I decided to order and try the food despite all of the bad reviews. And honestly I don’t know why so many bad reviews. The food is amazing, well seasoned, great portion for take out. It was love at the first bite. My husband ordered a sesame chicken, and I ordered a beef and broccoli, both with fried rice. I will definitely be ordering there again!
Always great food. And friendly service. The speed of production and delivery are awesome . I love their sushi! And General Taos chicken is good.

Love this place very yummy
Todo muy sabroso, lugar limpio y agradable
Amazing food, I'm a vegetarian and they have vegetarian options...very friendly great atmosphere ...I only get chinese from here now...
Love Happy Wok. I Moved to Texas but every time I visit Long Island I always stop by to get my Chinese food
I'm going there for years Good food sushi's okay close by
Excellent food and fast service. Small little place mostly suitable for pick up or delivery.
Always very good 👍 I have only had the sushi 🍣. Yum yum
The food is delicious, but the lady behind the counter needs to work on her friendliness skills.
Very friendly staff, fast turnaround, good quality
One of the things I miss the most after moving from Northport was Happy Wok.
Some of the best chinese food around, especially the lo mein.
Reliable, great prices and quick service. What more can you ask for?
Food is great...fast...And can order online
Always good option for fresh Chinese or Japanese food.
good place..very fast..i always leave with something free.
Very polite customer service, I appreciate their patience.
good take out
Great food and great prices.
Best Chinese spot on Li!
Very underrated Chinese food! My family loves it here and we’ve been ordering takeout for years!
I have been getting take out from here for few years now. I have tried many dishes from both the Chinese and Japanese menus and have always been satisfied. I especially love the duck dishes the have, including peking. They also give you a nice portion when ordering sashimi. Enjoy!
I like the service here, the boss always remembers my food, I feel very happy, the food is delicious... Highly recommend this Chinese restaurant...
Happy wok is my favorite place to get chinese food in northport. Been coming here for 10 + years and its always amazing.
Amazing quality food. I ordered the wonton soup and lo mein and it was so good i can't get enough. Nothing hits the spot like Happy Wok!
Brought chicken wing pork fried rice 6/22/24 food was really tastey the price was reasonable definitely recommend
I have known Jennifer at Happy Wok over 15 years and she runs a small and strong restaurant with delicious Chinese food and sushi . "Happy Wok is the very best" !
Food is good, price reasonable. Delivery time reasonable and as stated. Food is hot on delivery. Would recommend, and would order from again.
Food is always excellent. Have been going here for 16 years. Great place for Chinese and sushi.
Everything here is my comfort food. So good. Love the chicken fried rice, steamed wontons, and soups especially. However, if you have a sensitive stomach, I do not recommend the sushi. Spent a day in the bathroom after trying it, but at least I didn’t have to go to school that day! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The best Chinese food in the area. A cute well kept store front, friendly prompt service and excellent food. I really love egg foo young, and I can never find quality egg foo young anywhere, but at Happy Wok, their roast port egg too young is always hot, delicious and satisfying! It is truly my favorite Chinese joint in the area. The storefront may be small, but the employees are excellent and the food is the best in town.
My family has been ordering from here for years. When we don’t want to cook, we go to Happy Wok for a quick, reliable, inexpensive, and delicious bite. We have had both take out and delivery. My food always comes out great. One time they forgot one of my items, but in the end, they made it right. If you’re reading this, give Happy Wok a try. They are a staple in the Northport community
This place is hands down one of the best Chinese food places out. It’s a mom and pop shop with an amazing and friendly child who is extremely kind. The crispy pork was to die for and I’ve had nothing like it before. If you want a place where there’s love cooked in the food come here. The chicken was the perfect texture and melts in your mouth, and they are very sanitary. The clean everything so well
Been coming here for years; they’ve always been cheap and reliable. Crab rangoons are the best! Customer service is meh, but that’s how a lot of these mom and pop shops are.
Our family has been going for twenty years plus since it became a Chinese Restaurant after KFC left Northport back in the 90's. The food is always hot and tasteful. Jennifer is always so sweet and her son Aiden is a delight. Locals know him well since he was a baby. The prices are average and the staff is friendly. But I do get some people don't like it and that's why we can leave unbiased reviews. IMO this place rocks.
You can eat in but I think the majority of people do take out. It is great they have other Asian dishes as well as Chinese. I have done take out from this place on and off for over 23 years. I felt the food ran hot n cold for a bit after n during Covid. These days it is back to full throttle serving great tasting and quality portion food. 👍

Ordered takeout here for the first time. Was slightly skeptical from seeing the mixed reviews and experiences but nonetheless I decided to give them a try since most of my go to Chinese places are closed on Mondays Ordered the sesame chicken lunch special, that came with Wonton soup and I also got Dim sum one of my favorite appetizers to get and honestly I was pretty impressed. The food was still hot and fresh even when it was delivered. Portion sizes were very sizable for the price and the flavors were just where they needed to be! From the savory dim sum, tasty salty pork bits in the fried rice, and a slightly spicy sesame chicken sauce. Only real let downs was the wonton soup tasted off, like it was made with a Miso base if I had to guess. Some of the onion bits in the fried rice didn't taste as fresh and stood out in a bad way. If I had to give another rating I would give it a 7 out of 10 for being really solid and surprisingly tasty even with some off bits here and there it wasn't as bad as some other reviews made it out to be.
Shrimp lomein wonton soup fried rice n egg roll...all pretty good..quik stop for lunch/dinner..can sit there at a table not just for take out..

Food is good, but they should try to expand to credit and not just cash. Or invest in an ATM.
Great family run business. Wouldn't eat in though.
Good food, both Chinese and Sushi
Good food
Take out
Consistent quality and friendly service
I’ve had better food, But not bad by any means! Decent food. I will say the tofu was amazing! For a Take-out style Chinese place, I give it a solid 3.5-4 stars.
Happy Wok is a small Northport NY Chinese mostly take-out restaurant with limited seating. They offer under $10 dollar lunches that include soup and a relatively large portion entree and a soft drink. The quality of the food is above average and the service is quick and polite.
No atmosphere so I do take out. It's pretty good . The closest to Crab Meadow that's worth it. Beef w/Veg, Veg w/Tofu, Kung Pow, Gen Tso, Steamed dumplings etc...all good.nice people too.
Love Mein with shrimp , generous portion was great. . sushi was fresh,, pretty and yummy. Both presentation s were superb. Good wonton, good egg drop soup.
Above average Chinese food depending on your taste. They are unique in that they also offer Japanese and thai food as well. I suggest that you try them as they offer many unique dishes.
Rude and not accommodating on the phone. The spoke to me like they were doing me a favor by taking my food order. The food was good.
Should be called unhappy wok terrible attitude snotty service but good food
Leak in the ceiling very hot
Easy pick up for quick dinners but food is inconsistent . The soups are just broth basically and the beef and chicken dishes tend to be mushy and not crisp.
It's unexpected anything fancy. But the food is generally good and reasonably priced

Pretty damn bad. Customer service is ng to boot. Kind of nasty people. Go elsewhere is my suggestion.
Probably some of the worst chinese food I ever had. The woman behind the counter was nasty. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Cold place, don't eat there, take out only
Good food...horrible customer service.
Cheap but disappointing.
They forgot our brown rice, lo mein was just ok, egg foo young was burnt and sauce was not good. Very disappointed. We used to really like the food here.
Not so Happy Wok Over 1 hour standing the restaurant after the pick up time waiting for the sushi portion of my order. The worst part of it is after the long wait, the careless attitude and when we got it home you could see that it was rushed to the point of looking in edible. The sesame chicken was tasty but had no sesame seeds on it and the fried rice was Meh! Done with the Wok!
Messed up my order twice in a row. They treat soy sauce packets like they're gold. I asked for extra, I got 2- total! Asked for chopsticks- none. This was on an order with enough food for 3 people, no less. The crispy beef is literally all beef. Big portion, but no vegetables at all? A giant tupperware of beef? Menu doesn't mention it being very, very sweet either. Other items were good, but Hot & Sour soup is stingy on the tofu. Delivery guy wouldn't speak to me, just turned his back and walked out in a huff after receiving his tip. Seemed rude on the phone, long delivery time, too. Same delivery guy reportedly tried to con $10 out of another resident. Go with Golden China instead.. Nothing but good things to say about that place's service and food, even if their menu isn't as big.

One hour and 45 minutes for delivery and the food was ice cold. Kept calling place and couldn’t get a straight answer. Stay away, very far away.
Beyond disappointed. Sushi went right into the trash.
Food was terrible, chicken was like rubber, order was wrong $100 in the garbage. 🤮
The people are not friendly and sushi was small. Also short one
Jade Palace or Happy Wok, which is it?
I do not recommend this place. it's dirty. I saw the master of the kitchen cleaning the utensils with a white cloth, but it was almost black with dirt, when he realized that I was watching him, he hid that dirty cloth. Now the lady who serves customers is not friendly or cordial. He has to go study human relations, he should at least smile😖. I have negative stars -10.
I have tried this place 3 times and the food is lousy. The boneless spare ribs tasted like cardboard. The chicken was hard in the general chicken. This place should find a new chef. I no I should call and return the food. But it wa just to much trouble. Will not use them again.
I went here last night with my friend and the place seemed really sketchy, that should’ve been the sign to hop up outta there and bolt. Walking in was hella confusing because no one said anything to us! We had to walk up and grab the menu ourselves and then walk up and ask to order. Once we ordered i sat down in a booth and the booth was rocking back and forth! Didn’t feel stable at all. Our fried rice came out suspiciously fast and it was dry and tasteless so we had to dump loads of soy sauce on it to get any kind of flavor. Soon after my miso soup came out too but the woman held it with her fingertips, not on a tray which was a little weird and unsanitary if you ask me. Shortly after we saw the same woman walking towards us with what we assumed was our sushi (Philadelphia, Shrimp Tempura, and Spicy tuna rolls) but she turned back around because they forgot to put the CREAM CHEESE in the Philly roll!!!! That’s the most important part!!! We ate the rolls anyway because spent $16 like I’m not gonna waste it. However as i was eating my rolls i was chewing on the salmon in the philly roll for quite some time, very hard to swollow (i only ate 2 cause it was impossible to eat) and as i was eating my spicy tuna roll i would come across some tiny hard things that i assumed was sesame seeds but at this point I’m not sure. My friend and i were very disappointed with the service and the food when we left. To make the situation even better we ended up with FOOD POISONING! We both have terrible stomach aches and are puking quite often, should’ve gone with my gut feeling and left the second we got there. DONT GO HERE!!!!!!
Delivery took an hour+ and I live Down the block; Chinese food was practically inedible. Sushi was tolerable but I didn’t save my leftovers. Shrimp tempura in roll was stale and chewy.
The hot & sour soup was neither hot or sour. Ordered a quart, had a cup & dumped the rest. Had a dragon roll & it was not eatable. It was made with the skin on the fish & couldn't chew it. Thought we would give it a try but wouldn't go back. Also, I ordered in advance, showed up 10 minutes late and they hadn't even started to make the order
Cashier is never happy to see me. Asked for chicken chow mein and asked her if she had it and she said yes but got chop suey. Complete waste of money.
The most nastiest thing I have ever had my 9 year old couldn’t even have a bite before spitting it out even my 8 year old felt disgusted swallowing the food and my self I was like oh nooo and threw it all out it had such a weird nasty smell like pure musty like no way in hell we eating that. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE !
I ordered some food and when it was delivered the chicken had so much sodium in it I could not even eat it. I call to let them know and instead of saying sorry I was cursed out with the f...word not to call back because nobody else never complain about there food so I went and took back the food for them and told them to eat it and tell me how it taste.
The food arrived over and undercooked, rushed and disgusting; The rice was like rice pudding mush! whoever owns this restaurant has no pride in their business, stay away!
There is a smell as soon as you walk in. I order chicken wings with fried rice and was terrible, maybe there's other plates that taste better but won't be going back to try them.
This restaurant is now serving lab grown chicken. It’s not real chicken. It doesn’t taste like real chicken. It doesn’t look like real chicken. They are serving lab grown chicken. It is disgusting and they don’t tell you that they’re serving you this garbage. I think they should be assigned or something that lets you know what it is they selling you. I wouldn’t buy food from there ever again. If they’re selling lab prone chicken, they are no doubt selling lab grown beef. Avoided at all cost.
The sushi was warm. Beef with mixed veggie had spoiled mushrooms. The smell inside the restaurant was similar to mildew and urine. I hate to hate on this place since it's less than a mile from my house, but it made me sick, so I'm bitter.
As a person that LOVES Chinese cuisine, i had to write a review for this place. i work all over the island and I am always looking for Chinese food in my work area.I would RECOMMEND you to not waist time and money with this place. I ordered shrimp and lobster sauce with white rice and it was terrible. That’s my test dish for all new Chinese restaurants. I also ordered an egg roll and a small egg drop soup. The dish was extremely bland, vegetables were not cooked properly and the egg drop soup didn’t taste right. The only good thing was that they offer you big shrimps in this dish, everything else was not so great. Good thing I ordered an egg roll, because I had to chuck the left over rice and egg drop soup.
I want to leave no stars review as I’m currently recovering from a food poison from this place. We ordered 2 different entrees last night and mine was chicken mu-shu. The other dish was sesame chicken which tasted very rubbery. Their food is very low quality. Oh and we found something that looked like a small tooth inside one of spring rolls. Disgusting. You can do better.
I ordered my food to be delivered at 4:40pm. It came at 5:15. I paid cash . They forgot my egg rolls. I called and waited till 6:45 to call them to see why they haven’t come back yet. They said they were busy and will come later. LATER!!?? They got to my house to give me the egg rolls at 7:45. On top of all this the food was sooooo bad. . They use to be good 20 years ago. Oh well. Will move to another place.
Ordered here for the first time, trying another place for a chance. Biggest waste of two whole hours of my life I'll never get back. Ordered a $40 meal and got there 20 minutes after putting it in. They had me waiting another 30. I get to the door with my bag. They stop me and call the bag back to "make sure it's right". I leave. I get all the way home and tell me they gave me the wrong order. I go all the way back pick up my "correct order" and get home to discover it's missing a whole entree. Now they offer to deliver it. Two hours into this whole nonsense. My compensation? An extra egg roll for all this crap. What a joke. First and last time. Get your act together.
