The best Chinese food in the valley by far. Every dish we’ve gotten has exceeded our expectations and the flavor is always there. It’s our go to Chinese restaurant.
Thank you for an Amazing birthday dinner tonite. Everything was so Fresh and beautifully prepared. - while i DO miss in house dining, the food Still made this a special occaision. we were able to see the menu online & call in our order with the help of the lady on the phone & when my husband arrived everything was ready to go!! we are SO happy your restaurant is still up & running.. thank you rj
First time here & I loved it. Their service is amazing. Their food has the best flavor. I been to other Chinese restaurants & by far this is the best.. This is gonna be my new location now. I highly recommend it. 💖💖
First time eating at Wangs!!! Really enjoyed the lunch specials.Singapore noodles was really tasty and walnut shrimp was yummy!!! Will definitely go back!!!
Wang's Chinese food does not disappoint. The price point is perfect & portion size generous. Also, the staff was courteous & the food was all delicious! We will be back!
Just had their chicken in garlic sauce. Super fresh ingredients and delicious. Perfect amount of heat. Great portion. Great price. Definitely someplace we will continue to order from.
Delicious food at a great price! This is a wonderful little spot with authentic good cooking. We found wonderful vegan items on the menu and really enjoyed our meal.
The food here was the best. It has so much flavor. The chef must have been working hard. The design and service was great. And overall the place is very clean. The floors and tables were clean and the restroom as well.
My Go-To place for good Chinese food! Ordered food from there several times... Never actually ate there so I thought I'd give it a try. Not a very big seating area and it was quickly obvious that we arrived just before the peak of their busy time (and snagged one of the last tables). We weren't in a hurry so it was all good for us but it was obvious the staff was feeling the pressure.... The food was good as always and it arrived on serving plates and bowls instead of plastic and styrofoam containers 😁😁😁😁. Of course I will return, for both take out and occasionally for dining in.
Good food and surprising service. We ordered recently through GrubHub and received the wrong order. A call to the store quickly resolved the problem. We soon received the correct order with a surprise mango and sticky rice dessert gratis.
I was in the area for work (out of AZ) and felt like some good Chinese. This place did not disappoint. Super friendly staff and very attentive. I ordered the sechzwan chicken lunch special. Oh, how I have missed a good sechzwan chicken. Came with wonton chips, choice of egg drop ot hot n sour soup (got the hot n sour), and spring roll. Amazing, all of it was amazing. I only wish it wasn't 300 miles from home.
I came in today for the first time ,we were a group of about 17 people and I would definitely recommend the staff was very friendly and very efficient ,to taking our order to our refills very on top of things .They offer so many options and the food was delicious . I definitely recommend😊😊😊
Wangs is a great little Chinese restaurant. The portions are large, delicious, and affordable. I had Orange Beef with Fried Rice on the side. The beef is served with some onions, sliced carrots and green peppers all of which are cooked perfectly: hot but still crispy and flavourful. The beef can be served mild or spicy. I asked for a little bit spicy and it was perfect. Crispy and delicious with the sticky sauce adding flavor. My wife had the Honey Chicken, which I stole about half of because it was yummy and because I am a bit of a pig. My daughter wasn't with us on this trip, but she loves Wangs' Paper Wrapped Chicken. All in all, Highly Recommended. Updated 04/15/2023 - still all true. As for the atmosphere... It's a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. There are tables, seats, a floor that isn't sticky and restrooms that are clean and well supplied. If you need somewhere with "atmosphere", find somewhere with worse food and higher prices.
Real Chinese cuisine the way I was accustomed to growing up in Chicago. I guess you would describe it as classic Cantonese. Great flavors seasoned incredibly. Wow- the chef knows his business! High quality ingredients. Very accommodating will customize to your individual needs. Everyone working there is helpful and upbeat in spite of the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. I hope everyone reading this will try and support this great small business.
update from a review from several years ago. been there several times over the last 6 or 8 months in the food. definitely has gone down in quality. longer weights lukewarm food. something drastic changed and it's so sad because this was a favorite place of mine
Not bad. The staff are very kind and sweet. We had a female waiter and she was very kind. Everything was amazing. We ordered the fried shrimp and spring rolls which came out exceptionally fast and amazing. We also got fried wonton noodle (for free!) and we ordered wonton soups which came very fast and they w the best delicious. We also got sweet and sour soup which was astounding. So all in all, I highly recommend this place.
We I always order delivery and it always comes fast and it’s hot. Great barrel always delicious.
A real Jewel hidden in a strip mall. This establishment takes Pride in making you feel at home and in the quality, presentation, and taste of their cuisine. You won't be disappointed, wonderful menus for lunch or dinner
By far the best Chinese food in Coachella Valley. Service is very fast and courteous, food is hot and bountiful and never oily or greasy. Yes, the place is not particularly beautiful or modern but the food makes up for any lack of beauty.
When we moved to Palm Springs we were told there's no good neighborhood Chinese restaurant in the valley. Well, we found it on Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City. We ate in on our first visit just to check it out and were pleased. The atmosphere is clean and decorated like a good neighborhood restaurant is expected to be. The employees and/or owners, I'm not sure which, are so welcoming and kind. The food is what we missed. It's delicious, prepared perfectly, and plenty of it. Tonight, we ordered take-out and were delighted with really good Chinese food and great service. We've told all our friends about our find.
We have been coming to this gem of a restaurant for years, every time we visit from Scotland. The food is the best in the desert and the service from Jenny is just the best. We thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Chinese cuisine. Lovely family and fantastic restaurant. Love from your Scottish friends 🏴
The valley is fortunate to have this true Chinese gem. The food is amazingly good. Fresh ingredients, balanced herbs-spices and sauces, cooked to perfection create dishes that are beyond delicious. Addictive is the best word to describe Wang's. The staff are friendly. You are treated and catered to as if you are family. My husband and I eat at Wang's at least twice a week.
I didn't add the atmosphere one because I didn't really take it in since I was only picking up a to-go order. The food was delicious and even though I didn't call ahead, it didn't take too long to get it!
One of the best chines food I try here in the valley. Love it
Staff are wonderful. Very kind, respectful. Really. Really nice staff. Food is very good. It's my go to Chinese restaurant.
My mother and uncle went here when traveling back from their cruise for lunch. They said it was amazing and my mom especially enjoyed the orange chicken. It was a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. They even brought me back some all the way in Arizona, and I loved the lo mein with the orange chicken and the spring rolls. The beef was also really good. Definitely recommend to anyone who is passing by to check out this awesome authentic restaurant.
I love this place! Me and my boyfriend always go here because we live right near by. The lady that always answers the phone is super sweet and nice. They always take the orders correctly, reads them back. It's always super fast too!! The food is always served hot and amazing! Their portions are generous, they have the right amount of meat and veggies. The fried rices are sooo good!! Dinners are a good option if youre solo or group dining, they come with appetizers! Pricing is great too, they have adjusted some with inflation, but they're always a great deal. Sitting down and having a meal might take a big longer but they are friendly people, they are super busy with take out orders! Thank you for amazing Chinese food in the desert and friendly atmosphere.
I was so anxious to find a real Chinese food in California ( my experience in Los Angeles and Hollywood was not the best ) moving from NEW YORK to PALM SPRINGS I’m used to New York style Chinese food !! I was so surprised to find this cute little restaurant with an amazing server and delicious food and noodle chips . The prices are great and again the attention was 100% . I’ll be back for more . Loved their fried rice 😁😁😁😁😁 and the egg drop soup was heaven
The Popo platter was our appetizer and holy talito batman, it was incredibly DELICIOUS... as was our personal main dishes, I just didn't take any pictures. I was genuinely surprised ... seemed like "a hole in the wall " but very clean, great service and I will recommend this place to ANY AND EVERYONE!
From Florida where good Chinese is hard to find. This place was blocks from the house. Went during lunch and the food was really good. Potstickers, shrimp, hot sour soup, mixed Kung Pow and Sweet and Sour soup Chicken with fried rice, egg roll and bbq pork and a couple of Tsing-Tao’s. Large portions which we took home. Hot and tasty. Will go back again. It is American style Chinese so if you’re looking for some kind of authentic taste or style, keep looking. This is what we know as good Chinese growing up on the west coast.
Made my trip to the desert worth it. So good, so satisfied my craving for non chain Chinese food. Fabulous Mom and Pop place. Personal service, huge menu for a small space. I hope they have a huge community following.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Wang’s Chinese Cuisine in Cathedral City! The food was flavorful and authentic — we ordered a variety of dishes including fried rice, beef chow fun, shrimp with Bok Choi, and a delicious chef’s special fish with black bean sauce. Everything was fresh and satisfying. What really made the experience special was the friendly and accommodating waiter, who made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Since we ended up ordering a bit too much food, they kindly offered us free steamed rice to-go, which was such a thoughtful touch! Highly recommend this place for anyone craving solid Chinese food with warm, attentive service. We’ll definitely be back!
I came here because it’s next to my work and I wanted to try it out. I got the lo mein with noodles and it was very good! The food was brought out very quickly. It felt like it took less than 10 minutes for everything to come out, if that. The server helped me navigate the menu since I had never been there before which I really appreciated. I got all of this for less than $14 which I feel is a really good deal considering the amount of food. Next time I go here I plan to bring the rest of my family 😅
Clean restaurant, friendly service, lunch special has very good value and portion.
Service and food here was excellent! Everything arrived quickly and was flavorful. We split the Cream Cheese Wontons, Won Ton Soup, and Shrimp Fried Rice. Everything was just over $35 which isn't bad for two people.
Family owned, reliably good food at a great price! I love this little spot . It’s intimate, the service is fast and friendly and the portions good 😊 . I had the Mongolian Beef and Steamed dumplings and left happy and satisfied!
Stopped in for lunch. Decent Chinese food and service. It's hard to find a nice Chinese restaurant in the Coachella Valley. I'll be back when I'm in the area.
You know what they say about “hole in the wall” restaurants right? That they’re gems waiting to be found? Well it’s 100% true about this little gem of a place. We ordered Dinner A for two, (general Tso’s chicken and BBQ PORK egg foo young). The included soup was delicious (egg drop soup), the shrimp and the spring roll was perfectly fried without dripping with oil. They brought some chips and red sauce that was again very well done. The meal portions were HUGE, and I can down food if you know what I mean. Wife wanted to try the crab Rangoon’s and she loved those as well. First time here and we will be back for sure. Definitely a nice surprise of a find for us.

Great place to get as close to authentic Chinese as you can in these parts! Friendly folks and quick service. Love to eat at Wang's!
We moved from LA and wondered if there was good Chinese food in the area and were so happy with our meal from Wang's. It was fresh, delicious, and excellently prepared. And around the corner!
Love this place!! Honestly, aside from being the nicest people ever.... Their food is great, and their service is also great. I recommend it.
It appeared that half of the Coachella Valley ordered from Wang's on Christmas Day. Understandably the wait was long and the staff a bit stressed. Despite this, the quality and taste of the food was FIRST RATE. Wang's Chinese food rivals what we used to have in NY.

I’m a native New Yorker who has eaten my share of take-out Chinese. It’s hard to find good Chinese in the Palm Springs area. This is by far the best. Taste is exactly how it should be. Staff is friendly.
Great food at a great price. But be prepared to wait up to an hour for your food to arrive if it's busy and/or snowbird season. Best to ask them when you arrive how long orders are taking.
Lovely dinner here this evening. It's as close as we've had to authentic Chinese food in Cathedral City or Palm Springs in the past five months that we've been here. Had hot and sour soup, the daily special crispy yellow croaker fish in a not-too-sweet sweet and sour sauce, garlic fried green beans, stir-fried spinach and steamed rice. All the dishes were good and served quickly, although the place was slightly busy. I had an upset stomach a few hours afterwards, but my husband was fine. Stomach upset could have been caused by contaminated ice in a margarita I had a couple of hours later at another establishment, so I won't blame the restaurant. I've eaten here several times before without a problem.
Our new favourite Chinese food place. Arrived 4:30 pm on Saturday, ordered three dishes for the two of us, it came fast and hot and was delish. “Diner” decor, nothing fancy but clean and pleasant. We ordered combination fried rice, combination lo mein, sizzling trio. Definitely recommend it.
Lunch is a good deal. Out of the local Chinese food options this is about as good as it gets unfortunately
Been having trouble finding yummy vegan food in PS and was happy to find it here! I had broccoli in garlic sauce and vegetable lo mein and it was truly really good Chinese food :) friendly staff and great strip mall vibe. Will return!
Small but comfortable Chinese restaurant with a hundred menu items. Everything we had was very good and flavorful. Update: Do NOT expect fast service on a Saturday night. I waited an hour for a takeout order and saw the same people at tables before and after. Understaffed, so please be patient.
Excellent cuisine for Chinese food. Love the egg-foo-young (however you spell it, it's delicious). Great new decor. A bit hard to find in the midst of the Mexican businesses all around it. However, worth the effort to seek it out. Enjoy.
The sad truth is we don’t have a lot of Chinese food options in the desert. That being said, I’ve been to Wang’s twice and both times we have had an extremely pleasant experience. You are always greeted with a cheerful staff who promptly serve you some super tasty noodles with sweet dippy sauce & spicy horseradish mustard if you’re into it. I pretty much always order a lo mein and a spicy beef from any Chinese place & while I will admit it isn’t the most remarkable or unforgettable Chinese food—it is really really good. Totally hits the spot. It’s a small little restaurant, simple but not without charm. 2/2 times were good enough that we can now call this a go-to spot for us. Looking forward to next time :)
With its reasonable prices and cozy, low-budget decor, this little restaurant isn't too bad. While there's nothing particularly impressive or unique about the food when contrasted with other Chinese restaurants, there wasn't anything I tried that was bad, either. There doesn't appear to be a lot of dine-in business, at least not on Sunday in the early evening when I was here. However, in the time it took me to eat my dinner, they did at least a dozen to go orders, possibly a few more. In short, if you're looking for reasonably priced, competently cooked Chinese food that stays well within the expected range of a standard "American style" Chinese restaurant, this place will fit the bill. I'm giving it a four star rating because I think it deserves more than three. If I had the choice to do so, I would rate it three and a half stars. Update: due to the extreme level of consistency from the chef here, I've decided that this place is more like a 4.5. All of the times I've come here, I've never had a situation where the food wasn't prepared well. That level of dedication and quality deserves a higher rating. This place has slowly turned into a favorite place of mine to eat, and has remained that way for a couple of years now.
Always good food and fair price for portions. Closed on Monday
Came to get some Chinese food for Thanksgiving to go. Found them on Google Maps. We are from out of town staying here for a few months. Their food was great. Tasted Authentic. Staff were friendly. It was empty since it was Thanksgiving. We’ll be back for sure to try other dishes.
My husband and I go to Wangs chinese cuisine. We go to this restaurant once or twice a week. We also bring all visitors here at least once. The food is very good and the service is great. I encourage everyone not to pass this little gem.
Good food prepared quickly. We usually get take-out. Even a sizable order is ready in about 15 minutes.
Google is dishonest and is suppressing all of my negative reviews. Consistently good Chinese food at a reasonable price 4 Stars. Great lunch special that includes soup, rice and noodles if you want, plus the entree. Can't beat that. I haven't gone to any other Chinese places in the Valley yet, so I can't really compare. But I come from Northern CA which is known for great Asian cuisine and this place rarely disappoints. Only once was I not completely happy with a dish, that was the last time I was there. The wonton soup which is usually just fine, the wontons were undercooked and a bit tough, but its only happened once. Hence the missing star. I'll have to mention it to them next time. Otherwise just everything else has been just great. Been there roughly ten times, so one minor let down out of ten ain't bad.
Came here with some friends who live in the area. Food was delicious. We had the BBQ pork Fried rice, the combination noodles and the tangerine crispy chicken along with the egg drop soup. Everything came out timely and was tasty. Will be back next time I'm visiting in town again!
During peak business hours it's difficult to get a parking spot near the restaurant.
Good Chinese food... Great Service

Super solid Chinese food in the desert! Excellent moo goo gai pan, egg drop soup, veggie delight. All the veggies are super fresh. I’m excited to try more on the menu.

Still trying to find decent Chinese food in the Coachella Valley. Not sure it exists. This place is clean enough. Service was prompt but not very friendly. Tea was hot and there was a nice little fried wonton appetizer treat. I had the orange chicken with fried rice (not really) and an egg roll. The chicken was chicken breast, which is always better than what is usually used (thigh meat) but there were exactly 2 pieces of green pepper, 1 piece of carrot, and the rest of the vegetables were onions. Seriously? The fried rice was, I don't know what, it looked like a bunch of brown rice that had something dumped on top of it. It definitely was Not fried rice. My husband had the sweet and sour pork which he said was ok but same vegi issues. His came with 1 butterflied shrimp. No soup comes with these meals. The meal portions looked like something you would get for lunch - not something for dinner. As compared to a few other places we've tried, there was some flavor to the dishes but not much. Still looking.............
Ordered food online, waited near 2hrs. No food is worth that wait
Ordered through Doordash as I'm seeking a good Asian restaurant here in the valley. Unfortunately, Wangs was a miss. I ordered three different entrees with different levels of spice and umami. All three included cucumber some how in their vegetable mix. Worse general tsos I've ever had, ruined by bland flavor and again, cucumber?!?! The cashew chicken was absolutely overpowered by the same green demon. Rice was good, potstickers are good, soup was good. Really needs some work on the entrees to change this score.
The food was great, the restaurant was ok and clean ... The utensils (tea cups and silverware) I thought were dirty. Kinda was put off by that. But the food was excellent I thought and served hot! (I'd go back, just wish they would pay attention to how clean their cups, plates, utensils etc)
Food was pretty good. Not the freshest I've tasted but good I had the chicken egg food young and it was made differently than I've had before more like all egg and not the usual filler that normally is put into the recipie such as bamboo shoots, scallin and celery to give it texture. I'll return and try a different menu item such as the salt and pepper shrimp. However, it looked to me they may be frozen and not fresh either. Waitstaff was very helpful and attentive.
My first and only visit. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Shrimp, which was fair. The disappointment was the cup of Won Ton soup that came with the lunch. It was barely warm, the broth was oily, and the won tons were tough and tasteless. Just meh.
The position size for lunch is small even with soup. The pork I ordered was dry. I was still hungry when leaving.
Chop Suey restaurant in the desert. Having eaten authentic Chinese food my entire life, I have to say the flavours are average and catered to American tastes, but it doesn't mean Wang's offerings don't fill your stomach at a very reasonable price. I ordered the almond chicken and my brother ordered the chicken Chow Mein with crispy noodles and the sauces on both tasted the same, but it was still a great value considering the well-portioned dishes were part of a dinner set that included a soup (the hot and sour soup was quite bland), crispy wonton chips, a side of rice and fortune cookie.

Not so good. Actually it was awful. Panda Express is better tasting. I don't care that much for Panda but compared to the food I just eat, it is a 10. The shrimp was smelly. The chow mien had no taste. The orange chicken was ok. The wontons were small and overcooked. The beef low mien was only dish we kinda of liked. We will not be eating here again.
I have ordered food from this restaurant for several years. But my last 2 orders were very disappointing of the same meal. I live 5 minutes away when I got home. It was totally cold and I was told. It would take 10 minutes that I waited 30 minutes. I don't know if it's your ownership. But I can't recommend this place any longer. And i've heard this from other people when i've mentioned it
We had preordered for New Year’s Eve, but when I arrived to pickup the order it wasn’t ready. Waited an additional half hour for my order. I get that it was New Year’s Eve, but they seemed unprepared and short staffed. Food was pretty mediocre and portions were small. This is one of the few times I haven’t had leftovers from ordering Chinese food. The egg foo young came with a weird sauce (not a brown gravy) loaded with peas and cubed carrots from the freezer. The pu pu platter appetizer for 2 was skimpy and disappointing, with some strange shredded chicken thing wrapped in a tiny foil triangle. Recommendation: drive a little further north and go to China 8. You won’t be disappointed.
Disappointment. Went for an early dinner as I ate here before. The food is good, old school Chinese. However, tonight on Tuesday, 19 November 2024 was another story. Walked in at 5:15 pm and was told immediately "we are closed" ugh the sign on the door says 9:00 pm and on Google. He goes on to say we closed early today. There were a few diners inside eating. Such a rude person. I said you should Have put a sign on the door. Further said I will never be coming back. Such a shame the food is good. Hope the owner sees this post as your staff really dropped the ball. I would have taken to go.
First time ordering from here. I wanted delivery. I called when food was 20 minutes late. My food was just cooking. They made excuses; had the food been good I’d give it another try. Food being 50 minutes behind schedule and “meh”, I won’t be back
Very disappointed I took some Beef and Broccoli back and Jennifer the Manager refused to give me my money back. She was aggressive towards me my children, even telling my son that no one has never took their food back and that we are lying about not liking the food.
Sorry but I was raised in San Francisco, lived in Asia for 10 years, and have an Asian spouse and we agree that this restaurant serves the worst food around. Yes even Panda Express is better. We were served shrimp that wasn’t shrimp, disguised in batter. The blandness of everything may appeal to some but it’s not anything like China. The owners appear to cut corners where they can. We left feeling we’d been had!
Ordered takeout and should have taken pictures. Egg rolls were greasy and overdone with very little filling. The Moo Shoo Vegetables had no flavor and had broccoli and whole pea pods. They should have been thinly sliced and it seemed it was just a vegetable stir fry and was soupy. The worse was the small fried rice. No vegetables or egg in it. They took white rice and poured soy sauce on it and it was mushy. I met a friend here for lunch a couple of years ago ago and it wasnt very good then. I thought I'd try give it a try again. Definitely will not eat here again!
Good portions, terrible food. Easily the worst Chinese food I've had in years. No flavor, cheap ingredients. Shrimp was off. Just generally low quality food. I just wasted $50 on this place, and I'm throwing 90% of it away :/ Try anywhere else.
Restaurant says they’re open at 11. Doors are locked. No one answering phone!!!
In this restaurant, one family is constantly working. They just can't hire additional staff because they don't respect their customers who come to them every day and order food. You expect it to take 20 minutes, but you end up waiting for an hour and a half for your order. Every time a courier brings my order, it's either cold, or I have to wait two hours. It's a complete lack of respect for their customers. Maybe you will do something to have an extra two people working for you, not just two people when you have a two-hour queue ahead. But it's impossible. It's the same thing every day. Every time I order, it's a two-hour wait when it's supposed to be 30 minutes. How much longer can this go on? Maybe you'll do something to have an extra person working and helping you?
I ordered take out. Had sweet and sour chicken and fried rice. The chicken was just a take out container filled with fried chicken tenders. That's it! The sweet and sour sauce was basically a red sugar sauce in a separate container. (Sort of a "do it yourself" dinner). I paid $14 for basically chicken tenders. Most went uneaten. Hoped the container would have actual sweet and sour chicken. The fried rice side tasted like just plain white rice with sauce. (I do suspect that fried rice ordered as an entree would be regular fried rice, not what I received).
Sad to say that China Buffet on 111 tastes better. Panda Express is tastier, and fresher than what we got. Spent 7 hours on the freeway stuck in traffic, we order from here through their online service, I got a text saying it would be ready in 20 minutes. No problem! We had to stop a couple places anyway, but got there about 25 minutes later. My boyfriend goes in, lady says it's not ready, ok..no problem. 10 minutes later he comes out with the food saying the lady said they were still making it. We have a 3 minute drive home, we start opening stuff right away.. it's all luke warm! All of it. The Mongolian Beef tastes nothing like any other. It was horrible. The sweet & sour chicken tastes microwaved. Nothing was good, and I usually give people credit where its due, but I can't say 1 good thing about our dinner..(Im sorry, ill retract that if we don't get food poisoning, because that would be the silver lining here) We ordered their "family dinner for 2." NOT ONE DISH HAD ANY FLAVOR Never again. Don't waste your money here.
Do not waste your time and money here. Hefty price tag for very small portions and mediocre food. Huge disappointment. We were absolutely shocked at the price at pick up and more shocked when we ate it. We are from San diego and LA areas and love Chinese food. We often get it and this just didn't compare.
Very basic. S & S pork, Beef Egg Foo Young. Ordered Egg rolls but they were spring rolls. The Egg Drop soup was decent.
I've been going to wangs for 7 years now and the last 2 times I went the food tasted completely different. The meat was old and had a weird taste to it. The wor wonton soup was terrible..the wontons were very dry and stiff and was mostly broth than anything .. I had mentioned it to the waitress and she took it to the cooks and in 3 minutes another man came and dropped it off and wasn't even fixed or touched..it was warm at room temperature and not hot..this will be my last Time going there..I believe there's new cooks or new chef .. because it was never like this before...
The absolute worst Chinese food we have had in the desert. We used to go here years ago and it was very good. Then they apparently changed the chef. We didn't go for several years but thought we'd give it another try. Huge mistake. It's worse than it was before. Egg Foo Young, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Chicken Chow Mein ... all flavorless and inedible. We ate what we could and then threw it away. The best part were the fortune cookies ... especially the one that said "Try something different in your life." We will ... something totally different than Wangs in CC. It's back to City Wok in Palm Desert. It's 15 minutes farther to go there, but worth it.
I ordered the 6 beef skewers appetizer and sesame chicken. For the appetizer they gave me 4 slivers of beef jerky. The sesame chicken was just overly sweet orange chicken with a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top. The chicken was tough and stringy, and there was a hair in it. Definitely not worth $20.
Ordered General Tso's chicken. Tiny little bits of batter, tough and chewy overcooked chicken. Completely unappetizing. Teriyaki beef did not taste like it was ever marinated. Dry and small portions of beef with poor teriyaki flavor. Sad to say that Panda Express is better than this. Disappointing.
The food is good but they get so many orders online. It looks like they have a small kitchen and can't handle such a big number of orders! I felt so bad as drivers and diners vented on the waiters right and left!! I believe management should re consider many things to keep customers happy! I suggest stopping online orders on Saturday night!! Pretty upsetting to witness waiters get yelled at and they can't help but apologize!!!
Absolutely the most flavorless food I have ever had. The sweet and sour pork was completely dried out and had NO flavor. The onions and peppers were not cooked and there was no pineapple. The sauce was very thin and also had no flavor. Very disappointing.
China 8 was closed. Decided to try this place, what a mistake! I waited an hour to be served my food. The food was cold and mediocre at beast. I will never eat here again. Dont waist your time.
I did visit the restaurant with my family. It took over 15 minutes to take the order another 20-30 minutes to serve the food we were staving like hell. Pretty much one girl work front desk doing all the work such as take order, charge, prepare table, serving the food and water so on.Food taste not that good.Honestly Panda Express better very disappointed..

It's truly sad, that ne and my daughter waited over 5 minutes with no one even speaking a word to us. Not asking are we dining in or taking out! Never looked at us. Honestly I work to hard for my money, also run a few buisnesses myself. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE PRESENCE.
