Never have a bad time here. The food is always great and worth the price.

This is my all time favorite restaurant in Oswego. The food is always amazing! The menu changes seasonally, which is always a nice surprise, so make sure you check their website for their updated menu if you haven't been in a while. The service is top notch, and the beer/wine selection is diversified. I haven't had a bad experience, and if you like bread, definitely give the stretch bread a try (it's always a constant on the menu).

Danny Blocher

All I can speak for are the pizza and wings, but they are great. Never had a bad meal, service is great and atmosphere is really cool. I like how they change the menu every so often but don't like when good things come off (although they are always replaced by more good options). I find myself trying things I'd never normally put in a pizza and end up loving it! Great spot to eat in Oswego.

Delicious food and attentive service! The crab cakes starter was just two pieces (for $14!), but they were really yummy. Large arugula salad was massive. I couldn’t finish it!

Excellent experience. The menu was full of innovative choices. Service was efficient & friendly; very accommodating. Every dish ordered by our party of 6 was scrumptious. The goat cheese appetizer was the BEST. I’d go here again in a heartbeat.

So walking in it feels pretty dark and homey, but honestly it's a great place. Warm atmosphere, welcoming staff, and great service. The food was awesome as well. Be sure when you visit this place, pay attention to the kitchen prep area. Its split between two businesses. Such an awesome idea.

I’ve been going to the Red Sun for years. Finally had the opportunity to go back being home for some time. I’ve always ordered the special as they base their menu seasonally. Every time I’m amazed at the quality of the food and the incredible service from the staff. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an evening out in Oswego or to anyone traveling through the area.

Steven is the best server ever! He has a really unique sense of humor. The food was amazing and very different from what i am used to but i loved it over all! Its not bad for a once in a few weeks or once of month type of deal cause of the prices.

We went on Saturday February 8, 2020 and the host was amazing. We had to wait and she frequently checked on us and apologized over and over and kept us updated on length of wait. Once seated we were served immediately, water was refilled every time it got half empty and the service was great. The food was phenomenal.

I visited twice on a recent work trip and both times the food was delicious, well prepared, timely and served with a smile. The Fillet Mignon Tournedos exceeded my expectations.

Our server STEVE was funny and personable. We will be back the next time we're in Oswego. Cheers! Great restaurant and take-out coffee shop.

My sister and I shared their sausage pesto, and mozzarella, pizza that had halved cherry tomatoes and a bit of red onion. Yuuuummmmmy!!!!!!!! Had a side salad with it and I chose the balsamic vinegar and oil dressing which was also very good. My sister had a side salad with green goddess dressing and loved it. Waitress was very nice, cheerful and attentive but not overly so. It's one of our favorite places. Wish they served lunch during the week.

Celebrated a special friend’s birthday with Red Sun last night and it was perfect! Food was amazing and the presentation was wonderful. We had a large party of 14 and our server Kim handled it like a pro and had just the perfect personality for our group. We have eaten here a handful of times and never have been disappointed! Thank you!

Trendy place in downtown Oswego. Staff was very honest & informative on high wait time for seating due influx of customers on a freak, warm winter weekend. The wood fired margarita pizzas were fabulous! Good cocktails. Wish more craft or local beer choices. Enjoyed the evening, busy but staff great & nice nice to be not rushed out.

It has been a while since my wife and I have both had a great meal, drinks, and wonderful service. Dinner was very tasty. Scallops where done right and flavorful. The risottos we both had were amazing. My wife loved her wood fired airline chicken breast. Service was great. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Hands-down the best restaurant in Oswego. Good for all types of people, vegetarians, those with kids, pizza lovers, locals and college students. The staff are so nice and the food is fine dining quality without the fine dining price.

Red Sun is a cool place. We sat outside in the sunshine, had some wings and pizza and it was all good. As a pleasant surprise, we were served bread and herb olive oil along with our drinks.Their signature cocktail, the Red Sun, is outstandingly good. Service was excellent and the food delicious.

Great experience start to finish. Ladies had two different pizzas and both very happy with the thin crust wood fired oven offerings. Thai sticky ribs were fall off the bone tender on a bed of spicy noodles. Carrot cake was tasty and generous. Service friendly and efficient. Recommend Will return

We've been twice in the last month . The food is absolutely delicious. The stretch bread is amazing! A must! I had shrimp scampi over risotto the first time and pizza this time. The strip steak with broccoli and potatoes , delicious. The duck with pear and raspberry sauce over risotto.. perfection yet again. This time we sat outside , the weather was gorgeous. The service both times great. I would give it ten stars if I could! Its our new favorite .

This is one of the best places iv been to in years. The food was absolutely delicious, every bite was packed full of amazing flavors. The service was wonderful, our server was amazing always had a full glass and we didn't have to wait long at all even though it was pretty packed for a Monday night. I definitely recommend the streached bread as a starter, so good, never had anything like . It's safe to say we will be back again

This place had amazing food, and I grabbed some to go deserts from the bakery that were absolutely delicious. If I lived in Oswego, this place would be a regular. I recommend the margarita pizza. 🍕

The staff was friendly and accommodating for our party of 4 (plus a baby); we were seated less than an hour before close. The server had a positive attitude and approached us with fun energy that kept the atmosphere fun and light. The food was delicious, hot, and served within a good amount of time. The bathrooms were clean and easy to find. The establishment, overall, was kept clean and offered a warm atmosphere.

I love this restaurant! It was my first time there so I only had my dates recommendation that the food was excellent. It was very busy, so we sat at the bar instead of a table. At first I was disappointed but it ended up being the most enjoyable experience. The bartender was so personable but so witty and fun. The food came and it was cooked to perfection and so fresh. I can't believe I ate the whole thing! And seeing them prepare all the dishes right there in the open was amazing. There were two things that stood out. The risotto, my exact words were "its like an angel peeing on my tongue!" LOL. It was divine and needs to be with more dishes as the side. And the second was dessert from the bakery that's attached to the restaurant. The cake was to die for. I was so full but managed to savour and eat almost all of the generous piece because it just tasted too good to waste. My time there was so special and you have made a lifetime customer in me. I've already told all my friends and family! Thank you for such an enjoyable meal. I will be back.

Loved it! Unfortunately it took 4 years of coming up to visit our son at school to discover this wonderful restaurant. The menu was perfect. The flavors were spectacular, service friendly and helpful. The ambiance was unique, cozy and open. I would definitely come back and encourage others to check it out.

I had the curry soup and the sausage noodle dish. I think the curry soup was really unique and I would suggest it to anyone who likes that traditional curry taste. The sausage and noodles was pretty standard nothing exceptional but it was good. I did like the warm bread and oil I always appreciate that at a restaurant. My girlfriend got the mulled wine which was really strong and full of spices I would recommend it. The server was fun and gave us good service. The seating was weird though because who are right next to the kitchen entrance and cash register and it didn't really feel like an intimate dining area. On the price your side but everything is pretty good so no complaints.

This is our favorite restaurant. Their eclectic meals are flavorful and the presentation of meals are fantastic. They change the menu often which keeps you coming back to try more great wood cooked food. They have the best wood cooked wings around!! We have never had a bad meal or service (thanks Steve!). We highly recommend this restaurant for casual dining. It’s the best around!!

Great little restaurant. It's a really nice menu the food is awesome. Perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner I highly recommend it. They have a normal menu variety as well as a woodfired grill option with lots of different pizzas.

The food here never disappoints. Most recently I had the Mediterranean Shrimp which was phenomenal. We had a group of 8 which didn't fluster waitress when we asked for separate checks. Everyone enjoyed their meals from steaks, to salmon to pizza. Their new drink menu is a pleasant addition. I highly recommend everyone try this place.

We’ve probably eaten here the most of any restaurant in Oswego and the reason is that they consistently serve the best food with excellent hospitality. Some favorites include their stretched bread and pasta, and I appreciate their seasonal menus with different drinks and food depending on the time of year. Probably the most solid recommendation for a place to eat in Oswego due to eating there so many times at different times of day.

Lovely restaurant and 11/10 experience. Specialty cocktail strawberry espresso martini was delicious and cute for Valentine’s Day! The woodfired ovens give the food a wonderful flavor. I had the wings, my favorite, they were scrumptious. Nice, crisp and not too hot. My wife hat the daily soup ,pablano corn chowder, and the watermelon goat cheese arugula salad. All was very enjoyable. Made our trip from Orlando worthwhile.

A quaint busy restaurant in downtown Oswego. Outdoor seating on the street and large amount of booths and tables inside. Friendly service with recommendations and specials. The waitress also asked if there were any allergies. Started with the fried artichokes with sunflower seed gremolata and citrus aioli. The artichokes were lightly coated and perfect size to pick up and dip. The gremolata added another crunch and deserved a spoon to get it all. I had the Atlantic Cod with roasted mushrooms and bok choy with a carrot ginger puree. The fish was slightly crispy and fell apart when cut. The carrot ginger puree added a perfect sweetness to the dish. I probably would have licked my plate if I didn't have bread to use. My husband had the special bay scallop scampi with fresh roasted tomatoes and shaved parmesan. The sauce was bright and lemony. Highly recommend this restaurant if you visit Oswego!

This was our 2nd visit to Red Sun and again we had a wonderful meal. My food did come out not completely hot, I pointed this out to my server and she apologized and quickly took my food back to the kitchen. I’m just a few minute my meal was out and nice and hot. I don’t usually send food back but if you don’t tell them there is a problem they won’t know. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his pizza. This is our go to when we are in Oswego. Great spot for dinner.

Nice place, great food, fresh & well prepared, nice bar area, great staff. Four stars for atmosphere only because we were seated in the back alcove & it needs some love. Our view of the river was thro dirty glass & window frames that need a touch up. Would go back again & recommend to fellow visitors to Oswego. The River Walk & old downtown are fun, safe & walkable. Four stars on atmosphere only because we were seated in the back alcove & it needs some love. Our view of the river was through dirty glass & windows that needed a touch up. It's a renovated historic building so that's understandable.

Recommended by the locals and it was an excellent choice! The stretched bread was the hyped item and it was phenomenal. Highly recommend the locals tip to ask for a little extra reduction on the side to add more sauce to your desires. Asian sticky ribs were also good. Whether you are going just for cocktails and the bread or a full meal you won't be disappointed! - SCT L

Such a relaxing atmosphere with amazing food and service. I had the special. It was oven roasted chicken with bacon shallots roasted brussel sprouts, sweet potato puree, and balsamic caramelized apples! my dad had the sausage ravioli and that was delicious. The cannoli cake for dessert as well! Great beers on tap too!

Top notch dining in an unassuming place. So glad to have stumbled on it and would recommend it to anyone who likes a delicious and fresh option in Oswego. The atmosphere is easy and welcoming. Its cozy and warm but with a lot of room.

Service was good as always and quick. My Soba noodle dish was just meh. Mushrooms were really tough and difficult to eat so I picked them all out which stunk because I love mushrooms. Didn't feel like the portion was enough for $17. White Sangria was also meh, tasted like white grape juice. Stretch bread was phenomenal though.

A
Alan Harris

Went with my friend and his family had a laugh when the waitress came out and my friend changed his usual order from pizza to a burger and she was surprised when he said burger overall good little diner/restaurant nice cozy corner of heaven overall 4 stars

A
Alexander Melucci

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, decent portion sizes, and everything tasted good. My only complaint would be the very long wait time for the food. But, they were pretty packed so I understand it's not completely their fault. I'd recommend calling ahead to see how busy they are first, unless you're willing to have a nearly 2 hour long meal.

K
Kashurra Uruk

Had a late dinner here (1 hour before closing) and was pleasantly surprised by the food. We shared the whipped brie and corn fritter starters, which were both delicious. The brie came with a homemade strawberry compote, crushed pistachios, and homemade brick oven stretched bread (like a pizza dough), while the fritters were accompanied by a creamy garlic aioli. I had the orrechiette pasta with squash, mint, and goat cheese, and the Mr. opted for the jambalaya. Both were cooked perfectly and had amazing flavours throughout. Portions are large and won't leave you wanting. We also had a white sangria with cucumber, mint, and strawberries, and a mock Amaretto sour, which we both preferred. Service was...meh. It felt like our server wanted to be anywhere else but there, and seemed inconvenienced by us. We decided not to linger. They also have rotating specials, adding to the variety. I'd say stop in!

J
Jj Stowell

The breads they give you there is honestly my favorite thing there! I got steak, which each bite was either phenomenal or absolutely average (there was no middle ground between the two). The white sangria there is also amazing! It took alot of self control to not drink them down! Out of everything I had, the drink and bread's they gave are the only things that would have me coming back.

B
Brett Costello

Excellent menu, execution and service at this funky spot in downtown Oswego. Every dish I've had here has been spot on. The only knock I can give it is it's weak beer and wine selection. If they upgrade that, this could easily be the best restaurant in the area.

c
charlie baldwin

There's a cool and contemporary atmosphere. The menu has some interesting choices. We loved the pizzas. The service was good and overall we were happy with the everything. Will definitely return.

L

Tried this restaurant for the first time. Food was first rate!! Surprisingly crowded for a Wednesday evening. Extremely loud so it was difficult to hear across the table, and this may have been caused by extremely high ceiling. Our waitress was good but very overworked having to run around and wait on a great many tables.

N
Nick Fina

We ordered chicken tacos, farmhouse pizza, and corn fritters. All of the food was delicious. Corn fritters were great. Each came with a different aioli and they were each a perfect addition to the plate. The only complaint we had was when we got a second round of drinks we were served repeats instead of ordering something different. Definitely recommend and would go again.

P

Great pizza with stellar dough and bread offerings with a cool Americana vibe.

K
KAREN WRIGHT

This was our second time at the restaurant I have to say the menu was recently changed, and I am not a fan! And,because they have a new menu they didn't have specials on Friday night. My son wanted to have the same steak he had ordered in the past now it was bone in which Some people prefer but it just seemed to have more waste and fat. I had the Faroe Island salmon with risotto which had good flavor except for the fact that the risotto was floating in and had a rim of a lot of oil, and I was hoping the salmon would be a healthier option but I can't imagine it was with the amount of oil on the surface.

T
Tonya Speed

Food and drinks were excellent. We got there when they opened at 4:30 and were one of the first tables to be seated. Server came quickly and took our drink and app order. Drinks were delivered in a fair amount of time and our app not long after that. This is where they lose the 5th star, after a very long wait, our server asked if we would like another round. We said yes and it came relatively quick. It was now 5:30 and we had still not received our food. The kitchen seemed to be focusing on their to go orders ahead of any main courses being served to dine in customers. When we finally got our food after more than an hour, it was delicious.

A

We got seated right away. Waiter was great. Food was okay. Burger came out small and overcooked. Bun was overly toasted. Wish the rigatoni had more/bigger pieces of sausage, seemed like a $22 bowl of pasta and sauce.

I had the Scampi here. It was good, but they left the tails on the shrimp and there was Arugula on top. It looked great!

H
Holly Maynard

I had the wood fire chicken with risotto. The chicken was extremely small but was hot and had good flavor, not dried out. The risotto was cold. Hubs had shrimp provencal over risotto, 5 - 6 shrimps with grape tomatoes was good, risotto was cold. Service was excellent, nice atmosphere. Bread was great with dipping oil.

Nice place for lunch in a cute town! Went here with my teenage sons. Only 1 waitress for the place, so service was a tiny bit slow, but she was pleasant and accommodating. I had the spinach and date salad, which was delicious and very filling. Huge portion! My son had a pepperoni pizza, which was really nice. He, too, had a big portion. My other son had checked wonton off of the appetizer menu. All was delicious!

J

I had the pork chop 😋 it was pretty good. Little dry around the edges but the center was tender. It came with half of a cabbage. The meal was quite a big serving. The appetizers were tasty too..

Party of 4 for dinner. We tried their specials, ribeye, chicken pasta and pizza. All good except for the pizza. I ordered small margarita pizza. First 2 slices tasted delicious but 3rd one all I could taste was salt. Not sure if it was the cheese or someone dumped salt. Service was fantastic!

Always a treat, one of my regular stops. Not a huge menu but forever changing and fabulous nightly specials! Atmosphere is inviting and comfortable with a edgy twist. All apps and items on their menu well worth trying. Specializing in wood fired Pizza, but they offer up a whole lot more!

I dined here tonight with a group of people as an end of semester celebration. I had ordered the Thai lettuce wraps as an appetizer and didn’t realize what was in the peanut sauce. I went to go ask the bartender if she knew what was in the sauce in case it had some thing I was allergic to. She proceeded to go, ask the female chef that was working at night and had a negative attitude regarding my inquiry of ingredients. When I told them I was upset over how the bar tender and chef handled my question and concern about allergies. The sauce did, in fact, contain some aspect of coconut, and I was unable to eat the appetizer. I don’t know if I will dine here again, however our waiter (I did not get is name) was ever so kind and made the group of us feel very comfortable. My entrée of the sirloin steak was just all right, the saving grace of tonight was the fresh bread and the brussels sprouts.

F
Felipe Castillo

The place looks nice. I'll probably come back given the limited options in the area. We order some arancini as a starter, it was delicious and the best item of our whole meal. The pesto was delicious, the gorgonzola was great, and the leek didn't come through but great overall, 4.5/5 for this dish. For the main, I order the Pork Osso Bucco, and my partner had the Pumpkin Gnocchi. The pork was nice and tender, but didn't absorb much of the flavors it was braised on so it was a little bland. The polenta was delicious. The broccoli was good but was not drained before serving, so there were pools of water forming around it that didn't look good and diluted the polenta, it also didn't have any seasoning. The walnut gremolata didn't add anything to the dish. The jus was great, probably the best part of this dish. I just wish the pork itself could have picked up some of the jus flavors. The gnocchi was good but didn't have any cheese, which would have made it better since they use cream on their sauce. The worst part was the maple syrup, we will not be ordering this dish ever again. It was way too sweet, overpowering everything and making it a daunting task just to finish the dish. Why make a dessert out of your main dish? I would prefer no syrup at all, any small amount is probably too much for the delicate flavors that the dish has, maple overpowers it. We also got some cocktails but they were also below average, and very sweet, so we'll probably just stick to wine or water. As a meat-eater, I have some other dishes to try here and hopefully they'll be better, but for vegetarians, there aren't many options. There's a vegetarian mole on the menu but we're afraid they might have used sugar in the dish when mole is strictly a savory dish. After the maple syrup experience, we're just cautious.

While the food is pretty good, I wasn’t impressed with the service. It took over an hour to get our 2 entrees and it was not warm. It took another half hour to get someone’s attention for the check. It was also difficult to make a reservation on the phone. I was put on hold for so long, I ended up walking to the restaurant and making a reservation in person.

My sisters and I went on a Friday night. We made a reservation, but you so didn't need one as there were only 2 or 3 other tables occupied when we arrived at 5:30. We weren't asked if we wanted outdoor seating, we were sat inside and eventually moved when we inquired after 10 minutes of waiting for someone to even come over to ask if we needed anything. Twice while I was outside I had to come into the restaurant to get my own drink as the waiter wasn't anywhere to be found. When I went in the first time all the staff was in a big circle chatting. Annoying to witness. The food though? Fantastic! I had the Spring Carbonara and other sisters had the Asian Chopped Salad and Scampi w/ Lobster. The bread before hand was really good as well. Also, if you are looking for beer choices, this is not the place. If it weren't for our waiter, I would have given this 5 stars. Perhaps it was an off night for him?

I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere is nice and service is excellent. Drinks, cocktails, beer, it’s all good. The calamari was 5 stars and was excellent. Now the fall on their face part ... If you are going to use a term like 'blackened' on your dishes, specifically a special, then you probably want to understand the culinary definition and importance of that term. Serving a dry gray steak with no sear and no flavor does not constitute 'blackened'. When you use that term the steak better be seared, seasoned and maintain it's juices. I ordered a blackened strip steak and received a tough, dry, gray, unseasoned cut of meat that was only edible because of the steak sauce. I didn't say anything, wasn't going to, shouldn't have to. That was a total failure. Blackened? No. A Dollar General grade cut of meat that was overcooked in an oven, yes. I really wanted to like this place. I really wanted to say I found a 5 star place to rival some of my other CNY favorites, but I can't say this ... not after that experience.

On 2/17/24, my wife and I went out for a date night, which we rarely get to do. We chose this restaurant. When we arrived there weren't any tables so we sat at the bar. We ordered 2 drinks and one appetizer. The 2 drinks and the appetizer were made perfectly, but we should have stopped right there. We ended up ordering 2 more drinks, but these drinks were not made well. They were 90% lime juice. I ordered their double cheeseburger. I asked for it to be cooked medium, but it was cooked well-done, the bun was burnt, and there was zero house sauce on it. This was fine with me because at the end of the day, it's still just a burger. My wife ordered the carbonara, which was too salty. She went to take ot home but found a long hair stuck to her plate. When we brought it up to staff, they simply said "ok" and took the plate away. By this time, we both started to have intense heartburn from the drinks we ordered and just wanted to leave. I understand that it's hard to make everything perfect, especially on a busy night, but when a restaurant has a menu as expensive as this, you expect better food and service than what we received. After all this, we still ended up paying $100.98 after tip. At the end of the day, my wife and I now know not to choose this restaurant again the next time we are able to go out.

The food was not bad per se, but I sincerely doubt I would return. One item the deserves a few words was the Bruschetta. It was good but resembled nothing I have ever known as Bruschetta. If I were to label it it I would call it a salad. The Grilled bread was a giant crouton with salad on top. I'm including a picture so that others can interpret for themselves .

Easily the worst food I've ever had in my entire life. I got the lamb kabobs and they were near inedible. Tough, leathery, and flavorless, I was physically unable to swallow either of the two pieces I tried. The rest of the meal was equally unappetizing.

I have eaten here in the past, but since the pandemic the quality has just plummeted. Burned food one two of the three meals we ordered (and the waitress noticed it because she turned the burned side of the pizza away from us), small portions, bland. I actually spit out a piece of chicken I tried on the pizza (all of the chicken was also on one slice) because it was so dry and flavorless. Terrible food, terrible service. Very disappointed.

Have been there a couple of times, first visit was ok, second time, my friend ordered a salad, it was drowning in dressing, she requested the salad be placed in a new bowl to get rid of some dressing, got salad back and all he did was add more lettuce. Went there today, walked in, the man came from the back and very rudely told us they weren’t open for a half hour. I will not be going back

We love this place we go there once a year before the spring something about the old architecture in there makes it warm , but yesterday honestly the 3 stars are for the hostess because she was very warm and nice , our waitress was just okay she didn’t care , talking like a machine no feelings ….. any way the food part …. My partner ordered the duck while I got the chicken my dish was decently burned and bland , but was eatable since I was hungry …. But poor him his duck dish was covered in sou sauce it was so salty it was really discussing the salad was okay but the chicken the dough stuffed chicken is decently Costco food ,…. Am very disappointed we drove from Syracuse and we were looking forward to it but I wouldn’t suggest going there at all Update on this review the owner wanted me to take this down for a 50 doller gift card. I wanted my money back because I will never go back to this place again nor will recommend this to anyone My opinion will never be bought lady !!!! Don’t go there please

Don’t try to get the red sun to go. I attempted to order it hours ahead of time and they refused to take my order. I said to them it was a shame bc they were going to miss out on business and she told me they weren’t and were not worried about making money. They make enough with the people who actually come to the restaurant. I found the interaction very rude. This lady told me she was a manager as well. I hadn’t even asked for a manager. Makes me never want to go back and I have been there many times. I have never had an issues. I couldn’t believe this poor customer service. I wish I recorded it, for the owner to listen to.

I typically love all of Lori's restaurants, I am good to visit one of the 3 at least every week. The last two times I have went to lunch at red sun in oswego it has been terrible. The Food from Chef Brian as always is amazing! He was off this Saturday when I went and it clearly showed. The wait staff has gotten worse over the years but never bad. Until just this last two visits the server Alex is awful, and when I say awful, he never even offered us drinks on either occasion. as a manager I know drinks are some of the highest profit margin items in your restaurant how do you not even offer your diners drinks? Just pour them some water and ask what they want to eat? Obvisouly being a regular diner here I saw the dinner menus had been updated online and asked for a second with the menu. when he returned, I ordered the steak and potato bowl that I have had a half dozen times before. Alex informed my wife and I the kitchen staff was "too busy" to mash the potatoes today and would be substituted for roasted red potatoes... Seeing only three other tables with customers and seeing the kitchen staff and Alex standing around chit chatting, I knew it was not a over busy issue it was a staff issue, and just opted to go someplace else for lunch. If the staff is too busy to make what's on the menu. Perhaps the menu should be revamped or the staff should be revamped. My next visit if Chef Brian isn't in the kitchen and Alex is at the host booth I wont even bother coming inside.

We’re from out of town visiting our nephew at Oswego for family weekend & his birthday. We read the positive reviews & we were looking forward to celebrating his birthday here. The water girl was very friendly & attentive. She was the only positive aspect of the entire dinner. FOOD: - Two of the drinks we ordered were wrong. We ordered two sangrias & there was no fruit in them. We mentioned this to the waiter & instead of bringing the correct drinks, he brought over a tiny bowl with a small amount of fruit for the two drinks. We should have known at this point. - I never received my soft drink. - Ordered wings as an appetizer, they came burnt & only received 5 small wings instead of 6. - The bacon on one of the burgers ordered was burnt. - The French fries that came with the two orders were cold & tasted exactly like McDonalds fries. - All the food was brought out & everyone was almost done eating while my sister & I were still waiting on our tiny Margherita pizza. The waiter then came over & said it was done wrong & a new pie had to be cooked & it would take less than 5 minutes, yet we waited almost another 15 minutes. - Finally got the Margherita pie & it is nothing like a true Margherita. Absolutely zero tomato sauce, the cheese tasted very strange & had a strange texture, the crust was very salty. It tasted worse than a grocery store frozen pizza & was $16. - We originally planned on having desert & possibly sing happy birthday but it was such an awful experience & the food was terrible so we decided not to even attempt it. SERVICE: The waiter seemed rushed the entire time although there was just a few people dining. He tried to be friendly & make jokes, but it all seemed very forced & awkward. He never once asked how the food was, if he did we likely would have mentioned all of this. COST: It was over $100 & of course we left a tip. We left so disappointed that this is how my nephews birthday dinner went. I really do not like to leave negative reviews, but cannot comprehend how this place has nearly 5 stars and want to share our experience with others who read reviews so can then decide if they want to eat here.

I’ve been here in the past and never had any issues. I went the other day and ordered the chicken gnocchi, which I get often. The gnocchi was ok, but the chicken was extremely hard to eat because of how dry and flavorless it was. The presentation was also shocking; I’ve never had it served like this, and the portion size was smaller than I’ve ever received before. I had higher expectations based on my previous visits, so to be completely honest, I was in utter shock. Paying $25 for dry, skimpy chicken and overcooked gnocchi was extremely disappointing. I wish I went to bistro or even got a frozen dinner over this.

Well, it wasn’t the food. It was the bartender on Monday, August 25. The young lady took my order and the food sat in the window for 20 minutes. I ordered the stuff sold. The lady Chef looked at the ticket and then finally 15 minutes later, she said to the bartender who only had three people sitting at the bar. Remind her the order was up, so I ate cold, stuffed crab yes the menu has so many good food items on it. Unfortunately, I’m here for the next month for work and when I find a place I go every night and I skipped it. I’ll try if I walk by and see her not working, and hopefully things will be improved. Very disgusting to be paying very expensive prices forhorrible service.
