It is good and easy better than any Mexican restaurant (but I'm not Mexican) so maybe I am biased. I highly recommend it to all people including people of non Latino origin. They are friendly and welcoming and speak excellent English or Spanish. We will definitely be back
Delicious food, best fried yuccas I've had, friendly and quick service, can get really busy during dinner, lots of indoor seating plus a patio. I would eat here regularly, highly recommended
They have the best aji de gallina ever. I find myself comparing other places to this one, but they never do.
Our server Katelyn was outstanding. It was only her second day. When we arrived, we had wanted to sit outside and there were several available tables but they were all dirty. Staff said that someone would be out to take care of it but no one came. Katelyn arrived and made our experience a very positive one. The food is outstanding. One of our friends had ceviche and loved it. I am a fan of the arepas and empanadas and plantains.
The food (of which there were many choices) was delicious. It was authentic Peruvian and Colombian cuisine. Our meal started with a free serving of soup. The service was very good and attentive. Pricing is reasonable.
Amazing meal, and fantastic service! Manuel took great care of us, and had perfect recommendations! We had the empanadas, lomo saltaldo, and seco norteno. The seco norteno was so tender and delicious! So good!! Would definitely return.
I’ve tried over 100 Peruvian restaurants across my travels worldwide, and I can honestly say this place is top-tier. We ordered the Lomo Saltado, and it was incredible. A huge plus: they offer an extra spicy sauce in addition to the classic green sauce that is a total game-changer. We arrived at 10:00 AM, so the chicken and soup weren't ready yet, but that just gives me a great reason to go back. If you’re looking for authentic flavor, this is a 10/10. Everyone needs to try this spot!
How can food be this good? My friend took me here on the last day of my trip... WOW, I cannot believe how amazing and authentic this food was. I was very sad I could not have tried this more than once but all I can say is please keep cooking the same way because this was probably the food highlight of my trip!
Really friendly staff. This feels like a family restaurant with homemade food. Everything tasted like it was made from scratch. My husband got the biftec a lo pobre and I got the rotisserie chicken with rice and plantains. The plantains were crispy and the chicken was very moist. Both meals were delicious as was the chicken and cilantro soup. If I lived here I would definitely come again.
I can’t believe this was my first time here. There was nothing about this experience that was ordinary. The music when entering the restaurant immediately made me think, “I’m gonna enjoy this” The service was top shelf. And the food outstanding!!! I literally was wondering what else I could try the next time I come, as I was eating my meal! lol Wonderful time with my beautiful wife and daughter. I’m looking forward to coming back soon. Shout out to all the staff by the way!!!
Amazing team here! Delicious authentic dishes. Staff is what makes this place special. They are warm, and knowledgeable. Attentive but respectful. Had a lovely experience! Complimentary chicken soup - delicious. We all got Saltado variants (shrimp, seafood, beef/lomo), all were delicious. It is a signature dish stir fried with onions and French fries and rice plus your protein of choice. Awesome!! Tasty and spicy sauces. Love it! Small one way parking lot in front shared with a couple other businesses. But usually not an issue. Outdoor seating and indoor. Cool open kitchen. The calamari and the rotisserie chicken are also great!
We decided to try something new while on our weekend getaway and I highly recommend this place. Not only do you get to experience two different cultures, you get to enjoy tasty food with exceptional service. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. All of the employees were extremely attentive. Service was quick and friendly. You can definitely tell that this is a business that highly values both their customers and their food. Our waiter was Michael and he is awesome! He is very knowledgeable and knows the menu from front to back and can give you great recommendations, so that you get the most out of your experience. He was polite, friendly and very attentive. We will definitely be back on our next visit.
If you are looking for something different or are a foodie at heart you don't want to pass up Mi Cultura. They serve peruvian and coloumbian dishes that will leave you waiting to return. Tasty Tasty Tasty. They are now serving breakfast as of this review but from what I understand it is only temporary and only Fri-Sun. This is worth a visit. I have been at least 10 times and the food is consistently on point. Check out our rental cabin, link is in profile.
I visited Mi Cultura Peruvian/Colombian Cuisine and overall had a good experience with a few standout dishes. The banana fritas were delicious — perfectly sweet, crispy, and flavorful. I also really enjoyed their sample platter, especially the pork belly and the steak. Both were tender, seasoned well, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The meal started with a soup appetizer that was surprisingly delicious — warm, comforting, and full of flavor. I did order the 1/4 chicken, and personally it wasn’t my favorite. It just didn’t stand out compared to their other dishes, which had much better flavor and texture. Overall, Mi Cultura has some amazing items and the flavors in certain dishes really shine. I’d definitely come back for the banana fritas, the pork belly, and the steak — those were worth it.
This is a very nice and clean restaurant. Food is freshly made. However, you have to wait an extremely long time (in our case over 40 minutes) for the first plate to arrive at our table and for the food to be served to you. Most disturbing are the dishes do not come out together. Everyone at your table eats at different times. I did not like their fried rice it was very greasy and not prepared the way I asked. Their white rice had a very bad taste to it and was very bland. I did like the tofu. I was very disappointed in my meal and disappointed that my friends ate their dinner way before my dish arrived. I hope they make some improvements to their food and the way they serve their patrons.
Sure felt like I was in a bar and restaurant in Peru with the atmosphere and music. The Lomo Saltado was delicious with strips of sirloin, French fries, tomatoes in a soya sauce mixture over rice. I could taste the fire prepared smoky taste of a hot stove. The empanadas are great too, with meat filled ones in a doughy shell. And the starter soup is so good. I could drink that forever. Definitely will eat here again!
The food here is undeniably delicious, but the experience was diminished by outdated online pricing and smaller portions relative to the high cost. We had the sweet plantains, a side of rice, the boiled yellow potatoes in a mild and creamy sauce, the cheese and scallion empanadas, and an order of shrimp fried rice. Everything was very tasty and came with an array of vibrant and scrumptious sauces. Even the plain white rice had excellent flavor. The disappointment wasn't with the quality, but the quantity. As someone with a relatively small appetite, I was surprised that two of us finished over $80 worth of food in one sitting, despite having specifically ordered extra empanadas for the purpose of leftovers. For these prices, the portions simply don't feel justified. I checked out the menu on their website and called in our takeout order. After picking up, I was very disappointed that the online menu is severely outdated. I placed an order for 6 of the cheese and scallion empanadas expecting it to be $17, and that item is now $28. That is a 65% increase that isn't just a small inflation adjustment, but a major price discrepancy that feels misleading. The website should be up to date with menu items and pricing. If the website is not going to be updated each time the prices change, then the prices should be removed all together and just the menu items available for viewing. The menu itself is a bit difficult to navigate for those unfamiliar with Peruvian cuisine or who don't speak Spanish; adding brief descriptions beyond simply listing the key ingredients would go a long way for new customers. I've at least had a few dining experiences with Peruvian restaurants in the past, but still had to muddle my way through ordering, and ended up ordering for my husband who was thoroughly dumbfounded. I am glad we opted for takeout. I could hear the music coming from the restaurant as we pulled into the parking lot. After hearing the loud music it then made sense why the person taking my order over the phone was having such difficulty hearing/understanding me. It wasn't loud to the point that you can't hear each other speak, but it was loud enough that I felt like I had to actively raise my voice or repeat myself to ensure I was heard. While the flavors were a positive experience for introducing my husband to a new style of cuisine, the lack of price transparency and the high cost-to-portion ratio mean we likely will not be returning.
The food is genuinely outstanding, which is exactly why this experience was so disappointing. We placed an order for two whole chickens plus several sides for a family dinner with guests. When my husband arrived at the promised pickup time (after being told 25 minutes), he was informed the food wasn't ready and would take another 25 minutes. When it finally came out, they told him they didn't have enough chickens cooked and could only give us one. It's frustrating to plan around a specific time, have people waiting at home hungry, and then end up short on the main item. The quality is clearly there and this place has the potential to be an amazing business, they just need much stronger order management, better communication about delays, and more reliable inventory/prep planning. They didn’t offer a replacement or any kind of remedy for the issue which was odd.
I used to love this place. We’ve been regulars since they opened however, after several attempts to convince myself it’s worth it…. I admit, it’s not. Prices has gone up significantly, quality and quantity (protein in dishes) has gone down significantly as well. $6 for empanadas and $20+ for a lomo saltado dish with barely any lomo is a scam. Sorry Mi Cultura, you’ll be a memory for us from now on. Good luck.
