Sides BBQ & Catering absolutely crushed it for my son’s birthday after-party with our family. From the first message to pickup, their professionalism and kindness stood out—and the food? Out of this world. We had a last-minute guest with a gluten allergy, and Sides didn’t miss a beat. They created a separate gluten-free dish on the spot, and our guest said it was the best gluten-free meal they’ve ever had. That kind of flexibility and care is rare. The spread we ordered: • Fried fish – fresh, flaky, and perfectly crispy • Smoked chicken & jumbo smoked wings – deep, smoky flavor and super juicy • Jumbo fried chicken wings – crispy outside, tender inside • Jumbo barbecue wings – sauced just right without being overly sweet • Grilled, cut-up chicken breast – tender, well-seasoned, and delicious • Fried cabbage – a surprise family favorite with great seasoning • Cornbread and gluten-free cornbread – my family said it was the best cornbread they’ve ever had • Ribs – well-seasoned and really, really good Every tray was hot, generous, and seasoned to perfection. The fried items stayed crisp, the smoked meats had beautiful flavor, and nothing was bland. My entire family kept going back for seconds—and thirds. Bottom line: If you’re looking for flavorful food, stellar service, and a team that treats your event like their own, book Sides BBQ & Catering. We’ll definitely be using them again!

We have been to the truck multiple times and can’t get enough!!! The food has always been hot and so flavorful compared to other “bbq” food trucks in the DMV area. The owner (Chef Jackson) is super friendly and explained how to go about placing a catering order for a future event. Hands down some of the BEST bbq sauce I have ever had and it’s 100% homemade 🤤🤤🤤🤤

The ribs were Ahh-mazing... the customer service was on point... very friendly people.. for some reason it wouldn't allow us to get delivery and we weren't that far from the shop... and they went ahead and brought it to us cause we called... the sides could have used just a little more seasonings... but it fixed the craving that I was having

I happened to stumble across this business while ordering through Postmates/Uber Eats. I knew as soon as I saw the menus I would love this food. The smothered pork chops are my go to for a main but then I like to shake things up by trying the meatloaf (excellent) or the fried chicken. I’m going to continue to order from them because their food reminds me of back home. I hope they stay around for a long time.

Great service. They have the best ribs around so perfect you don’t need any bbq sauce to enjoy them!!! If you are looking for good food this is the place! They also have great candied yams and Great banana pudding. 10/10 would come again.

I got this $6 surprise bag off Too Good To Go at the Olney Farmers Market. Sides BBQ could definitely benefit from better marketing and promo - the flavor is there! Unfortunately I didn’t ask if they carry any halal meat - but seeing that they offer piggy platters, I’m assuming they don’t

I went For the polar bear Plunge, I understand why the wait was so long but it was overly long of a 50 minutes after I ordered I got my food. the mac & cheese was like soup you could pick the cheese out and eat it, and it was like it was uncooked, it was so bad I had to throw it away. The only reason it’s getting two stars is because the chicken was good but it was way too expensive $12 for just a six piece no fry

I was so disappointed 😞 had to trash the baked beans. Burger was over priced for basic small charred beans burger and hot dog mediocre. I'm sorry I had higher expectations

It must have been a bad day for Sides BBQ. The ribs were dry, the baked beans tasted like pork & beans from a can with cinnamon added, and the greens and cabbage were salty and watery. The only tasty item was the corn bread.

I was at the farmers market and was interested in ordering food. The woman in the truck was very rude while I was asking a question about payment options and implied I was I guess trying to scam or get free meal. The unprofessional and lack of customer service immediately made me lose interest in what could possibly be some delicious food. Maybe work on the way you speak to customers and people would actually want to eat something.
