Peaks Restaurant – Palm Springs Aerial Tramway Mountain Station Peaks is a true mountaintop dining experience. The setting alone is worth the visit — the views are absolutely breathtaking, and once you’re seated, it’s easy to understand why it was voted one of the best cliffside restaurants in North America. I didn’t even realize that was a category, but this place earns it. The drinks are steep — very expensive — but you have to remember everything is transported up the tram, which adds perspective to the pricing. The food is also on the higher end, though the quality and the unique location justify it. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. If you’re taking the tram to the top, Peaks is a memorable way to complete the experience.
It's amazing they have a restaurant at 10k feet. The menu is limited, of course but everything was good and the prices reasonable. Especially for a tourist destination.
The food was fine (we had burgers) The drinks were pretty good (perfect marg and whiskey apple pie). Burgers were cooked well but lacked something… Drinks were great and Frank the bartender was awesome. He really made us feel valued and taken care of. People like Frank are the heart and soul of a business and while I’ll come back during our next hike. If Frank speaks on something the management should listen.
Amazing time all around. I don't understand these negative reviews! The service was awesome. All of our food arrived hot and fresh, drinks were replenished quickly and the food!!! Meatloaf was out of this world! Mom's meatloaf tasted nothing like this. Mushroom ravioli was to die for!. Great time and a memorable event!
Absolutely an amazing restaurant. We did not have a reservation but we were first in line for walk-ins and we're immediately seated at the bar. The service was so attentive and they recommended each one of us a dish and we all loved it! Unfortunately, I do not remember the drink I had but it was wonderful! I highly recommend it! I'm sure if you show them a photo they will know! We got- Bacon blue cheese burger 10/10 No photo here but we did get a Caesar salad with shrimp! 10/10 Grilled chicken sandwich 10/10
Better than I expected. Food was pretty good, although the guy next to us was complaining about something food-related. The seating was clean, service was very efficient, and there was plenty of staff. It was a nice evening. Dessert was fresh and well-presented, a little pricey. I spent 240 out the door for three, but we had drinks and dinner.
We went last year for my mom's birthday and it became my mom's favorite place to celebrate her birthday so without a doubt, it is becoming a yearly tradition for us. The food is delicious and the portions are just right. Everything was cooked just right and the presentation was perfect. Service was to notch. We were ready to order and it server was nowhere to be found, but another server and the manager made sure we were attended right away. The food didn't take long to arrive and we were not forgotten by the staff as they took the time to check on us a few times without making us feel overcrowd nor neglected. As for the atmosphere. You need to come see for yourself. I know my review is straight forward and without much embellishment, but there is very little that I can say that would do justice to the restaurant. So next time you're in Palm Springs, make sure to ride the Palm Spring Aerial Tramway to the top, and indulge yourself with delicious food, great service, and breathtaking atmosphere.
When in PS, you should definitely take the trip up the mountain on the cable car. About 30 degrees cooler and spectacular view. While up there we dined at the Peaks Restaurant. Small menu, but had a good selection for everyone. There are other options, but I wanted to sit down and eat. The staff was friendly and service was good. There were 5 of us and we got seated quickly. I had the burger and was very good. Others at the table had salads and macaroni and their dishes were also good. Is it a destination Restaurant? Perhaps, but if you are up there you might as well enjoy the food, company and cocktails.
Great idea to have a little bar and lounge at the peak! Cocktail of choice: Mezcatini - with the hibiscus 🌺 flavor 🤌🏼 it was very rich in flavor and a great choice. If you like hibiscus flavor - i highly recommend this drink!!! The spinach dip was okay.. too thick rather than creamy. The bartender was a little standoffish at first.. then he was great. He had to warm up to us 🤷🏻♀️ needy tourists i guess It’s worth the hangout and pictures at the top! I’d do it again 😍
Peaks Restaurant is nothing short of spectacular! From the moment you step off the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and walk into the dining room, you're greeted with jaw-dropping panoramic views that are truly one-of-a-kind. The atmosphere is elegant yet inviting, making it perfect for a romantic dinner, a special celebration, or simply soaking in the mountain serenity. The food is equally impressive—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The seasonal dishes highlight local ingredients with creative flair, and every bite feels thoughtfully prepared. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, adding to the warm, upscale experience. Dining at 8,500 feet while watching the sun set over the desert below? Absolutely magical. Peaks isn’t just a meal—it’s a memory. Highly recommended!
I feel in love with this beautiful restaurant up in the clouds. The views (even on a rainy/snowy day) were breathtaking and I loved that the seating capitalized on the view. Our drinks were lovely and our main entrees tasty. The appetizer was fine if a bit boring and our chocolate cake was a bit same note. But our service was impeccable and I loved interacting with all the staff because they were so friendly! Definitely some where I would love to go again.

Food and service was very good! Portion size was large and easy to share. prices were not out of line for a restaurant on top of a mountain. Views were killer! Will definitely come back again!!
The Peaks restaurant, situated 8,516 feet high in Palm Springs, California, offers a truly unique dining experience. The establishment boasts beautiful views, and the most enjoyable aspect is accessing it via the Ariel Tramway, a notably cool tourist destination. The staff is well-trained, and the manager was particularly helpful. Although the food was just okay and somewhat pricey, the experience is well worth it.
Good food, nice curated menu, but understaffed which lead to poor service in terms of excessive wait times to be seated (despite having a reservation), delays in ordering food, drink refills, and to pay the bill at the end of the meal. Not to take anything away from the staff who were there hustling, there just weren't enough of them to go around.
Service was a bit slow to start. Had to wait quite a bit to get water & have a server introduced. But once we did, our server was accommodating. He recommended the date burger and WOW… so good! Definitely a must try! All in all, definitely recommend. Every seat has a beautiful view and nice spot to take it in after a long hike.
Food was okay. New England Clam Chowder was pretty good. Didn't quite like the Whiskey Apple Pie cocktail. The whipped cream separated and you had to keep stirring. It sure sounded good, though. The Charred Shrimp got cold quickly. We probably didn't eat if fast enough, since we were busy eating the soup and salad which were the best part of the meal. The rib eye was a little on the tough side, but had good flavor. The view would have been amazing if it wasn't for the Christmas decorations reflecting on the windows. But we went outside in the freezing cold for a few seconds to enjoy the beautiful view.
Well this is a kinda mixed review, my burger was awful. I asked for a medium burger and it was extremely well done. It was expensive and really didn't have any taste to it. My girlfriend on the other hand lived her ravioli, she loved her soup as well. The reason I'm giving it such a high rating is they took the burger off the check. The waiter was cool, the fries were delicious and as always the view was amazing

While up there, we dined at the Peaks Restaurant. The menu was small but had a decent selection for everyone. There are other options in the area, but I wanted to sit down and enjoy a meal. Views: Absolutely amazing, as always. Food: Unfortunately, the food and the restaurant itself fell short in terms of presentation, taste, and seasoning. My burger, for example, was awful. I ordered it medium, but it came out extremely well done. It was expensive and lacked flavor. Service: The waiter was friendly and cool, which helped make the experience a bit better. Overall, it’s a mixed experience: the view is unbeatable, but the food didn’t live up to expectations.
We had reservations and were seated in a prime location, upper level in the front corner, giving us panoramic vistas. The service was excellent, and the amenities were very good. The coffee was good. Thats pretty much where the “fine dining” experience ended. We were greatly underwhelmed with the food. We had the spinach dip appetizer. It came in a baking dish, so I assumed it was meant to be a warm, melty dish, but it was not. It was also not distinctly flavorful. Overall: meh. We each had the hanger steak, medium, with their version of fries. The steak was considerably under-cooked and cold. I’m fine with medium-rare and even rare upon occasion. This was less than that. On a steak that arrives sliced, it’s hard to be that far off of requested doneness unless you’re not paying attention or just don’t care. And I’m certain butter wouldn’t soften on top of the steak. The fries were crispy outside and still slightly frozen inside. The desserts were not bad. I had the tiramisu and it was ok. My companion had the flourless chocolate cake. This typically arrives hot with a melty inside. This was neither warm nor melty. It was obvious this was a frozen item that was heated for the customer as it arrived cool and the inside was still slightly frozen. The whole time I was thinking that, well, we are at altitude and things cook and taste differently up here. But, I really shouldn’t have to make these kinds of excuses for them, should I?
As a couple that recently moved into the area, we had high expectations of this establishment, both in terms of dining and scenery. To tame any expectations than anyone else might have who’s reading this, please go into this, enjoying the company more than the food. The views are amazing, and I can’t wait to come back, but the food and the restaurant itself are both lacking in terms of presentation, taste, and seasoning. However, and I’ll emphasize, remember who you’re sharing a meal with is more important than the meal itself. If you’ve made it this far and are still reading this, I wish you a safe travels, and great company.
