Beautiful venue for wedding anniversary celebration. Staff was so friendly and efficient!
Fabulous lunch would definitely recommend this place and I would return.
Food was good and bartender was very nice.
+++ I took my girlfriend to Bridie Manor for her birthday about a month ago and we had the best time. The owner was extremely friendly and even played the piano for us as we had dinner! We are originally from down state and you can’t even find that on Long Island, very classy. The food was great and we just found out about their Friday happy hour. "Friday at Bridie" is a blast, they put out free food, they have a band sometimes and the bartenders even know us by name already! It has that "Cheers" feel to it and it seems like it is the place to go where everybody knows your name. We can't wait until the weather warms up so we can eat by the river in the summer time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Each entree was great, well seasoned, and enough for another meal! Also had spinach artichoke dip - huge bowl, great flavor.
I had a great meal from a menu with a wide variety to choose from. Dinner was reasonably priced. Drinks at the bar was good fun and the staff was friendly.
Excellent food and service. Came for the all you can eat crablegs and was very impressed with the quality.
Absolutely beautiful place right on the river. Staff was great friendly funny and generous with the drinks 🍸😄 great meals too..we will be back ❤️
Food was really good. They even opened the dining room for us when there was no other diners there.
The food and service were great. Fish and seafood cooked perfectly and the best cocktail sauce ever
The place was cool from hot sun. Had nachos which were good but chilly versus salsa wasn't my fav.
Really nice people. I feel welcome whenever I am there, the food is good, the drinks are generous, and the people are very friendly.
Our sports team had our formal party there. We had a great time. Open bar with a friendly bar tender
One of Oswegos best kept secrets. If you like wings , this is the place. Cold beer too.
Pleasant, efficient server. Timely serving, excellent food. Compliments to the chef.
Had an amazing time great food thank you we will be back!!❤️
Amber is a great Bartender... Always there and very friendly... Larry's luckie to have her.
Broiled sea food platter is excellent,so was our server!
Food was excellent. Nice atmosphere. Good value for amt of food.
Delish food..slow but friendly service..nice decor
food and service was great. temperature was a bit cool with all the windows..
Good food and great service! A very warm and comfortable interior!
Only stopped in for drinks. Very friendly, comfortable. Made to feel at home
Nice place to dine. I went for a MDA fundraiser. Outstanding food, and classy.
Outstanding wings the best wings on the planet garlic and Parmesan outstanding job with the blue cheese
Went for Easter buffet all staff was friendly and food was good
Great food, service, and prices. Highly recommend.
Went to Bridie Manor for drinks and dinner. Casual atmosphere, really good meal. Reasonable prices too.
What an AMAZING place, if you haven't tried it it's a must...especially to see the water wheel inside!! Food was delicious and service was impeccable and plenty of parking lot to park your Truck and snowmobile trailer on your way back through!!
Went for a wedding and a reception. This place was beautiful and the fact that it is right on the river made it amazing. The apatizers that were served was good and the dinner was superb. My experience was great. I am looking forward to going back and dining there.
Outstanding chicken riggies, and the best open mic night in the 315. I asked for extra hot riggies, and they delivered. Bursting with flavor. The Wednesday open mic (6-9), hosted by Steve Watson, is amazing. Attracts some great talent. Steve is a superb lead guitarist with great taste, and always happy to back anyone up on lead
Whenever we come to town we always stop here. My better half grew up in Oswego. The server we had was very sweet. It's a nice place to meet friends.
Food was very good and the service was excellent.
Food was great. Staff was very friendly and prompt. The building was a restored mill, so you can experience history as you eat.
A few days ago my sister in law and I had the pleasure of dining at Bridie Manor. We were greeted as we entered by a friendly and welcoming server who seated us right away. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious!!! Our terrific server was attentive without being intrusive. The food was prepared to perfection!!! I had never eaten here before but it is definitely at the top of my list as my go to place!!!
Larry &Mariska were amazing, they made great drinks for me and the bbq wings were amazing... To be honest their house blue cheese dressing is above top notch and i suggest anyone to go in and try their amazing wings. By the way let them know Rich sent you from the next door bait shop & vice versa. 10 outta 10 in my book.
We hosted a 90th birthday party at Bridie Manor 2 weeks ago. Larry Lombardo was easy to work with making the arrangements, and Mariska was a great help throughout the party. The room overlooking the river was pretty and our appetizer menu items were delicious. Cost was reasonable too!
Can't rate the food, but the bartender was polite and attentive. Little crowded the night I went. They had different performers do a 4 piece block. The weather wasn't cooperating so they had everyone in the bar area. It was nice to see local performers get to show off their talent. Few different genres gave way to a melodious evening.
One of the best places I have ever been!!!! Very antique, and awesome atmosphere!!! Food was awesome, so was the service!!! VERY, VERY, cheap prices, food is definitely cooked to its highest quality. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to go.
My boyfriend and I came to Bridie Manor for a date and the servers and the cook were all so kind and so patient with us as it was our first time going there. They seated us right next to an open door that overlooked the river. We got to eat our very delicious food while enjoying a wonderful breeze and a beautiful view. We will definitely enjoy our future dates here!
All you can eat crabs were really good and food came out fast
Beautiful building, excellent views, ok food, great staff.
Food was good, Kelly the bartender, very welcoming
We were a little skeptical when we arrived at 6pm on a Thursday and we were the only ones there. Food was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back.
All you can eat snow crab legs on Tuesdays and Fridays, great service, fun place to have a few drinks and mingle with the locals.
good place nice food miss my server Jenna she was the best
I have been here numerous times. I have always felt this place is a 4 out of 5. That goes for food, drinks, and service
Bridie used to be the "spot" but with a lot of new restaurant's downtown, it has become a bit outdated. However the location is beyond beautiful. The waitress/bartenders are super friendly. The owner has a wealth of stories. The building is historical and right on the river. Food is bar menu with some specials. Expect a quiet atmosphere, except for Friday nights.
Great food. Beautiful restaurant. The bar can have a great happy hour as well with a nicely mixed crowd. The downside would be eating here in the wintertime though, where they have the water mill while you're eating. It is VERY pretty, BUT... it is freezing cold in there. 55-60 degrees inside this restaurant is about normal. If they could resolve this heat issue, no doubt it would be 5/5. For now though... 4/5. Eat here when it warms up in the spring!
I’ve always loved visiting this establishment. It used to be a daily stop on my way home from work. I love seeing the direction in which kitchen staff is bringing the food selection.
I love the way the whole room was set up for a wedding i attended. Everything was beautiful. The staff were very polite and made sure everyone was settled and has everything they could have needed. My only complaint was there are not a whole lot of options there for people with food allergies.
Friendly service, great view of the Oswego river when sitting in the Florida room, fried haddock was good, lasagna was delicious, served with extra sauce and garlic bread. I also recommend the chicken parmesan. Fyi the mashed potatoes are instant- and flavorless. We ordered from the "lite" menu so portions (and prices) were reasonable but not huge. We enjoyed live music coming from the main dining area. Only 4 stars for atmosphere because the restaurant's main entrance is cluttered with cleaning and maintenance type products and cardboard boxes. Bathrooms need attention for cleanliness and odor control. I spoke candidly with the manager about this, and he was very receptive. I will update this review upon my next visit as needed to see if these areas have improved. This place has so much potential due to location. I'd love to see this place thrive, not just survive...
Warm Fuzzies in this tavern/restaurant with many regular customers, all welcoming to new comers with great conversations, a gracious host and favorites coming from the kitchen keeping customers coming back for more. This establishment may offer the best Chicken Wings in town hands down! Charbroiled burgers packed with flavor, French Onion soup with authentic tastes you'd hope for, if FO is one of your favorites. Fried fish dinners, a must to try! A crunchy coating packed with flavor, keeps all juices inside, not greasy but light and tasty. Excellent bar food, nice dining options and a place many locals appreciate genuine hospitality and customer appreciation!
Very expensive to eat here 😔
I went for a meeting, only ordered French onion soup, very tasty, but real salty. Atmosphere was nice.
Chicken wings, French fries burgers are the best! Their Prime Rib steak is not good.
A tremendous opportunity missed by this restuarant. A huge crowd, for a high school reunion and the food was mediocre.
My cup and others on the table were either dirty or still had lipstick on them. We went during the crab leg special and my plate served cold. And I mean right out of the refridgerator cold. The waitress was great tho and she tried her best to maintain our happiness.
Visited a party here. Pizza and wings not too bad. Did not eat in restaurant area. The water wheel was pretty cool. Wish we could have seen more inside the mill. The property could really use a face lift. Literally letters falling off the sign.
I like the friendly atmosphere. And the drinks & food is decent.
Food was excellent but the service was lacking. Waitress was over an hour late for work so the poor guy had to seat people, take food orders, manage the bar etc. We got there at 4:30 and the dining room wasn't ready. When the waitress did show she never asked if we needed anything, how the food was, if we wanted coffee or desert etc. The gentleman deserved the tip and the waitress did not. As good as the food was we probably won't go back.
Very disappointed wasn't told limited food and being only one there and food took over an hour very disappointed.Onion soup was sludge
Meals delivered cold (nearly refrigerated cold), service was so poor that once meals were delivered we never saw a server again... not even to clear table or bring the check!
I'd only recommend drinks at the bar. My father-in-law, fiance and I had dinner here and it ALL tasted like it was either microwaved or days old. Nothing fresh. The server wasn't even a server but an uninformed hostess. Not her fault. She was put in a position she shouldn't have been in the first place. Terrible .
I rarely leave bad reviews but c’mon. Had to ask for so many things. Knife, butter, no deserts. Food was mediocre. Sorry but tried 3 times and won’t returned. Too bad. Place has so much potential
The waitress was excellent. The food was good. Not great, but good. However, it was the ending of the meal that was our issue. We ordered three dishes. The one dish had the correct price. The other two, veal and spaghetti, were incorrect. The veal was $2 over price, and the spaghetti was $5 over price. When we told our waitress, she proceeded to say that the prices were correct. We asked for a menu and proceeded to show her the correct prices. She took our receipt and we assumed she was going to fix the bill. This did not happen. Upon returning, she said she took $2 off that should correct the bill. But it did not. When we explained this wasn't correct, she said that the spaghetti was correct and we once again showed her the menu. She then said it was incorrect and left to fix it. When she returned, instead of fixing the entire bill, she had readded the $2 and then taken $5 off. At this point, we were ready to leave and so we let it go. Very poor ending to a good overall experience.
The location is beautiful, but the food was terrible. I ordered the shrimp diablo; which I have had before. It was over cooked. I also ordered french onion soup. It was delivered looking picture perfect. It was luke warm, and was terrible tasting; tasted like bath water. I also ordered a Pepsi; when it was brought to me it was a diet Pepsi. The waitress never told me until I requested another regular Pepsi. I was then informed the soda machine was out of regular Pepsi; so they substituted it with the diet without telling me. The place has such a beautiful location; sadly the food is inconsistent with quality.
Absolutely horrible! group of 14, reservations weeks in advance, seated at the wrong reserved table moved to the correct table, took 15 minutes to have drink order taken with 2 waitresses, one for each side of the table, the two sides of the table were served drinks more than 15 minutes apart. Party on the other side of the room was playing music in opposition to the house music, dining area was cold. When the food was served, again the two sides of the table were served at separate times (30 minutes apart) more than 5 orders were very wrong, 4 were cold and needed to be returned to the kitchen. When the orders were corrected only half the meal was served as the garlic mashed weren't ready yet (seriously? and those who did get mashed said they were inedible) after everyone had left the table the potatoes were finally brought out. Of the 3 Italian fiesta meals 2 needed replacements for lasagna, so they substituted 3 cheese sticks all absent of cheese. The salads were skimpy and wilted with a tiny sliver of tomato in each and of the 14 salads only two had 1 crouton each. Four salads were served with the wrong dressings. As for the quality and flavor of the meals, disgusting. The broccoli was clearly over microwaved; hard & dry, they served broiled fish cold, prime rib and new york strip cooked wrong. Will never return. The entire special occasion meal should have been written off as waste and it still cost me $200 with the deal I made with management, I am still cringing about paying for a horrible meal, lousy service and coming home to feeding all 14 people who were still hungry at an additional expense! On top of everything else some of the waitstaff had bad attitudes when nicely and calmly told there were mistakes made! The entire fiasco took over 2 hours to endure... DO NOT DINE HERE AND CERTAINLY DON'T PUT A SPECIAL EVENT IN THEIR HANDS! I originally wanted to go to Azteca and should not have second-guessed myself!
We spent our Easter Dinner at Bridie Manor. They had a great entree list for the planned buffet. I would not recommend attending a buffet event at Bridie Manor. They ran out of two of the main meat entrees and did not have plan to replace them. The tables were very close and it did not have a great atmosphere due to the cramped environment and lack of food on the buffet. Our waitress was good and did offer a discount when we let her know of our disappointment with the buffet. I was disappointed that the manager did not come out and apologize or have a plan to ensure the buffet was stocked. I would not recommend Bridie Manor to my family and friends and will not be going again.
Heres the thing, I had a great dinner at bridie about 10 yrs ago. went back about 8 yrs ago and it was really bad in all aspects. took me this long to give them another shot and lo and behold it was worse. whoever manages this place sucks! The menu is promising the dish I ordered had potential (scallops) but the food was clearly past its prime. My scallops were gray! and tasted off. We waited so long my waitress actually said she wouldnt blame us if we just left. People near us actually did. And it wasnt cheap either! You do not get what you pay for here. better off at mc donalds.
Expensive price for the dirtiest table cloth and environment I have seen in some time. Over priced and not worth it.
We all got food poisoning. Awful experience. The cook was sick so they had the bartender cook. Health departments dream! Never going back or having a birthday party there again. Avoid this place!
Many years ago, this was a fairly decent place. Not any longer. The food I've had here more recently isn't very good - tastes like they are just warming up stuff from their supplier. Same opinion from others I have spoken too. Most people I know from this area are no longer customers here.
My girlfriend worked there for a year, and told me a waitress working with her stuck her fingers in a costumers mashed potatoes before serving them to "mix them up". Other insanitary instances happened as well, disgusting. A fly was found in a bottle of wine, the wine was simply strained over a strainer and poured back in the bottle. I don't suggest eating there.
Not very good..the wings were $5.00 over the price on the menu and the mozzarella sticks were $3.00 the price on the menu... Pretty sad that you can't tell people that before they order...
The room that we were in, was disgusting, cobwebs dead bugs around the windows, my son in law had to literally turn on the lights. My son had to turn on the ceiling fans. Not sure what the noodles we had, what they were suppose to have been. Years ago I have been there and it was not like that. It was much more classier.
Food was bland and obviously frozen. Crowded to the point of not being able to move. Way too expensive for the lack of quality in the overall experience.
Waited over 30 minutes for a nacho appetizer, seafood platter fried was very bad, will not visit there again, server was great
Food was served cold and over cooked. Understaffed. Had better food from Burger king.
After we were seated we noticed there was a lawnmower next to our table and a half full can of gas. Mostly dead bugs covering all the windows and doors, not the tiny little fluffy ones. Huge dead bugs coated inside the windows, half caught in spider webs(good job spiders at least someone was working there). Ordered our food, 1 hour later some food had come still waiting on others. None of the food was good, the food that came that is. We decided we had enough. The gentleman that spoke with us said he was the owner, he was courteous and apologetic. He didn't charge us anything and apologized profusely. Of course he made up a lot of excuses. I felt bad for our server, she clearly had no control or contribution in this. Learn from our bad fortune, pick another place.
Ordered the 6 wings off the kids menu which were advertised as $6.95. Was charged $16 for them. The waitress showed me the check and said they were raising prices. $16 is for 6 wings off the kids menu is far more then the burger we also ordered off the regular menu for $8.95. Makes absolutely no sense.
Only 1 server for the entire restaurant when we had reservations for 15. Took 45 minutes for the server to take our orders. 2 hours after we got there we finally got our food. It came in shifts. 1 person in our group got his food when everyone else was finished and getting their leftovers boxed up. His meal was missing the potato. The server said it was coming, but he never got it. My Tuscan Chicken had maybe a tablespoon of sauce and all the pasta under the chicken and peppers (4 strips) was dry. Do not waste your money or time.
Bar none the single worst meal I’ve ever had in the city of Oswego. If I could give 0 stars I would. Father in law wanted prime rib for his birthday dinner and chose Bridie as the restaurant. He’d been looking forward to it for weeks. We arrived at 5:30 or so, ordered our food, waited an hour just for celery and carrots. Another 45 minutes passes, we get our wings and appetizers. Wings are undercooked. Pink in the middle. French Onion soup has too many onions, is far too heavy. 45 minutes pass again. Prime rib is cold, and well done, NY Strip is well done, both no where near medium rare. Prime rib is sent back, waitress says they cook the prime rib in advance and heat it up, so how was it cold? Chances are it wasn’t made fresh today. Also doesn’t excuse the overdone NY Strip. Garlic mash potatoes are inedible. Way to much garlic. Menu says garlic bread sticks are included with every entree, turns out that’s a lie, they don’t do that anymore. Prime rib comes back, is still cold, we get it to go because we’ve been here for 3 hours and want to go home. Waitress was nice, obviously overworked and tired. Parking lot wasn’t salted and was slippery so I nearly slipped on my way out. Worst restaurant in Oswego. Go to Canale’s or Vona’s instead. Hell, go to Burger King and you’ll be more satisfied.
If I could give no stars I absolutely would. We went for dinner a little after opening, the dining rooms was filled with flies, and dead bugs smeared on the window. Our drinks were warm, even with ice in them and flat!!! I ordered shrimp scampi and I can tell you that is not what I got. The shrimp was over cooked, the layer of sauce on top was the texture of solidifying butter. My spaghetti was dry on the outside and a over cooked mess in the middle on the bowl. I absolutely do not recommend eating here.
We went four years ago after graduation and were very pleased. So we decided to return for a post graduation dinner last night. My lettuce in my salad was bitter & brown. Very disappointed with the food overall, the Chicken Parmesan was dry. Two of us ordered the Tuscan Chicken and which was not served as described in the menu, when questioned they ran out of roasted red peppers & substituted green raw peppers (yuck) If I had known, I would have made a different entree selection. The owner/manager could not be bothered to take the time to come to our table, speak with us, or try to make up for our displeasure in our dining experience. We will never go there again and will definitely tell people of our bad experience. The only redeeming quality was the waitress was lovely and felt extremely bad for us.
I don't normally write negative reviews but I now understand why our local friends do not come here. The server was covered in spills, consistently forgot our beverages, the main course didn't come out for an hour and it wasn't cooked (haddock was still raw, chicken marsala was a slop of sodium and cold chicken) and the waitress didn't pick up on any of this. It was just very bizarre because we were really nice and patient the entire time we saw other tables getting their food while we sat around with empty drinks and nothing in front of us. We had to use a gift card so we decided to try going here.
THEY CHARGE $2.50 FOR ICE CUBES - We decided to go to Bridie Manor for dinner. We had been there many years ago. We started out having a drink at the bar. That was fine. Then we went into the dinning room to have dinner. Half of the dinning room tables were set the other half looked like they had just gotten done with a party and kind of took away the ambiance of the place. We ordered an appetizer and mine was very good. The evening went downhill from there very quickly. I ordered Fillet Mignonette and ordered it medium as per the menu (hot pink center). When it came it was raw..... We waited for the waitress to come back (about 10 minutes) and I sent it back to be cooked more (about 10 minutes more). By the time I got it back (and still raw) my husband was just about done with his meal. I did not want to send it back again. If he had waited for me his would have been cold. When the waitress came back I just asked her to give me a to-go box and I would cook it when I got home. Then we went to the bar to have an after dinner drink. I ordered a B&B on the rocks. They actually charged me $2.50 for 3 ice cubes. After a couple days I went back to ask if we were overcharged. I talked to the manager/owner I think and they charge for ice cubes if you have an after dinner drink on ice. Supposedly because they put more than a shot in. I watched him when he put the drink on ice and it was just a shot. The B&B tasted old. When I explained to him about our meal he said “So what do you want me to do about it” No apology or anything. He went back in his office and after about 5 minutes sent out 4 free drink chips. Like I would really go back there. He was just very rude. All the rest of the employees were wonderful. So, after spending close to $150.00 on crappy food and crappy drinks I learned a lesson not to EVER EVER go back again. As a foot note, I should have known because on 6pm on a Saturday there was hardly anyone there. Plus when I went back at noon a couple days later there was no one there. I give this place a -0
The worst food I've ever had. Why ask how I want my burger if it is going to be cooked well over done. Out of the party of 18 we had one server who was also the bartender. No one's food was cooked right, we had to go to the bar to get our drinks and the food is overpriced. Got a cajun burger and still wondering what was cajun about it.
Was there for my mother in laws 89th birthday on the evening of the 2nnd of October. What a mess! 15 people in our party two waitresses and NO COOK! YUP NO COOK. We found this out after the Kaos of trying to get a decent meal for each person! One in our party order chicken Riggies. It looked like soup. Another ordered checked Marsalis that tasted like wine slime. Never reduced the sauce. Yet another ordered chops that were hockey pucks and burnt. A hamburger came out charred and cold. Not all meals were delivered timely. And yet another never got served until dinner was almost over. None of the sides that came with the meals were delivered but every 15 minutes or so like there wasn't any to go around. The green beans tasted like soap and three of the dinners were sent back. Causing at least four in our party to have no dinner at all. This was a nightmare and one of the waitresses was just down right snotty. I've been here before and never had a bad meal. However this time it was unforgivable. To top off the fiasco, those of us that did get a side with our meal gock sick. Diarriah to be exact. I love to get a hold of the owner (s) and ring their necks. I will never ever return neither will the other 14 in our party. Don't go there, the bar maid thinks she's a chef! Ick. Disgusting!!!
They had no idea our party of 13 that had been scheduled for weeks was coming in this afternoon. They forgot about our party which was written in their schedule book. Menu is a big front. Chicken piggies were made with nacho cheese. Soup of the day was french onion. Which was awful leftover soup with red onions added. Au jus for the french dip was also the french onion soup. Finally the garlic chicken had chunks of garlic which were not edible. There was one server working. I'm unsure how they would have handled anyone else walking in for lunch. Close on sundays if you cant handle walk ins or scheduled parties
I attended a Celebration of Life for my brother-in-law at this establishment on August 2nd 2025. The food was inedible. My sister had family, friends and coworkers attend this event and the food was burnt and most did not even eat. I cannot believe that an establishment would think that what they served was acceptable. I’m adding a photo of the pizza and the chicken bites wrapped in bacon that was served. My sister, a grieving widow, would not say anything, she just paid the bill. Shame on you Lombardo family for taking advantage of a widow. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
Use to come here when I was younger. to be honest, nothing really bad nor good. Quality isnt the same. There was no sense of anything special about the food. I feel like it was overpriced.
30 bucks a plate for overcooked seafood, 'mashed potatoes' from flakes, and 'prime rib' that was actually a sirloin that may have possibly been boiled. Also, they burned the ham. 0/10 do not recommend.
We waited over 45 minutes for our food. The hamburger, which I requested medium, was overdone. The bun was dry, the lettuce uninspired, and the onions looked old. The server glared at me when I asked for a drinks menu. She brought cheese balls for a snack while we waited for our orders. Do not recommend!
This restaurant made us wait 45 minutes for a chicken Ceasar salad and chicken riggies and we WERE the ONLY people THERE in the dining room and the chicken came out burnt? With all that time..how do you burn chicken for a salad? This is horrible cooking and horrible service. The view of the river was beautiful and the restaurant was rustic and original and the waitress who came to our table was nice and attentive but we didn't have her untill the last 20 mins because she must have just started work so when we got there we had an older gentlemen and come to find out he's the owner! Interesting! Please take the time to fix these issues as they will cost you customers such as myself
