so this location has their stuff together. they were polite; they offered things; the wait was longer than typical fast food, but for the quality it's worth it. especially when you get fresh fries with your fresh burger.. i got fresh fries with my fresh burger! on point, team. as an added bonus, i'm a coffee fiend, and i tried the hot, Mexican hot chocolate coffee. winner, winner, chicken dinner.. literally!

As always this burger place is an awesome Texas icon with excellent food, fast service and hospitality! Due to the high volume of people passing through, they always have a person dedicated to just keeping the dining room clean and orderly which makes for a very clean, comfortable dine in experience!

Just wanted to share how awesome this whataburger is. I called in early on July 4th for a big order of 75 chicken strips. These guys had my order ready within 30 minutes of me leaving my house and charged me no extra cost for Buffalo sauce. I love the staff at this specific location as I’ve been eating at this whataburger for over 5 years. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by the staff with a smile on their face. Their super friendly and have a good sense of humor. Everyone there seems to love their job and that itself makes the food tastes even 10x better.

They brought us our food quickly, and we had an option of fancy or spicy ketchup. Food was fresh and they got it right even with simple special requests which is not always the case in some places. Took a star down on atmosphere due to cleanliness of bathroom as well as some food and a table number on the floor. Would overall recommend as these are easy to fix and generally the place was clean appearing. We would eat here again if in the area. We had two adult meals and two kids meals.

We, of course, had burgers. A single and a double bacon. Both were good but identical to any you would get at any location, I imagine. The server was super friendly, and we did not have to wait long on our order, despite being very busy. The bathrooms were very clean. If you've never eaten at this chain before, the indoor is set up similar to Dairy Queen or Burger King.

Breakfast and lunch or dinner are still great fast food. Coffee during breakfast to me was not good, too bitter, not full flavored like it used to be years ago before it was bought out.

1st time going here while visiting. Looks like an ordinary fast food chain that's open 24hrs. But after waiting 12 minutes for my food and tasting the Burger,fries, and strawberry shake, I realized this isn't nothing like McDonald's! The bun was a nice soft bun, the Burger was a double burger that was too big for me to finish and the beef patty taste like real meat. The shake taste like real ice cream with strawberry syrup. Service was good. Manager handed us our food plus a tray of condiments for us to choose from.

I abhor fast food but needed to squat a bit while my car was being serviced. The Honda serviceman recommended the breakfast option. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Tasty. Great service. Clean indoor seating.

I've been to this location three times, and got old, cold fries twice. Usually the burgers are fine, but the last time I visited this location my burger looked and tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for hours. Because I'm on my (very short) lunch break, I don't have time to take the food back and get it replaced with better quality fries or burgers. The staff is very friendly and professional.

For the past several years, I'll hit this particular Whataburger about once per month because of its convenience. Each time I go in, I hope that it's better than the last time, but unfortunately, it's not. Thr food here is consistently average at best. The fries are always squishy, and the burgers are so-so. That being said, other Whataburger locations are consistently great.

I was overcharged for my order. When I questioned it the young manager said he doesn't set the prices. I ordered a 8 spicy wing and they charged me for the 13. Didn't put the ranch I asked for. He was rude and very uncaring. The girl that took the order didn't get it right at all. It was a mess from the beginning. And the young smart mouth had the odasity to tell me twice to have a good life. Very disrespectful! I have never had a problem with this location since it opened. Until now. Not happy at all!

My experience here is hit and miss. about 50 % of the time my burgers are missing at least one of the ingredients. They will leave off the onions, or the pickles, Quite often. Just goes to show you that it is hard to get good help. Update - 8/28/25 - Same old thing! Tried this store again. Burger was fine. The drive thru girl over charged me for the meal. I didn't catch it at the drive thru. Managers need to train the crew better! Crew members can only take so much of the blame, if they don't know what they are doing, it is poor training and that is the managements fault!

Burger was good. As ordered. Service was spor on. Place was clean. They do not fry enough. Fries and Onion rings come out soggy. No crunch. Leave them in the fryer longer.

Ordered on the app. Ordered for a set time which was 25 minutes later.. There is a difference between toasted and burnt. I am sure I checked toasted. All sandwiches were nearly as "toasted" as this one. The onion rings were a disappointment as well. Bunch of fried coatings mainly.

Fries were awful. Person speaker asked if I wanted ketchup. At window they didn't give it to me and then no napkins. But the gentleman at speaker was very polite.

Food good, staff not very professional. Went in drive-through, the lady asked to take our order, my husband started to and she interrupted and said "one minute". Then asked again. We get to the window they overfilled our milkshakes so much it was seeping out the lid. There were no napkins in our bag and they didn't ask if we wanted sauces.. maybe it was an off day, maybe it was crazy busy stressed. I understand I've worked this kind of place, at least be friendly and helpful.

Stopped at this location around 3am, after getting off of work. I was the only car in the drive thru. After a super long wait, finally turned off my car & played solitaire. Told there was a group of kids that just came in. I finally received the saddest, flattest burger I have ever seen. Had to open burger to see if there were any vegetables. Was it worth the wait? Definitely not!

First off I love Whataburger but this was just off. We ordered our food but felt a little rushed and she seemed like maybe she was having a bad day. It's ok we all do. But later we got our food and I was almost half way into my burger when I noticed that it was still pink in the middle. I told an employee and it seemed she didn't really care I wasn't asking for another burger just to let them be aware of the issue. Next road trip we will definitely be stopping at the Braums a mile down the road instead.

The lady on the intercom was so rude! The moment we pulled up she said what can I get you. I said just a second, and her response was, of course. Then, she continued to be rude. Food's good, but it could be hotter and better with service when completing orders. They gave someone else our order and then tried to give it to us after the other customers had already gone through the bag. They didn't put napkins or condiments in the bag, nor did they ask if we needed any.

I pulled up to the drive-thru and a teenager was standing next to the intercom. She stared at me without greeting or taking my order, I asked if she was taking orders to which she only nodded yes. I order and pull up to the first window and the person only takes my card and does not even give me a receipt or anything. I get my food at the next window only to find a cold halfway cooked burger and cold and stale fries. They did not ask if I wanted condiments neither did they put any in my bag. I would give this location 0 stars if there was an option.

I was at your restaurant today @ 11:48 am as I placed my order in ENGLISH, cashier Deyanira T. responded with “ I don’t speak Spanish”. I responde with What? In English. She again repeated I don’t speak Spanish.“ I had spoken to her in English. Deyanira T. called a Spanish speaker to take my order. I informed her I had ordered in English. The other employee stated yes I heard you, you ordered #2. Dayanara tried to deny me services because she assumed I spoke only Spanish. As your employee she represents you. She tried to discriminate against me, I suggest you review your videos in regards to this incident.

Friday, at 10:30AM, on Oct 18, 2024… Cold coffee was undrinkable it so extremely strong. Asked for fresh hot coffee. Server gave me another cup that was hot but coffee grounds were floating in the second cup of thick dark black coffee. I mentioned it to her and she replied cordially that Whataburger’s coffee is like that…it’s really strong. Food was cold. We didn’t bother to ask for help on that issue due to the coffee ordeal. Seems like everyone there was in training today. (?) The prices are too high everywhere now, and especially when it’s for a crummy meal like this. We frequent this Whataburger often because we live near by. Not happy at ALL with today’s experience at Whataburger.

I would appreciate not having my wife mocked for asking management to fulfill her order. Leadership should set the standard for customer care, not drop the bar and encourage employees to mock their customers.

I really don’t like writing bad reviews but i’m just so disappointed. Ordered a chicken salad, the container that it was in was covered in grease couldn’t even open it until i used some sanitizer wipes on it. Says on my receipt no tomatoes but of course they leave them on here anyways, then midway through eating my salad i pause. AND PULL A HAIR OUT OF MY MOUTH. disgusting and unacceptable do these workers not tie their hair up?

What I love most is that there have been several times now that I ordered the wings and wasn't given utensils through the drive-thru. This time, I looked and didn't see any utensils again, so I asked the employee at the window for utensils, only for them to give me a spoon. How am I supposed to eat my wings on the go with a spoon?

I have been so disappointed with every Whataburger I have been going to in the past couple years! It seems like since COVID, you go through the drive through and your burger is pre cooked! The meat is cold and dry, the bread is not fresh either, it's like it's been sitting out for someone to grab a precooked patty and slap some old tomatoes and some hard white lettuce on a bun and chunk it to you out the window and it's so expensive now! Prices are out rages and their food isn't worth eating! It's awful! I go to fast food places everyday all over the place, because of my job. Fast food is a horrible joke now

I am very very very disappointed. I use to visit this location and to come through today to eat lunch. I know she was the Manger very very very rude. Did not greet just told me the price grabbed my card came back with my card and food I just ordered a whataburger Jr I ask for more napkins and she said they are in the bag I said more napkins please I had to ask for my receipt. I have never experienced this at Whataburger in my whole entire life. I will not go back to that one for sure. I see why they don't have a line almost around the building anymore. Going down! Larry was working on equipment, everyone else was looking around confused and talking. When Larry went to window he had drinks for someone behind me ready so it looks like the other people messed up and forgot my order or something. Larry did a good job of not letting on in case it would be a customer that got too upset. He gave me my drink, took payment, and I’m still waiting for my food. Larry is the one who caught the mistake and worked on fixing the issue. Everyone else didn’t even know. It’s literally been 20 minutes now that I e been waiting at the drive through window, not counting the time I spent waiting behind other cars, just me at the window waiting. Typing this review out while waiting. Incompetent, unapologetic, rude, oblivious staff. (Except for Larry) Finally got food after 22 minutes of waiting at the window. (Not total wait time.)

Been the HVAC trade for almost 30 years - seen something very disturbing -was walking to bathroom and noticed their HVAC systems in the hallway with doors open - I was amazed by what is say- the air handlers were covered by mold/ mildew . This is absolutely amazing. These systems inside create condensation which if not maintained wil grow growth- please see the posted picture below - if the outside of the ductwork and the air handlers look like this can you imagine what the ductwork and coil/blower look like - this is absolutely amazing. People breath this air - food is made in this air. Absolutely disgusting

horrible! ordered large fries and did not receive it. i ordered 2 gravy’s and each one only had half gravy, it was so small i poured one into the other and it fit in there!! paid extra and i really only got one gravy🙄 and the fries we got… is like nothing. even called them too and no one picked up. just go to another whataburger if you actually want some food

Got whataburger for dinner and got a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings, the onion rings were great, but then I open my burger and this is what I get, the patty looks like it was dropped on the ground and stepped on multiple times, it's extremely thin compared to what it usually is, i wouldn't recommend eating here unless your vegetarian. And also these tarrifs hitten hard!!!

Tyler handed us our food about 20 minutes after ordering 🍔⏳ and said, “I’ll be right back with the ketchup tray.” But as soon as someone came to the line, he put the tray back 🤦‍♂️🍅 and started helping them instead. I went to the counter to get it myself, but both Tyler and another kid with dark curly hair 👦👀 completely ignored me. They saw me but didn’t even ask if I needed anything 🙄. Finally, an elderly woman in a Whataburger uniform 👵🍔✨ and a yellow reflective vest came to my rescue and helped me get the ketchup I needed. The whole experience felt like waiting for a bus in the desert—slow, frustrating, and confusing 🏜️⏰. This location is now on my “never again” list 🚫. Do better! 🌭⏳😑🙄🍔⏰👎👵👍🍅✨⭐️

I just had a very unsatisfying overpriced chicken finger meal here! There weren't anymore fries in the "Medium Fries" then in the "Small Fries" at McDonald's or Jack in the Box and they were cold, limp, and greasy! The chicken fingers were the smallest I've gotten anywhere in Mckinney and the toast was cold! Worst of all, I was still hungry in a way no other chicken meal in town would have left me! I don't believe I'll ever eat here again!
