The drinks are good, and they make a really good French dip sammich
Cozy little cafe! Everything about this place is just wonderful. The food is always fresh and there is a great variety to choose from. The drinks are amazing! From coffees to milkshakes, these people definitely know their stuff!
This place is fire. You want some good coffee not that watered down b.s. come to Jitters. Want a peanut butter cookie thats delicious, Jitters. Want a breakfast cabbiata with ham. Delicious! Super friendly and funny to watch them put my credit card with no chip into the chip reader for 5 min. Lol Everytime. 10/10
Nice outdoor area to enjoy your coffee. The barista knows our order as we walk in....even if we havent been in awhile. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.
This is a great cafe. The food is always delicious as well as the coffee and other drinks.
I got a raspberry pineapple smoothie and the buffalo chicken hot ciabatta and both were out of this world good. I'll definitely be coming back and think this place will be a staple for me
Iced chai extra spicy with oat milk and whipped cream is every single thing….❤️staff are lovely, too!
What a gem! Best hot chocolate in the 585. Emily is such a pleasure and the customer service is top notch. I really like the food here.
Food is awesome. It is usually a bit of a wait for it though.
Love the food here- very good and big salads. Coffee is great. Sometimes a wait to get a seat but not long at all.
Love this place! Go here every weekend and it never disappoints. Would HIGHLY recommend trying their homemade ciabatta. It’s to die for!
This is by far my favorite coffee shop in Rochester. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING they sell is made right here on premises & it is delicious! The staff here is pretty awesome too!
Best coffee drinks for miles everytime we come to visit we stop both mornings for coffee and I don't drink coffee
10/10 AMAZING! If it's served hot, I will be HOT, and if it's meant to be cold, it'll be freezing! Always great service, food, and hospitality. Very clean inside, not noisy at all.
This is our new spot for dinner before a class we attend close by. Food is yummy and affordable. Chocolate Croissants and coffee also very good. Like that they close later in evening rather than some local franchises that close early.
I get their bags of flavored beans as a gift for my mother-in-law for Christmas and her birthday, she loves them! They make a mean sandwich too, though a bit pricey. And who can turn their nose at the infinite flavor combos for their milkshakes?
Awesome! Visited 9/11 at 630 and both female staff were hardworking, food was delicious and fast, prices were good! Greek salad, French dip, buffalo chicken sandwich ALL 3 WERE EXCELLENT!! 👌
Stopped by while doing a business networking lunch, the Philly was great and the coffee was on point. I loved how well designed the flow moves and how it wasn't noisy even with a fair number of people in and out.
Cool little coffee place with some food options. Indoor and outdoor seating. I only ordered a coffee, no food. I was able to order on an ipad and pick everything I wanted, very easy to use.
AMAZING food & service! Our go to spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Reasonably priced & staff is wonderful as well! Great to see such friendly faces and happy workers- especially in todays crazy world! 10/10 recommend!!
Food (roast beef sandwiches) was very good. Counter ordering is a little awkward, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will likely be back soon.
Unfortunately food was so good, kids, and I didn't have a chance to waste to take photos. The chicken was perfect, NOT dry and tasteless. Oh and the coffee 👌
The coffee is really good and the staff there are great(I know, I know it's all about the staff for me...lol). I'd only been going there a month when they had remembered my order and made it for me in a hurry especially if it was getting close to 8:30 :) Their food looks and smells good but I have eaten there yet.
North Chili’s finest. Freshly roasted and brewed coffee. Plenty of delicious food options from breakfast to lunch to dessert. Quiet enough of a place generally to do work or chat with friends. Love this place. Great place to meet up or be alone.
I absolutely LOVE Jitters. Their scratch made Cibatta and croissants are to die for, even just plain and toasted, and their sandwiches only further enhance the deliciousness. The french dip is 👌🏼 Their coffee is always good and their Chai is phenomenal.
Cheerful spot with tempting variety of sandwich & salad selection for lunch on a summer day! Enjoyed a delightful albacore tuna salad sandwich on a buttery crescent. Expansive choice of coffee & tea beverages. Desserts looked enticing - plan to visit for a coffee and dessert soon!
Jitters continues to be a phenomenal place to go, even during pandemic! The patio is set up for coffee and a chat there in the sun with plenty of space and shade. However, there is always the option to take the food and beverages to go. The staff continue to be an awesome experience, working with both personality and professionalism, and, of course preventive measures!
I'd choose this local coffee shop over any chain shop. Their prices and quality are better than Starbucks or Gloria Jean's. The baristas are very friendly and attentive. Plus, their chocolate dipped croissants are to DIE FOR!
So so yummy. We don't even live too close to this place but happened to be in the area..... we will definitely be back!!!! 🤤
Stopped into Jitters for the first time (passed a few separate locations several times, but never went in) and both the girls working there were very helpful with figuring what drink I would like and made sure I was satisfied before leaving. Didn't try any food, but the menu looked interesting.
Was a great experience because of the polite and very quick service. The food I ordered was fresh and well prepared. The entire restaurant is clean and well maintained. Prices were much better than other eateries serving similar food.
Small, but the booths are roomy and comfortable. Outside seating in nice weather, friendly staff, clean and decent parking. Close to a college campus. Originally built as a store and then converted to the N. Chili Post Office. Looks like it just had a redo in seating and wallpaper. More open, tables can be pulled together. Food is good, drinks were good, crowded on a Sunday. Locally owned. They added a nice covered roof in front to drink and eat outside.
Always drove by this place as we live just off Buffalo road but never stopped. Two weeks ago my wife gave birth to our first child and our doctor is also off Buffalo road. On the way home from appointments we wanted something new so stopped. Today was our third time stopping after appointments. Wish we would have stopped sooner as its everything that I would want in a small local coffee shop. Great atmosphere, amazing service and good food. Every time we have a stopped a young man has made our drinks and knocked it out of the park every time. Today got the Bayou Bomber and the Mint Chocolate Frappe (I asked for this from one of the reviews on here), wife got bacon breakfast sandwich with fruit refresher. Highly recommend the hot chocolate, the Bayou Bomber and Mint Chocolate Frappe. Drive by Dunkin & Tim Horton's and stop here if you want some good food and drinks that will give you a pick up but no Jitters lol.
Delicious croissant sandwiches, Very fresh! Latte's are really good too! Variety of healthy food selections. Friendly Employees too!
In Rochester for a day trip and I found this place on google. Glad I stopped by! Their sandwiches are great and their croissants and baked goods are very fresh and made in-house! They also have great Frozen drinks, milkshakes etc. Hope I'm back in the area and get to try it again.
I was so hungry i forgot to take a picture! It was amazing. I had ordered the albacore tuna. It was on a croissant that was fresh and perfectly flaky and buttery! The croissant was large and filled to the brim. The albacore was light, fresh and still very cold when it arrived. The tomato and lettuce were very fresh. It's scary ordering tuna, but this was great! The coffee is always great from jitters. I've never had a bad coffee from here. I ordered a chocolate mint latte with extra espresso shots. Delicious ♡ super fast delivery through the Grubhub app. Great experience overall. 👍👍 2 thumbs up 😀
The people are great they’re always awesome food and great service. Timely as well, always treated with respect and kindness. Id recommend this place to anybody who wants a quick bite to eat. Keep it up guys!
It was my first time at Jitters Cafe. I had the French Dip sandwich. It was good. I would visit again.
Today is a special day as I celebrated 2 of my son's birthdays. One of them has special needs. His favorite TV show is: THE FLASH⚡️ For those that don't know... in the show they like to go to a little Cafe named... JITTERS. My son whom has a disability saw on line that we have a little coffee shop just outside of Rochester that is also named JITTERS! For a year now he has been asking to come here, so today we surprised him. This little coffee shop not only has amazing food and drinks but the staff were sooo kind and sweet! Apon a very special request ( I knew it was not something they normally do!) I asked if they could sing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my boys? After things slowed down to of the young ladies that was working came to our table and began to sing! THIS MENT THE WORLD TO MY SON! IT REALLY MADE HIS DAY EXTRA SPECIAL THANK YOU JITTERS!
We were looking for a place besides your big chains for a good coffee drink and a quick bite. Came here and found exactly what we wanted. Cheddar maple sandwich and the South western get 2 thumbs up. I also liked that they had many flavors to really customize your drink.
My daughter loves their oatmeal cookies, and this location is convenient for both me and my wife to stop at before or after work, or while getting ready for a long road trip. The employees are always friendly, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. It's a wonderful place to sit and have a drink and unwind on a weekend, in the middle of errands.
I went into jitters to get a simple lunch with a cookie and the food was amazing and Ava went out of her way to warm up a “sold out” chocolate crinkle. It was frozen and she took the time to put it in the oven. It’s rare in 2022 to find someone that cares enough to provide customer service and go out of their way to take make sure the customer is happy. Ava is a big asset to Jitters and just wanted to say thank you for the excellent service.
I love this little jitters cafe, it has such a small town feel to it and I have never got a drink I did not like!! The boy at the register is there nearly every day as well as the sweet barista with the bangs! Love them. They are so friendly and always make my day!
Grabbed some coffee, espresso - very good
Amazing food! They roast the beans in house. Amazing coffee! Great place! Highly recommended
Stopped in 20 minutes before close as we were unaware of the change in hours for Memorial Day. We ordered 2 sandwiches and both the service and food were still top notch despite our last minute order. I haven’t ever had anything bad (food or drink) from this place. Do yourself a favor and get a croissant… they taste like heaven. 🥐
Crunchy and delicious croissant. The chai was also very good.
Amazing food! Fair price. Great staff! We often place larger orders (8-10 meals with drinks) for our team at work for lunch and they always are eager to help, their service is always amazing and our orders are always made in a timely manner and they don’t usually make any errors either when we request simply customizations like (no mayo or add bacon etc) like many quick eat venues do. Great breakfast or lunch spot! We love Jitters Rochester!
Always delicious food and nice employees. Clean space and lots of seating options; indoors and out. The best iced spiced chai around!
I really enjoyed everything about my experience here. My sandwich was amazing! I got a delicious frappe with mocha and Oreo that was fantastic! The ladies did a great job! I will be back for sure!
The sandwich was delicious. The bread was fresh. The coffee drinks were tasty. The employees were friendly. Would definitely eat there again.
I have done dine in and take out here I find dine in is more reliable. There have been times that I order things only to get the wrong thing once I get back and go to eat the food from takeout. I absolutely love the chicken salad with the cranberry mayo on it and the chai!
It was absolutely amazing 👏🏿 🤩. This visit was my first time there, and I truly enjoyed it 😀. I ordered the same thing twice. Peach smoothie and the cheddar, bacon, and egg croissant 😁❤️.
It was my first time I ordered to crusant fry egg sandwich, the only disappointment was there was way too much cinnamon butter sauce on it, it was dripping like crazy, hard to enjoy the egg bacon & cheese. Everything tasted like cinnamon. But I ate it all.
Great food and fast service, I never have to wait a long time for my food, it's usually ready in 5 minutes if it's not busy. Their menu is simple. Their prices are reasonable and I leave happy every time. My boyfriend and I enjoy going here if we're in a hurry but want to enjoy something quick together. Their chicken salad on a croissant is my favorite. It's hard to go wrong when everything on the menu tastes great there.
Great coffee! A lot of people there. The decor could be updated or brightened to seem more inviting.
Good coffee. The white chocolate iced cap is my fav. Good customer service. But they're sandwiches are pricey. I had chicken salad and it wasn't worth the price
No real staff interaction. It's quiet. The order kiosks are fine but it's hard to find what you want.
The staff is very friendly. A place that now's my name when I come in. I have only had the coffee and it is very good. The place can get busy when the college is in session.
Unique sandwiches, Meals are tasty and fresh. Many menu options for food type and price point. Locally known for coffee. Counter service, table , booth, and outdoor seating.
Great service, great atmosphere, could use some more bacon on the Bagel with bacon, egg and cheese for the price. The prices were already high, now they are much higher for the same amount of food. It's not that the food isn't good, it's just too expensive. Other than that, I absolutely love going there. I just won't be buying food anymore:/
I've been going here since middle school, the food is always great! Though the staff always seems unhappy. Not unfriendly, just not stoked on being there. Great breakfast sandwiches, good coffee
Not a bad place. Most of the sandwiches are delicious. Service is a bit slow though. 2025: The danishes shrunk to half size, at about the same price.
Nice place to hang out. Care shown in taking your order, knowledgeably discussing the menu, preparing, and serving up your order. Not rushing you through. Everybody gets served like this. Feels like Spot or Java's but serving it's own local community. Serving hot or cold matcha green tea. Next time I'll get mine without sugar and whipped topping. A little sweet when I am used to straight matcha. Had a made to order breakfast croissant, which is always a nice option to have the late afternoon. The on-premesis homemade croissant was soft, buttery, flakey -- like I've enjoyed in Paris.
Friendly staff, great menu. Clean and respectful of a smiling face. Very few places respect those of us who can't safely tolerate a mask but gladly social distance from other customers and staff.
Its good. It tastes good. The bread is good. Its all good. Just the portions of meat versus bread.
I had a spinach pesto ciabatta, and it was wonderful! The atmosphere is inviting, and the ambiance is truly delightful. However, the latte didn't suit my palate. It seemed like either the machine needed cleaning or the beans were overroasted—either way, there's room for improvement. Despite this, I would definitely visit again!
Is ♿️ accessible. Dirt, stone parking lot, pull open doors at front entrance & plenty of room inside to get around. Busy & popular coffee bar & eatery. Order, seat yourself & listen for your name when ready. Quick service with friendly staff. Specialty coffees, small lunch or dinner food menu with good selections, although not much of a selection of bakery goods like donuts, muffins you'd typically see with coffee. It's more of a lunch or dinner meeting place, and a nice one at that! Outdoor seating under a pavilion available.
I pass this coffee shop all the time. I haven't gone in until last week. The food is good! Nice and convenient place to pick up food on the go. Plenty of space inside. Great place to meet friends. I'm not a big coffee drinker but I'll have to stop by again to try it out. But as for the food, delicious. Staff is friendly and the place is very clean. Well kept.
Fresh delicious coffee. Sandwiches are very good. Soup is fairly good. I wish they opened earlier like before. 9 seems late for a coffee establishment.
Our first visit was a quiet Sunday afternoon, with only a few other patrons in the place, so the two counter attendants were helpful in telling us of their menu. We had been hiking on a chilly, damp afternoon so we tried the basic cup of coffee and shared a macaroni and cheese special. The coffee was hot and hit the spot-- good though nothing spectacular. We had indicated we were staying to eat, but they still put my coffee into paper to-go cups, and the counter staff indicated most of their customers still prefer the disposable, and so my friend requested a mug-- tip: if you're environmentally friendly and prefer that, be certain to specify it with your order. Food is also served in disposable take-out containers as well; it likely saves staff time on washing dishes, but might chafe at the sensibilities of those who want to create less waste. The macaroni and cheese was a vegetarian special that day, topped with southwestern black beans and tortilla strips. This was really delicious, and the bean and tortilla topping was a much better combination than I had imagined it would be. The macaroni and cheese is prepared ahead and reheated, and the toppings seem to be added afterward. The food was cooked very quickly. It was tasty, but the preparation was a bit lacking. The mac and cheese was so hot as too need a bit of blowing on to prevent burning the tongue, but the bean topping under the tortilla strips was unfortunately not evenly heated, with the edges only warm and the center actually still cold. My sense is food is prepared off-site and reheated in microwaves for patrons at time of service. So while this was a very satisfying dish, and large enough for us to share as a light lunch, for the prices, I would have preferred better preparation. The place was clean, quiet, and the food was good-- it's somewhere between a coffee house and a cafe, with options ranging from salads, breakfast sandwiches, wraps all the way to cookies and coffee milkshakes. From what we had, they have both decent food and coffee, but don't quite excel at either. Despite having no other customers to wait on when our food was ready, they called across the room for us to come to the counter instead of walking it to our table. When the bill comes to $20 without tip for 2 cups of plain, brewed coffee and one small entree, tax and tip, I would expect the food preparation to be higher quality, and preferably with table service.
Always a TBR, extra meat. I pay for it, but not alway given. Excellent sandwich; eat in or take out. Moody workers; prefer previous owners.
Jitters used to be the hotspot when I was a teenager, but the real coffee hotspot in chili nowadays is in Chili-Paul plaza. Jitters feels too much like a diner, and I'm not really that impressed with the drinks. They are okay, but expensive for just okay. If I want okay coffee, I'll go to Dunkin.
Its over priced coffee chill spot if your got nothing else to do i live close so that helps.
Jitters really does have fresh, tasty food and excellent coffee plus a great decor. That being said, I find the service to be unprofessional. Every time I went in there (I stopped going) I was completely ignored. I totally understand if an employee is busy and can't get right to me, I'm a patient person. But to stand there foolishly without an "I'll be right with you left me not wanting to return after the third time.
I usually love jitters. Their London fog tea is the best. However the last few orders have been sub-par. Today I picked up an order of a London fog this was very watered down and my turkey BLT had cheese on it even though I indicated none. Their website has minimal options for substitutions. (Sandwiches that come with cheese you can’t indicate anywhere “no cheese”) I also don’t love that the website doesn’t indicate allergy info in the products
The coffee was very good. The breakfast bagel didn't looks anything like the picture it hurt my eyes trying to find the egg and bacon! The lighting was dim with the dark decor made kind of a gloomy feel. The staff was very friendly.
Not a bad place for a quick bite, alone or with family or friends. Prices are mid-range, portions are frugal, food was on the bland side. The coconut steamer was excellent. Free parking is always a plus.
We ordered a couple sandwiches and a taco salad, however, when we ordered we asked for no onions along with ground beef instead of chicken. They put shaved roast beef instead of ground beef and diced onion, we couldn’t eat it because my wife is allergic to onions. Our sandwiches were really good, We called them immediately to complain and was told they would credit the charges that didn’t happen, We then called back, to speak with the manager/owner, they aren’t available and will not return our call after calling 3 times. Poor business!!!
The food was good. Unfortunately, the tables and floors were quite dirty and littered with food scraps and bits of garbage. We actually had to ask that they clean some of the tables but there was still litter on the floor. I was disappointed at their use of all single use plastic which we used for 15 minutes and then had to throw in the trash to sit in a landfill for hundreds of years.
We are an regular customers that stops sometimes. Stopped on a Sunday 1/18/26 around 4:30pm. We were not welcomed either acknowledge and stood at counter and ordered at kiosk after 10 minutes. The Food was excellent but one of the drinks was made wrong.
Ciabatta bread sandwiches weren’t awful, but certainly not impressive. Cookies were mid at best. I like the theme they’re going for, but if you’ve had quality versions of this type of food, you probably won’t be super impressed.
Jitters is definitely under staffed. I waited perhaps 10 minutes before she took my order. It was not her fault, she was busy preparing orders and couldn't take my order. Both girls were very busy. Management needs to address this issue.
The service was really great here and that’s why I’m giving it a 3 instead of a 2. The food was about the same as Dunkin’ Donuts. The sandwich was very flat and not much to it. The egg was much like one of those frozen ones you heat up in the microwave. The iced mocha was okay but not enough chocolate to actually taste like a mocha. Overall not very impressed.
The shamrock shake was not nearly as good as McDonald's. The décor of the café was cheap with wood wall paper and fake wood tables. The menu is overpriced. Coming here was an overall dull experience and waste of money. My Mother was not pleased.
My wife and I stopped here at 6:30 pm on a cold Sunday evening, anxious for soup and sandwich - only to find out that they don't serve soup on weekends. Very disappointing. Pros: The place is neat and clean, the staff is friendly and the food is good. Cons: No soup on weekends. Coffee is okay but not great. Prices are high and portions are small. All you get with a sandwich is just the sandwich (no chips, pickles, or sides). I'll be looking for another cafe to go to.
Friendly staff and good food. The 1 star rating is for one major flaw - the parking lot in the winter. Not once, in the years I've frequented this place, have I seen the parking lot plowed. In the winter, it is an icy mess waiting to happen. Fork over the few hundred dollars to hire a plow company for the winter months so your patrons (many of them elderly) don't slip and fall. Because the parking lot is always covered in snow and ice, the front entrance floor is a sopping, soaking mess. This is basic business maintenance in the winter, and shouldn't be ignored to save money.
The salad was not fresh.
Wow. My sister worked here and recently left. She went to pick up her last paycheck and after 10 minutes of having to "find it" she brought it home and found that it was ripped in half. Poor staff poor service poor management would only get you a 2 star but that was the cherry that got you this 1 star. Best of luck to this understandably struggling small business. RE: Well speaking of personal lives you knew it was a tough week for our family because our dog had just passed. I wasn't going to put this on the original review but your grounds for letting my teenage sister go was because she forgot she picked up a shift for someone over a month ago. Mistakes happen though just like your excuse for the check! Talk about happy holidays... P.S. you should consider making an organized solution with reminders to shift changes so this doesn't happen again.
The coffee and food are inconsistent. I continued to go to this establishment longer than I would have if it weren't for the employees that went out of their way to help me. They would go out of their way to make my drink and food so that it was correct. Now that they are gone, it's not worth my time and money, especially when you never know if you'll get the right order. It honestly doesn't matter what I say because the owner seems to have an issue with my first review that basically stated the same thing with examples. I first received an immature response that said they couldn't take my review seriously with a laughing emoji. Then changed it to argue that my review was only based on one employee. When the main point was that if it wasn't for those couple of employees I wouldn't have kept coming because the service wasn't that great. I would rather spend money on something that I know will be consistent.
Food is fine. But buyer beware. Another one of these places that thinks it’s completely ok to infiltrate your inbox if you swipe your card to make a purchase. You will be automatically enrolled in their emails. This in itself is enough for a one star review.
me and my boyfriend went here recently, we’ve dined in before but this time we decided to take out. When we did our food was incredibly smaller than it was when we had dined in yet the exact same prices, the sandwich he ordered might as well have been a finger sandwich compared to how big it was when we dined in. If that’s normal then they need to lower that price because that is NOT what I should’ve paid that price for. And then for how service was, the cashier was incredibly rude and rushed us both with our order, I understand we should know what we want when we get there but my partner had changed his mind and was thinking of ordering something different. You shouldn’t rush a customer that’s PAYING you. You’re getting paid to stand there and cash people out as well as other things. If you’re gonna do a job, do it right. Despite her disgusting attitude, I still tipped and as her response she said something under her breath I could swear was an insult about me. Now that I think about it, they’re always rude, they were rude when I dined in and ordered. Its a homey place and I would recommend but the service is disgraceful and needs to be worked on.
