Been coming to this Denny's for many years. Everyone is very polite very friendly. Top notch servers in the morning there like Brenda Augustine and Sylvia. I highly recommend this place.

They were in the middle of a deep cleaning or something. And short staffed. The wait was a little bit longer for our food. The young man waiting on us was really very sweet. I wish I had gotten his name. I would really like to send him some positive vibes. He was very attentive, he seemed a bit nervous, as if he was new to the role of server. He did a great job. And I hope he gets the props that he deserves. Overall because of this young man... I have no complaints. Thank you for making our evening out with our grandson a good one. Keep up the good work!

We get such good service here, that we moved our group's meetings to this location. The food has improved over the last few years. They removed the tent. So all service is indoors or pick-up. Staff are attentive and considerate. This is a great place to be a regular. Better than "Cheers" ;-) I ordered a cheese and sauteed mushroom omelet. The chef also added a few bits of sauteed onions. Such a good omelet ! Thanks.

As the host for the valley LUG meetings, this establishment has been wonderful and generous, in addition to the food itself. The server José is particular helpful.

My group meets at Denny's Northridge once a week. The breakfast is always the perfect American breakfast, and the service is excellent.

Actually ended up here for Thanksgiving. Staff was polite food was good. The best part is we where not harassed for having a service animal. ( a legit one with papers and all,not like people who take pets places, she is trained professionally) That was the part that was appreciated the most. Lots of times we have to go through the whole pulling out the license and all. Another notable thing was how a Manager handled a very extremely rude customer. The customer was irate and even dumped glasses of water on the table!! The manager and staff held their cool the entire time and once the customer left he went to every table to apologize! It wasnt his fault but this manager went above and beyond in this case. I wish I had gotten his name. I was very impressed.

Our neighborhood Dennys has been a staple for me and my kids for a decade or so. Food is ok, but our regular server is everything! Rita makes us feel welcome, special and is so much fun!

Stopped by last night around 3 am. The food hit the spot. Highly recommend their chocolate shake. Their Salvadorean waitress Olga was super nice and welcoming. The chicken strips, mashed potatoes with gravy, and moons over my Hamy sandwich were a chefs kiss.

I visit the San Fernando Valley Linux user group here, and it runs every other week. We meet up at around 6 to 7 pm and then hang out until 12 am. The server who helps us, Jose, is always there, taking our orders, and keeping track of who got what, which can get hectic when we have 9+ people. The food is good, and I like the dessert options, particularly the brownie and ice cream combo.

I could Honestly say he's by far the best waiter I've encountered in a long time! He was busy and still managed to keep our coffee nice and filled. Our food was delicious and flavorful. Very content with his service and I noticed all staff was pleasant. Definitely coming back to this location after prior horrible experiences in the past this is now my favorite Dennys! We go to this Denny's twice a month. All Denny's have great food, but this one has a special server, Rita. As soon we open the door we can hear her laughter and jokes with other customers. She takes good care of my mother and I. Having breakfast with Rita is fun and filling. 🤣❤️😂

This is one of the nicer locations I’ve been to. Food was really good. I got a classic cheeseburger and my coworker got a BLT. The lunch did not disappoint and our server was very attentive. He’d fill our drinks when the were half down and regularly check on us.

I ordered the Santa Fe skillet and it was perfectly made. The potatoes were fresh and hot the mushrooms perfectly cooked and the chorizo and sausage and eggs were also great. I personally want to thank the cooks for this awesome meal thanks again

This Dennys has been our favorite for years, everyone that works here is friendly and very helpful. JJ has always been so helpful and knowledgeable about the menu always offering new menu items. We look forward every week to our date night at Dennys. The new remodel looks modern and hip.

Not much different to any other Denny's. The staff was friendly, and our waitress seemed a little nervous, maybe since it was nighttime and fairly quiet when we entered. She was amazing, and despite a bit of the wait for our large order, she was still really nice about everything.

09/13/2025 I used to go to the one at Reseda and Saticoy especially around 2023 and 2024 and I love their chocolate shakes. This particular one however, gives more chocolate shakes than the one at Reseda and Saticoy. Denny's have one of the best shakes. I always go for Denny's, Jamba Juice, and Fat Sal's when it comes to shakes.

I have seen good and bad Denny's locations. This one is definitely good. I mostly have breakfast here, and the staff is always attentive. The food is excellent for the price. I find that the complainers are usually the ones demanding unrealistic expectations of the staff. If you come here seeking an inexpensive, quick meal with no frills, this is your place.

As usual amazing service at this Denny’s location friendly crew or I should say staff. I had the cinnamon roll pancakes scrambled eggs and bacon. It was delicious. If you like cinnamon rolls I recommend it.

It's not that she was a bad waitress. She actually was pretty good but she was alone for too many tables to service. We waited for almost 40 minutes for our food around midnight. Good pumpkin pancakes. We got to enjoy them while we can. They come in the fall than no more!

Service is beautiful and delicious food. However, cooks are rude to the servers. It's 1/11/2015 8:30 am. Cooks are very loud and rude, it's not a relaxing atmosphere as the tension in the kitchen is high. Servers should complain about the cooks. Please do something about this behavior.

This was on Christmas Day! I took my sister to a slightly out of the way Denny's and we actually were seated right away! She had the Tyrkey Dinner with mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy and cranberry sauce while I had the Bourbon Chicjen Skillet. Both meals were served within a fair amount of time, and were hot and accurate. Service was great, with the server checking if we needed anything every time that she passed the table. They were busy, so that was quite a few times; (one way to ensure that no one was missed.)

It's Denny's. They have food. They're open all the time. What's there to dislike? At the same time, nothing to rant and rave about. Sometimes, the service here is great. My most recent visit, it was good except for the fact that the table was not clean. It wasn't altogether dirty either, but it wasn't clean. But if you sit down and wait long enough, they bring you food every time. And that's how Dennys are born.

Been to this Denny's several times recently and they've delivered on just about everything except for their Slamburgers. This visit and the last visit, I ordered a DOUBLE Slamburger, and both times, I only got Slamburgers with ONE burger patty. The only thing that has kept me from getting them to try and get it right was how long it took for them to get my food out at all, fearing that it would take just as long along, if not longer, to get my order the way it SHOULD'VE cone out. My pancakes, samplers and everything else have come out as they should.... Why not the Slamburgers? On the off chance that anyone working at this Denny's is actually reading this.... Please have whoever is in charge of getting orders out retrained, as I DO NOT want to come back and be charged for something that I did not receive.

It was fine this time. I met a friend for lunch here and had a hamburger with fries and a drink. So that was perfectly fine. They were relatively fast, and the food was adequate. The last time I was here was for dinner, and I had a different experience. The food had not been properly heated on that occasion and the service was slow, considering the number of people there.

Was a typical busy Sunday late morning. Took a while to be seated which was to be expected. Once seated however it was a good 25-30 minutes until I decided to get up and find a waiter. The manager took our order without writing it down (I don't understand why they insist on doing this) came back to tell us the soda machine was not working....not their fault I guess, but inconvenient nonetheless. Our food took a long time to arrive. And realized they got my order WRONG! Not just a thing or two but the whole darn thing...Brought it to the manager's attention (the one who took my order without writing it down) he insisted that is in fact I ordered! I explained that I am allergic to olives and that I didn't believe I overlooked that their were olives in my omelet (I had never ordered this before so I wasn't positive) then he told me it was impossible to pull all the olives out...my husband had enough sense to bring out the menu...and sure enough it was the absolute wrong omelet! They agreed to replace my omelet but it didn't come until my family was just about ready to leave. This is our usual Denny's and the worst experience we've ever had. Very disappointed

Never going here again. They were making me feel extremely rushed to get out. I ordered AYCE pancakes and after each order they would give me a receipt, assuming that I was finished. Then a different man than our waiter (manager?) basically told me that I was sharing my pancakes with my wife but I wasn't. How insulting and disappointed I was. I still could have eaten at least another 3-4 orders but felt accused and uncomfortable, so I paid and left.

Bad service. The main bigger Hispanic waiter was rude and couldn't get the orders correct. The silverware was dirty. We had to send back more than one fork and knife. Wrong drinks were brought out and the waiter had an attitude when the mistakes were brought to his attention. Dennys isn't fine dining but I expect better than this and at least good service and clean dishes. They failed miserably in those departments.

Waiter was being rude and condescending towards my partner when they were simply asking for clarification for something on the menu. Their food also came out cold. Same waiter also handed us our food without looking as he was caught in another conversation with a fellow employee, which could've resulted in an accident. He also never tended to us throughout the meal, and since we were sat in a corner booth it was hard for us to see him and get his attention. We needed more water by the time he had brought us our food and we went the entire meal without him coming back and checking in. Keep in mind that this all happened while the restaurant was empty. There were no other people he had to service at this time.

My husband loves his place. The prices are good but like most Denny's that I visited needs a good cleaning there front doors are always dirty and their bathrooms can you some deep cleaning. So you can understand why I don't always want to eat there.

Services was not good at all. Our server was rushing to get our order and gave attitude when asked for a couple more minutes. His facial expressions speak louder than words. Other than the bad service, the restaurant smelled nasty.

This was hands down the DIRTIEST Denny's I've ever been to in my life. We walked in and the place was practically empty, which is fine with me. We were there at about 330 pm on a Saturday afternoon. They sat us in a booth near the rear next to the kitchen. The booth was sticky to the touch, yuck. The menus were sticky, the condiment bottles were sticky, the floor was sticky. It just FELT dirty. We asked to change booths and they let us; but now the issue was the food. First, the water was disgusting, it tasted like the syrup from the soda got into the water. My husband ordered the pot roast with vegetables, the carrots weren't cooked at all. My burger was burnt, my daughter's fruit was way over ripe. The food just wasn't good. The waiter must have been the only person there to serve the entire place because I didn't see anyone else helping out so needless to say service was lacking. After the food was delivered he never came back again to check in, I had to flag him down to get the bill. And the worst part was the restrooms. Dirty, dark (because one of the overhead lights had blown out) and dank. I will never come here again. Any location is better than this place.

From beginning to end it was horrible service and it matched the cold dry breakfast my family ate. I understand the employees are in a hurry but it felt like we were rushed to order and all the employees had a bad attitude towards us even though we were acting politely. It's been awhile I haven't been in a Denny's and it'll be the last due to bad customer service and overpriced dull food. If you don't care about good food and decent customer service keep coming to Denny's.

I don’t know & didn’t get his name but the server who was an older Hispanic man with light gray hair has to be the rudest, most incompetent server I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant I been to. Was constantly ignored, my coffee end up getting cold because he forgot the creamer. I had to ask another server for creamer & I’m told they ran out of it. How unprofessional. If that’s the case, let someone know that. I ended up not wanting the coffee. He comes back & gives me attitude when I asked for tea instead. Of course I did, my coffee got cold. With no notepad in his hand, he asks, “so, what do you want now?” With so much attitude in his voice. I got up & left. I asked for the manager but he surprisingly wasn’t available. This happened on 12/16 at about 11:30am. I still would like to speak with the manager here. This is unacceptable. Truly disgusting behavior.

The server was very rude, never came to check on us. When he did check on us he just quickly asked if we want the bill and a box but didnt let us respond when we wanted more of something. There was another table near us also being neglected.

Eggs were served cooked on bottom and raw on top. Waitress replied “that’s just how they are”. Eventually took them back but came back unappetizing

I’m not knocking my server at all. He provided great service at the hour I visited, which was about 3-4am. It was empty and it was a quick order and serve. My issue was with the food. While it tasted delicious on the way down.. definitely got a bad batch of something because my guts were donezo! Within 30 minutes I was hurting and in need of a restroom. So definitely either the cook wasn’t on point or the utensils/plates weren’t cleaned properly. Again. Solid customer service, I even left a tip. But that cook or washer needs to be mindful of their work and how that little bit of lack of care can ruins someone’s morning.

They gave me raw chicken, then when you’re getting takeout the waiter deliberately holds onto the bags and then just throws them at you on the table. I don't know if it's because we came in the middle of the night or what but the service today was terrible and so was the food. The restaurant was almost empty but it took forever for my friend and mine's food to come and the starter to come afterwards once with my water refilled and the waiter gave an attitude any time we spoke to him. It wasn't just us either he gave terrible service to the table across from us too. Now I know not to come back to this Denny's again. If you do come here and you get Andres ask for someone else. It took over 3 hours tonight and now they're taking forever with my card.

Asked for a grand slam burrito substitute the sausage for chorizo in burrito. There wasn’t really any chorizo and they didn’t mix the chorizo and eggs..when Carmen came around, I had asked if this is how they make the chorizo and eggs in the burritos she hesitated and then said yes.. it was mainly an egg burrito..there was basically no chorizo in my burrito and was soggy.. I also want to point out I had to leave my table multiple times to ask for things like lemon slices and napkins from other waiters because the waitress Carmen was nowhere to be found Barely attending the guess in the dining room booth area. don’t get me wrong I’m grateful that I got to eat with my friend today. I’ve eaten plenty of omelettes, but the one at Denny’s in Northridge, CA was the worst I’ve ever seen. They grilled the vegetables into an unrecognizable, soggy mess and folded them into a dried-out egg slab. They are not supposed to grill them at all. Even the waitress, with 23 years on the job, admitted she’d never seen a Denver omelette made this poorly. The manager offered no real help or concern. I’m crossing this location off my list, and you might want to consider doing the same. A complete waste of $17. I wish I could show you a picture here.
