Northside Deli

We do a few parties a year at my house and this was our first time using Northside. I there was a way of giving them 6 stars I would. We ordered: Large Cheese Platter and damn was it large, filled to the top with lots of different cheeses, pepperoni, and several different types of crackers. Apps, Mozz sticks were excellent!!! Everyone raved about how amazing the stuffed mushrooms were, and piggies in a blanket were awesome. We ordered a tray of Mozz and Tom salad and it was awesome, tons of fresh mozz and a nice light italian dressing. We also had a tray of ceasar salad which was really good. Dinners, Sliced london broil was really good, perfectly cooked with lots of mushrooms and an amazing sauce. The sausage and peppers was great, nice big chunks of sausage and tons of red and green peppers, Chicken picatta was better than some italian restaurants that I have eaten in, the perfect mix of lemon and capers. The stuffed shells were actually stuffed and a great tomato sauce, and the penne with broccoli and garlic in oil was so good I went back for 2nds and 3rds. They supplied a giant basket of rolls, butter, and dressings. We ordered for 40+ people and there was nothing but rave reviews for the food. I think Northside will be our new caterer!

Really good NY deli. Whoever makes their salads should be inducted in the "Deli Hall of Fame" - terrific REAL NY-style homemade salads (none of the pre-fab, salads that come in 5gal. buckets). Ordered 4 - 6' heroes from Northside and they were beautiful ... came pre-sliced in baskets with all the trimmings! VERY reasonable prices and a staff that was very pleasant and professional to deal with. I have lived in Northport for 30 years and have always frequented other delis in the area ... it's easy to pass by Northside if you aren't paying attention. No more ... these guys are ROCK STARS in the deli world and will have my business from now on. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - ask for Ramzi! Thanks, Northside!

Great food all around, super clean place, very nice staff, the hungry man sandwich is one of the best on L.I if you get it with home fries instead of hash browns and the macaroni salad they make is the by far the best I have ever had !

My favorite deli in the area. Text your order in and go pick it up, easy. No need to stand around and wait with a bunch of Long Island maniacs shouting egg sandwich orders at the staff.

Top tier deli, can't go wrong. They also do door dash so if you don't live that close and don't feel like driving you can still enjoy their quality food.

Northside Deli is a great spot to grab and go breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The hot items are delicious and the portions are generous. Egg sandwiches are served all day, and they are made with care and attention to detail. There is usually a good selection of homemade soups as well. Their side salads are all made on the premises and are fresh and delicious. The staff are accommodating and friendly, and there are picnic tables out front incase you're between appointments on a nice day.

Thoughtful touches like including extra sauce for the pasta were appreciated. Everything was ready on time for my pickup and made feeding 35 guests a breeze!

The bread was so fresh and the macaroni salad is the best we ever had. As a locally based national business, we do try to use local businesses- and this Northport business is a home run in every way. I genuinely don’t understand the negative reviews. The staff was super friendly. I bought a surprise bag, and they gave me quesadillas and crumb cake. I typically avoid eating out because I'm extremely picky about food, having been raised by a cook who made everything from scratch. The quesadilla at Northside was exceptionally good. It had the perfect amount of meat, and the tortilla was spot on. I will definitely return to try other items on their menu.

Every time I've been here the staff has always been very friendly and the food has been quite good. I've only had problems with the food like once or twice and it was minor (missing mayo or salt n pepper, etc.).

Good food and friendly people, although they seem to skimp out on condiments. Ordered a burger that came with BBQ sauce and they put so little on that I almost forgot it was there.

The place is usually busy. They kind of have a NY attitude. Sometimes youll get a smile but mostly its what do you want . Get you in get you out. The food is good. And service is decent. Parking right up front or around the side or back.

Foods good. Not what I ordered but hey, can't be picky. Bring $$ and speak slowly. Check your order before you leave. .

We work in a busy office, and was looking forward to a veggie panini with mayo pesto. The order was for 6 people, but they failed to deliver both veggie paninis and the one we received did not have mayo pesto. They were unable to help me because they didn't have anyone to deliver.

Bug in my food two times. First time was a pass, I understand these things happen but two times? Second time there were flies floating around in my iced tea. Absolutely disgusting.

My chicken palm hero was stale and old tasting. Clearly microwaved and slammed on a dry hero. But what was most scary was the fact customers were coming in with just there mouth barely covered with nose exposed and nothing was said to them. Also the cashier had her nose exposed. Im not wearing a mask all day to be put at risk by others. I will go up the road to the northport deli

I’ve tried them a few times, and 3 of my last 5 orders they have messed up. They put mayo on sandwiches even if you specify not to because they lack attention to detail, are usually speaking or joking with co workers instead of paying attention and have an attitude if you request anything after you place the order. They’ve forgotten to make breakfast sandwiches if you order more than 1. Just completely disorganized with poor food. Much better places in the area than here. They remodeled it, it’s quiet nice but not enough to make up for the poor food and service.

I ordered an egg sandwich with bacon and cheese nothing crazy. Almost all the bacon was pure fat. I don't understand how someone can make a sandwich like this as if they would eat it. No joke I had to remove all the bacon. It's not even worth going in to say something. Once you get a bad experience, I can only speak for me , I wont go there again unless desperate. What a shame since it's on my boat route. Would have been a place to go all summer.

tried again this deli and again disappointed I had the roastbeef melt panini the cheese wasn’t melted and it was cold ..the grilled chix mozzarella roasted peppers wrap was supposed to have pesto sauce on it and it was dry .Never again

Placed an order with them on TGTG app. Was told to get there at 5-5:30. Only to get there at 5 and have the placed closed… It looked like it was closed for quite some time. To say the least won’t be back even if you can’t even get your food… mind you they already charged my card… no issue taking my money right away but just lack of professionalism on their end, how can I even rate the food if I can’t even get it!

I have been consistently going to Northside deli for about 4-5 months. One day the sandwich is great, the next it is meh, edible but meh. This is the second time I place an order, I get there, and the price has increased without warning. It happened the first time with their egg sandwich, and now the sandwich of the day. Like I said, I have been going their consistently, and one day the price is one thing, and the next it is .50 - 1 more. I know people go there for their sandwich of the day, this is complete disrespect for their loyal customers to increase without any warning. Not to mention, they increased it by putting a piece of paper over the existing signs. They are not following proper business practices for rate increases like giving a heads up to your loyal customer and actually changing the signage to reflect new pricing. They also nickle and dime you if you ask for lettuce and tomato. Also, every time I go their, the people behind the counter have an attitude. Northside was not the best in tow, but it was not the worst but now with the complete disrespect I have been shown, they are now the worst. I will do everything in my power not go go back there, I recommend you do the same. I understand price increase, but they way they went about it, did not make me want to pay it. Oh, and they just bought a new deli case, I guess that's where my extra money is going. I recommend you take some customer service classes and accounting to know how to operate within your means. In case you did not know this before, you are in the service industry, this means you need to deliver the product with the best service possible and putting a pice of paper over the existing sign, and increasing the price with out warning, and then nickle and dime me for lettuce and tomato does not make me feel warm about the service and make me feel disrespected and that all you care about is my money.

I had a completely messed up order, I called to get a refund so I can re order the right sandwiches. When I talked to the manager and worker on the phone they repeatedly told me that I was wrong and they made the sandwiches right as I’m looking at the order and the sandwich I got which was clearly wrong they didn’t add any meat to my sandwiches only toppings and then told me I can come in for store credit on one sandwich next time, meanwhile I spent over $40 and had 3 messed up orders ! The way they spoke was extremely unprofessional and the food wasn’t even great, especially for the price. The bread was burnt and stale the customer service is terrible and every time I’ve ordered from here my order has come home wrong and they don’t replace or provide refunds! Huge waste of money I will never recommend going here ever!

Owner would not refund items that were wrong on our order. We are currently bringing the entire order back and don’t even care about the money but the owner hung up on us twice and a worker called my husband a bad name in Spanish.

Check your order before you leave. Recently ordered a sandwich with lettuce and tomato and when I took off the wrapping paper a few hours later, they had left out the lettuce and tomato that I was charged for, leaving me with a dry sandwich.

Was excited to try this place but was extremely disappointed in the result. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap, only issue was I couldn’t eat at least half of the chicken as shown in the photo. The chicken was crunchy and not edible. Kinda grossed me out and obviously ruined lunch

I Stopped at Northside deli Sunday morning 7:00 am and picked up 4- BLTs for myself and three of my friends when I arrived at crab meadow golf course which is about 10 minutes away we all opened up our sandwiches and were looking forward to enjoying a BLT with mayo lettuce and tomato, but unfortunately it was disgusting, and I'm not one to complain but.. the bacon was all fat and greasy and hard to chew, almost caused me to lose a tooth.. we all agreed it was left over bacon from the prior day or two.. I order BLT sandwiches at least two to three times per week at other local delis around Huntington and Northport and the bacon is always nice, fresh & Little crispy.. and to add insult to injury Northside deli charged me $10 per sandwich, completely disgusting & so disappointing.. every other deli I have ever gone too makes a fresh BLT that tastes great & charges me $7.00- Northside deli charged me $48 for 4 BLTs and 4 medium size coffees.. I normally go next door to the bagel shop every Sunday morning where everything is always fresh and reasonably priced but I figured I give Northside deli a shot, never crossed my mind that a deli can mess up a simple BLT sandwich.. unfortunately they did.. really disgusting.. all the sandwiches went straight into the garbage & my $48- went down the toilet.. strongly recommend not to visit this establishment especially when there's a really nice bagel place next door.. I really hope the owners of this deli read this and contact me, and offer me some kind of a refund or work something out with me or even an apology will do.. that would go a long way in my book.. I would remove this post and possibly give them another shot but, I'm not going to hold my breath..

Last week myself, my coworkers and manager order lunch from here. We texted our order in to make it easier, after texting our order in, my manager received a confirmation text stating that our food was ready. Once arriving, the worker claim I needed to wait for half my order. I waited roughly 15 minutes for the order. The worker told me the orders were ready and I paid for them and walked out the door. I double checked in the bag before I left because I wasn’t sure if I had paid for all my order. I noticed that I was missing half my order and I receded to walk back inside claiming I was missing half my order. The staff member looked at me and said what else am I missing and I told them the order number. He looked at me and started to make the sandwiches. When arriving back at work we noticed that our all of our sandwiches were made incorrectly. My manager proceeded to call and stated what happen. While on the phone , the deli manager proceed to tell us “That we didn’t know what we were talking about” and proceed to argue with us about the order and what had transpired. My manager proceed to drive back to the deli and stated she wanted the food made correctly! Never have I been so disrespected, truly a terrible experience!

I was the only customer in the store and had 3 grown men yelling at and laughing at a woman for not agreeing with them… sad, especially since my family has been good customers there for years. For some strange reason, the older, balding, heavy-set day manager, after hearing me ask that question, said, "You first need to be a loyal customer." Somewhat surprised, I retorted, "Do you want me to leave?" The day manager then absurdly replied, "not without your food", to which I said, "Want to try me?" Fortunately for him, he smartened up and didn't say a word, knowing I was serious...and somewhat annoyed. Look, I realize this deli has been a long standing fixture in Northport, but I just moved to the area. As such, I have not had the time to demonstrate extended "brand loyalty". However, by me asking for a loyalty card, any reasonably intelligent individual would know I was looking to establish a relationship with his store. Well, absent an apology, I plan on taking my business to one of the many delis in the area.
