Best fries I’ve had since coming to the west coast. Aint no complaints! Strongly recommend the Garlic Fries . They tasted great even when they were several hours old and soggy.

Best meal I’ve had in Venice Beach. Seafood Fish and chips with shrimp delicious. Well seasoned.

Fantastic lil spot right off the boardwalk. Great FRESH fried fish and fries with a huge selection of sauces and seasonings. Wonderful fried calamari as well.

"Wee Chippy" is a humble name for the Best Fish and Chips Ever!!! Worked my tail off (still got the Backside 👣) in the culinary field, so I can definitely appreciate the Friendly Service and Familiar 😁. Been coming to this Food Park for Years; NOBODY HAS 🍟 AS GOOD AS WEE CHIPPY!!! THICK "TEXAS FRIES", A VARIETY OF GOURMET SALTS... BEST EVER, TRY THE SMOKED APPLE WOOD, my FAV. SOMEDAY, I've got to try the SHRIMP 🦐 TEMPURA, but the FRESHLY PREPARED BATTERED COD(takes about ten minutes)IS SO GOOD, !!!

The food was excellent! I also like that the cozy outdoor eating gave us the opportunity to meet some new people.

This place is AMAZING (if you like Fries) I can only comment on the fries, but the rest I the menu looks simple and tasty! This is my new favorite spot to grab some fries. I called in and ordered the large Fries an it was ready when I walked up 10 mins later. The portion size was massive! I shared with my friend and we were both full. They have various seasonings and sides of sauce to choose from. I can’t wait to try them all! Show up hungry and you won’t be disappointed!

Was looking for Fish and chips for my visit to Venice and came across this small establishment. Got the classic with Garlic fries, one with truffle fries for my hubby and a regular for my girls. We all loved it! The fish was nice and crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The fries are awesome and plentiful! I’ll be back for more on my next visit

Take a walk down Venice beach and you will be overwhelmed by the amount of visual stimulation you will experience as you venture your way around the beach. If you’re not distracted by the art or street performers, your eyes will wander towards the little food stands and treats that await you on your journey! The Wee Chipy is tucked away in between some buildings, but not too far off the path. I would never have expected this little hole in the wall (literally) to pack such a flavorful punch! I’ve seen the little establishment, but never found my way there to try and taste it. After years, the timing was right and we managed to grab an order right before they closed up shop for the day. The fries were delicious! I decided to mix the two chippy salts together since I couldn’t choose one, and the flavor explosion was perfect. The fish was breaded just right, and did not come out dripping in oil. I really appreciated the fact that it didn’t make me sick after eating a fried fish! I wanted to try their truffle mayo sauce, so I ordered myself a side and it was well worth the extra dollar. It made the fries even more delicious and even paired well with the fish, in my opinion. My only regret is not trying this place sooner. A good fish and chip restaurant is not easy to find, and now that I’ve found myself a spot, I will be back! Hope to try their calamari eventually!

One of my companions tried it and said he almost couldn't tell the difference between that and real fish. So this place is doing something right. You get four pieces of "fish". The texture was excellent, the crunch was perfect, and the fries were superb. We got a mix of garlic and jalapeno seasoning for our fries. We also got ketchup and ranch for the dipping sauces. You also get a small side of coleslaw. I would highly recommend, 10/10!

Que bom ! Delicioso!! Simply delish! Not only we order the f£c but we also got 3 sauces to compliment our amazing food! The fish ohh perfection! Jut perfectly cooked, tender and juicy and crunchy and yum on the outside! Now the chips!! Those were spiced up with California rosemary! They were also crunchy Tasted real potatoes! Now the sauces! Killer! I mean the chipotle BBQ ketchup, goes definitely well with both fish and chips! It taste smoky BBQ with a hint of spicy but sweet somehow and with a malty taste in the end! Very English if you will!(-; the other sacude was the original tartan sauce. Just well done! (And I'm not a fun if tartar!) and finally the Italian with black truffle! Well royal it's the least bit of my humble opinion when it comes to great food! (It's one of my passions!!) it's a tiny little place with the most beautiful vibes and superb fish and chips! Honestly the most authentic fish and chips out here!

I promise you I had no intention of getting fish and chips but while I was enjoying some delicious coffee from Groundworks, my nostrils kept getting assailed by something that smelled deliciously fried. I saw a woman pick up her order and eat one of the fries. Once I saw her eyes widen and her head vigorously nodding to her friend; that made my decision easy, so I headed to the counter. Ordering was fast and efficient, this wasn't their first rodeo. Even when the cashier had to explain to me the seasonings and condiments I had to select, my order was promptly taken and 15 minutes later I had my order in hand, on my way home. I broke into the bag, and was left imitating the woman I saw earlier. Crispy fries, that were perfectly seasoned with a fancy smattering of parsley. The fish had that a fantastic crispiness and perfect batter to fish ratio, so you get your money's worth. This will definitely be a go to moving forward.

Amazing fish & chips. I don't think people truly understand the nature of British fish & chips... the chips or 'fries' aren't old or black, or weird, they are raw, hearty potatoes and VERY very good. The oil here is changed daily, unlike most American fried food spots. Also, yes, the fish is frozen... as its the best way to fast freeze and store it once caught. So without the nitpicking I've read here, which I believe are just lack of education, this place is WELL worth giving a go and supporting an owner-operated little hotspot. I enjoyed it a lot and grew up in London, so can safely say it's amongst the finest f&c I've had.

Fish & Shrimp were very fresh and crispy. It was delicious but it was pricey for the small fish.

Wasn’t a bad option for dinner. Fish was flaky but had a lot of batter. The chips were good and seasoned appropriately, I could of just ate chips for dinner. May check out again.

Good fish and chips...and reasonably priced. My only complaint was that the fries were way too salty. May have just been the applewood smoked variety...parents purchased the garlic fries and they were great.

So we decided to check this place out for fish and chips after reading many positive reviews , I really liked their classic fish and chips , I got my order quite timely and fresh ..fish filets were crispy, balanced in flavours , quantity of fries were good too , but somehow I didn't like the area outside the shop to sit and eat , so location and atmosphere was No for me , but definitely its great if u take away

Absolute best fish and chips in town. Such incredible fries, fish always perfectly deep fried into a crisp, delicious batter. So many dipping sauces and a lovely coleslaw as a palate cleanser. Been easily 2 dozen times and it's always been consistently amazing. Get it to go with a Mexican Coke and go sit on the grass near the skate park. Truly one of my favorite restaurants in town. Please don't change.

A bit floppy but the perfect dimensions. Because it's a pretty reasonable price I'm not going to dock any stars but I wouldn't be against paying a dollar or two more for an extra fillet. I am, however, going to dock a star because the menu says the fish and chips come with coleslaw but mine did not come with any coleslaw.

Pretty good taste. Fries and calamari are pretty good, but I will say the fish and chips were fine, but the calamari was better. And one more thing there was more fries than fish if you are looking for a more filling meal.

Disappointing experience given the ratings. While the shrimp was crunchy and the fish decent, the chips were a letdown - soft without a crispy exterior and under-seasoned despite advertising various seasoning options. The coleslaw dressing was bland, and the sauces were pretty generic. There's a big gap between the well-executed proteins and thoughtless sides that could be closed quite easily by cooking the chips differently, adding more seasoning (eg flaky salt, visible herbs). Nice presentation, but the basics work.

Very little sea food and mostly fried batter and lots of frys. The vegan fish and chips is just 3 Gardean fish fillets microwaved with a ton of frys.

My kid who can’t eat gluten aways wanted to try to gluten free fish and chips, finally had the time to drive to the boardwalk to try The Wee Chippy. Paid 18 bucks to park, walked over, only to find there are no gluten free fish and chips. Told they’re having a supplier issue. How about removing it from your menu if it isn’t available?
