My 5 year old and I love coming here! The food is super flavorful and quality. You truly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. We have always had a great experience with the staff being friendly and approachable. Caesar is our favorite server!! My son insisted we give him 5 stars! Highly recommend you ask for him. Not to mention the atmosphere and aesthetic are a bonus here.

We were seated immediately, even though it was a Saturday evening. The staff was really friendly. The food was amazing! That street corn was the best I've had, definitely recommend trying it!

Stopped in for lunch at Oakbrook Terrace location on a whim, and it was outstanding! We were pleasantly surprised at how unique the menu options were. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious! Although the margaritas were on the smaller side, they packed a punch with outstanding flavors. We will definitely return on our next trip to Chicago!

Great customer service. Greeted well by the front desk. Margaritas were excellent. Had Jalapeño & Pineapple and the Spicy Skinny margs🍸. Dinner was delicious. 👌 Ordered Cheese Crisps Roasted Poblano Chile & Tomato and Vegetarian Carmalized Sweet Potato enchiladas. Got seated on time at our reserved time. Our server Ondreaonna was courteous. Highly recommended.

Another delicious and fun place to eat on the southeast corner of Oakbrook Mall. Let’s begin with the chips and salsa. When you arrive, the staff brings you a warm bowl of chips and salsa that tastes just right. You can put your hands an inch away and feel the warmth coming off the chips. The salsa has a perfect flavor that isn’t too spicy. Next, the main courses: The chicken pastor tacos are mind blowing. They have a caramelized pineapple which makes this dish. I’ve eaten at many places and never had this combo. It’s worth every penny. My kids had cheese quesadillas with fries. Both were cooked just right. The enchiladas were good. One thing to note: if you order this, the sweet potato doesn’t have any additional flavoring. So double up on sauce or salt or seasoning. The rest was quite good. For dessert, we had Carmel flan and choco flan. We made those disappear 5 minutes. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. My kids are picky eaters and the staff were very helpful with menu choices. We also enjoyed the decor and ambiance. The plants hanging from the roof add a nice touch. The music volume is just right and makes you feel like you’re on vacation. And the kitchen is very unique because you can see it through the glass. We were seated immediately and had a great time. We will be coming back here again.

Omg whoever is back there in the kitchen deserves a chefs kiss! This was the best birria tacos I’ve ever had 🥰 the warm queso was also good!

We stopped in to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the .moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile. We were then seated and the staff was very friendly, accommodating and very well informed on their menu. We will definitely be back. The drinks are very delicious as well as their food.

Had a beautiful lunch at Blanco while traveling and wish we were coming back again. Happy hour menu was 🔥. Pitcher was delicious. Ceviche was top tier. Still thinking about it. Chicken pastor and carnitas tacos on homemade corn tortillas?! Incredible. Elote, don’t skip it. YUM. Get them all. You won’t be disappointed.

This place has amazing food, hospitable service and an incredible ambiance. From the indoor decor to the vibe of the bar! I would highly recommend you sit at the bar! They have the TVs going, the bar tenders do tons of bar trucks when they are making the drinks and they are super friendly!! Their menu has a relatively large selection of eats to choose from! I really love their salsa! I gobbled up their garlic shrimp in no time! I adored their dessert! I ordered their tres leches cake! I know I probably misspelled it but oh well! Full of cinnamon and vanilla! I would go back for this again and again!

Blanco Cocina& Cantina; what a fun, desirable place to be. If you are in need of a tastefully fabulous, cozy dining experience, I would highly recommend this exemplary eatery. Some of the key facets that sets Blanco's apart from other Mexican/ Mexican fusion restaurants I've visited over the course of my extended stay in the suburbs are as follows: large, shareable meal portions; fresh, high quality ingredients; every sauce has a distinct flavor, filled with zest but not overpowering; intriguing and smart design, seating intimate enough for a date night or solo dining yet floor plan versatility makes this site prime for larger parties or family outings; atmospheric excellence; calming, yet fun, increasing versatility; this makes Blanco's the perfect setting for group get togethers, reunions or small scale birthday celebrations. Now, onto one of my favourite aspects of Blanco's; aesthetically pleasing decor. Colorful, yet not overstated, playful interior with those gorgeous exposed ceilings I adore, paired with bold light fixtures and a plethora of lush greenery for the most desirably mod, slightly industrial feel. (Notation: Additional seating available on the trendy gated patio; full sized sun-shade umbrellas included) In terms of affordability; every mark surpassed. Considering the ample serving size of each dish and exceptional quality of the meal, pricing was more than fair. I've decided to incorporate a section into my posts to assist those who'd like to expedite the "picking process" when it comes to meal selection; as most menus can be quite extensive, it is my hope that an "ideal meal" section complete with name of dish, brief description, and beverage accompaniments will assist those new to the recommended eatery. Let's dive right in. Blanco's ideal meal (based loosely from my order): Shareable appetizer: Mexican street corn (AKA elotes; cob-style roasted corn chopped into even pieces, topped lightly with classic mayonnaise, generously with Mexican crumble cheese, tangy lime and chilé based seasoning; flavorful yet not overwhelming level of spice; delicious in every way) Individual starter: bowl of chicken tortilla soup (satisfying to the taste without being too heavy on the stomach, ideal amount of tender, flavorful chicken throughout and a most savory broth makes for a most enjoyable starter prior to entreé) Vegetarian starter alternative: queso dip (warm, creamy white cheese dip topped with servings of seasoned and diced tomatoes/onions, sour cream, fresh guacamole and crisp cilantro) Entreé/ beverage: chicken tinga bowl (tantalizing chunks of melt-in-your-mouth shredded chicken alongside a variety of toppings including mixed cheeses, fresh cilantro, zesty sauce and your choice of beans atop a base of well-seasoned rice)/ topo Chico with lime (the lime gives this sudsy, traditional Mexican seltzer a tangy twist) Vegetarian entreé alternative: grilled avocado tacos (fresh avocado, crisp cabbage, savory onions, a delectable yogurt sauce and various spices topped with lightly seasoned tortilla strips in the most delicious, thick tortillas; I'd recommend corn based on experience) Dessert/ beverage: caramel flan (incredibly rich without being overly sweet; moist, thick cake with lightly dusted powdered sugar, cremé and delicious fresh fruit atop)/cup of coffee with light cream (classic accompaniment to most desserts) For my concluding point, I would like to express the utmost gratitude towards our lovely table attendant; one of the most friendly, warm service experiences I've encountered during my suburban adventures. Needless to say, this solidified Blanco's as a must-return in my book. Blanco's, you are truly a gem. 💎 Thank you for providing delicious, unique twists on traditional Mexican dishes, and of course; for the exemplary service. This leftover queen will be returning to sample what remains of the dessert menu in the near future.

They have delicious food and had good 3- 4 vegetarian options for people like me follow Hindu Vegetarian Diet, from appetizer I liked Tamale and sweet corn. And papas Dulce was okayish. May be I was full with appetizer.

The outdoor seating and a sign saying tacos led to me parking my car as I was looking for a place to stop for lunch. From the host to the servers to the bartenders, everyone was friendly and attentive to my solo dining. The tacos were fantastic as was my apply chai Agua Fresca. It was really delicious. I don’t normally like to eat at chains while traveling, but I’ll seek this Blanco out when traveling next to AZ or San Diego.

my new favorite. It is a Very busy and loud place. This modern Mexican gem offers a vibrant ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining adventure. Our culinary journey began with a zesty spicy salsa and Grilled Mexican street corn that delighted our taste buds. The roasted poblano and tomato cheese crisps were a savory revelation. they were nice to modify the dishes to vegetarian version and guide us what can be modified or not. Among the main dishes, the grilled avocado tacos and veggie fajitas stood out for their exquisite flavors. Drinks, including the smashed watermelon margarita and jalapeño and pineapple margarita, were perfectly balanced. Their alcohol content hit the mark, enhancing the experience. This restaurant is a must-visit, blending modern charm with exceptional Mexican cuisine and cocktails. they have a private area which can be used for birthday parties, corporate parties or bigger groups.

Absolutely amazing. If possible, request to sit in Melissa's section. Her service was amazing and she is very friendly. Small group shared a queso dip, tacos, fajitas, enchiladas and desserts. Zero complaints on food, food was so delicious. We also had the most delicious margaritas. Def a new favorite!

I recently had dinner at this trendy place and loved the experience. The cocktails are tequila based (and strong!), all very tastefully done. The mango ceviche is wonderful, guac is good too. The pork chile verde enchiladas are a delicious and filling entree, and for dessert you can't go wrong with a classic caramel flan. This is a great place for date nights or small groups.

Wonderful Mexican restaurant. Staff was really kind and organized, also knowledgeable. They were able to talk to my friend in Spanish since his English was not good, which was greatly appreciated. Outside area is nice. Drinks were great and the food was fresh and tasted amazing. Their indoor area was also so beautifully decorated and classy. Awesome vibes!

The food was FANTASTIC and the service was impeccable. Brittany was our server and she was very attentive but not overbearing. The margaritas were a 15/10. The food was really good. The elote was the best I’ve ever had. We also got the quesadilla and it was amazing. Soooo so good. Salsa and chips were very flavorful and fresh as well.

Went to Blanco‘s on Saturday night for a friends birthday party. The manager Nelly and her entire crew showed exemplary customer service. Best encounter customer service that I have experienced in quite sometime so my hats off to Nelly and her entire staff. Please continue to do what you doing And you sore to the moon 🌕 The ambience, the customer service the food is highly recommended A1😍

My wife and I went out for Valentine's day (the night before) for the first time. Food was great and the frozen margaritas were good, although they were on the small side. Decor was good and overall vibe was solid. Sophia was out server and she was amazing and did a great job too. Only downsides I can think of outside of the drinks being a bit small was the music didn't really seem to fit the restaurant and the food was a bit on the pricey side for Mexican food though not totally unexpected for Oak.Brook

I came here first for a corporate event and was blown away with the food and service so much that i returned 2 weeks later with my wife to celebrate her birthday. She absolutely loved it, the service and attention we received truly above and beyond. We will definitely be coming back again.

First time here. Came up from the Quad Cities for my wife's birthday. Got right in. Place is nice sized with indoor and outdoor seating. Nice menu, tons of Margarita options. We ended up ordering the Machaca Enchiladas with beans and rice and 1 fish taco. Chips & salsa were good. Excellent flavor. The food wqs delicious. Some of the best rice and beans ever. The Enchiladas were 🔥🔥🔥 Definitely tell everyone I know to come here and try it.

Had a great experience at Blanco Cocina + Cantina in Oak Brook. The food was fresh and flavorful. The Tortilla Soup lacked some flavor though but I loved the salsa. The ambiance is modern and lively, making it a perfect spot for lunch with family. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.

Vibes were solid—cool decor, bumpin’ music, and a good crowd. Dropped about $40 on tacos, chips & guac, and a spicy marg. Food was fresh, birria was juicy, shrimp had a nice kick. Drinks were strong but a bit pricey. Service was chill but kinda slow at times. Not my go-to for lowkey tacos, but def a fun spot if you’re lookin’ for a lively night with good eats.

j

The first time at this place, the ambiance resembles an outdoor location with lots of hanging plants and green chairs. The food is mostly Mexican favorites such as tacos, burritos, bowls, and enchiladas. Fajitas is a main entree option. If you are into something like this, then this spot is for you. I was hoping for some main entree dishes. Drinks were ok. I would say more of a casual place.

Very good. Had a mango margarita and it was delish. We ordered guacamole, shrimp tacos, Carne asada bowl, flan and strawberry rhubarb empanadas. Everything was delicious.

Came here for dinner this past weekend and loved the vibe inside! The hostess and bartenders were so friendly and great at helping with recommendations! I got the mango stand margarita and it was so good. I loved the touch of the dehydrated mango on top! We had the spicy mango ceviche (love me some ceviche) it was so fresh and delicious! I didn’t love my main course (chicken pastor tacos) they were just ok to me. Overall was a great place. Would definitely recommend for a fun dinner spot.

Very good, a little bit higher and Mexican food right near Oak Brook mall. The vibe here is very nice and the tequila selection is huge. Lots of great Mexican food, choices, but a bit pricey.

We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. It was a short wait to be seated. We ordered drinks at the bar while waiting. The drinks were good and the bartender was very helpful and friendly. The food was good. But it was more Tex-Mex than Mexican. Service was okay. We felt the server, although helpful and friendly, could've checked on us more than just once. Overall a good experience!

It was my first visit to Blanco Cocina + Cantina. The entire restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere and the bar has a nice vibe. The menu has a great selection of Mexican Cuisine. The service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos on Corn Tortillas. The food came out quickly and hot. The Shrimp Tacos came with Black Beans and Rice, which was delicious. If you are looking for a casual meal, I would recommend checking out Blanco Cocina + Cantina.

Really likes this place a lot! The Short Rib taco was the Best taco ever! Queso was good, great menu including Happy Hour specials! Blended Paloma was fabulous! (Thou wondered IF there was any alcohol in it🤣 Nice vibe & good servers to! Will definitely look forward to going back!

We were here for dinner on Sunday night. The restaurant was not crowded and reservations are not needed even though we reserved on open table. The decor is very modern. our waiter was particularly nice and attentive. We found enough vegetarian choices. But I feel there were lot more entrees that could be customized to vegetarian. One disappointing thing is that the rice is cooked in chicken stock and refried beans have bacon in them. I wish these should be vegetarian. Thankfully our waiter was alert and let us know.

J

Esthetically this is a great restaurant. The food was pretty good, the guacamole had a very unique taste. Loved the street corn, and my bowl was pretty good. I would come back to try the other entrées. Our servers were pretty awesome as well!

Visited during happy hour - drinks and food were great! Only gave four stars for service because the waiter seemed annoyed with taking our order and was not friendly and forgot to put in part of our order. The gentleman bringing out the food was very nice. When making the reservation you can mark if you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary and we were celebrating a birthday so I selected that option. Did not expect anything for free or anything like that but upon being taken to the table could tell that it was marked as reserved and had a birthday mark on the table number - the waiter didn't acknowledge the birthday which is fine but could have at least said happy birthday after he took the reservation table placeholder off. Everyone has off days so giving some grace with four stars.

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the food. The atmosphere is bright and welcoming, however the hostess when we went was unfortunately not. However once seated our waiter was very kind and attentive. We ordered the carne asada bowls and short rib bowls both were delicious. The food and drinks also came out with little waiting. Would definitely return.

First time here and I must say the drinks are delicious. I had the guava and passion fruit Paloma and my friend had the smashed watermelon margarita, I will definitely recommend those. The pinto beans and rice are good, chips and salsa were just OK, my short rib burrito was okay. My friend had enchiladas which she said she doesn't have to order again. The ambiance is nice and I would visit again maybe just trying a different dish, but the drinks are really good.

I feel like this place can be a hit or miss. The first time I came here was earlier this year with my husband, and we LOVED the food. The Parmesan cheese crisp was delicious, the avocado tacos were beyond amazing and incredibly filling. Everything was great. Our second visit however, everything was awful. All the food tasted off/ not the same as before. We ordered the same menu items and still, our experience was just not that great. I really like the atmosphere at this restaurant but I wish their food tasted more consistent. I know some days are always better than others, but this tasted like 2 different recipes honestly. Disappointing.

My friends RAVED about this place and said they go often. I wanted Mexican food and was excited because they are in Arizona and they brought over the Cheese Crisp so my first thought was ‘this should be legit!’ I was sadden. First the chips are seasoned perfectly! The salsa has a nice spice to it that the combo was amazing!! I ordered Chicken Tinga Tacos the same was it comes in a cheese crisp, with rice. My friend ordered the enchiladas with a piece of grilled chicken on top and my other friend ordered ground beef tacos with fresh fries. I was so excited for my tacos. When my plate came I was so excited to see the juicy tacos, but then I looked at the rice. I’m sorry but who has buttered white rice with corn and cilantro at a Mexican restaurant? I took a bit off my tacos and thought they were ok, I give them a 7.5 for juicy and the tortilla being nice and fluffy! I give the rice a 2.1 ONLY because I tried it with my friend’s grilled chicken and that could be a meal. My friend loved his enchilada and my other friend enjoyed her tacos. I might go back to try something else, but probably because someone else wants to go. Parking is really bad since it’s at the mall. I parked closer to Neiman’s towards the road.

K
Kay

I went here with a party of 11. The majority of people found their meal to be lacking. The smash burger was an absolute disappointment (literally just a patty on a bun), while those who got the burrito were pleased. The steak fajitas were decent, but the chicken faitajas were bland. The drinks are small for the price with very little alcohol. I tried a margarita and the Sangria. Both tasted like watered down kool-aid. The restaurant is nice and clean. The service was pretty slow, but it was a busy Saturday night, so to be expected. All in all, I would not recommend this place, and I personally would not return.

Food was good. Service ruined this place. Our waitress came over 45 min after we arrived. No water, no chips. Food took forever and came out at random times. The manager was standing there and could have jumped in and helped the waitress. I felt bad for her it was her first day and she was drowning. What a shame! Edited to respond: May 26, 2024 @ 6:15 pm. Thanks for checking your reviews.

Super cute setting. Plants in the ceilings are cute and the lighting is nice. Our server was super nice but seemed to be all over the place. She had tables in the dining room and the bar. She came as much as she could. I believe a manager also helped too with the drinks and chips and salsa. The food took FOREVER to come out though. The fajita veggies were only half grilled so I got a raw jalepeno. The steak was okay. The sides came out weird. The beans looked like they sat for a while under the light as well. The flavor of the free salsa was the best. The meat lacked seasoning. The drinks were cute, but the skinny margarita gave my friend a migraine. Cute place, but probably wouldn’t be back for the food.

Decided to do a reservation for Valentines Day ahead of time as we just settled in the waitress comes in and tells us about the special drink they got going on and quickly asks if we are ready for an appetizer not even 2 min of her giving us the menu so we asked for a little more time and less than 2 minutes she comes by so we ask only for the drinks and she keeps insisting of getting an appetizer but we just sat down and were giving the menus. Once the drinks were ready she came back and asked if we were ready to order and we did as we were eating we asked for another drink the frozen Paloma which was really good. We finished eating and quickly she asked if we were ready for dessert we declined since we were working on the drinks she just handed therefore she proceeded to do a stroll in less than 3 min asking if we needed more time we nodded our heads and we wanted to order one more drink but she didn’t even gave us the chance to tell her and ran the check and placed it on the table inside a cup where we both saw the price of the dinner which felt was so awkward. We felt rushed out this restaurant only an hour inside the restaurant mind you there were empty tables…so our Valentine dinner ended in an hour couldn’t even take a picture with my date 😂. Food was good, drinks better than expected but service was so poor.

Food was delicious. Mango ceviche was so flavourful. Cheese crisps were good. Sweet potato enchiladas were tasty. Everything was good until I found meat in my veggie entree. That is not acceptable to me. Service was super slow. In my opinion chairs were not comfortable. And my sangria glass was chipped. The server didn't seem to care much.

Nice atmosphere, really cute place. Food was just ok. The nachos are really good. we had shrimp tacos and enchiladas was decent The charro beans just ok. The rice was really good, flavored very well. The smashed watermelon margarita was delish!

We had a really underwhelming experience on Valentine’s Day. It was extremely busy but the restaurant did a great job having reservations ready to set within minutes. However that’s where the good service ends. Our waitress seemed to not want to be there. She rarely checked on us. After getting waters it took more than 5 minutes for her to come back and get our drink order. After another long wait we finally got in appetizers but no drinks yet. Half way through our apps our margaritas tree finally showed up. The margaritas were underwhelming. I make better at home and we have an inexpensive Mexican place near that serve amazing margaritas for less. Our food was all good. The ceviche and nachos were great and we both enjoyed our mains. We were super annoyed at the 3 dollar upcharge for the Cadillac marg which isn’t noted on the menu. The menu says 47 dollars mix of any 4 margs. No asterisk or anything. 3 dollars on the bill wasn’t a huge deal and at that point we wanted to leave. We had sat with our napkins on the table for well over 15 minutes before getting our check. Our waitress walking by us several times and glancing at us but never stopping. I don’t think she would have stopped if we hadn’t have flagged her down. We won’t be back.

The food leaves much to be desired. I asked if the street corn was like traditional elotes or a twist on elotes. The waiter assured me they were traditional and very good. The elotes were drowned in tajin which overpowered everything else (I've never personally had elotes with tajin but I'm sure someone likes it). There was a pretty long break between ordering appetizers and entrees which after looking at other reviews seems to be on brand. When ordering entrees, I asked the waiter if we were able to order the various tacos a la carte or if they only allowed for you to order the taco plates. He said I could do that, just tell him what tacos I want. He proceeded to bring me 2 taco plates and when I told him I only wanted 1 taco plate with additional tacos on the side, he said those tacos are only ordered as taco plates which is why I had 2 full plates. I'm not sure how this was lost in translation but at this point I was irritated and just wanted to leave so I told him it was fine, someone at the table would eat off of it. The carne asada tacos were the only thing I would recommend. I was thoroughly surprised to get beans and white rice with corn in it. I attended for someone's birthday so I didn't look into the menu or restaurant at all so I was a bit disappointed that it was not exactly traditional Mexican food. Overall, I would not recommend.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. This was honestly the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in Illinois. If you’re Black, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place—I felt from the beginning that we were not treated with the same respect or care as other customers. The manager’s attitude came across as passive-aggressive, and at times, her behavior felt racially insensitive. We ordered birria tacos, which came out extremely burnt, and I found hair in my food. When I reported it, the manager asked to see the hair, as if I was lying. We decided to exchange the food for another option, but in hindsight, we should have left. The replacement meal came out, and my friend found hair in her burger as well. Before the food even arrived, the manager made a sarcastic comment like, “Let me move these utensils since there’s hair floating around,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional. Our waiter barely checked on us and avoided our table like he didn’t want to deal with us at all. The whole experience was unprofessional and uncomfortable. And for the record—stop assuming Black customers don’t have money or don’t tip. Even after all of this, I still tipped the waiter, though he didn’t deserve it. The food wasn’t good either. The corn tasted like it was drenched in straight lime juice. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant. Save your money and your time. Ill share the picture of the food so you can see how appealing it looks I wouldn't have served this to anyone.
