Y Nhu Bakery & Cafe is a hidden gem for Banh Mi lovers, praised for its authentic and delicious sandwiches. Customers rave about the fresh baguettes and flavorful fillings, especially the grilled pork version. A recent negative review mentioned spoiled Nem Chua.
Tip: If you're new to Vietnamese Banh Mi, this is a great place to start. Try the grilled pork version for an excellent experience.
If you ever wanted to expose somebody new to Vietnamese banh mi, you wouldn't be failing them here. Loved the grilled pork version. Incredible bread - maybe the best banh mi bread in town. The thin crunchy crust yeilds to the soft core as you bite through. The excellent paté is not overpowering, but is an optional add. Fresh crisp vegetables taste like they were cut to order. The thinly sliced grilled pork has the perfectly caramelized char. (They used to slice it overly thick imo, but have since made it better.) FYI: If you get the bbq pork, just know it has the skin on it. And it doesn't taste barbecued. More like steamed. Not the crispy kind of skin, but the jiggly kind. You got to be a little more hardcore to enjoy this one. Not a fan. The pork bao bun is in a league of its own. Absolutely outstanding. Perfectly seasoned pork and wood ear mushrooms, egg, and even a slice of fermented Vietnamese sausage: Nem Nuong; it was delicious. Plus, if you get there in the morning, they're still hot. In fact, speaking of morning, this is one of the few places in town you can get a fresh made banh mi at 8:30 a.m. Gimme this for breakfast any day.
Man, what a sense of nostalgia. The comical Vietnamese chatter in the background. The interactions between the staff and their customers. The jokes made. It felt like I was attending a reunion of my childhood. Needless to say, service was excellent. There is ready to eat food items at the front. I arrived at 1130am on a Tuesday, and the Banh Cuon tray felt warm and fresh so I nabbed one, along with ordering a Banh Mi Thit Ngoui (traditional cold cuts sandwich) and a Vietnamese coffee. Bánh cuốn is a Vietnamese dish of steamed rice flour pancakes that literally translates to "rolled cakes" in English. It's often eaten for breakfast or a snack in Vietnam. This one was stuffed with minced meat, and came with steamed pork slices ("cha"), fish sauce (nuoc mam), and fresh veggies/herbs. It was delicious! I hardly ever get to find these so fresh. The Banh Mi was great! The bread was perfect, the best baguette I've had in Orlando so far. It was fresh out of the oven, soft, and crispy all at once. The portion of meats/pate/veggies in the sandwich was perfect! Everything balanced really well and no components overtook the other. My only gripe is the headcheese (a type of cold cut) was a bit too thick for my liking which made it tough to bite through effortlessly at some points. I give the banh mi a solid 9/10. The coffee was perfect and strong, a flawless representation of Vietnamese coffee 👊💥
I’ve made it a mission to try out all the banh mi spots in Orlando. This place serves quality banh mi, with enough sauce and ingredients to match up to its price. The $5 big bao was amazing, the ingredients were proportionate to the dough, and the sugarcane juice was great! This place is worth your money and time. I will definitely return here!
I didn’t know what to expect entering this spot, but I am glad I did go to Y Nhu Bakery and Cafe! The lady was very nice and we ordered a bao bun and a pork pastry as well as some Macarons. Everything was super delicious and flavorful and I 100% recommend a visit! I definitely will be returning here for a banh mi sandwich in the future😋
Ordered the cold cut banh mi (#1 on the menu - Combination/Thit Nguoi). The bread is crispy on the outside and soft inside, the Combination is delicious. Their mango smoothie is also awesome. The guy at the counter looks like a rock star. Highly recommended!
Immediately impressed with the service and food here. The Bánh Mí is phenomenal 😍! Taste is amazing! The New England place we eat at is not as good as this place. Try the coffee & sugar cane drinks 🍸; they're spectacular 👌!
Great little take out spot with a nice selection of Vietnamese banh mi options! Made on traditional bread similar to what I found in southern Vietnam, the #9 grilled pork is one of my favorites!
Offered different kinds of Banh Mi. We ordered #4, #8, #9, #10, summer rolls, bun bao and sugar cane juice. The food was delicious. The Do Chua - pickled carrots and radish could’ve marinate longer in my opinion, needed more sweet/sour/salty balance. Overall food was great and the Banh Mi we got the meat were flavorful and the baguette was star of the sandwiches!
The best AUTHENTIC bánh mì in Orlando. Buy 5 get 1 free sandwiches. The meat and vegetables are fresh. This is run by a small Vietnamese family and they’re so kind. Don’t forget about the amazing Vietnamese desserts made by the owner, Le. The other bánh mì stores never top this place. Will definitely come again.
One of the best VN togo restaurants in the town after Nha Trang Subs (Banh Mi Nha Trang closed due to retirement)
The place to go for Bahn Mi in Orlando. Ten different ones to choose from. All six dollars or less. Other fresh made bakery items to choose from, such as pork steam bun. Food items made with local ingredients.
Best banh mi. The baguettes have the perfect crunchy exterior. The meat to veggie ratio is perfection. Authentic, authentic.
They were kind enough to let me wait in their establishment while I waited for a tow truck for my car. Tried the Pork Steam Bun and the Sesame Bun. They were delicious. Great service, wonderful food.
The coconut jelly was very good. Honest service. The person at the register actually gave back our changes when she realized she missed calculated the total cost.
Only went for coffee but it was strong and worth every penny you can drink half wait for the ice to melt and get a whole 2nd drink.
Original Vietnamese sandwich we always get 20 and take back home to family, fresh toasted and very tasty. Enjoy!
The banh mi did not disappoint! The banh mi are buy 5 get 1 free, and are very big sandwiches so I bought some for the whole family and they loved it. The meatball and grilled pork are delicious, but I was actually wow-ed by the chicken because it had a mildly sweet curry flavor. They had my favorite dessert (Sam bo Luong) and I also got the ginger dough balls dessert, sesame balls, and banh BAO and they were all so fresh. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back!
This is my flavor one banh mi. They almost opened 10 years. Always come back and bring more friends here to try
The BEST banh mis in Florida. Also got a bag of shrimp chips which were delicious, and an order of the taro pudding. Everything was easily a 10/10. I got the combination banh mi and my partner got the bbq pork. Will definitely be back!
I’ve tried a few different bahn mi shops in Orlando and this one is my absolute favorite. They always give me a free sub when i purchase 5 or more! You really get your bang for your buck. They are generous with their portion sizes and the young fella running the register is so kind. Keep up the great work. Always a pleasure doing business with you all.
Substantially better than any place where I'm from, Philly. I love that they shave the inner bread of the banh mi, so there is a great ratio that makes it delicious. They also smothered the pate, which I loved every bite. Wow, forgot what a good banh mi taste like!
BEST VIETNAMESE COFFEE EVER!!!!!! Their shop is very clean and you can tell they make everything fresh and authentic. They always greet you & the aura in the shop is welcoming. Once you come here, you won’t regret it.
Have plenty of Banh Mi in my life and this one is one to go back again and again. I think the key ingredient is the bread because it gives it a good flavor. Combined with the other ingredients, is simply delicious! Usually pick a six pack with the veggies on the side, to keep it dry, and eat them later for lunch, dinner, snack. Highly recommended! Friendly staff too. They also have more goodies to eat as well. Enjoy!!! If you know what you want, you can call ahead and they'll have it ready for you. Definitely try the Banh Mi special. Update, was there on Saturday and the bahn mi are as good as the last time 👍🏼 Keep it up!
My wife and I have been coming here for 6 years it has the best number one combo sandwich ever! The flavor is amazing crunchy and absolutely delicious! Everything we pass through Orlando we always make a stop!
LOVE ME SOME BANH MI!! My Family and I love this shop and the people. You have to try their Banh gio, I also love thier Xu mi Banh mi, my wife and kids love all the desserts. I guess what makes this place good also is the service and staff, very nice people. I went to another Banh mi just down the street and the staff was rude and unprofessional and it showed in their food (it was not good). I highly recommend Y Nhu Bakery.
Really good Banh Mi on the east side of town! The new store expansion is nice. There are 2-3 tables if you want to eat your Banh Mi on the spot. Bread is good! They do run out of bread quickly so call ahead!
I love their banh mi!! Best ones I have ever had! Their bread is so good and their prices are amazing! I have tried other places when they were closed on Fridays during May but no one comes even close for flavor! They are No 1 in my book!
Best banh mi in town. I always try to get my bread from here because they bake them to perfection and sold for 50¢ a loaf! The number 1 combination banh mi is so full of savory flavor with the paté and pork and the pickled veg's acidity compliments it so well. They also put cilantro and jalapeno in it to kick up the freshness. If you're looking for your next hole in the wall adventure try this place out
I stopped by the food store on the way back to Atlanta. The service was fast. The sandwiches tasted good. They have other ready-to-eat foods. The price is fair, and affordable.
My go to for baguettes and Vietnamese yummies. Everything is always consistently excellent and flavorful with good portions and prices compared to all the other places. I usually get xiu mai, combo, che ba mau, and coconut jello but I never seem to be able to leave without trying something new. It’s a family run business. The staff don’t speak English well and not great to ask questions in English but everyone especially the owners and their kids are always kind, helpful and really care about their food and customers. It’s mainly long time devoted locals like me that come here often. They get everyone in and out quickly. Their focus is on the food and keeping their prices consistently more affordable than all the other places. The place is clean and roomy with ample little tables to stay and eat. Bonus: they also use Kangen ionized water filtration here.
Amazing food! Tastes authentic to the Vietnamese food I used to eat as a child. I ordered 2 banh mi, banh cuon, and a banh tet. These are hard for me to find where I live at, so next time I am in the nearby area I will definitely make a visit.
I freaking love this place. I come almost every week. The bread is true vietnamese/French bread. Don't sleep on the drinks and tapas that are made daily in the front
Good Bánh mì, drinks and other desserts. My only complaint is the shredded carrots in bánh mì a little too sweet for me. A bit sour would be perfect but that is my taste
Come here for the buy 5 get 1 free banh mi ($22.50) deal. I always get the combination (#1) as it has all the cold cut meats. The baguette is always freshly made and they separate the veggies so it won't get soggy.
True banh mi shop in Orlando that makes it own fresh bread. Very authentic. Very close to
One of my Vietnamese buddy brought me here for a team lunch. I loved the sandwich. It had jalapenos and was really good.
The patiso pastry had meat inside that was perfectly cooked, and had a crispy outside like a croissant. Bought a vietnamese yogurt as well and it was great refreshment
Best bánh mì in orlando! The bread is so crispy when you toast it! Always the place to go when in the area!
Very friendly staff! Le, the owner of the store, is so kind. I'm usually intimidated trying different foods with unfamiliar names, but they were helpful with our order and we absolutely loved the food, which was authentic vietnamese.
My favorite Banh mi in Orlando!!
Awesome Vietnamese subs. There are many other delicious foods in this bakery. They make their own fresh breads here.
Best Vietnamese Banh Mi in Orlando, in my opinion. Buttery, yummy. Make sure to order in advance for timely service.
Randomly stopped by on a Tuesday morning, and this is definitely an authentic spot. I could tell that it was a little piece of home for people that frequented. There was a bit of a language barrier but everyone was really sweet and the bahn mi was sooo good. The perfect mix of sweet, spicy and savory and I also got the fresh sugar cane juice and the Vietnamese coffee (ca phe). The best coffee I’ve tried and the sugar cane juice was refreshing. Really enjoyed our food and would definitely stop by again.
What a great bakery! One of my favorites. Amazing selection of baked goods, delicious coffee. Please stop in Family operated. Surprisingly fair/low priced delicious junk food, especially Vietnamese Breads “bánh mì thịt”. Vietnam's salt coffee. If you love sweet treats, you need to visit this place for “chè ba màu”. Very friendly staff, they’re more than willing to answer any and all questions.
Don’t let the 1 star reviews fool you! Many of them are honestly just mad they couldn’t communicate with the workers. The food is absolutely amazing! Got the combo Banh mi - so much meat and pate (liver). The pork bun filled with pork and an egg!! Very filling as well! Must have. TOFU PANDAN IS 100000 MUST GET AND THE DRINKS ARE JUST LIKE TRADITIONAL ASIAN ONES 🤤🤤 And got the Logan and date seaweed sugar drink is so fresh as well as the sugar cane! Cash and credit! Side note- Just because you’re not used to the fast pace culture of Asians, doesn’t mean they rude either. Don’t take it out on them. The place where they don’t speak English are usually the most authentic and deliciously cheap. Le is amazing! She and her husband are the only ones who speak English. Use the point finger method like I did 🤣
Tried the 'Che Bap,' a sweet corn pudding featuring a blend of corn kernels and sticky rice, drizzled with coconut milk for a pleasantly chewy and sweet sensation, enjoyable both warm and cold. Also sampled the pomelo pudding, which offered a chewy texture and a refreshing taste. It might become a bit repetitive over time, as it's relatively straightforward.
Best banh mi in orlando. They make their own bread (only one in orlando!) the vegetables and meat is fresh. Also the only place I go to get my banh cuon / steam rice rolls and banh bao / pork buns.
Super Clean and Still the closet thing to Vietnamese Sandwich, Dessert and that Vietnamese Ice Coffee like in Vietnam! Super Nice folks and still affordable to eat.
I've been going to this place here and there for about 20 years when the name was Boston Bakery. Every time I'm in Orlando, this is the place where I go for lunch or even grab and go for road trip back home to Tallahassee. I know the owner very well since our daughter were in Russian Ballet together. This is my comfort place to go to for quick food! The family and their team are so friendly and kind as always. I can't wait for more Banh mi years to come! No matter what the business name now, I'll always love it!! ❤️
Small Vietnamese bakery and sandwich shop. Ready bao buns in case, many options for banh mi. Fresh and filling. Will be back!
Y Nhu Bakery has always been a personal favorite of mine when it comes to fresh Banh Mi and delicious desserts that remind me of home. This place deserves so much recognition for their authenticity and service. I also recommend trying the Salted Coffee made in house. I love coffee with strong aromatics and other flavor profiles, such a delicious combination!
This is my favorite place in this neighborhood - the food, the atmosphere is very laid back, prices better or same as all around here. The smoothies are good, with distinctive flavor. Recently, newer, glossier cafes have opened, but dont have, for me, the flovors and their prices are higher. i can order whatever banh mi i want - they are made to order just behind the counter, and there are tables and a bench to sit or stand. Service is always friendly, and even the clientele is friendly, and polite.
Bahn mi lived up to it's reputation! Very good, well balanced meat to veggie. The grilled pork was very tasty and the baguette was perfectly crusty. The staff was very kind and seemed to remember their customers. Can't wait to come back and try some of their sweets and prepared foods
My favorite Banh Mi place hands down.
The BEST banh mi in orlando!!! The bread is perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, generous pate and the fillings so flavorful and refreshing. The classic blows me away every single time, so so yummy!!!!
Had a great time here. The staff was great. The Bahn was great. They have a salted (salt-thickened) cream iced coffee that was really interesting. The consistency and flavor was between whipped cream and brie cheese. Would definitely go again!
I love coming to y nhu bakery, they have the BEST banh mi & the Vietnamese coffee is so delicious! I also will get the lychee boba which I’m also obsessed with! They are so sweet and welcoming. The price is honestly so good for what you get! I highly recommend :)
As a fellow Vietnamese brethren, this place is amazing! The sandwhich was hot and ready! Great ingredients. Reminds me of the mother land! I got the sugar cane juice too and it was so refreshing on a hot day.
Best banh mi we ever had. The bread is crusty and crispy, seems like they bake their own bread. It’s very light and the filling to bread ratio is perfect
One of the best Banh Mi sandwiches I’ve ever had, the steam buns were great too
We came to Y Nhu's as recommended by a co- worker. Found the Vietnamese sandwiches everyone talked about, and their smoothies are super delicious. I appreciated the customer oriented attitude as well. Way to go, Y Nhu.
I’m picky with banh mi. I live within 1 mile of 4 banh mi bakeries and here are the reasons why Y Nhu is my number #1 choice for the last 10 years: 1. Best bread and best filling hands down. I’ve tried them all and my go to are number 1.8.9.12 xa xiu, thit nguoi, dac biet, thit nuong. I always call ahead and ask for extra mayonnaise. Also I always go for the buy 5 and get the 6th free deal and order veggies on the side. 2. Bao bun - they rarely have buns as they get sold out quickly most morning. Their bao is the best in orlando. Pillowy soft dough with perfectly seasoned egg, Chinese sausage, mushrooms, ground meat and I don’t know. I dare you to find me a better bao than this place. 3. Banh cuon aka rice noodle rolls aka steamed rice roll- a few restaurants make this but what make this banh cuon special is the ratio of rice flour. I grew up eating this banh cuon made from scratch from grinding rice into flour- This is the most authentic banh cuon I’ve had in orlando. They will let you order by the pounds but make sure you give them a few hours ahead. 4. Other desserts/snacks that I like from here: Che/sweet desert is made in limited batch and they taste amazing, banh gio (rice flour with savory ground pork, egg, mushroom erdpoed in banana leaves), coconut jello, nem nuong cuon (cured pork spring rolls) , banh cam (sesame ball with mung bean filling) Go and you will be sad that you did not know about this place sooner.
Great little Vietnamese deli. I pre ordered the grilled pork Ban Mi and it was absolutely delicious! The bread was crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Previously I ordered bao buns stuffed with egg and pork, again phenomenal. Fun and friendly service also !
"A Hidden Gem for Bánh Mì Lovers!" If you're looking for an authentic, flavorful, and downright delicious Bánh Mì, look no further. This place absolutely nails it on every level. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked baguettes and sizzling meats that instantly make your mouth water. The baguette? Perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of chewiness. The filling is a masterclass in balance. The combination of tender, well-seasoned meats (I went for the pork, but the options are endless) paired with the vibrant crunch of pickled vegetables, fresh cilantro, and a smear of velvety pâté is nothing short of magical. Every bite is a perfect blend of savory, sweet, sour, and spicy. But it's not just about the sandwich itself—it's the little things that elevate the experience. The sauces, which are just the right level of spice without overpowering, the perfectly fresh veggies that add crunch and vibrancy, and the sheer care that goes into crafting each sandwich. You can tell that every ingredient is carefully sourced and that the staff genuinely cares about the quality of the food they serve. The service is always friendly and quick, and the prices are unbelievably reasonable for such a high-quality sandwich. Whether you're a Bánh Mì aficionado or a newbie, this place is an absolute must-try. It's the kind of spot you crave when you're in the mood for something satisfying, comforting, and packed with flavor. Will I be back? Absolutely. This place has quickly become my go-to for a Bánh Mì fix, and I can’t recommend it enough!
Feeling lucky that today we enjoyed a super fresh and delicious Banh sub at the Y Nhu Bakery& Cafe. Authentic and wonderful. Hostess is very helpful with the menu and stocks her favorite snacks for purchase. Had to get the geeen tea Kit Kats. Cashews with the shell, Asian style crackers. Her homemade desserts looked yummy. We will be coming back to try some of everything. Happy Happy!
Y no sabe a barbacoa. No soy fan. El bao bun de cerdo es único. Absolutamente excepcional.
Passed by this spot after lunch and decided to pick up a couple of bánh mì sandwiches for dinner. The place had quite a few Vietnamese-speaking patrons inside, which was a good sign of authenticity. We ordered the classic and the sliced fish cake bánh mì. While waiting, we also grabbed two dessert drinks—those were just okay. Before dinner, we gave the sandwiches a light mist of water and popped them into a preheated oven for five minutes. The result was perfect—the bread came out crisp on the outside while staying soft inside. Both sandwiches were packed with generous portions of meat, pâté, and pickled vegetables. We really enjoyed them.
This store sells bamh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches). Consistently good sandwiches. Reasonably priced. They have a small number of sweet desserts (not cakes or pastries).
Small place, kind of run down, but if you like Vietnamese subs (Bánh Mì) they make the best ones in town. Plenty of choices, I highly recommend the “combination” one.
Hidden gem offering a range of authentic Vietnamese sandwiches and boba, tasting just as appetizing as it is, in the motherland, Vietnam. Bread is extremely crusty and prices are remarkable. Dine in is small as there are only a few tables, however, my group and I were able to find a seat while waiting for our banh mi, while we were the only ones in the house, other than consumers who were in and out picking up their call orders. Array of delicious boba tea flavors are offered. Drinks have a real texture to it as ice does not take over the cup, making it that much more rich. Simple but impressive menu for this recommended Vietnamese small business with style.
They really do good Bánh mì take away and that's about it. Flavorful, good sized sandwiches with fresh French bread but there's absolutely nothing Boston or bakery or cafe about this place so far as I can tell. I've been coming here for years. The bobobobo bo ba is okay. An afterthought really. Used to be reeeeally cheap eats here, three bahn mi's for less than ten bucks but their prices are creeping up with the neighborhood. MMMRRRRGGGGG Looks like they do a really good catering business too as there's always plenty of to go orders lined up. If dining in, well, there's only a table or two and it's often too warm to be comfortable; they're really for take away. Looks like they're expanding, though. At least, they've knocked a wall down and have gotten started on it. lol Sadly, no Sam Adams, lobsta' rolls, clam chowda', boston baked beans, or wicked good boston creme pie here. Bánh mì gets a 5. Everything else, a 3. That number four chicken always gets me!
Wow!! Banh mi is now $9 dollars. I do not understand why Banh mi in Atlanta, Houston and California is all $5 for Banh Mi dac biet.
Banh Mi here was one if the better Banh Mi in town. We bought a sticky rice cake which my son said was very tasty.
For the price you pay for a sub with crunchy crust and mostly under $5, you can't beat it. The buns are baked on site and I would ask to have the vegetable on the side and add them in when you are ready to eat.
The place gets busy on a sunday.. wasn't fond of the spring rolls there but there sandwich were on point.. it tasted like the ones i buy in Boston, my hometown. The place is small n the service is kinda slow, but I don't mind waiting. It just gets hot when there are a lot of people. You buy 5 sandwiches and get 1 free.
Pros: the bread was crispy and fantastic, the daikon/carrot pickle and cilantro were perfect! Cons: Language barrier. Limited seating. Short staffed. Asked for no jalapeño but they added jalapeño anyways (I removed them before I took my photos). Meats were overly fatty and a bit chewy.
Wish staff can be a little more welcoming but food is great. Be aware that they only accept cash and don't give back receipts. When I come in or leave, staff was not enthusiastic and seemed like they hate their job or something.
these banh mi's are "fair" for the $4 price. bread is hard compared to other Vietnamese delis in the neighborhood, and the fillings i felt weren't as balanced or fresh as they could be.
I like coming here and smelling the bread and pastries cooking. The pastries are alright, i especially like the cinnamon apple flaky pastry. I like to get a vanilla latte with it too. If you are hungry for lunch you can get a tuna salad sandwich and make sure to get it on baguette.
Banh mi here is passable if you're hungry. Otherwise, nothing special or memorable. There's better banh mi in Orlando imo
7/26/25- At the time of my visit they did have a sign posted explaining a delay in service due to staffing shortage (I did appreciate the notice, let's customers decide if they have the time to wait). We got a combination bánh mi, iced coffee, and che thai. Everything was ok (hence the 3 stars). The coffee was the best 🤩 deliciously strong.
I usually enjoy food from Banh Mi Y Nhu, but this time I was really disappointed. The nem chua I bought is spoiled or moldy. I hope they check their freshness and storage more carefully next time.
Doesn't matter what time I go, they're always "out of bahn mi" ....despite taking orders after me.
My first time here and read on yelp they had great banh mi sandwiches but unfortunately they weren't. The staff was extremely rude and they were really dirty. The bread was stale and the ingredients were really old. It's really cheap for a sandwich so that explains the high reviews. You get what you pay for. I got sick when I ate it. Never going here again.
This place has a sign $4 per Chè Đậu desert but they charged $5 when customers found out and customers wanted to return the desert and the owner wouldn’t accept it. So we asked where is the policy when they have no policy anywhere to be found that we can not return or refund. They live in america but they used policy from Asia which no policy. Plus they tried to rip off customer by charging customers extra $1 more just for a little bit more of the coconut milk added to their desert. Pretty much this place foods aren’t that great but way over price and customer service stinks. We will never go to this place “Nhu Y” in orlando agajn. Owner and their kids are well trained to be greedy and very rude to the customers. We will not go to this place again even if their foods are free at their store.
This place with bad customer service and the foods aren’t good and over prices plus they tried to rip off customers by charging the customer more. Be careful to look at your receipt when pay at this place. I don’t trust them at all. I will not go to this place again Nhu Y of Orlando. They have no policy to displace but they will make up their own policy as they go. They forgot that they are living in America. lol
I am a Vietnamese so I always want to support Vietnamese business. Boston bakery is always my favorite sub, especially the chicken one. Normally, my dad always bought subs. This morning is my first time buying and it was a very terrible experience. I orderd a ham sub and asked for the veggies on side. The cashier, an old lady, asked me impolitely, “ you buy only a sub. Why do you need veggie to be put separately?”. Secondly. I tried to make the payment with my debit card, but they denied it. They said they accept only Cash. The sub maker, the owner I guess, asked me to find an ATM to get cash or buy something on Publix across the street to get cash to pay for my sub.!!! So, no thank you, I’ll go publix and get a mojo pork sub with a full smile of sub maker. It’s very odd that a business does not accept debit card these. And I know the only reason is they want to avoid paying tax. So avoid this places if you care about Customer service, and Tax avoidance problem. I have no problem with their food, but with my experience this morning. No thanks. I do not want other customers has the same problem like mine.
Guy with long hair at the front was very rude. I came to order a sandwich and the guy just made a sandwich that I did not order. I asked if I could order the sandwich I wanted and he said “ No More Sandwich” I asked why he said why did not I told him once I order!! but he supposed to ask his customer what they wanted instead just made what he wanted and gave to his customer. I never come back there again...
Terrible experience. Poor customer service at its highest. Your better off going to Tien hung which is diagonally across the street. I called and made an order for 10 banh mi and the guy verified that I could get it around 5pm. Keep in mind, I called as soon as they opened. My boyfriend comes to pick it up and the guy tells him, that their is no sandwhiches left. My boyfriend does not speak Vietnamese and they treated him as if he was a non factor and shrugged. the least that they can do is apologize but they did not do that either. DO NOT COME HERE.
Ordered five different types. Owner verbally confirmed with me which ones I ordered and then two of them were the wrong meat even though she wrote the correct number on the paper of each bahn mi. When was especially vegetarian and she put a real pork loaf on it, which was confirmed by my Vietnamese husband. So then I ordered barbecue pork and they put a fake pork in there instead of the proper barbecue pork that I’ve had before when I visited previously. She played me on purpose and I even tipped! 5 of them were ice cold and only one was heated when I said to lightly toast all of them. Disappointing because we’ve been here four times before every time we visit Orlando and I will not be back.
Ordered two BBQ Pork sandwiches. The "pork" was 90% soft fat. Disgusting. No way nobody noticed what they were putting on these sandwiches and pretending it was BBQ Pork. Just change #8 to Pork Fat Banh Mi. Tossed both in trash.
