Good burgers, nice staff. Going at midnight gave us a nostalgic, late-night cozy diner feel. We will definitely be back!
Well I have. Been in there a couple times they have good food in there I chicken fried steak and fries and tea and u might see people u might know in there it is a awesome place to eat to me it is people
My bf and I love the greasy, flavorful food we get here. Lol. I know that's bad but it is so yummy and the waitresses are always very friendly and helpful. This is our fave in town.
Good food and price I was here for lunch and breakfast the next day and as a trucker from California I know when you have a very good testing food and very good attention. Thanks girls.! For making my one day enjoyable. Hope to see you again.!
Nice little diner. Great good and friemdly wait staff. Glad i found it. It stays open late and its quite spacious so no one runs into eachother anymore. I'll have to say... It was a pleasant surprise anyhow .
These ladies know how to cook eggs. When I asked for eggs over medium, I got eggs over medium. The bacon is full of flavor. $5.00 each got hubby and I a plate full of 2 eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and toast. We will be back on our next trip to Littlerock
OUTSGANDIMG SERVICE ALL AROUND! The 3rd shift cook BOMB af with everything on point the flavors we're kicking and the only problem is I didn't order desert! Club sandwich and fish sandwich come HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and treat yourself to the perfectly fried non fishy tasting onion rings! Uggghhh these people want your business!
All those bad reviews are from years ago. This place has great food, friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. I'd be a regular if I lived nearby.
The only problem here is I eat too much...we drive in from Greenville pretty regularly here . Not 1 time has my food been cold or gotten it wrong awesome ladies
Great food. I've been going here since high school. Great staff. All around the best breakfast in town.
Lucked out and got a seat by the grill, on a cold day. I seriously think y'all need to put a video of the grill meister on social media. Be sure to include when he switches out the fryer baskets!
Homemade cheeseburger and handcut fries with a sweet tea and lemon is a must have. It's a ol diner style that is just the setting to take you back and you'll enjoy the wonderful service they have. Great prices also.
The best home cooked breakfast I’ve had in a min. Closest thing to “ya mommas house” you’ll find!! Just a hole in the wall. May wanna Bring a blanket, it’s chilly but 10/10!
Tiny place but bigger on the inside than it looks outside. Needs a sign! I couldn't tell it was a restaurant from the outside. Nice people inside. Home style food. Decent prices.
Great Food, Quick Service and Large Portions. Be careful if you ordering Pancakes, to only order one, two is more than most people can eat. Doesn't look like much, but it's got awesome food and service.
I’ve ate here a time or two as a truck driver parking at the loves down the street and every time I come here I always get a bunch of food for a reasonable price . Hope to come again soon
That food is really good and the waitress Jennifer is funny and is always on top of it with the smile and refilling my rootbeer, the cook Ashley makes a surberb pancake and those homemade chicken strips are amazing and to die for Id have to say so far those two are the best waitresses and cooks that have served me they are funny and lovely to chat with
Omg give coming special meatloaf open 24/7 the plate was six bucks you really can't beat that and the sweet tea was nice that's what I call tea. The staff was very nice hey I didn't want to leave I wanted to move in. Nice management thanks guys
This is a must stop café if you find yourself passing through Paris. Just sit at the counter and enjoy the comfort food and great coffee. I have stopped here several times while doing the scenic route from Houston, TX up to Minnesota. You will also find great conversation here too from the staff. Paris is a cool little town as is all of east Texas.
Staff was amazing, someone had call in sick and they were short handed, but they kept a smile on their faces and served up great food.
It's a very good place to eat and the lance alot burger is the best out of all of what's on the menu. Service is great and very polite, many compliments on the service and people who work there. Much Respect for your service.
Great people great food. Service was great. Made sure we were taken care of. Sweet tea cup was huge. Didn't need to ask for a refill. Lol
Some minor construction going on... a little noisy, but still worth the walk from the truck stop.
This place might not be much to look at , but the food is amazing! I had the pancakes and they were by far the best I have ever had. My Aunt had the Spanish omelette. She was impressed with how they saute the vegetables before putting the omelette together. Definitely will be returning.
Great food and service. Typical diner atmosphere.
Food was great service not that great was little slow and didn't seem real busy took a while to get the food and the waitress I believe she said she was the owner wasn't very friendly and couldn't even greet customers with a smile but overall the food was great. It's a good place to eat if you don't care about the service or the person waiting on the table to be friendly
Jerry is the best cook in town , and Vicki is absolutely the best waitress. We love coming here. We go 4 or 5 times a week . The food and service is amazing. They always treat us like family, and go outta there way to make us feel at home . We love this place
Missy and Jessica was great, and fast service, great convo
Lovely staff, quaint diner with homemade food you can see being cooked. If you can't sleep well, traveling or need a home cooked meal - this is the place to go.
Had breakfast (french toast w bacon) at this diner during work. Waitress was friendly and the food was good! She kept my coffee hot. I plan to visit again...she recommends the pancakes!
Great place to eat the lady treats you nice and the food comes out hot and ready!
I was sitting at the truck stop that's across the street got hungry, and I seen the little place and decided I would go there for something different. I thought that they would act a little funny seeing a black guy walk in, but I was wrong, very friendly atmosphere, food was great, and the staff was very friendly, they just didn't just took my order and left me sitting there. I would definitely go back there to eat again.
Missy and Jessica did they big one tonight,
We ate here on a trip home from Kansas to Louisiana. The food was GREAT! We had the fried egg sandwiches with bacon and the bacon was delicious! Also had great grits and hashbrowns! We had great service and got our food quickly. We will eat here again on our next trip home!
Wonderful staff and great food!!!
This place is a nice little hometime diner. Was right done the road from Loves where I was parked for the day so I walked down and gave it a shot. The two ladies working there were very friendly, prompt and quite funny. Very curtiousasking if I wanted extras (onions, peppers, cheese, gravy) on my potatoes and eggs. Kept my coffee filled and the woman cooking was on point. If I get a chance to stop again I hope they're still there.
Excellent food with friendly people. Got that old Diner feel to it. Regular customers. And the food is amazing. Their pancakes are off the chain. Especially with the warm syrup and melted butter. Yum
I luv Jessica M she the best cook # let's eat
From Outta Town I Ate Here 3 Times At Different Hours Of The Day. Lunch, Dinner & Late Night Dinner. Very Localized Spot, But Welcome To Everyone. Great Food, Great Prices ! Great Banter Between Staff & Customers I Will Definitely Be Back, Hopefully Soon !
Definitely one of the best restaurants Paris Texas has ever had, legendary place for sure with food that is just as good as the service
This is a true home cooking, 24 /7 old school diner! Food came out piping hot and fresh! This was our first time in so we asked our waitress, Rhonda for some suggestions. She was very helpful and spot. Breakfast is amazing for dinner. Give them a try. Expect to be patient on your order. It's worth it.
Great place to eat, and pass the time, the wait was about 8 minutes, and the waitress was nice and friendly
Everything about my experience was great! The food was delicious/filling and my server (Missy) was attentive and easy to talk to -Manny
Sooooo good. Open 24/7 which is a huge plus. Right under $20 for both my mom and I to eat and we left so full and so satisfied! Go in and ask for Missy!
Missy was very polite and courteous. Was not pushy on getting in the order from us. Good sized portions. Wish I could put more stars.
Always a great dining experience when I come here.
Waiter Missy and Jessica the cook were the best and the food was amazing ! totally recommend eating here
Missy was an outstanding host and waitress for myself and my grandmother.
Very friendly and fast service. Had breakfast for lunch and the bacon was cooked to perfection. I talk about the bacon cause it was that thick slice like Wrights Bacon!
Good food and a friendly staff. For them to be busy and still be served with great service was awesome.
Very nice staff, make you feel welcome to the establishment. Good home style cooking. Definitely recommend it
Hefty portions, super service, & superb food. Upon entering you see an old school, long, traditional diner-bar w/swivel chairs. Lots of cracks & broken floor tiles in dining area, but very clean. They're cooking on the grill & making coffee right in front of you. Aroma’s tantalizing! Today had the egg & bacon sandwich. Hamburger-sized bun. Lotsa egg & thick, crispy, bacon: 𝑴𝒎𝒎 - 𝑴𝒎𝒎 - cooked to perfection! I salute the cook. Only $5.⁴⁶ for entrée + drink. Great price. 🥓 In back are pool tables-n-video games. Folks eating & playing pool back there. Parking lot's near full. Several patrons in booths & bar. ⏰ The Sunriser's open 24 hrs a day. Lived close by about 1yr. Went weekly for diner salad, lg chicken fried steak-n-baked potato - my favorite meal there. ❌ No WiFi. The restrooms are not wheelchair accessible; too little room for access/egress & maneuvering to toilet. No hand rails. ✅ No longer smells like cigarette smoke. Much more pleasant dining. Enjoyable experience. I will be back.
The 100%chicken fried steak was delicious. The fries were fresh and tasty. Its a simple dinner with good food.
Food was good. Waitress was super sweet. She was hard-core hitting on my dad though. Lol kinda gross 🤣 I hate watching old people flirt.
Doesn't look like much as you drive up. Sign is sun faded and makes you wonder if they are still there. The service was top notch. The food was really good. Was very glad we stopped in.
If your looking for a hole in the wall Cafe/diner you've found it. But the food was surprisingly good and the server was pretty quick. Note: unless your very hot natured do not sit in the window booths or bar area, it's freezing cold there.
It had a nice atmosphere. We were on the road a long time and looking for a family diner for some pancakes, so it was perfect. They didn't have any chocolate chips to put in the kids pancakes, which I thought was a little strange and the short stack was MASSIVE, but the kids really enjoyed the ham steak. I had the BLT sandwich and it was pretty standard, but the cheese fries were a little strange, as it was just slices of American cheese barely melted on, I'm not sure if that's normal here though, but we usually have melted nacho cheese on them where I'm from. one of each of the kids pancakes were pretty burnt. My husband enjoyed his burger, the sweet tea was really good, the staff was super friendly and I would probably go back if I lived closer. Honestly, the biggest issue I had was how narrow the front of the restaurant is. It was difficult navigating in a place you're unfamiliar with, trying to get two small children inside and also getting over to the bathroom was tricky.
Above average. My chopped steak was well crafted. Fries were good. Sweet tea was extra sweet- just like I like it. Seating was tight for a large person such as myself.
Service was pretty fast and the food was pretty good. The only issue was table was sticky and was not wiped prior to us being seated and the cooks and service people left to smoke and we waited several minutes at the cash register before they came back to take our money.
I pretty much grew up in this place. It's changed a lot over the years but the service has always been good. They're welcoming and you can sit and just drink coffee if you want. The food is mid, if you go get the lunch special.
Had the Spanish omelet and it was amazing as always!! The ladies working were great, very friendly and attentive to our needs. Definitely will be back!!
Food good service is great. Love going there
Overall I'd give this place a good rating. The only thing that concerned me was water dripping from the switches over the griddle onto the griddle. Employees were quick to grab a pan and put under it, but still... That needs to be fixed. Otherwise excellent as long as you don't mind good being greasy. Bacon and eggs were excellent, hash browns had a lot of grease sitting under the bottom quarter. Or maybe it was butter.
Old fashioned diner open 24hrs. The menu offers lots of good choices and breakfast is served all day. The chicken fried chicken is hand battered fresh, not premade or frozen. The sign out front is very faded so you may not see it right away. The staff is very friendly and provided great service. I'd definitely come again.
Always good simple food, friendly service and laid back atmosphere
Food was good but the place is really ran down and dirty. I felt like I didn't want to touch anything. The windows were covered in food and handprints.
Friendly staff food cooked to order do its fresh and hot. Could use a little remodeling and updating inside but overall nice place food was good.
We walked over from Love's last night with our dog. I was looking forward to some home cookin for my birthday. They almost forgot about our order, maybe cuz we weren't always in sight. We waited over 40 min. I got the catfish dinner with home fries and my bf got a burger and onion rings. They forgot his onion rings. We were tired from driving from kansas, so we didn't feel like walking the half mile back over there. It was tasty though.
The food was good but the timing was bad. They brought our waffles out first. Then it took another 15 minutes to bring our eggs, bacon, etc. It was not tha crowded so not sure why it took so long. Staff was friendly.
Food was great service was excellent the restaurant was terribly rundown overall not bad
Customer service was good but what I disliked the most was the cook NEVER used gloves while preparing our food and there was a box of gloves on the counter. VERY unsanitary and unsatisfied!
Bleach blonde waitress only gave my husband tea. She never brought my coffee, burnt my waffle, never brought any topping for the raw one that another waitress had to fix. The blonde was too worried about getting phone numbers and cackling with regular customers than to care for any new customers. They took money off our tab for the horrible service but then added it back on. What should have only been a $10 meal plus a discount cost us $20...we were already so flustered we just paid the damn tab and left. Worst place I have ever stopped at and will never recommend or return.
Me and my family ate here and our waitress was friendly but didn't seem like she knew what she was doing to be honest. We tried to give her our order a couple of times but she wouldn't listen and walked away saying "okay one sec" two times. When we did get our food it was extremely cold at least my breakfast food was their dinners where okay they said. My pancakes especially was so gross! I do not recommend the pancakes to anyone! I say just go to McKees if you are going out to eat at 3 in the morning. Bad experience!!
Warning long review.. so if wanna skip the read, I'd say just until things change, don't waste your time or money here. This used to be my absolute favorite diner in Paris. I've been going there fairly regularly for the better part of 25 years. In high school and just after, it was three or four, even five nights a week I was there sometimes more than once a day. I have always counted on them having excellent food, humongous portions, friendly & familiar faces and very, very extraordinary prices. The last few times I've gone the food quality has been somewhat less than superb but still good and still plentiful. Prices had gone up a bit but not tremendously. Tonight though, I put in my usual call in order, one cheese omelette with a side of home fries and western omelet add jalapenos & bacon with a side of sue taters.. and my total was $35 and change. I was charged nearly $8 for a plain cheese omelet! That's what two or three eggs and sliced cheese, two slices of toast, and half a handful of hash browns.. The Western is the same except add some peppers, onions, a little ham, plus my jalapenos and bacon, it was nearly $15.00 all in! I was floored, I know prices have gone up on things but that is ridiculous. Easily more than double what I paid less than 2 months ago. I mean come on really $1.29 to add jalapenos and more shockingly, $4.00 to add bacon to my omelette! I told myself as I left, it's only money, it'll still be good.. but it wasn't, the food was not anywhere close to the quality or quantity that I had grown used to, and still yet, far below even my more recent visits.. I should have realized when I pulled into the parking lot and I was the only customer. There was a time the Sunriser would be bustling even at 1:30 in the morning on a Tuesday.. I've always told anyone that asked, the Sunriser was the place to go. Needless to say I won't be giving that recommendation anymore.. & It'll be a good long while before I go back... I'm heartbroken, & feel as though I've lost a family member tonight. It truly is a sad day for Paris Texas when you can get a steak at other places for little more than what I paid for an omelet here.
The fried pickles were okay but the cheese fries are nothing but slices of cheese on fries then put in the microwave I expected actual cheese on them not that, fries were soggy and cold. Little over priced too for things will never go back. A food critic should go and see that place too, they need Gordon Ramsey to see that he'd shut that place down.
waited an hour for food.. Then delivered cold and no silverware? half the food was too hard to eat.. Never again...?! Here is a tip more staff and bigger grill
Awefullest cheeseburger sonic better and nearly twelve bucks for just two cheeseburgers I asked for old fashioned country burger which usually would describe thick hand patty old thin dry frozen patty felt like I was lied to
Waited over an hour and 20 minutes for food. Server had to ask us what the prices were for each item we got. Server forgot about salads for and hour.
Waited 45 minutes for eggs and order was laid to the side and never turned in. The place had a smell and was dirty. Cook was mashing bread down with bare hands. Should have turned around and walked out when I walked in. Don’t see how they are not closed down
I ordered 2 eggs sunny side up, bacon, hash browns and pancakes The eggs were on the raw side, the pancakes tasted like batter. Hash browns were okay, but needed to cook longer. The only thing good on the plate was the bacon.
Bad, bad, bad!! Waitress picked up her phone while taking order, food didn't have any flavor, over cooked, and priced way too high for low quality service.
Worst restaurant experience I have ever had.
I pass this place everyday, so I decided to go for breakfast. When my plate came out the food looked so good. I ordered the Old Country Breakfast with Ham Steak, 2 eggs, hash browns and toast. The Ham Steak was huge, eggs with cheese were fluffy, hash browns cooked just right and toasted was toasted like I like it. Then I seen something in my hash browns. A short strand of grey hair. I called the waitress over and showed her the hair. She apologized, took my plate and fixed me another one. This time my hash browns were under cooked. Eggs were not fluffy and my toast was not completely toasted. The Ham Steak was good. I don't understand why the cooks don't wear hair nets and no gloves. You are preparing people's food . Well, I'm afraid I won't be going back.
This place has always been nostalgic to me and my family. However, lately the quality of staff and overall experience has dwindled. Although the staff are friendly, they leave much to question in regards to cleanliness and hygiene. (Dirty fingernails and bringing drinks with your hands cupped over the top of the glass)
The workers are amazing people and there are a few that can actually cook however it's not cool that they don't wear hair nets and the prices are getting outrageous. I don't approve of having hair in my food or drink and still have to pay for it. All I'm saying is this place needs to step up or they won't make it much longer and that's sad to say since the sunriser have been around so long. There's some workers that come in high off the tails and drunk and sorry to say that's not who I want waiting on me.
Usually pretty good.. I bragged on it and took someone there and the salad was nothing like it had been. The eggs were whole looked straight from the chicken, the bacon wasn't crumbled it was stuck together and raw on about each end of the bacon while middle burnt...raw omg laying on my salad.
I hadn't been to this restaurant since I worked there when I was 16. I can honestly say that it hasn't changed much in 24 years. The food was horrible. I barely ate any of it and the waitress never asked me if everything was good or not. . Obviously not since I didn't eat it. My Daughter didn't like her food either.. so neither of us ate. I had coffee. Service was not attentive at all. If I could give negative stars, I would. I promise you are better off going to McDonald's. I'm honestly surprised the place is still open..
I'd give it a zero if i could. 1) took an hour for food. 2) ordered French toast with one medium egg and sausage patty and got one undercooked egg with hash browns and toast. Was told she (Fay) would bring the French toast right out as well as asking for hot sauce for the undercooked egg. No French toast and no hot sauce. No refill on water and waited some more and finally left. Will never go back and do not recommend. There loss.
Not even a 1 star. It took us getting up to leave almost an hour after ordering before we even got our food halfway brought to us. They were not really busy. A lot of empty tables. I watched 2 different cooks go outside for a break, not at the same time. And the guy covered in shitty tattoos tried to mouth off about it until he realized my husband was standing there close to him.
The food is really good the waitress is amazing but the cook lisa is the nastiest person not cleanliness but hated for people and her coworkers she talk so bad about the waitress when she wasn’t around it made everybody uncomfortable and made me unable to eat and I’m so disgusted that someone like that can be employed at such a good place I will not be returning nor will anyone I know until something is done about her attitude towards everyone especially her coworkers
Been there multiple times in the last few months and every time the food gotten worse every time I went. The food comes out greasy as hell no matter what you get and the food wasn't fully cooked. And the waitress didn't want to do her job and the only thing that she done was stand around not doing her job and got over charge for shitty service and food is ridiculous.
It took 45 minutes for my breakfast then when I do get it my fork couldn't cut through my waffle, even with the butter knife had a hard time it was ridiculous I showed the waitress I reordered my waffles it was good but by that time I was there over an hour just for waiting which was not worth the wait I would never go back
Waited over an hour fries were soggy and cold, burger and fish sandwich were great and biscuits and gravy were good. I understand the poor old lady does all the work, and I respect her for it greatly, but she definitely needs some help around there!!! Almost made me late to Tyler, TX maybe take less orders at the time… because they’re quite busy for one old lady to cook, prepare and pack orders!!!
