Love their loyalty program. Went there for my birthday and was treated like a queen!
I'm staying at the Element Hotel, have tried just salads for dinner and both were delicious and very well prepared. But what just made me to come to maps to add mi review was the Coconut Cake!! OMG! That was incredible! You must try that! I didn't take a picture cause I just ate the whole piece!
What can I say! Courteous and friendly service, miso salmon was superb, comfortable patio, dog friendly.
Prices are $$$ but the flavor is great. Cocktails are price unlisted but ours were $11.25 each. We had the watermelon soup, a beef & noodle dish, the seafood dish ($25) over rice instead of pasta (rice is a much better choice than pasta in my book), coconut cake (8) and French silk pie (3). For me I loved that I left satisfied but not painfully full. My dad probably would have been cranky because he can really pack it away but for the average person I think the portions are suitable. I didn't have to take anything home in a doggy bag which I really liked because it's actually guilt that makes me eat my leftovers. If you sign up for their rewards program or the Turner Park rewards program then they will send you a discounts in the mail. We got 30% off our meal due to this program.
Simply put... Crave is a top 3 restaurant in Omaha. Service is key... Regardless of how good the food is, and our service was excellent. Jake did an excellent job and continued to check on us. We ordered the nachos to start ... And they tasted amazing! I will add that the queso was delicious and there was enough pork on the nachos to feed a family of 6. My only critique would be to add the queso very last. Most of it ended up on bottom of the huge pile of tortilla chips. Overall though.. some of the best nachos I have ever had. We also ordered their "house salad". The salad was excellent and there was a lot of it. Easily enough for two. For entrees, I ordered the Crave Burger... And ummmm, easily one of the best Burgers!
Awesome place very honest manager. I praise his honesty. My wife lost her wallet and we called to report it missing to the restaurant. We were called next morning to be informed they got it. Food is great and all waitresses and waiters are very nice. Luv the place
Nice restaurant with good selection of steaks and sushi. One of the few places in Omaha recommended for good steaks without a huge wait and available for a reservation on a Friday night. Prices were moderate and there are lots of other options if not wanting steak.
I cam in on sunday to find out kids eat free and it was half price sushi. This made the night enjoyable. This is definitely a nice restaurant for a date night. This is on the more expensive side of omaha with plates averaging around 18 dollars a person for dinner. We had a a roll of sushi, the Crave burger, Baked mac and cheese with crispy chicken and cheese curds including drinks the total was right close to 60 bucks, but its totally worth it. The waiter was in point and even the Manager came out to tables and talk to the guest. I will definitely be coming back soon and will take more photos. Forgot to get one of the mac and burger.
Very Excellent. Staff, Brook, Sid and Nate were so accomodating..Great late happy hour offers 9pm till close and the flatbread was great. I had a very dirty Martini...3 olives and the guacamole with chips was perfect. This was on a Thursday ad not so crowded.I dont like over crowded resturants and this is a big place so I was lleased that I missed the rush before 9pm. They really went extra mile and in such an easy an natural way. Limiited menje after 9pm was a good variety and very nicely presented. I Say EXPERIENCE THE CRAVE!
Excellent food! We had the filet mignon and shrimp/scallop fettuccine. Both dishes were fantastic, the steak in particular was expertly prepared. Service was quick, and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Had a wonderful dinner, mussels for appetizer were best we've had in years and the Ribeye was fork tender and cooked perfectly. The truffle risotto was al dente, just right but needed salt. Cocktails were very good, but the bar was extremely slow in getting drinks out; I asked for another drink before the food arrived and received it at...
Had a very tasty turkey with avocado burger today with coucous salad. Everything was delicious. Great service with a busy business lunch crowd. I'm always pleased with the food and have always had a good experience with the sushi.
I went and had lunch at crave yesterday. The food was fantastic the service was amazing and the drinks were delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant whether you're going to lunch with a friend or taking a business client out. I met Tyler the manager and he made me feel so welcome and really set the tone for how he runs this restaurant.
We were a little hesitant to come with some of the older reviews, but really enjoyed our meals. Out for a late lunch, we had the crispy chicken sliders and the carnitas street tacos. Both were well presented, and full of flavor. The waiter knew the menu, and had recommendations for us. The manager stopped by as well. My very good rating on food was for my carnitas, the meat was warm, not hot. Otherwise, it was all delicious. We'll come back for dinner to try the calamari!
We had been to Crave for dinner a few times in the last year, but had not been for Sunday Brunch for a long time. The service, food, and atmosphere were excellent all around. Our server Rodney was friendly, professional, and attentive. From the brunch menu, we had the fried donut holes, Lemon Blueberry Stuffed French Toast, and Creole Scramble. Our order came out quickly, hot and well prepared. Highly recommended, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat in the Midtown Crossing/Mutual of Omaha area. It's also worth noting the kids eat free all day on Sunday.
We had a great time on our double date! Great drinks and our server Trisha was personable. The food was top notch! They had something for each one of our unique tastes; steak, burgers, and seafood. We will definitely be back again!
Here for lunch on a gorgeous day, so we sat on the patio. I had spicy crispy chicken sliders. They were yummy. I wish there had been more slaw to put on them, but that is my only complaint. Good service. Manager checked on us as well. Good spot for lunch at midtown!
We stopped in for dinner a few nights ago, and it was great! I'm usually the type to see a meal as more of a necessity than a leisure activity, but our server (Rodney) went above and beyond to make sure that we had a good time! He definitely showed us the best service in Omaha, but I'm from a little bit of everywhere and I'd even venture to say that he showed us the best service I've ever seen, anywhere. We will definitely be back as long as he works there! If you stop by, DEFINITELY ask for him!
I ordered the surf and turf roll, they were out of steak and just made it without steak and brought it out without telling me. I had to point it out. They offered a replacement, gave me the menu, then didn't return for 15 minutes. They also didn't have enough steak for our group, so many folks had to reorder. The steak that did come out was over cooked and cold. However, I gave them a better service score than I otherwise would because they did at least try and make it right by taking care of some of the bill, and giving us free desserts and drinks.
Service was friendly but slow. We noriced tendency among staff to stand and talk with each other while we waited to have drinks refilled, and a condiment we asked for. Food was ok (cheap for happy hour, so that's alright) and drinks were very good.
I enjoy the happy hour prices ($6 for a shrimp tempura roll!) but feel that the dinner prices are steep for the quality. Regardless, I've always experienced amazing service at Crave.
I visited Crave with a group from work and was pleasantly surprised. I had a filet mignon with vegetables and some type of coconut cake for dessert. The steak was cooked as requested and tasted great. They had live music and the singer was really good.
The restaurant was clean and well organized for easy movement to and from the buffet. Everyone was extremely nice. We were greeted and seated quickly. The buffet food was plentiful and everything was hot. A nice variety of very tasty food. I will definitely return again and tell my friends and family.
Visited Crave again after a disappointing experience on a previous visit - had promised to give it another shot. I'm very happy to report that the experience was seamless this time! Our waiter was fantastic, the food was very good (better than expected for this level of restaurant), and the Open Table process worked smoothly. I'll be back, and I'm glad that they seem to have made the tweaks needed! Good visit!
My husband and I went here for dinner. We really enjoyed it. The hostess seated us right away, the waitress and even the owner/manager of the restaurant were both very attentive, and the atmosphere was great. We had the crunchy salmon sushi roll as an appetizer and it was delicious! We both had steak frites for the main meal and that was also very good. Not the most amazing steak I've ever had, but definitely enjoyable. The prices were reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend.
Great atmosphere and the staff was very attentive. The menu was diverse, which allowed each person in my party of 7 to have several viable options! Our selections ranged from sushi to beef stroganoff to a lamb burger. The great thing was that everyone really enjoyed their meal! We'll definitely be back 😁
The husband and I went there for Omaha Restaurant Week to try it since we had never been there. We ordered off the Special Menu for that event. It was a three course meal. For the first course Crab Cakes and Greek Flat bread. We found each to be very delicious. Second course we ordered Steak Medallions with Risotto and Lemon Garlic Chicken. Steak was cooked perfectly but the Risotto was a touch too dry for my taste but it still had good flavor. The Lemon Garlic Chicken was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The third course we each ordered the Tiramisu. We enjoyed our dessert with a cup of coffee to round out our meal. We plan on going back to try some of their other menu items.
My Wife and I went to CRAVE for Valentine's dinner early Saturday night (4:30 to beat the rush). The overall experience was mediocre. The hostess was an idiot to begin with and then forgot to seat us once our table was ready. The food was just ok but our Waiter Ricardo from Colombia was great and the manager did give my wife a free hot chocolate since every time the side door was opened the 15 degree wind blew right in on us. If it weren't for Ricardo and that hot chocolate I would give 2 stars at best.
Staff weren't very friendly or attentive. Drinks took a looong time to get to table and food came right after. Sushi (California and Godzills rolls) was pretty good, but pasta (Baked Mac n cheese) not so much. Probably will pick somewhere else next time I'm spending that amount of money.
Enjoyed the food and décor. Crave is very modern and stylish. However, they are a bit overpriced for the quality of food. I expect more if I'm going to pay $15-$20+ a meal. I am not saying the food is horrible, I just expect my taste buds to light up. The service is horrible. Countless of times I have waited over several minutes to talk to a host/hostess to be seated. It is not like they were busy, but there was no one at the front to greet and seat me. Also other staff members were walking around and paid no attention to me or anyone who were awaiting to be seated I had to walk to the bartender so that she could fetch a host/hostess. Consequently, my waitress was not a pleasure either. It was sloppy presentation; reaching over my food to fill my water, acted if she didn't seem enthusiastic, and just sloppy. I do go back occasionally because it is very near my apartment and it is one few restaurants at mid-town.
I wish I could do two reviews - one for service and regular menu items, and another for brunch. The service and regular menu get five stars but brunch gets only one. We've gone to brunch three different times, one major holiday and two random visits, and they have been unable to keep the options stocked on all three occasions. While there are many tasty options on the buffet, you don't actually have much to pick from because most everything is empty.
So we went there to celebrate my friend and I's birthday with two other ladies and we will NOT be back. The service was horrible and it wasn't the servers fault. He was a gentleman, Richardo. However there were several tables that walked in and out before we had even gotten our food. And the restaurant wasn't even busy. The food was not worth the price. I normally don't complain. But like I said all four of us left upset and disappointed!
Although the food was good, the service left a lot to be desired. We were sat at an outdoor table with a fair amount of bird poop on it. The server left us waiting for every step of the process, even as we watched people sat after us get their food. 2 times someone else's food was delivered to our table, and then our food was delivered to someone else's table. Not sure if this was a fluke, but we will not be repeat customers.
I have never been more disappointed. Got there at 5:15 pm did not get waited on until 5:30 pm. Did not get food till 6:30. And to get a refill on water, soda or drink, we were never asked by the server if needed refills or even how our food was. I had to go get my own refill on my drink. Food was fantastic when we got it. Matthew needs to get retrained. We are usually a huge fan of this place. You are loosing us as a repeat customer.
I have eaten here a couple of times and the food is decent. Overpriced, but decent. I saw today they have closed their doors in midtown to move out west to “better serve their demographic”. Clearly they flatter themselves. Just because you charge a lot for the food does not make it better. Have fun in West Omaha, Crave. You sure as hell are not worth the drive or the money.
Made a reservation and when we showed up the hostess was confused and not prepared with a table. We were sat back between the bathrooms and kitchen which if you have ever worked in the restraint industry is where you sit people who you think will be an issue. We were dining with our children who are well behaved when it comes to eating out. Between people pushing past our chairs or table to get to bathroom or kitchen it made our dining environment very rough and distracted. Our kids were allowed to order first but the server didn't come back to take our orders until 10 minutes after the kids had been eating. Which of course would mean we would have to rush to eat. We had to ask for my husbands beer again after we ordered it as it never arrived. There was an issue with our bill that we had to track someone down to be corrected. We weren't dining on a busy day, it was a Tuesday evening at 730pm. Food was decent but overpriced for what you get. We won't be returning.
Like most other people, I had heard about "Crave" and thought it sounded good and decided to give it a try. When we got there no one was standing at the host/hostess podium and it took several minutes for someone to come by and offer their assistance. Then we were told we couldn't be seated at a table and had to sit at the bar because they were waiting for a "big party" to come in even though the restaurant was not busy that night and plenty of the tables were free. This definitely did not make us feel like valued customers. It seems that many people have also had various seating arrangement issues at this place. Also, much like other reviews I've read, it took them a very long time to get around to taking our order. When we got our food the both of us were very dissatisfied with our meal and it was really overpriced for what you're actually getting. The bartender was a sweetheart and bless her heart for having to deal with something that is not in her job description especially when it entails two unsatisfied customers. The manager was also very kind, he gave us a discount on our meal which made us both happy. That's the best I can say about this place is that it seems to have SOME understanding and hardworking people, thankfully our experience with service was not that bad and I have to say I did like the atmosphere and the beautiful décor. Btw, we were there for an hour or more and the big party never showed. This had me a bit peeved considering that whole time we could have been seated at an actual table if our hostess had been willing to make it work. Thanks "Crave". I wouldn't be back even if I lived there.
First and last time going to this restaurant. My husband and I came here after hearing very good things. After being seated, we had no cutlery or water and had to ask the waiter twice before receiving any and that was after the appetizer had arrived. Once we got our meal it was cold and my chicken was extremely burnt, and my husband's steak wasn't cooked properly. The service was terrible and what made matters worse was that the table next to us was getting all the attention, from the same waiter, and we were barely noticed. Needless to say I will not be back.
We went to Crave Christmas Eve after Mass to take my parents out. We were greeted promptly and sat quickly at 6pm. The girl took our drink orders, including milk for the 13yo, water, and Coffee with a shot of RumChata. Milk and water took 20 minutes to arrive, and I received coffee with Drambuie in it. Not the same. I advised the waitress as such; 10 minutes later was told there was no RumChata, so I requested Bailey's....received it 20 minutes later. We placed our food order at the time we received our drinks; and while the restaurant was busy, it wasn't packed. 45 minutes later, we finally got our food. It was.....okay at best. It seemed that our waitress was not a normal wait person, but was filling in, trying to help, and was overwhelmed. Management didn't assist the poor girl until after the fact. Halfway through, my son requested another order of pasta as he was still hungry, and we were advised would take 5-7 minutes; he received it 20 minutes later. I was embarrassed about the timeframe involved with my parents, and will not go back.
The sushi menu was very lackluster in its variety so I requested simple rolls like a tuna roll. I was charged almost triple the price of other similar simple rolls. Food was brought out slow with the hot items ordered arriving cold. I will definitely not be back to this place and strongly encourage others to look elsewhere.
I've tried CRAVE three times and each time my experience was not good. After hearing such buzz about CRAVE as the "it" place to go in mid-town I've been anxious to try it out for some time. The 1st time I stopped in (December) we were seated at a table directly next to the entrance. Service was really slow. The 2nd time we used Open Table to make a reservation before a concert in Omaha (February). After getting their early (and attempting to grab a drink at the bar, which took 20+ minutes) the hostess told us that we didn't have a table and again were sat at the table next to the entrance. We ordered sushi which took the better part of an hour to arrive and when it finally did the eel sauce drizzled on top of our rolls had almost completely absorbed in to the rice, the cooked rolls were ice cold. The 3rd (and final time) I was told the pizza oven was not working so flat-breads and pizza's were off the menu. I ordered a cocktail and was told they were out of ingredients to make it. At the end of our meal we asked the server for separate tickets as we had Living Social deal that we'd purchased; he said no problem. A few minutes later the manager stopped by our table and let us know that we couldn't use them since they were only good one per table. Fine, no big deal. I took the opportunity to explain the other times I'd been to CRAVE and the poor experiences that I've had he raised his voice to me and basically laughed off my concerns. He was completely rude and condescending. I'll never be back to CRAVE and have asked for a refund from Living Social for the deal I purchased online!
Low quality food. Terrible service. Management is even worse when something goes wrong (which seems to be every time) they give you the same corporate run around. "Oh yes im sorry about your server being a slob and rude would you like a discount on your meal." No thanks id like for this eating establishment to be wiped from the face of the earth. ill never be returning again. There menu is now smaller and there hours are cut lets just hope this means a closing will be happening in the near future so no one ever decides they think crave is a good place to eat.
Expensive. Food not up to standards, especially for being in an upscale part of town. Well decorated building, but awkward seating. Lighting sucks. Service VERY POOR: forgotten drinks, food took too long, not friendly, and felt rushed. Management came to apologize, but even then, it felt like they were doing us a favor. If I could give minus a star, I would.
Not impressed! The food and service were awful! For a Mothers Day breakfast, we as mothers should have felt important, but nope, not at all. We were shoved off to the side and pretty much left to be forgotten about. The 'grand buffet' was mediocre and very unorganized. Not worth the time and money and I will not be back.
Activated a credit card the day before, had made absolutely 0 purchases on the card. Used it to pay for lunch here - the next day there were 8 purchases made at various Walmart's in Council Bluffs. Food was okay - but probably should consider paying cash. Obviously never coming here again - and speak against it when asked.
This was the second time at Crave. The fist was before a concert, and it was very busy, so I didn't hold that against them. Tonight however, there was no excuse. 5 of us ordered 5 different things, and the top comment was "it's cold inside". My only conclusion is that this is the world's most expensive Applebee's! Poor execution, and horribly understaffed. My prediction. ...gone by 2019. I hate to be an ass, but it really was that bad. The poor waitress tried to get the manager over to talk to us, but after 15 minutes of waiting, we paid the bill and left. Good luck!
On Nov 23rd, we invited 3 of our friends to Crave to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived early and the waiter asked if we wanted to order appetizers as we waited. We said yes but before we could order he was gone and didn't come back until our friends arrived. That should have been our first warning. We ordered dinner. My partner ordered the rib eye and when he started to eat it everything on the plate was cold. We sent it back but by that point he did not trust that they would prepare it properly and made them take it away. Since he didn't eat because of their error, they could have at least removed the meal from our check. However, they did not. I paid it without saying anything because they ruined our anniversary celebration as it was. I didn't want to end the night by having to get into an argument with the managers. We will never go back to this restaurant again. We will definitely warn our friends to never go back there.
We had mothers day reservations at 9am (when they opened). When we got there the lady at the front desk cut us off and told us very rudely that they weren't ready or set up yet- okay. Then we get seated at a table that we all barely fit at.. even with our little children and was back in the corner away from all other tables. Our server came around maybe 2 times and asked refilled our drinks that got back to us MAYBE 10 minutes later. Buffet was horrible. Very bland food and not a lot of choices for kids. There were staff members standing by the bar near the buffet line MAKING FUN OF CUSTOMERS that were getting food. Our overall experience was horrible. Will not be coming back that's for sure.
Absolutely not worth the money. I'll admit, we had a larger party (10) but that's no excuse for extremely long wait times for drinks and food, mediocre staff at best, and overpriced low quality dishes. I didn't even bother drinking here because I didn't want the bill to be that much worse. To top off the experience, our reservation wasn't going to be honored (which was made online 2hrs in advance) but they scrambled and rushed to clear tables for us. Overall, I don't recommend CRAVE and I doubt I'll be back. AND, they added 18% gratuity without our waiter letting us know about it.
FOOD WAS COLD after we waited an hour for it! And it was WAY overpriced for what we got. The server was nice, but that's about it. They kept explaining that the sushi guy was all alone, etc., except we all ordered steaks (there was some sushi ordered, but that wasn't our concern). The steaks, potatoes and veggies were literally cold. They also said they had several big parties and were overwhelmed. Well, to me that's an excuse because our party had to have a reservation, so I assume the others did as well meaning you should be aware of the volume of patrons you were going to have and should have staff accordingly. After voicing our concern and displeasure, we did get the food taken care of, but we had to put up a pretty big stink to get to a resolution that was satisfactory. And honestly, I don't think the food was that great anyway-especially for the prices! I will not return.
