Best restraunt for JJambbong in New York city .
The food was exceptional and great! Very tasty and well prepared. We could chose among many menu options. I love the service at the place and the owner was so friendly and always took care to offer the best quality! We will definitely come back with a larger group of people as they have a private room that can hold over 40 people.
Best Korean Chinese food in town. Good service and atmosphere.
The Best Korean Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been in the east coast.

Very good
this place so fire
Best noodle.
You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Everything is seasoned well and tasty.
Omg the only Korean Chinese restaurant I like going to. The mapo tofu is my favorite dish and the jjajang sauce is the best. The flavor is always on point and consistent. Definitely the only place I recommend for Korean Chinese to friends.
Hands down the best jjajangmyeon and jjampong in the area!!! Their mapo tofu is delicious and low carb friendly. Oh and their fried dumplings are made in-house and are to die for!!
Test so good
Everything was really good. Just come and take my word. Enjoy!
One of my favorite restaurants around! We go often, and the kids love the menu as well.
I had a happy time with my family. Food was variety and exellent price.. I strongley recommand to come this placd, if you want to have real food.
Needed to find a good Korean-Chinese restaurant And the food was very good. Very happy with the sides and was very tasty.
The best Korean Chinese restaurant in Queens!! The noodle is amazing and different from other restaurants.
Our go-to for korean-chinese food. Conveniently right off the 495 highway.
Food was really good. Nice informal place.
Atmosphere is like back to the future, it was reminded of 80’s Korea Kyungyangsik restaurant instead of Korean Chinese Restaurant. Food is wonderful and service is great! Definitely will be back and highly recommend this place for old classic Jjajangmyun.
I would like to recommend a newly discovered Korean-Chinese restaurant. Their Jjamppong is particularly noteworthy. Also Tang Soo Yok Is great!!!
If you’re craving chinese-korean food around the area, definitely check out the place. It’s the only place that i go to when i want either jjajangmyeon or jjambong
We ordered delivery here for dinner and we were all very happy with the taste, portions, and how it was presented. I love that they give the jjajang sauce and some jjambbong soup when you order fried rice. Will definitely order again!
Thumbs up!!,,don't miss Jjajangmeon, black noodle,Also Jjamppong, seafood noodle
One of my favorite Korean comfort foods. I put them to the test and they passed with flying colors. Definitely going here again.
When I visited again, the taste was definitely different from other places. In Queens, New York, this taste is lucky for me. Jjamppong, jjajang, fried rice, japchae rice... everything is delicious. I just want to cry... Gotta go again!!
My go to, JaJangMyun and GganPungYuk! Done to perfection at this cozy spot. I always have a hard time choosing between Ttangsuyuk and gganpuggi but their appetizers are a must too! Reminds me of the times I spent in Korea!
Excellent Jja Jang Myun Noodle with black bean sauce. Rating 9/10 Delicious sauce, good noodles. E1-2. #4 / Tang Su Yuk Sweet and sour pork. Rating 8/10. Nicely fried. Sweet sauce.
㊗️🧧🌄THE BEST! 🌿👍GREAT TASTE!🌿🌺SO KIND AND CARE! MAKES OUR FAMILY HAPPY! THANKS!🌿🌻🙋♂️
Probably the best jjajangmyun and jjamppong I’ve had in NYC. Their sweet and sour pork is awesome as well! A must try!
Food is good. Excellent lunch special prices. The way they have med/large option for their specials was nice.
Absolutely incredible experience at New York Ban Jum! The flavors were bold, authentic, and perfectly balanced—hands down some of the best Korean-Chinese food I’ve had. The jjajangmyeon was rich and savory, the tangsuyuk was crispy and tender, and every dish came out hot and fresh. Service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere had a cozy, welcoming vibe. Highly recommend this spot to anyone craving comfort food with a kick. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Authentic Korean-Chinese comfort food in Queens! Stopped by New York Ban Jum and it instantly became one of my favorite spots in Queens. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — I had the spicy seafood noodle soup (Jjamppong), and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and spicy with generous portions of seafood — mussels, squid, shrimp — everything cooked just right. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming. Perfect place for a comforting, hearty meal, especially on a cool day. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic Korean-style noodles and bold flavors!
New York Ban Jum has become our family's #1 pick in Korean-Chinese cuisine. My husband and I live far out in Long Island, but we'll drive out to Flushing to eat here and take food togo for dinner/lunch boxes. This place is great. The ingredients, the flavor, the PORTIONS, the price!! Everything is on point!! Please don't change!!
New York Ban Jum is a hidden gem for anyone craving delicious Korean-Chinese food! I went with a group of eight, and despite the size of our party, they accommodated us quickly and efficiently. The staff was friendly, and the service was impressively smooth. We were seated and served without any delay. The food was far beyond our expectations. We ordered the Jjajangmyeon set menu with spicy garlic chicken and sweet & sour pork, as well as beef bibimbap. Every dish was bursting with bold, authentic flavors, and the portions were generous. The seafood jjampong was another standout—packed with fresh, flavorful seafood in a rich, spicy broth. It was the perfect balance of spice and freshness. Overall, everything tasted better than we expected, and we’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommend this spot for Korean-Chinese cuisine!
I had the Lunch Set 1 at New York Ban Jum today, which included Jjajangmyeon, Tangsuyuk, Fried Dumplings, and Salad, and it was absolutely delicious. Since I usually have to choose just one dish when dining alone, I really loved that this set included all my favorites—Tangsuyuk, Jjajangmyeon, and Fried Dumplings. The portion size was quite generous as well. The clean table setting and cozy atmosphere added to the experience. I finished my meal with a fresh cup of tea, and when I asked what it was, waitress told me it was Jasmine tea. On top of that, she was incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole experience a solid 5/5 star restaurant for me. I’m already looking forward to visiting again in the evening with my family to try more dishes!
Very good price for lunch: quality and portion size is worth it. Also this is one of best Korean Chinese restaurant.
I drive one and a half hours to come here The food is amazing. And the waitress, the only one that Is always here Is super nice and incredible service !!!! The spicy seafood noodle soup Is kicking ass !!!! The best Korean style Chinese food !!
Spacious seating space. Good food, good service, and plenty of parking spaces in the back. Ordered the japchae and it came with white rice instead of fried rice as shown on the menu. Very flavorful and solid dish regardless.
Awesome Korean Chinese spot, so happy they are in the neighborhood. Their Jjambong broth is one of the best in NYC, spicy, rich, and refreshing. Great jjajangmyun and super light and crispy tangsuyuk(sweet sour pork) their gganpungki had a nice kick, more than average I'd say. Great lunch combo options as well. Had the jjajang and gganpun shrimp and not disappointed at all. Super crispy fried dumplings included. Overall great food and service.
We had the best experience at New York Ban Jum! As Korean, I can say for sure that this is the best Korean-Chinese in the area. PLEASE PLEASE TRY THE RYUSANSUL. You won’t be disappointed. Also the Ajummas were so kind :) Will come again.
The food was surprisingly delicious😲 I didn't expect to be this good. I will definitely come back to try other dishes.

This kind of classic, korean-Chinese cuisine is not easy to find anymore. Make sure you get the jjajangmyun and chili shrimp (kanpoongsaewoo). For a large family celebration or a fill your yummy lunch special, you can rely on them. Best noods in Queens.

This place has changed ownership and has changed for the better. It leans more towards the Chinese side of the Korean-Chinese spectrum, like the chef has spent some time in hunan/Szechuan. Recommended items are the haemul chulpan bokkeum jjajang, the chaedo ssal guksu jjampong, the hayol jjampong (which has chunks of nurungi in it for fun), and the ggamponggi is more chili focused.
Everything was so good!! The tea was very warm. The food tastes like good food and came out very fast. Came here with a group with 25+ people and service was great! 10/10 would recommend.

Near 495 & easy to.go.
Good restaurant.
Very good food and great ounch specials
Came for brunch around 12pm on a Thursday. Wasnt busy and the parking lot had space. Ordered 2 of their lunch set takeout and was ready in about 10 minutes. Came out to $40. Gave spicy radish and daikon with onions as side dish. The sweet n spicy fried shrimp was so good. The tangsuyuk was ok. Good portion for the jjm and one set could probably feed 2 people.
Easy to see along side the east bound side of the Long Island Expressway service road. Metered parking is available. There’s a parking lot in the back. Typical Chinese/Korean Cuisine. Ja Jang Myun is the Star 🌟. Reasonably priced. Credit cards 💳 accepted. Nice staff. Clean facilities. We will definitely be going back.
Good food, good service.
Great food, and great service. So glad i finally found a go to spot for korean-chinese food.
The food tastes fresh and delicious. All the meat and seafood ingredients are cooked very fresh. I was so surprised that my wife finished all of her food and wanted to come back again soon. A week later, we tried takeout. After driving for 25 minutes, the food was still hot and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
It was very busy on Saturday around 6-7pm. We had to wait for about 10-15 minutes to get a seat. The waitress told us that the food might come a bit later, especially the appetizer entrees because they were busy. Our food came out about 15-20 mins later and we enjoyed our food. The jjambong was pretty good and had a great smokey fire taste. Also parking lot behind the restaurant is ample but during our arrival, it was packed so be aware of limited parking space on weekends.
Overall food is good. The lunch special combo menus are somewhat good.
We were starving as t the time and the food was very decently delicious. The jjampong has a good roasted flavor, tang su yuk was fresh, not too fatty. The stone jjajang myum was real good.
Great lunch special options. We had jjampong which is a spicy hand pulled noodles with seafood. Their broth has deep oyster/seafood taste and it was one of the best I had. Combination of various dishes and jajangmyon (brown noodle) are great. I took out shrimp with brown noodles and dumplings for my son and he loved it. I got the sweet and sour beef (Tangsuyuk) for my in-laws and they really enjoyed it. Quick and efficient service. Definitely coming back to try other dishes.
I stopped in here for the first time in a long time. I had jjajangmyun with tangsuyook both of which were really good!!. The service was fast not that long of a wait at all!. Only reason I knocked atmosphere down a star because it got really loud really fast!. Other than that great food!
Came with my parents. I ordered the Jjam Jja Myun and my dad had the Jja Jang Myung which was decent, nothing too crazy. We also ordered the Ggan Pungi (Fried Chicken with Spicy Garlic sauce). It was a bit spicier than I was used to and not as crispy as some of the other restaurants but was still good.
I've been looking for a local joint like this for some time. I'm glad I found one. Jjajangmyeon (black bean paste noodles) is good. Jjamppong, not as much. Overall, I wouldn't say it's a Michelin-quality restaurant, but good enough local place for a quick Korean-Chinese food pick-me-up that will leave you plenty satisfied. Will go back again.

Food taste definitely changed either that chef changed. Less seasoning and less flavor Every-time I go, however the male worker has been always pleasant and professional. Always filling up water and checking if I need napkins. Any special requests and modifications accepted or even denied in a respectful way. Respect earned.
The restaurant looked pleasant, though the food was a bit heavy. I ordered black noodles and my husband ordered lunch set #3. The waitress must have thought she was at home. She put her hand on the back of my chair while watching the TV. When I gently pulled my chair up a little, she seemed to dislike it. She threw the change tray when she returned with our change for the bill.
Jjajangmyun was okay. Sweet and sour pork had little bit of old oil smell. Didn't really enjoy much.
Very unfortunate but the quality of the food here has declined. The owner has a bad attitude and is not welcoming to anybody walking in here to have a good meal. Therefore, will never return and I hope people find this review informative.
disgusting smell from the food small portion sizes terrible service with ladies that are grilling you if you dont leave a good tip will NEVER come back and advise people to stay away from this business
Unfriendly and always looks angry . The noodles are very thin so I thought it was Ramen . I don't want to go to again
Food is bland service is terrible workers arent willing to own up to their mistakes.
Noodles arent properly cooked and their sweet and sour fried pork isnt crispy like the other places in queens. One of the more expensive chinese korean fusions in NY while portions are small. service here is also not the greatest here
This restaurant employee let a begging girl beg some money and even told me to give some money to the begging girl. Is this worth for paying tip?
My family had lude waiter service few months ago. And today got bad taste foods. Changed chef again? Owner has big problems still?
The waitress working here truly seems to need to consider changing her profession. Every time I visit, I spend money and end up leaving in a bad mood. Overall, it feels like she does not really understand how proper table service should be handled. That said, the busboy was very kind and courteous. I actually like the jjamppong dishes here, so I wanted to keep coming back, but I have decided not to anymore. In any case, I wish you success in your business. After reading other reviews, I see that there are many complaints about the dining room service. I wondered if it was just my experience, but apparently not. What I find puzzling is that similar reviews have existed for a long time—yet nothing seems to have changed. I truly wonder why that is, owner.
Don't be fooled by reviews. Today is my 3rd visit in an unavoidable situation, but their service manner wasn't changed. I think it seems like the owner guy doesn't know how to treat guests. So pathetic. The food tastes not much special, just ordinary. Only UniJjajangmyeon was ok. Anyway, last visit time when we asked to go to the room, they said we couldn't because they were all booked, but we could see the empty rooms until we finished eating and left. I don't know why, but I felt deceived. That's very unpleasant. The serving staff had a very rigid attitude. I can only give the service score zero. Definitely, I wouldn't go back there again and can't recommend this place.

The service here was terrible. The staff didn’t say thank you, didn’t smile, and acted like the customers owed them money and the owner owed them a salary. There was no warmth or basic courtesy — just attitude. It felt uncomfortable the whole time. Definitely not the kind of place I’d want to visit again.
The food is just so-so. This place forces guests to tip more than 20% while giving them rooms they don't even want. The owner yells at customers to tip more. This is a place where I had a very unpleasant experience.
