I had the Reign of Fire roll both times I went here, first for my birthday, then dragged a friend her for *her* birthday. It is not "fire" because it's spicy, it's the other kind of fire. It may be quite awhile before I tire of it enough to give their other selections a chance.

My go to place for authentically prepared Chirashi bowl when passing thru novato. The only thing i would recommend is cutting the fish pieces smaller to enjoy them in one bite.

Great sushi and pairs well with a short walk over to See's candy for dessert.

Love this place....everything tastes great but if all you want is flying fish roe and edamame with a cup of tea they still treat you just as well as they would if you were ordering 10 rolls and 2 bottles of sake

We love this place and frequent here on a regular basis. Food is great and it's definitely kid friendly. Also they are open on Mondays.... where as a lot of sushi restaurants aren't!

I love this restaurant so much. The sushi is always so fresh and delicious. I have never been disappointed in all the years I've been going here.

We go here whenever we can for our casual date lunch/dinner place. Located next to Ross and Ulta in Vintage Oaks. Incredible sushi made with high standards for freshness. The staff are also very friendly and attentive. They remembered us even the second time we dined. Recommendations: Rainbow Roll, Hot Mama Roll, Pretty Girl Roll, string beans, grilled calamari.

Sushi Holic is hands down one of the best sushi spots around! The sushi is always fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. I usually order the salmon sashimi dinner, and it’s always fresh, flavorful, and generous in portion. Their rolls are also really good, with great variety and consistently high quality. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit enjoyable. I also love that the wait times are short, even during busy hours. You never feel like you’re waiting forever to be seated or served. The service is consistently great, and the quality of the food is top-notch every single time. If you’re looking for a sushi place that delivers on taste, service, and atmosphere, Sushi Holic is the place to go!

The service was excellent, presentation of the food was also excellent and the creativity and flavor was outstanding. All the food we ordered was outstanding and the crispy salmon skin roll was unique and a standout. It was slightly smoky, nicely textured and delicious. The fried tofu with bonito flakes was also a real treat.

You rarely have to ask for something, they already see you need or are ready. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices.

A hidden gem. You would never know from the outside how warm and cozy this place is. And the sushi portions are huge and spectacular. Sit at the bar and watch the chefs work.

I have to keep this short and sweet due to timing, but hands down our favorite sushi place in Marin. I have loved everything I've had so far and been here with friends, family or dates over 20 times now. Super friendly and kid friendly too! Usually busy since the paper wrote them up, but worth the wait!! Pics attached of tonight's yumminess. My Must haves every time: -Passion roll -Alaskan roll or sweet Alaskan -Saba nigiri -Hot mama -Futomaki

Unfortunately the sushi roll I keep getting here is preventing me from doing that. It's so delicious! And it's nice to look at, I can't seem to crave anything else Every time I need to order my lunch, I just keep getting drawn right back to the 49er sushi roll (sometimes some miso soup). I've never had artisanal soy sauce before trying this place and it's now the only soy sauce I look for. Seriously this place is so good! Maybe one day I'll be able to try something different, but for now it looks like my taste buds have found a new favorite

The food is always great, very fresh and delicious combinations. Service is always fast and even when it’s busy I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated. These guys deserve way higher than a 4.2 ranking.

The volcano roll was really good and wholesome. One roll we had had an over-salted fish that made it less pleasant to eat. Overall good sushi and clean place

High quality sushi at reasonable prices. Large variety of choices. Casual friendly service. Good parking. The tempura was light and crispy, perfectly cooked for my taste, as was the soft shell crab. I ordered the crab with spicy mayo sauce, yum.

The food and service were excellent! It was a bit pricier than I expected. Highly recommend the Salmon Sashimi!!! It was $26, but was the thickest ever. The quality was the best I've had. As far as the prices, it is Marin and it is Sushi, so not cheap. But sooo worth it!

The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and it was clean. I ordered a green salad and a spider roll. The green salad was fresh and a really good portion size. So far so good. Then the spider roll came. First it was the size of half a roll and it was really dry. I could hardly swallow it. Maybe too much rice and not enough ingredients, maybe rice was dry, I don’t know but I won’t order it again and probably won’t go back.

My sushi rolls were soggy. As I waited for my rolls, I noticed both chefs use their cellphones and touch their hair/face and did NOT wash their hands before touching food again-- that is not food safe. I will not be returning.

We stopped by for an early dinner and ordered 5 rolls between 2 of us. The shrimp didn't taste fresh, the eel was very fatty (I know eel is usually fatty, this was more than normal), salmon didn't seem to be a good quality cut and the avocados they used were still hard / not ripe. The rice was well seasoned and the service was quick and friendly. Overall, the price was on the cheaper side for the area (standard rolls around $9-10) and you get what you pay for.

We regularly go here because their food tastes great. But 2 stars because the service was not good. Got the preliminary soup and salad but no utensils. Nothing. We had to ask a totally different server. Our original server was nowhere to be seen.

I did a to go order. I ordered miso soup which was great but my San Francisco roll was small for a classic roll and I wasn’t given any chopsticks. I walked in for pick up, she yelled my name across the restaurant and handed it to me with zero eye contact or thanking me for my business when they were not busy at all.

Don't order to go from this restaurant. Food is good, but they mess up order. Last time, I order a bunch of sushi (~$190), including two unagi. I got rice balls instead of the unagi.

This place used to be good with their food quality and portions, as well as their customer service; however they truly disappointed us tonight. Fish was very smelly and obviously spiced up to mask the taste and smell. The front end gentleman was disrespectful and did not even bother to give us chopsticks! We truly have been a supporter of small business during these difficult times, and love to see them thrive, however I do not believe SushiHolic appreciate it's customers and their support. They certainly have lost our support. STRONGLY recommend Taki sushi 🍣 ! They still seem to appreciate and value their customer.

Overpriced ok Japanese food. My Saba was mostly fat and not tasty , spicy tuna was bland, chewy seaweed on my $13 spicy tuna hand roll, $19 for Ramen!, and $27 for a dinner which they tried to charge me an extra $2 for but I noticed it. Total price for a dinner for 3 $98.80 including a tip!!! Yikes! Going to Japantown next time. Now, at home rushing to the restroom over and over. I want a refund, gross!

This place used to be fantastic. But as of late, their service seems to get worse and worse. It's always two ladies that take care of the floor. While they used to be warm and welcoming, they've become rude and harsh. The quality of their food is slipping as well. The teriyaki chicken seems to be fattier each time we order it. There was a time or two where it was even undercooked. We usually get their California rolls as well, as they were our favorite. But they're coming out poorly put together.

It’s my first time trying sushi holic and I will never come here again. ( YOU SHOULDNT EITHER)!!!! Starting things off when I paid for my order and I’m leaving out the door The waitress stops me so I can give her a tip even though I didn’t check mark for a tip on my receipt. When I refused to tip for my order, she started demanding how could you do this? Why are you not tipping me? Was an utter shock l’ve never had anyone demand for a tip. I didn’t have the confidence to tell her the reasoning, but I hope she reads this review 1. The miso soup that I received for my order wasn’t fresh. 2. The sushi is overpriced for the quality that you receive. 3. BE AWARE!! They will demand for a tip if it isn’t received.

A clean and reputable restaurant should never offer free food or drinks in exchange for a review. That is a clear red flag and suggests that many of the positive reviews are fake. See the posted sign inside the restaurant. The food itself was average, but the restaurant was not clean. Since they serve raw fish, this lack of hygiene could easily result in food poisoning
