The service was amazing. Our servers were friendly and fun. The food was fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend Ricks to anyone staying in Palm Springs.
Always the best of everything ❤️ great food, great service , fun atmosphere. Thank you from these Canadians 🖐
There for breakfast twice. Huge diverse menu. The staff genually seem to love their jobs. Will be back, more on menu I want to try!
Great brunch location. The food is full of flavor with generous portions. There is plenty of parking space and the wait time was less than 10 minutes. I ordered the steak and eggs breakfast with a side of fresh fruit and two Bloody Mary’s… because why not. The food had lots of flavor, the meat wasn’t dry and the Bloody Mary’s were not watered down. Great food, great ambiance, and friendly customers. Definitely a must if you are visiting Palm Springs. About $120 for three full meals and 6 Bloody Mary’s.
Just such a solid, friendly, great place. Great breakfast. We'll be coming back to try the key lime pie!
This breakfast restaurant is 1 block away from The Palm Springs Hotel that I was staying at. It's a cute diner with very nice and friendly staff. I ordered the "D" on the first page on the menu- egg white + asparagus scramble, grilled chicken breast and fruit. I wish more breakfast restaurants would serve a higher protein meal for breakfast. Loved it and will come back again!
Rick's is a great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The food is great, the staff super friendly and a cozy atmosphere. Parking is limited and getting into the parking lot a bit tricky, but worth the effort. If I palm springs this is a great diner to add to your stop, and the prices are very reasonable .
Rick's Cuban Grill. This time, I tried the Cuban Tostones, fried plantains filled with 3 different meats, with beans and rice. Then, I had to have a piece of key lime pie. Everything was very good. I started off with a cup of chicken vegetable soup, it was tasty. Jasmine was a great server, very friendly and efficient.
Great menu, cozy atmosphere, friendly and efficient service. Best mojitos in Palm Springs.
I make it a point to visit this restaurant when I come to resorts in Palm Springs. The service is good and the food delicious. I usually get the chicken fried steak and eggs with an iced tea. Today I also ordered the cinnamon roll. The roll was gigantic and was large enough for two people. I recommend this restaurant.
From the atmosphere, food and service you get at Rick's is absolutely tremendous. When you walk into Rick's the first thing that comes to mind is the coziness and style of the restaurant itself. With the whole staff greeting you with open arms is a wonderful experience. The staff is great, serving you with all your needs, always checking on you to see if you need refills or anything else. The menu is a decent variety of delicious choices of what you can order is absolutely amazing. The food itself is top notch quality. The prices are what you would come to expect at a fine establishment. I will definitely be back to enjoy the whole dining experience again and again. It's worth the time and travel. Thank you Rick's Restaurant for the hospitality!!!
This is my second visit here. Love the food, great patio outside. I've only had breakfasts, but I'm looking forward to trying a lunch option.
Not busy when we joined friends for dinner. Offers petite menu with limited items. Menu has a Latin slant.
Been going here since I was a kid. Rick’s restaurant is an amazing restaurant, the service is incredible and the food is great. I can’t name one thing that is bad on their menu but I sure can name whole lot of goodie : the delicious Cesar salad, the classic rice and beans, the fresh plantins, the incredible fried chicken with waffles, the world famous pancakes, the best apple pie and cinnamon rolls. The service remains the same kind, helpful, sweet and polite. The only thing that gets old is me going to the restaurant every year. Thank you Rick’s and all the staff for the wonderful food.
They have American and Cuban food. We went there around 9 pm for a late dinner. We split a meal - there was plenty of food for both of us. We finished our meal with their grandmother's flan recipe--the flan was the best I have ever had!!! Our server was friendly and excellent! I good place for family dining.
This place is awesome. Not sure why I have never been here but maybe it is because the location is farther up Palm Canyon than I generally travel when I am here. The service was great. The staff is attentive. Their teamwork was on point between front and back of the house. I sat at the counter and it was just cool to watch. The food was excellent. They really have it dialed in here. This will definitely be my new breakfast spot in the area. Well done! Keep it up.
Thank you so much. We placed a to go order. Everything was perfect. All items included. Very delicious. Thank you. Very great deal.
Came here on a Sunday morning for breakfast and the place was packed! (which is a great sign for a breakfast spot). Despite how busy they were, we were seated right away. Food took a while to come, but I attribute that to the sheer number of people they were trying to serve. The when the food arrived, it was well worth the wait. The portions are huge and the prices are more than reasonable. Quality comfort food. I ordered the Country Fried Steak and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will make this my go to breakfast spot next time I'm in town.
What a delightful find! Was searching Google for a dinner place and gave Rick's Desert Grill a try and glad we did! I had the Cuban Lechon Asado and it was so good! My wife had the Havana Chicken, another great choice! The old fashioned I ordered was also very well done! I highly recommend Rick's Desert Grill!
I make reviews and compare the brunch experiences from Westcoast to Eastcoast! This is always one of my favorite places to have brunches with friends in Palm Springs. Of course, there are great ones in town, too! So far the best bacon… if it isnt the way they frying it, then they must have the best supplier of bacon. Solid 5 stars! Try it yourselves and let us know. I would recommend this place.
As lots of people already mentioned this place is a hidden gem, reminds me a good old fashioned moms and pops type of restaurant where you can enjoy the atmosphere and the quality food. My only wish they make better coffee, not that old fashioned cheap drip coffee from a coffee maker:)
So we've been coming to the main diner for dinner here for 5 years when we're in town. The food feels like home-cooking with a cuban twist. Always have a great meal. The service from the staff is exceptional. The interior decor is uniquely palm springs of old and the music play list is totally on-point. The one suggestion is the exterior branding needs updating. You're on a prime street corner and the exterior look is just not eye-catching or appealing in any way..... time for a refresh as everyone has to drive past your resturant coming into town.... the exterior is not a sales point. Many I have spoken to have shared my view.
Great restaurant with counter seating. The service was swift, friendly and left us feeling great. Coffee was poured and tea served within a minute of sitting down. The coffee was that smooth diner coffee that is perfect for a few cups. Tea was with two bags and plenty of water. We went for the corned beef hash and the cinnamon roll (made in-house) french toast. Both were incredible, but for their own reasons. If you want to mark a special occasion or just treat yourself, don't sleep on their cinnamon roll french toast. Their corned beef hash with home fries easily ranks in my top 3 of the valley.
The best service ever. The hotel I was staying in was adjacent to the restaurant. I worried the restaurant would not be good, but the reviews told me to expect something special. We ate two breakfast there. I loved the juevos rancheros. My kids loved the French toast, waffle with fresh fruit and pancakes. My husband had an omelet one day and the table next to ours ordered "what he's having..." The next day, he had the chicken and waffles. We all shared the cinnamon roll.
Once we discovered this restaurant that appeared to be a local restaurant it became our go to restaurant. We were welcome every time with a friendly staff, we were seated quickly and someone came to our table tight away to get our drinks before our waitress came to take our order. Our food came out fast with large portions and was amazing. Coffee tasted perfect. The Host always made sure to thank us on our way out. What a great start to our days.
Love this place, my go to breakfast place since 2007 when I moved to Palm Springs until I moved away in 2020. Good to see nothing has changed( which is a great thing) except prices (justifiably so). Genaro and crew continue to be awesome and provide a fast friendly and efficient service. Make sure your coffee is always full and your food is served piping hot.
Great service, great food, great restaurant! We love to stop at Rick’s Restaurant any time we are in Palm Springs. It is a classic diner vibe and I love it! They served us right away and our food came out super quick. I got a club sandwich and my boyfriend got the California omelet. I highly recommend both!
Slightly, on the out dated side-depending on your perspective of what’s old and what’s new -Rick’s restaurant reminds me a little on a the old school type of diner. It’s clean, small, short ceilings, windows at each booth, comfy zand not so modern technology looking. I felt welcomed and warmth as I walked into the lobby. We were immediately greeted by the hostess and were seated at a booth (with a window), as I requested. Our server, Claudia, had greeted us. Gave us time to look at the menu. I just had to get off the mind set that we weren’t at Denny with the 55+ senior meal deals. As I skimmed through the menu, I noticed a variety of prices and food selection. A good thing. Just could not figure out if it was breakfast or lunch that I craved for. And so it was, the “Petite” breakfast. To add, a Bloody Mary for starters. My partner and I both order the same dish. There was nothing to highlight about our breakfast plate, it was basic. However, it good and perfect enough for what we wanted to eat that morning. Everything was consumed but the Bloody Mary. Let’s put that on pause for now. I would like to mention that the wheat bread I had was soft, plump and delicious. Not sure why, but it was just bread. Bread is bread. Ok, now for the Bloody Mary. It looked good but after adding several spikes to the drink, the spice was unbearable. What my partner failed to do was taste the drink prior to added Tabasco. Amateur move, I say. She added ice and took the drink to go hoping that the ice would dilute the hot and spicy taste. The drink was gone, meaning disposed in the trash. No bueno anymore. Too bad because I know it was definitely a cocktail she looked forward to drinking. Our server was told but we didn’t expect a replacement Our server, Claudia, was above and beyond. She was friendly, helpful, personable, checked in with us multiple times and was always smiles. I felt good energy and positivity from her. Good vibes all around, including staff that were on shift that morning. Give Rick’s restaurant a try. You won’t regret 👍🏼
5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ been coming to Ricks for years!! They tend to be busy because they’re only open for breakfast and lunch but it also was a special day because it’s Father’s Day today. My dad picked this place so my brother and I enjoyed a great breakfast meal with our dad. We all got something different and it’s definitely appealing to the eye. It definitely tasted yummy. If you’re ever in the Palm Springs area, definitely check out Ricks it’s super inviting and they’ve been around for years. Also, the restrooms are very clean and maintained well. And parking 🅿️ is relatively decent size parking lot. I can’t forget about the staff. They all have great personality and they are running around being on top of the food 🥘 orders. Like 👍🏻 my review it will help me out, 😁and if you’d like to start following me to see all my other reviews.
The service was quick, efficient, friendly. Drink refills were refilled all most immediately. The menu was extensive & unique. Don't miss the avocado toast!
The service was fast and food was good. The ambience is reminiscent of a diner. I ordered the honey fried chicken and the plate was pretty massive. It came with FOUR pieces of chicken. The cocktails are also pretty good. Definitely bring your appetite with you, I was not prepared lol. Overall I enjoyed it and will be back!
Another popular place to dine at for the locals. Got in quickly and staff was friendly. Nice location and the restaurant had a big menu. You can get breakfast, lunch or dinner. I ordered the French Dip sandwich. I have not had one in a long time. I was not disappointed. The bread and roast beef was done right... at least to my liking. The au jus was not too salty and had a very good flavor. I tried some other dishes and was equally good. Will I go back? Definitely. Need to try other dishes.
Rick's in Palm Springs is a delightful diner with a twist! Combining classic diner vibes with a dash of Cuban flair, this spot offers a mix of dishes that keep things interesting. We visited for dinner and had a fantastic meal—the tostones were an absolute standout. The flavors were bold, fresh, and authentically satisfying. The atmosphere is inviting, featuring cafeteria-style seating that adds to its casual charm. It's also beautifully decorated with vintage photos that transport you back in time, adding a nostalgic touch to the experience. Although we only came for dinner, Rick's looks like a promising spot for breakfast as well. The setup and menu suggest it could be a great way to start the day. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty Cuban dish or a classic diner staple, Rick's offers something for everyone. Highly recommended for a tasty and laid-back meal!
We stopped in here for breakfast on New Year's Day during our visit to PalmSprings. The restaurant was a short walk from our hotel. They have a warm family atmosphere and we decided to give them a try. They were very busy but we got seated quickly after arriving. We had Frech Toast and the Ham and Cheese omelet and Coffee. Both of our meals were delicious and full of flavor and cooked to order. The staff was very nice and attentive. Overall, we had a great dinning experience.
Wonderful, classic American diner with a huge selection of foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were there for breakfast and everything we had was great and the wait staff were friendly and welcoming. We got two eggs over easy, hash browns were nice and crispy, and the chicken sausage were well worth the small upcharge. We definitely will be back so we can sample some of their wonderful cakes and pies.
Ricks was great. Atmosphere and look of a diner, but food was excellent and service was very good. Espresso martini had Cuban espresso.. one of the best Espresso Martinis my wife has ever had. I had the Havana Chicken (pictured) , it was grilled to perfection. The French Dip sandwich was also delicious, tender and not too salty. Service was very good. Attentive and pleasant waitress. Definitely a place to go again.
What can I say about Rick’s, other than it was a gem of a place that served up an amazing brunch menu. Nestled in downtown Palm Springs, it’s easy to miss this spot. There was no wait for me as I chose my seat at the counter since I was dining alone. I had took a peek at the menu before coming here, courtesy of another Google Reviewer, so I had a decent idea of what I wanted. After seeing the menu in person, it made it harder to make a selection. I ended up choosing an omelet served with chili, cheese & onions over the top, along side a nice sized order of hash browns. Instead of the toast that would usually come on the side, I chose to get a side of pancakes (2) since I was pretty hungry & I’m not big on toast. My service was amazing, the coffee was fresh & was poured continuously by the wait staff, all of them taking equal turns filling in as a team. My food came out pretty fast considering they were busy during the time I was there. The omelette with the chili & cheese on top was a sure hit for me, the pancakes as well being fluffy & fresh! Rick’s has no doubt earned its incredible rating here on Google, which is the reason I chose to visit. If I’m Palm Springs in the future, I will be stopping by Rick’s again for brunch! Thanks for reading.

Love this place! The food, the service and the fun of the ambiance of an old school diner!
Food is always great. Our waiter was so nice and joked with us some. The place is kept clean and it is one of our "regular" places to visit.

Super speedy service for as busy as they are, wow! The coffee is deliciously delicious and the cinnamon roll was glorious. It was flaky and buttery! Delicious yeasty dough that was perfectly baked. Server great. Food very good. Hostess used to be polite with a smile. Last time before todays I was ignored by server - very unusual. I had to get up and leave because not enough time to eat. I am slow eater. I mentioned it to the hostess at front desk - i usually i tell her how good their servers are. She was all of a sudden it felt like she did not like me and she did not care if i came back. I had told her that i would still come. No response. We were treated by hostess coldly today. She did her job - but not the sweet person she is to almost everyone. We got up to leave and was going to tell her how good Hector was. She was at the desk and she saw us leaving and She turned around and quickly walked away. I had asked my friend to give good report to her at how well we were treated by Hector. We have been coming for 5 1/2 yrs since i moved here - and always when vacationing here. I understand the front hostess is important there and has been there for years. Maybe family. I know she would not care if I never came again. I don’t like people who let me know they don’t like me. I never talked to her anything but polite. She will be happy probably that i never come back. I have friends that go there too. I will pass it on.
Surprised me with Cuban (in a good way).. I started out with the dinner salad. I liked the ranch dressing on these fresh greens, olives, tomatoes and crunchy croutons. I ordered the CUBAN LECHON ASADO. The slow roasted Pork With Grilled Onions was so tender and flavorful. The Caribbean rice and black beans were just ok; they needed a little seasoning of something. The sweet plantains were the highlight of the meal; so delicious, i. Wanted a whole dinner of just those. The yucca fries were a tasty surprise, both crunchy and soft inside. The service was excellent, supper attentive and friendly! The ambiance is ok, like a generic restaurant, but still nice and clean.
Great Breakfast, Many Choices, Great Service!! Such a Family Restaurant, Many Regulars , Come Here! Everyone is So Friendly & Always Making Sure You Need Anything! Your Cup of Coffee ☕️ is Always Filled! Love Marie (waitress) & Jose Busperson!
Went to the the Palm Springs Tram to go up to Mount San Jacinto and stay all day and when I went down to explore Palm Springs food establishments and I came across Rick's and found it was featured on triple D. It was a retro throwback restaurant that had pictures of Bob Hope, Jane Russell and others. I ordered the meatloaf because it reminded me of a blue plate special. The meatloaf was a 50/50, beef and pork with red and green peppers. Was really good and topped with brown gravy. The mashed potatoes was needing some butter or a teaspoon of sour cream to set in some richness but they were OK. The steamed vegetables was really good, they had an earthy, crisp and fresh. Try Rick's out and see what you think, I did and enjoyed it.
Great dinner food at reasonable prices. The wait staff had been with Rick's for many years. They are wonderful!
So the parking lot is small and while I was there my vehicle was hit by a young girl who was nice enough to wait for me to get back to my truck. But the chicken fried steak OMG 😳 THE SAUCE IS AMAZING . For two orders of it and two drinks it was pricey.$75.00
Pretty good breakfast in Palm Springs. Service was excellent and attentive. Coffee was good. Got the Denver Omelette, that was good but to add cheese was $3.29. The cheese was just some sprinkled on top, not in the omelette, not really worth the up charge. Pancakes were just ok, kinda spongy. Overall pretty good, I’d go back for sure.
Some of the food is outstanding. Other is ok. I didn't care that much for their fried chicken. I like mine crispy. This was not quite soggy, but I'm guessing it sat out for a while. The chocolate cake is fantastic. Our language is void of words that can adequately describe it.
Friendly staff, efficient service, serving delicious meals - all a comfortable, community-feeling setting
We enjoyed breakfast/ brunch here today primarily because of the service and drinks . Janice our server was so lovely and friendly and efficient (as were the other servers,) Excellent margaritas and bloody Maria . My eggs Benedict was just fine , nothing special for $18.95 . My husband's steak and eggs were average he said , with the thin steak not able to be cooked medium rare . Nice experience but not amazing.. Situated in a car park so sitting outside not greatest atmosphere .

Waited over an hour after being sat for breakfast. Would have been better if they didn’t seat so many people if they were this backed up.
The food was mediocre, nothing special. The eggs benedict were okay although the hollandaise sauce was pretty good. The pancakes were nice and crispy on the outside but part of it was raw inside and fully cooked part was flour tasting and somewhat bland. The omelette was decent. The service was great but with so many options in town the food doesn't leave the urge to want to return.
Two people, we order 2 cups (literally the size) a side salad, a half sandwich and one diet coke. $40 without tip . This is the smallest portion meal in Riverside county for the largest price. Ridiculous pricing. I liked the old Rick's better when you got the same thing but endless soup bowl. Oh. And it does not even come with a pickle anymore. If you don't want to put food on a plate, why are you in this business?
If you want a quick, basic, no frills breakfast, then this is the spot. Everything, from the service to the food was fine - not bad, but nothing worth writing home about.

I ordered an All-American meal. A classic. Fried Chicken. 28$ for the most dissatisfying and disappointing plate of chicken I’ve ever eaten. Fried? Yeah like 3 months ago, then placed in a freezer, waiting to be revived in a microwave. Fries were good. Service was unwelcoming. Felt more like we going to be asked to leave, instead of what we would like to eat. Dinner was a bust. Cinnamon rolls looked amazing.
Very disappointed in the roast beef sandwich at Rick's. For $27.24 for the sandwich and potato salad. I would have expected much more meat. This is a $12 sandwich at best, at Jersey Mikes. Take a look at what you get at Katz in NYC for $30!
