Best home cook style filipino food! Go to any branded restaurants in LA from Max or Gerry’s grill and what you’ll find is something is missing. There’s something not right. Lillians is legitimately taste like home. Even their empanadas and their other treats and genuine Filipino food. Ube hopia! Shoooooot. I’ll order 12 to go after ordering a full meal. Summer time, order halo halo. And don’t even get me started on the denuguan. So good. It reminds me of the best places we eat back home. Do yourself a favor. Come here. We do! And yah it’s weird it’s in a car wash but there’s actually a cool trend of funky and cool restaurants located on car washes in LA.

Travelling from Vancouver, BC, we always find time to visit Filipino restaurants when we visit Cali. This time, found a gem after our rental broke down and waiting for a replacement. Authentic and traditional Kapampangan cuisine in the heart of Northridge mall food court. Hubby love the bopis and I enjoyed the dinuguan, with pakbet and half and half rice and pansit combo. First reaction was ‘manyaman!’. Two dozen fresh ulam choices with all day Silog dishes. Don’t miss the halo halo, super sarap with two scoops of ice cream, and turon fully stuff on every bite. Solid!!! Panalo!!! Deserves 6 stars!!!

This is definitely a hidden gem, get customer service and delicious authentic food. Didn't know I would find such an amazing meal inside the car wash lobby. Menu changes but it's all good because EVERYTHING IS 🔥.

Food was good. We had dinuguan, bopis, afritada. The portion was plenty and price is fair. This id definitely my family’s new go to filipino restaurant! (Sulit na sulit!)

I'll make this quick and simple as we all gotta get that halo-halo. Parking is not a problem ✅ Food is bomb-dot-com 💣💣💣 They give free sabaw (soup) ✅ No dine in due to covid restrictions. Order for pick up ✅ Bring cash for tips. Cards work as well. Pls tip them. Don't be a savage. ✅

I had their kare-kare and steam rice combo and buko pandan for dessert. The food was delicious and fresh, however kare-kare only had two tripes and their buko pandan was dry. It didn’t have any cream.

Best Filipino cuisine in this side of the San Fernando Valley! Located beside the famous Cruiser Car Wash and sharing location with top notch establishments like Costco, In and Out Burger, etc. This gem of a food place packs authentic all time favorite Filipino cuisine like pancit, adobo and the famous shrimp fritters! They also serve halo halo ( preserved mixed fruits) dessert on finely crushed ice topped with Philippine made fruit or purple yam ice cream too! You know this place is using top of the line quality ingredients for the food they serve and the service is fast and friendly. Drop by and check this jewel in the Valley if you're craving for authentic Filipino food!

The “BEST” Filipino Restaurant in California… All chicken and beef meals at this restaurant are the BEST. The meryenda such as Halo-Halo, Hopia, Empanadas and Ginataan are So Unique and Amazing!

People were so so kind, loved the customer service and the food was delicious, big portions making my money worth it. I'm planning in coming once a week. GOD IS GOOD

I came expecting a hole in the wall diner expecting no frills eggs. I was super disappointed to find I was in a Filipino restaurant and not an American diner. That went away super fast. They could tell that I was a newbie to Filipino food, but they welcomed me like a warm grandma having you over for a meal. They allowed me to sample things I hadn't seen in combination or heard of before. They smiled when I struggled to repeat the names of what I sampled. It was SUPER DELICIOUS!!! I came out spending less than I would have at Denny's (which is where I was going to go) and has a pleasant time. I also ventured into the sweet treats and baked items. I had a jackfruit banana thingy (yes, that's my technical term) and it is to die for! I also tried an empanada. Baked not fried, light flaky crust and super delicious. If your feet hurt from costco, you need a break after getting gas, or you are killing time at the car wash I suggest you give Lilians Breads & sweets a try. You will be pleasantly surprised!

Lilian's Filipino Restaurant, a true gem, located in the Northridge mall, proves that food doesn't need a fancy setting in order to be amazing! My regular go to is their lechon, which is a STANDOUT —perfectly juicy and delicious, with incredibly crispy skin. Their dinuguan and adobo are also delicious, packed with rich, authentic flavor. To be quite honest, you really can't go wrong with anything you order from their menu; it's all outstanding!

One of our go-to breakfast spots when we're in the mood for some delicious Filipino food. They have a great selection, and everything we've tried has been really good. They really maximize their space and make good use of everything available to them, plus they're all super nice :)

Best Ube Hopia I’ve ever had ever!!! Not too sweet and breading doesn’t fall apart like some other places. The Ube filling is chewy and delicious. Highly recommend!!

If you’re looking for authentic Filipino dishes, Lilian’s Bread & Sweets is where you should go. Their Picadillo is absolutely amazing and it’s worth the price. I even forgot to take a photo because it was gone before I remembered to take one! Although it was a little soupy, the flavor, texture, and aroma will remind you of grandma’s cooking. I highly recommend eating this dish with white rice. For dessert, of course, nothing will beat their Halo-Halo. I’ve tried Halo-Halo from different places and, by far, this is the best I’ve tasted. The portioning is good and you won’t have trouble mixing the ingredients because the ice is well-crushed. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who haven’t tried it yet!

Found this place while getting a car wash at Cruisers car wash. Absolutely love it❤ I got the 2 item plate. Pork adobo and dinuguan with rice an pancit. Also some ampalaya. This takes me back to when my grandmother used to make dinner for us grand kids! This place has so much more to offer from fried chicken skins cooked up crispy an delicious to fresh baked goodies an more! Best of all the halo halo is fantastic!!! Will certainly be returning an suggest this to anyone who love's good food! Thank you Lilian's, you guys are awesome! 🥰🥰

If you're looking for Filipino comfort food, this is the place. Had the 1-item combo with white rice. The binagoongan was very good! Big serving with two cups of rice. Or you can do half-white rice and half-pansit noodles. Great value.

I was at the wretzel pretzel line and I looked back and saw the sign for this place. I thought, “how unique, restaurant and bakery.” Left the pretzel place and came here. $13 for everything I got! Crazy great deal and it’s fresh food. With a drink! I found my new Filipino spot.

Hubby ordered food for a work event for 30 people. Ordered several of the items the day before. Order was ready on time for pick-up and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. We also enjoy the Braised Ribs and Chicken he brought home.

Really yummy and authentic (older Asian ladies taking your order). Pro tip go inside and order if it’s your first time. It’s buffet style so it’s easier to see the food instead of trying to figure out what you want from the menu or over the phone. I got the 2 combo with adobo and beef steak with half noodles and rice on the side.

You want to talk about under rated. This place is really under rated. I got taken here by some co-workers for lunch. ( I had passed by this place many times AND have gotten my car washed here) it is daunting for someone (like me) who doesn't know the names of the plates. But if your willing to get out of your comfort zone you won't regret it. This is now one of my favorite places to go for lunch

A

First time in this place. Finally made it after what friends told me. Food is good, Halo-halo is superb. The only downfall is the location. Not only is the place so hot, not air- conditioned in the midst of this heat wave, but we can also smell rubber from what the car wash is selling

I didn't want to eat at this place but my friend insisted, she said "You'll be surprised" and I really was. Furthermore, since I was there already; I also got my car washed because it's inside where you pay to wash your car.

1st time we came here, the place is not so great inside the carwash but most of the food is good. Some of the staff are not really friendly to help.

K

Came to try Lillian’s after seeing it highlighted on a tv show. We got the Halo halo and it was very unique but not something I would order every time. What I would order every time is the chicken empanadas. I’m sure all of them are great and they were $2.25 a piece making them very affordable and filling. We also tried the smaller sweet custard egg filled ones those are only $0.99. It was good too, fun to try new things. We also got the two plate dinner with pork and the beef with peppers. It was good too. But the winner of the night was the empanadas!

Location is bad (inside the car wash) but the food is excellent and reasonably priced. Visually the food looks very appetizing with tastes that match.

Authentic and Delicious Filipino Food! Highlights: - Tender and juicy sweet pork belly (my favorite side dish!) - Amazing value: generous portion sizes at affordable prices, which is rare nowadays - Warm hospitality: The staff is warm and welcoming, taking the time to explain each dish and sharing their passion for Filipino cuisine - Delicious buns (great value for a dozen!) - Rotating side dishes, so there's always something new to try If you haven't tried Filipino food yet, this is the perfect place to start! I highly recommend this restaurant for the food, service, and warm atmosphere! :) [Below are pictures I took from my past few visits]

I am really impressed by all the options made daily to choose from. This is the closest to authentic Filipino comfort food I have found outside of where I grew up in the Bay Area. -The Pancit bihon was delicious! Amazing flavor that was spot on! -The Pork Adobo was really good. Very tender and the sauce is very authentic! -The Lechon kawali was a bit dry and didn't have that trademark crunch, but the delicious dipping sauce saved it for me. -The 2 biggest misses were the hopia and turon. Hopia was dry and crumbly. Turon was just off and could use a little bit more filling inside. A fresh turon should have a little crunch as you bit through the sweet outer layer. These were soggy and chewy to the point it was hard to bite off a piece. Overall, good, and better than any place I've been in LA and on the westside.

The food is good, but not exceptional. Of note, the bitter melon (ampalaya) was well-prepared. Super friendly staff, but the music was waaaay too loud for the environment.

Lilian is a 🇵🇭 restaurant. Nice little place tucked in the back of a car wash, but dont let that fool you, the food is authentic as are the people who cook and serve you. The parking is a cross on the side of the car wash. 👍👌

Food is redundant same thing and over amd over never change menu. Customer service sometimes is slow, food its good, but alot of MSG. So cut down buying food from them.

Food was fine but next time I'll come earlier. Also, not all the food on menu is displayed so we only ordered what we saw. I will make another trip to be fair.

I discovered this place through a documentary. I tried the halo halo. It was good and big. Price is reasonable for the quantity. Hygiene might not be the best.

If you are buying pastry, go ahead it's tasty. But the food like dinuguan and daing na bangus : lacks flavor.

I tried their halo-halo hoping for a classic mix, but it was mostly colorful jellies and a few beans, with just a tiny slice of leche flan and scoops of ube and vanilla ice cream. While it looked bright and fun, it felt very minimal and lacked the variety and richness I expected from traditional halo-halo. A refreshing treat if you like jellies, but not the full experience.

I

As a vegetarian I got the veggie combo. I asked for their veggie options and she said the veggie roll and ampalaya. I ordered both. Upon eating the ampalaya I noticed what looked like egg was not all yellow. I asked the cashier if it had meat she said “yes, it has ground pork.” I told her I’m vegetarian and why would it be considered a veggie option? She said, “you didn’t ask if it had meat.” Luckily I didn’t eat much of the ampalaya for it to affect me. I was very disgusted with the service and the lack of awareness that wasn’t brought to the use of pork. I would not recommend this place for the lack of care for their customers varied restrictions.
