Happy Italians serving Happy People, best place on the Westside of the Valley. Mom, Dad, Sons, and daughters work/own this place. The San Carlo Sub perfect size, excellent meats, true Italian dishes and pizzas. All the fave Italian cookies and canolis. Always add 3-4 stuffed "mild" peppers for a nice app. Garlic bread dipped in the pepper olive oil adds even more pleasure. Go hungry and try it all. Pastrami is proper, very lean, No Mustard just dip in the pepper EVOO.

For the past 17 years I (my wife for much longer) have been a loyal customer to a fresh off the boat Italian Deli on Balboa in Northridge. Today we cheated on them and visited San Carlo Italian Deli on Mason here in Chatsworth. We have a new favorite deli. From the instant I walked in I saw similarities in the two stores. The brands are the same. The pricing as well. But what stood out without question for me was the quality of the bread (made fresh daily) and the food. This deli serves traditional Italian sandwiches and plates. Their meatballs are to die for, and couple that with Pasqual (the owner served us personally) and the experience is over the top. Which would explain why every dining table both inside and out was taken. The smiles emanating from the other clients let us know we were in for a great experience long before we took our first bite. Shop here or dine here (or do both) either way you are in for a treat. And I now know that while I have a new love, I stayed in the family. Both of these deli’s are operated separately but, owned by the same family.

This place is old school. I've been coming here for somewhere around 30+ years. Its family owned and operated. They are always welcoming. They have amazing food, baked items and a little market. I love coming here and supporting them. They just don't make places like this anymore which makes this place is a real treasure!

San Carlo's is a family Italian deli that been around since 1975. Friendly generous (often handing out samples while you wait) and really fresh. Forget the rest... and go to the best. San Carlos in Chatsworth is the place to go.

Talk about friendly staff, i was there only for few minutes to get lunch with my coworker, and i never felt so welcomed before anywhere else. As for the food it was good, the bread was fresh and delicious, portion wise, its perfect size, my only wish would be if there was more Italian zest in the flavor. But overall it was a great experience

I cannot say enough good things about San Carlos deli. From the family run business to the high quality standards of ingredients, to the wonderful people who treat you like family this place has it all. Two friends and I came and got a half meatball half sausage, San carlos special, and pastrami sandwich. All which I've had and all which are awesome. Ingredients topped high upon fresh bread, you won't be disappointed. They gave us free bread cheese appetizers as well. Their spumoni ice cream is great as well. Deli, sandwiches, icecream, everything you would want.

Hello fam!! I found this Italian Dely, and let me think about my experince today. Delicious pastramy, great cheeses and everything else look fres from scratch. Unfourtanaly, bread has no flavor it can be improved. I defenely coming back for meat and chesese but this time i would have to buy bread elsewhere. Great location, friendly staff, and affordable prices. Recommended.

I had the San Carlo special. It was pretty good. I've had better subs at places like Jersey Mike's. However, San Carlo is very good at its slightly lower price point. I will go back to try some of their more expensive options to see how those compare. I also had some of their pizza bread. The pizza bread is very good, which gives me hope for their pizzas, so I will be trying those out as well and updating my review. I tried this place a couple more times and had the pastrami sandwich and a pepperoni pizza. Once again the sandwich was good, but not great, though I did prefer it over the last sandwich I got. The pizza is great though, well worth the cost.
