clean and spacious seating - Easily accommodated large group - Fast order to table time - Fresh ingredients and spices - Elegant presentation Cons: - A brief slip where the music changed suddenly, and was quickly fixed. - A little dark for the older patrons in our party, maybe include fake candles on the tables? This is exactly how a restaurant should operate. I highly encourage you to dine here before it gets the attention it deserves. Truly a gem. I will be dining here again soon, and often. The Greek Moussaka was my favorite of all the dishes we had, and the chef special was incredible as well.
Really high quality food. Recently they started skimping on the protein. I tip a minimum of $20 and order large meals, and have done so every time I went. I have ordered double the amount for things and only got a little over one serving of the protein. And because of that, I will not return.
Very cute old time vibes Turkish restaurant. Went here Sunday evening, it was mostly quiet with Turkish music playing and had a romantic vibe to it. The fresh pita bread was delicious. We also got the hummus, fried goat cheese and falafel platter. It was a little under-seasoned for my taste but delicious food nonetheless.
Had their Ephesus platter . If you want to have a taste of everything this is the dish for you . It has kebabs , salads , their pies. Pies are fresh baked from oven. Their starter bread are fluffy . Their kebabs are juicy except pine which was dry. And in the patter the bottom pita bread was soaked in the juices . So that’s a bonus treat.
Free bread that was served and that was really very delicious !! We ordered the grape leaves which tbh could have been better. The veg falafel was good! And we ordered chicken shwarma which was again good ! Interesting chicken shawarma extremely thin slices served with rice and veggies! Waiter staff wasn't really pleasant to talk to but they are quick with service! Perhaps a smile and thank you or you're welcome could go a long way:)
