food and service were amazing! i was in and out within 30 minutes. portions are HUGE for the price, will definitely be coming back!
A Hidden Gem for Sushi Lovers! 🍣✨ I was looking for a good sushi spot closer to home and came across this place on Google. After checking out the photos and reviews, I decided to give it a try—and I’m glad I did! The sushi here is top-notch—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. One thing I really appreciated is that they offer smaller portions of their rolls (e.g., 3 or 4 pieces instead of the usual 6), making it easy to sample a variety of items. I ordered the salmon hand roll, salmon raincoat roll, rock shrimp roll, and miso soup—all were delicious! The quality of the fish was excellent, and each roll was crafted with care. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is laid-back, and the staff is super friendly. Even with just one waitress, the service was great. If you’re a sushi fan, I highly recommend checking this place out!
If you're not looking for fast food sushi, this is the place. Delicious ponzu sauce. Sushi has never failed me. Small place but worth the wait.
Here’s the rundown: What I tried: I went for the Eel roll and the Dynamite roll. Seriously, the Eel roll was something else—super tender eel, not too fishy, just right. They drizzled this sweet sauce over the top that just tied it all together beautifully. It’s a must-try if you go. Then, the Dynamite roll, true to its name, was just explosive. It was this spicy mix of seafood that was perfectly balanced—not too hot but with just enough kick to keep it interesting. Vibe of the place: It’s pretty laid-back and unpretentious. Just a cozy little spot that puts all the focus on the food. The decor isn’t anything flashy, but it’s comfortable, and you feel pretty relaxed sitting there. Service: Really solid. Our server was on the ball, super friendly, and knew the menu inside out. Gave us some great recommendations and was attentive without hovering too much. Just made the whole experience smooth. Overall thoughts: Honestly, the place was great. Both rolls were standout, but that Eel roll was a highlight for me. I’d say it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving some quality sushi.
Overall, 2 Die For Sushi caught me off guard from the ambiance, to the food, and to the service. Hands down a nice little hole in the wall in the valley when it comes to sushi. We opted for the Omakase ($45 dine in only) with one extra app and roll, and to say we were full was an understament. If you're looking for a fun little sushi date or just craving it, you gotta go, and you won't regret leaving or your wallet hurting.
Had a great experience temperature check at the door, social distancing honored for COVID-19. Service was great and the Sushi was good and a great variety. Seating is available outside and shade is adequate on a hot day. If you are in the valley and looking for a decent Sushi place with great service and that won't break the budget too much this is a good spot to experience. Keep up the great work "2 Die For Sushi".
I've been dining here every few weeks for nearly a year and every visit has been great. Service is friendly, portions are generous, and quality is very good and consistent.
Went there for lunch on a saturday, nobody else in the place. Got their premium chef choice lunch happy hour special, was exceptionally good! Here are some of the pieces I got!
The service was quick and the food was brought to us by the owner of the company. The presentation they put into their cuisines are beautiful.
Might be the best Sushi I've had by far. The employees are polite and very attentive. Would give 6 stars if I could. Highly recommend the Lobster Crunch Roll, Very Delicious.

Great service, and plenty of delicious choices
Love this place. I come here 2 times a week for dinner after the gym. Food is great, staff is amazing and not to crazy on the pricing. 10/10
The food was fantastic. The fish was very fresh. Definitely would recommend coming here. 💯
Hidden gem doesn't even begin to describe To Die For Sushi. Nestled in a humble space in Northridge, this place is so unassuming you might walk right past it--but don't. Because once you walk in and sit at the bar, you'll realize you've discovered one of the best sushi experiences in all of Los Angeles. Chef Danny is a true artist. We had front-row seats to his craft and were mesmerized watching him turn simple ingredients into edible masterpieces. Every slice, every plate--pure precision and passion. We shared a bento box with mixed tempura, mixed sushi, and sashimi, and were blown away by the variety and balance. The Heart Attack (fried jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and topped with spicy tuna) was absolute fire--bold, indulgent, and perfectly crispy. The Toro and salmon were melt-in-your-mouth perfection--fresh, buttery, and honestly some of the best I've had anywhere in L.A. Our server, Samantha, was fantastic--warm, attentive, and clearly knew the menu well. She made great recommendations and timed everything perfectly. This place is a sushi lover's dream, without the pretense or the inflated prices of trendy spots. The prices are really affordable and the quality top notch. I have paid a lot more for so much less elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and sit at the bar--watch the magic happen, savor every bite, and thank me later. #ToDieForSushi #NorthridgeEats #SushiMasterpiece #HiddenGemLA #LAfoodie #SushiArt #ChefDannyMagic #BestSushiInLA #SupportLocalRestaurants #SushiHeaven #sushi #losangeles

At the risk of this place getting too popular, I have to say that this is our great Friday night sushi hideout. It blends into the Reseda business district and we love it because it's small and quaint, but the sushi is so good! And the quality and value is amazing.
I went to 2 Die For Sushi in Reseda. The food was okay, not great but not terrible either. What really stood out was the green tea. It was honestly incredible, probably one of the best I’ve had. The service was polite and attentive without hovering. The space feels calm and clean, with a welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger a bit. I wouldn’t rush back for the food alone, but I didn’t walk out disappointed.
We came here on Monday evening. It was empty, but the staff were very sweet and the service girl was attentive. The food looked very presentable and tasted really yummy. We ordered a baked salmon roll, a fish tempura roll, and a cucumber roll. The only negative for us was that the taste of the crab meat kept regurgitating throughout the rest of our day. Regardless, overall the food was tasty, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and we would definitely recommend this restaurant!
The 2 Die For Sushi provides many excellent sushi and Sashimi dishes. The fish is fresh and presentation is wonderful. The yellowtail belly is fatty and tasty. The sauce on the scallops was elegant. The premium chirashi has many variety of fish. I enjoyed a bottle of Strawberry Nigori ($12) very much.
It's good. Yuzu flavored everything is delicious. The location is a little meh. Service is fine.
Great experience overall. The atsmophere was very inviting. The food was delicious. My 5 year old son had the chicken dumplings and I totally forgot what I ate but here's a pic :) Parking is very easy.
This place has very fresh, delicious sushi and the prices are excellent. The service isn't extremely attentive, but it isn't terrible either. It is a great hole in the wall type place for grubbing on a big variety of sushi (I highly recommend the BSCR). If you're looking for a fancy place, this won't fit the bill, but it is perfect for a more casual date night.

Food was pretty good, prices were not too bad, the service was mundane and unpleasant. The apathetic waiter with no enthusiasm of any kind asked us our order. When it came to pickup plates the waiter did so without the slightest effort and wouldn't even reach to pickup the plate we had to present it to him. Perhaps his back was out, perhaps a pulled muscle, perhaps he was having a bad day. But way would you ruin it for your patrons? Seems counterproductive to hire such dispassionate employees and pay them 12 dollars minimum per hour and a tip for atrocious service.
