Golden Palace Seafood & Dim Sum has quickly become my favorite spot for authentic Cantonese dim sum in Austin. The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and consistently high-quality — from the har gow and siu mai to the BBQ pork buns, everything tastes just like what you'd find in a top dim sum restaurant in California. Service is friendly and efficient, even during busy weekend hours, and the staff makes you feel genuinely welcome. The menu has a great variety, portions are generous, and the seafood dishes are especially well done. Easily the best dim sum experience in Austin — highly recommended!

I am honestly so glad a place like this has opened in Austin. Austin lacks authentic food here but I can say this is one of place that serves it. We’ve been here a few times for dim sum and dinner. Sunday Dimsum, so glad this place has cart dimsum, I love you can pick and choose what you want, food is nice and hot too. All the dimsum was good, only complain i have would be against the chicken feet and spare ribs. They tasted like flour too much, I’m not sure if it was too much corn start or baking power but it took away the flavor. Dinner we ordered the fish maw soup, beef ho fan, and half Peking duck. The fish maw was good, nice thick broth with lots of fish maw. I was really hyped up for the beef ho fan because it once of my favorite dishes but it didn’t hit the spot, it didn’t have much flavor in it and was bland. The Peking duck on the other hand was delicious crispy duck skin and the sauce had a lot of flavor and was nice and thick.

Heard about this new dim sum place couple of weeks ago. Decided to give a try today. Was really impressed. Good quality food, clean and nice dining space, very comfortable sitting area. So happy to find out that there’s a good dim sum restaurant in Austin now. Will definitely go back again and again for dim sum for sure😋 l checked their lunch and dinner menu on my way out, lots of seafood, will give a try next time.

Omg, the food was delicious! Such a big variety! Super friendly service!!! Very reasonably priced! If you order from the main menu the portions are big!!! I highly recommend it and will definitely be going back when we visit my daughter in Austin again!!!

This venue is massive—easily accommodating parties of over 300 guests. It has long been a staple for the local Vietnamese community, hosting beautiful wedding receptions for years. Tian Tian is located in Austin Chinatown on North Lamar, taking over the space formerly occupied by New Fortune. They offer dim sum daily for both lunch and dinner, alongside a wide array of traditional Hong Kong-style dishes. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. I highly recommended Tian Tian.

I recently visited Tian Tian Golden Place seafood restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — every dish tasted authentic and perfectly seasoned. The Peking Dutch and steam fish was especially memorable!

My number 1 place to go for Chinese dim sum/Cantonese cuisine! Their dim sum tastes really great with a quite reasonable price. I like their lobster noodles which has a special price $32 for a whole lobster with noodles! The owner is very kind by giving us complimentary shrimp which is bouncy and fresh! Their environment is clean and great just next to MT market. Service is great too. They are not busy and def recommend to go if you like great and fresh dim sum and seafood at a fair price!!! Plus their tip is pre-tax tip! Trustable!! 好吃好吃 都来吃!!!

Golden Palace is a great Dim Sum restaurant! Located in the exact same building as the previous New Fortune restaurant in the China Town Center. Spacious, friendly service, and delicious food. They offer cart services on the weekends, but "order by each item" on weekdays. The wait for these orders during the weekday is about 30 minutes, something to be cognizant of if you're on a time constraint. This place is very comparable to New Fortune 2. Both the gold standard of Dim Sum here in Austin!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Unforgettable Experience—The Perfect Venue for a Special Celebration** We recently hosted a special event at this restaurant, and I can’t say enough about how incredible the experience was. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of. Every detail—from the beautifully arranged tables to the seamless coordination—was handled with professionalism and warmth. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it. The ambiance was just right: elegant yet relaxed, with a vibe that made everyone feel comfortable and festive. What truly stood out was the service. The team went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, making sure everything ran smoothly and that every guest felt special. It’s rare to find a place that combines top-tier cuisine with such genuine hospitality. If you’re looking for a venue to host a memorable event, this is it. We’ll definitely be back—for both everyday dining and future celebrations!

The best Dim Sum in Austin! Every dish we got was yummy, but my favorites were the BBQ Pork buns and the Chive Dumplings 🤩 The lobster was delicious and the sauce was very fragrant. The egg tarts were like nothing I've had before - very flaky and buttery crust and not too sweet. Our server was Shaun (or Shawn - I didn't catch the spelling!), and he was incredibly attentive and friendly. Every person helping with the cart service was also very friendly and kind. Highly recommend Tian Tian for anyone looking for delicious dim sum!

This place serves authentic Hong Kong-style dim sum, with standout dishes like heavenly rice noodle rolls, tender chicken feet, and crispy turnip cake. Service is speedy and friendly, making it a must-visit for dim sum lovers.

Very authentic Cantonese food in the Austin area. I have been here multiple times before making this review and the food and service has been great every time. Their menus seems to have been update recently as well and have lowered their prices on some items. The food is great, seafood is fresh and kept in a tank, definitely would make this my go to spot for food from now on.

Tons of Cantonese banquet family style dishes. The standout was the lobster fried rice, would highly recommend this dish.

AUTHENTIC CANTONESE DIM SUM in Austin. Incredible staff and service. I love how they had Chinese, Vietnamese and Spanish speakers pushing the carts. Everything was very fresh and CLEAN. Open kitchen so you can see them make the food. My kid enjoyed looking at the live fish in the tanks. We ordered a scallop dish and beef noodles off the menu and it was very good. Highly recommend if you like authentic canto food and dim sum.

Listen up folks! There is a new 5 gold stars standard Hong Kong style Chinese restaurant in Austin. It's name is Tian Tian Golden Palace! The Dim Sums cart service are excellent on the weekends & they are delicious! They also serve limited dim sum on any other meal services too. I must rave about the Peking Duck! It is amazing 👏 I really don't know how they got the skins to be so crisp and melt in your mouth! It is simply divine! You simply must try it if you like ducks! The only things to improve is the steamed pancakes wrappers. Those can be bigger, fluffier & less sticky to each other. Their staff are so courteous & attentive too. They immediately got a complimentary snack for my 2 years old grandson the moment we sat down to entertain him.

I've been to this dum sum restaurant several times, and it never disappoints. Comparing it to others in Austin and other metropolitan cities, I would rank Tian Tian among the best. We were last there on a Sunday afternoon, and it was quite busy but we got seated within 15 minutes, so their service is fast and efficient. The restaurant is big, clean and bright with plenty of seating and food carts going around. We liked the pace of the food cart service, because it wasn't fast and hurried, and it wasn't slow, it was perfectly timed to allow us to eat a few dishes at a time. The food is delicious! My personal favorite is the tarot cake, the best I've had anywhere.

Good food, fresh and flavored. This time we tried dinner, next time we would like to go earlier to try their dim sum. We met a very nice server, who politely asked us about the dining experience, which makes us feel good.

This place is the highlight of China Town in North Austin. Excellent food and customer service. Slightly more expensive than other places, but much better so definitely worth it. Everything I've had here has been great. Boiled fish comes in a huge bowl and was well worth it and the spicy chicken is excellent. Its a Hong Kong restaurant but I come for the Sichuan food. Highly recommend this place!

This place is still in their soft opening stage, so food options were limited. However, the dishes we ordered were excellent and they have an attentive cart service. What stood out to me was the service. I had the GM and at least 4 other people constantly checking on our table and asking what dishes we'd like when the carts weren't strolling past us. They gave details on what to expect with the grand opening in two weeks and assured the full menu would be available. I'm excited to come back for the grand opening and was extremely pleased with our first visit.

Came in 20 minutes before closing. Still the staff was super nice and welcomed us to dine in. Probably the ONLY place in Austin with live seafood to be cooked. Big win! Had a friendly chat with the owner Michael, a great owner! He made a fresh grouper into three incredible dishes: steamed, stir-fried, and delicious fish soup. Great food, great vibes, and great talks! Can’t wait to come back to try the dim sum!

We recently hosted a small wedding reception at Golden Palace, and it was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we started planning, the staff was incredibly attentive, flexible, and genuinely invested in making our day special. The ambiance was intimate and elegant—exactly what we were hoping for. The food was outstanding, with every dish beautifully presented and full of flavor. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the menu! The team went above and beyond to accommodate our requests, and their attention to detail made the entire experience seamless.

My wife and I tried several dishes at Tian Tian Golden Palace Seafood & Dim Sum, and every single one was amazing. Everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor! The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a clean and elegant atmosphere that immediately stands out. On top of that, the staff was attentive and friendly. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for great dim sum and live seafood in a polished, welcoming setting, this place is absolutely worth visiting.

We went to our favorite Chinese restaurant as a family and, as always, the experience was excellent. The service is fast and friendly, and the food never disappoints. This time we ordered the honey walnut shrimp, perfectly crispy with that sweet touch that makes it irresistible. The salt and pepper squid was another highlight, tender inside, golden outside, and seasoned just right. The lobster was fresh and well-prepared, while the ginger and scallion beef was one of the most flavorful dishes of the night. It’s a place we always come back to because it combines quality, generous portions, and a welcoming family atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The best seafood I had in Texas so far! Fish is made in two different ways. Steamed fish is so tender! The soup is so fresh and delicious. The crab with fried rice is also a must try with good price. It came with a huge portion and totally worth less than $50. I also had the best sesame ball in my life with custard and egg yolk filling. It’s so good that I ordered extra for takeout! Love this place. Highly recommend!

Took my best friend and my husband for lunch during their grand opening week. The hostess was super friendly and was attentive. I was so excited to try dim sum even thought they didn’t have the traditional carts at the time. Everything was hot and flavorful. At first I didn’t think the shumai was flavorful but when I had leftovers the next day, it was great! The shrimp in har gow was huge! Well worth the price. Cheung fung is my favorite at every dim sum place and the rice roll was soft but I felt like the beef might not have been steamed all the way through. We also had orange chicken and spicy shrimp with bell peppers, Chinese broccoli, bao buns, and soup dumplings (I didn’t think they had enough soup in them). I would definitely go back!

Better than what used to be here. Employees speaking all languages so you can’t just order in Cantonese with everyone. Nicer decors and no longer using disposable table clothes but not nice enough to change table clothes after each party. They use coated clothes that get a wipe down. Turn down could have been better by dusting the previous guest mess off the chairs. Food quality has improved and dishes are well made. Items have a good amount of filling. Taste I good overall. Tea is made with teas bags and not loose leaf tea. A bit pricey but one of the top options in Austin.

Dim Sum Done Right 🥟🔥 Worth the Wait & Worth the Trip We came back to Tian Tian this past Sunday for our second visit — first time was during their grand opening, so we knew it was going to be chaotic back then. This time? Way smoother and well worth the drive. We accidentally showed up right at peak Sunday rush (after-church crowd + busy shopping center 😅). If you don’t like crowds, come around 2 PM — way more chill. Put your name on the waitlist at the front — our wait was under 30 minutes for a table of two. The staff is super friendly and you can tell they all work together — servers, runners, and the dim sum cart team. It’s fast-paced, so don’t expect your server to hover — but with dim sum, we’re really just waiting to see what rolls by on the carts anyway 😆 Here’s what we got (and loved): • Stir-Fried Green Beans w/ Garlic — flavorful, fresh, a little savory. Great with rice. • Singapore Noodles — ⭐️ one of the stars. I could eat a whole giant bowl by myself. • Chinese Sausage Fried Rice — familiar, slightly sweet/fermented sausage flavor. If you know, you know. • Soup Dumplings — good broth, nice pork filling. • Har Gow & Shumai — must-haves and they don’t skimp on filling. • Congee (Porridge) — comforting and surprisingly filling. Great for kids or anyone who likes soft, warm dishes. • Cattle Tripe + Beef Tripe — tender and seasoned right (for those who enjoy the “special cuts” like we do 😄). • Tofu Skin Rolls (with pork + shrimp) — super filling and delicious. • Chicken Feet in Oyster Sauce — we grabbed these to-go and they reheated perfectly later. And speaking of reheating — our leftovers later that night were still fire. Always a good sign. Add some chili oil to anything here and you’re in flavor town 🔥 Overall — great dim sum, great variety, busy but worth the wait, and we’ll definitely be back. Singapore noodles + Har Gow = non-negotiable next round.

I visited Tian Tian Golden Restaurant while I was in Austin for some courses, and I’m so glad I stopped in. I ordered the scallion and ginger lobster with noodles, which was incredibly unique. I’ve never had lobster served over noodles before — very silky, very flavorful, and honestly fantastic overall. I could’ve done without the noodles, but the dish itself was still amazing. I also enjoyed a couple of beers, which were ice-cold and perfect with the meal. My only small wish is that they had asked whether I preferred a cold mug or a room-temperature mug — the first beer was perfect, but the second didn’t taste as cold because the cup wasn’t chilled. The Peking Duck was another standout. It came with a side of soup, clear noodles, hoisin sauce, scallions, cucumbers, and a jelly that was surprisingly delicious. Everything was served with a thin pancake (I should know the proper name, but I don’t!) — still, the combination was wonderful. I also tried the pork and shrimp dumplings, which were okay. I’m not sure if they were handmade; the large shrimp on the bottom overpowered the pork flavor a little for me, but they were still decent. For a meal for one, this was a LOT of food — and totally worth it. Service was great from start to finish. I arrived right when they opened for dinner and was greeted immediately. They don’t hover, which I appreciate, but any time I waved someone over, they came right away. They swapped my plates out, checked in when needed, and overall made the experience very pleasant. I can easily see this being an amazing dim sum spot on weekends with family. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Austin, and I highly recommend checking this place out!

We arrived around 1:30pm on Sunday and it was still a full house. The server was attentive. Cart pushers are super friendly, not only patiently explained different dim sum choices but also waited while our kid took their time deciding. The food was flavorful and served hot. Excuse the photos, our kids were hungry! Turnip cake and lava bun (not pictured) were so good that disappeared before I had chance to photograph them. Unfortunately, Siu Mai and chicken feet have already sold out. The staff even made a twisted balloon for our kids, which totally made their day.

Friyayyyy Dim Sum and this is my second one for the week! Came here with my soul sister and her friend and I was skeptical at first from the reviews but what do I know! This is the most valued great food for your money! Nice service, attentive staff, efficient system, no wait on tables, food came on time well cooked and the tables are big! We had the Peking duck, Siomai, pork buns, soup and sesame balls. It is in Chinatown in Austin and it is a great stop in itself it’s next to MT market! Clean, lots of parking! Open seating and with already set tables. Love it!

This used to be the Fortune Restaurant, which has relocated to 620. Atmosphere - interior was redone. Tables and chairs too - they somehow project a classier interior, albeit somewhat bulky. Place was very well lit. Service - was prompt. Sufficient staff were around to take your orders, top off drinks, deliver food, and attend to diners' needs. Orders are taken through tablets that each staff carries on a sling. Food - their lunch specials were $2-3 more expensive than typical ones - but servings were huge - good for 1.5 - 2 persons. Dimsum can be ordered weekdays and the kitchen would prepare them for you. On weekends, they'd be on push carts going around the dining area. Dimsum prices range from $5 to $10 a serving. If ordering tea, the table would be charged $2 per person seated, regardless if the others won't be partaking. There is also a new addition - aquariums hosting libr seafood, assuring fresh supply for your dish, should you be ordering lobsters, crabs, ells, etc.

Tried ordering some dishes off the main menu but the items we wanted were unavailable. Was not able to try many of the dim sum but was able to get the staples as the carts had those on rotation. Har Gow- succulent shrimp, perfectly steamed Siu Mai - bouncy, savory pork and shrimp Chicken Feet- tender but overly sweet, not my personal preference Chinese Broccoli- crisp vegetables with a light soy/oyster sauce, which I prefer over the thick sweet oyster sauce Pork Ribs- chewy in a good way, loved the meat to cartilage ratio Prices are a bit high for dim sum. Most are medium and large dishes priced at $6 and $7. The dishes we had were high quality. Interested in trying more, attributing the lack of variety to soft opening. Depending on when you dine, cart offerings will vary. We had to wait a bit to get the dim sum we wanted, looked like the dishes were cooked in large batches so food came in waves.

We tried several dishes including the Walnut Shrimp, Sichuan Boiled Fish Fillets, Chongqing Spicy Chicken, Sizzling Black Pepper Steak, and Clams with Black Bean Sauce. Overall, the food was enjoyable. The clams were especially flavorful, and the spicy chicken packed a nice punch. My least favorite dish was the black pepper steak — the beef quality wasn’t great, and it tasted like too much baking soda was used to tenderize it, which threw off the texture. Also, it’s worth noting that steamed rice doesn’t come with the entrees — you’ll need to order that separately. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, though there were a few spots where stacked chairs and minor clutter took away from the overall look. Service was friendly and attentive, with multiple staff checking in on us throughout the meal. The waiter who took our order wasn’t too familiar with the beer selection or some menu items, but since the restaurant is newly opened, I’m hopeful they’ll smooth those details out with time and training. Would definitely come back to try more dishes!

Just did takeout for dim sum and it all looked and tasted good! The radish cake was tad undercooked for my liking but otherwise everything tasted pretty darn okay

I visited for brunch, but it ended up being lunch. A crowd of people arrived and queued up, but the waitlist process was really easy. Just put your name and phone number down, and they’ll send you a text when it’s time to hop in. There were 33 parties ahead of us, so we went to the market for groceries and checked the time to come back. There were many people waiting outside too. The prices are reasonable. While the dim sum selection isn’t huge, they can take special orders if you want something specific. The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to accommodate any requests, which I really appreciated. The food met my expectations, and we definitely love the dim sum here.

Large Chinese restaurant that can host Chinese wedding banquets in Austin area. Dimsum is fairly good, similar to large Asian American neighborhoods in large cities in California or New York. Howeverwe noted that someone started taking photos of Asians walking in the area, making it very uncomfortable for patrons going into the restaurant. Not sure what that person is trying to do but we may have second thoughts going there.

I went for Lunar New Year, and this place was pretty packed! I figured the food would be pretty authentic given the clientele and the location at Austin Chinatown, and I was correct. Most of the dishes like the sauteed green beans and pork pot stickers were OK, not the best in Austin. But the fried Dungeness crab (Hong Kong Typhoon Style) on a bed of fried rice was spectacular!

BBQ pork was way too fatty and not flavorful enough. And why were there mixed vegetables in the mapo tofu? That’s just not authentic at all.

One of the worst experiences ever in Austin’s restaurant. We were seated around 7pm on the Christmas Eve for Dim sum and the dinner. Once seated, we were given a menu with Dim Sum and a menu with normal cuisine. The server came first asking what we want, while we’re ordering, she didn’t type in anything on her padlet or take any notes. So later she came back asking what meat do we want for Hor Fun, and “throw” a pen to us as if we should know to fill the menu and get it back. The food is mid. The steamed rice with chicken was pretty good, but you can taste the full piece of radish in the radish cake. To me that radish cake seems more like unsteamed and unfinished. The soup dumplings barely has any soup inside. So we ordered one Hor Fun with beef, but up until we finished everything above, that cuisine never came. In fact, during the 30 minutes wait after our last dishes arrived, none of the waiters came or passed by for us to ask the question. Only 1-2 servers that try to take our plate away who can’t event speak English. We eventually got one of the waiters who passed by. Once we reflected our concerns on that dishes, we received the most rude, unrespectful response we could ever get as a customer. She threw her tablet on the desk and point at that dish saying “coming soon” without even checking the kitchen. We tried to tell her to cancel that cuisine considering it’s been almost more than 30 mins wait, and she didn’t respond and left. So later we tried to get another waitress to help us check out. It was that time she informed us that dish was cancelled already. The original waitress never informed us! We were disappointed on this meal experience. If you ever consider having some Chinese cuisine, there’s some more options in Austin for you. Not a lot , but definitely worth you to try others than having terrible meal experience as we have here

This is NOT half a duck. It’s so old and crappy. Looks like leftover from yesterday. These pieces are not even consecutive. $26 for such garbage. There’s no rice either. Terrible place to order Chinese food from. I’m sure the other reviews are from your friends and families.
