Daphne's in Ontario receives mixed reviews. Many customers praise the fresh food, fire feta sauce, and lemon chicken soup. However, some report declining portion sizes, high prices, inconsistent food quality (dry chicken, charred kabobs), and unfriendly service.

I can't believe that I finally found another Daphne's. The one that I used to go to in Riverside off of Central closed. Then I found this one after a Sam's Club trip in Ontario. I just had to go in and see if they were the same. Yes, the Lemon Chicken soup is definitely the same delicious 😋 I'm a happy girl... 😊
I ordered a Greek Bowl and it was excellent. Everything was cooked and seasoned well. The fire feta sauce was awesome. I could have eaten another 20 pieces of the warm pita. Friendly staff. Very clean.
Nice vibe. Great staff. The chicken was a bit dry but still good. That lemon drop soup was everything.
I looooove this place! The food is delicious 😋 all the Daphnes by my house closed (3l I'm begging not to close this one please!! Font break my heart!!🙏💙🩵💚
Although they have gotten pretty expensive over the past few years, Daphne's is worth visiting because the food is always fresh and tastes great. The fire feta sauce is my favorite item on the menu and makes everything else taste that much better.
Excellent food. No complaints. Spicy in a good way( the spice doesn't linger and feels good) Cool atmosphere with good music. Good service.

Friendly service! We were excited to visit a family favorite that is no longer located near us. We ordered the mix and match plates. The portion sizes were a bit disappointing for the price. The proteins were much smaller than previous visits and the pita bread and hummus portions have shrunk. What once used to be an affordable ($30), filling dinner for two now cost us $50 and we didn't get the soup or baklava. They were out of the lemon chicken soup and apparently it is often hard to get it, so I recommend calling ahead if it is something you want. Strangely, the two containers of the brewed tea was mistakenly brewed with the flavored option. We will probably visit again, but not purchase the platters again.

We used to go to the one in Pasadena when we lived there over 15 years ago. Loved it. Then we moved to the high desert where there isn't one. So we stopped here on the way. Wasn't as great as we remembered it. The food is still good, but we realized we can get good gyros at other places too.
This is one of my favorite places in the area. I used to work close by and would have lunch here all the time. I was back in the area, shopping with my wife, and we stopped by and ate lunch. The food was as perfect as I remember! The gyros are fantastic! I got fries on the side, it was the perfect amount of food. I always leave wanting more, but quite satisfied. My wife had the chicken special, leg, and thigh on rice. She really liked it as well. I remember getting thier Kabobs and their chicken, it's all really good. I'm glad to see that it is every bit as good as I remembered.

Ordered Chicken Kabob plate. I prefer the kabobs not charred because of the carcinogenic effect. Highly recommend not to prepare as charred chicken. The serving style and front person - Justin was very great. They didn't have pickled turnips or beets etc. It does not look like a real Mediterranean style of food. It's just ok.
Found this one near by the Ontario Mills Mall. Ordered the mix & match with option of 2 proteins (opted for steak & chicken skewers) which comes with side salad. The portion is decent, but the skewers meat were a bit too little and too small (only 3 meats per skewer). Also, very good customer service. Note: if you use Yelp to check-in, you can get either a free drink or dessert.
For nearly $6 extra to make it a meal, I expect far more French fries. This is unacceptable. This is less than a handful.

Daphne's was one of my favorites, but I have not been in a while, so when I saw this one I had to stop and get lunch! Sooooo disappointed 😔☹️ , spent almost 15 bucks after tax for 2 small portions (no drink) and left hungry!!! The SMALL bowl of lemon chicken soup was delicious but 90% rice with a few carrots and literally 2 small chunks of chicken! The pita bread was delicious as well but I guess a small side of yogurt sauce no longer comes with the bowl of soup? The side of gyro meat was a very small portion , but tasty. In conclusion this will probably be my last visit to Daphne's, too bad it used to be great! No wonder I was the only one eating here!!!!

I deliver for a 3rd party delivery service and had a catering order to pickip from here. The young gentleman working here isn't very friendly. Every order i get here, the customer ask for catering utensils but they keep saying they don't have any. The worker has an attitude saying I was attacking him which I wasn't. I was referring to the owners that their not doing their job in providing what customers are asking for. The 3rd party delivery service I deliver for, the customer can rate us and yes, I have been given a bad rating for no serving utensils which is the restaurants responsibility. Will never eat here as a customer! I will have to continue picking orders from here unfortunately but will have to let each customer I deliver to know that they don't provide serving utensils and that I'm sorry. I'm just hoping someday this location gets taken off the list of restaurants.

The loaded fries are described as having both grilled chicken and gyro. I got charged an extra $5 for the gyro. I specially asked for my fries to be cooked well because I had to drive a ways before I could eat them. These are not well. These are gross, cold, mealy potatoes. Everything else is skimpy and disappointing. I guess it doesn't really matter since I won't eat the soggy potatoes. I hate spending $20 for lunch when I'm starving, only to throw it away.
First time here. The front cashier was welcoming and helpful, answered all my questions. That's the extent of my positive experience in the lobby. I waited for my food and heard one of the employees casually cursing every other word he spoke, calling everyone bro, all while the few guests in the lobby were watching them. I got my food, but no napkins, silverware, etc. No problem. I got up to get my own from a customer facing tray full of napkins, disposables forks, knives, etc. I smile at the guy behind the grill and grab a fork. He says I need to ask for any of those things, "bro." I couldn't tell if he was joking at first, but he affirmed any forward facing napkins and utensils, I need to ask to be given to me because there's other customers. No sign saying we couldn't self serve. I didn't expect that given it's customer facing. Between the lunch full of F words and being unkindly told I couldn't have a napkin and fork without asking, I probably won't come back. Professionalism is pretty low here. The food was good though.
This was the first time I've been to Daphnes. The restaurant was empty. We were not greeted. It was such an inconvenience for the female staff member with dark brown hair to help us and take our orders. She was in a bad mood and seemed super impatient. I should have walked out immediately but still stuck it out on trying the place. My grilled chicken and rice meal was decent. The taziki tasted like plain yogurt. The Hummus bowl was not good. It was suppose to include Tabouleh, but they failed to mention they were out of it. It was substituted with extra Greek salad which wasn't good. Even the hummus tasted gross. I will not be back.
The young lady is not welcoming. Not helpful at all. This was my first time, and I was craving a Gyro. I asked if they had it on the grill. She said they sold out and had some left in a pan. Sold out at 1150 in the morning? Nevertheless, I tried it from the pan. It wasn't very good. Kinda old tasting. If you have not tasted the sams club gyro kit. It's better than this place. I wish she was more helpful. I tried to get her to help me and to no avail.
Bad customer service and too expensive, they gave me rice and mix kabobs with no salad, I felt like I’m eating dry rice and when I asked I need a salad it should come with salad like most of Arabic restaurants they were you have to pay extra money when I already paid $24 just for one order one plate , I will never go back there ,

this place used to be so great. we would go often... but, the 4 person family meal barely fed 2 people now and the cost was so expensive. they barely put the rice, the meat, even the salad was barely there. the food is still good... the portions sucks and the cost is way too expensive for the little portions they serve. we no longer go here 💔
Looked this place up for lunch. Arrived and found out they are closed down. Waste of my time.
