Amazing food and service! Been going here for well over a decade and it never misses. I’ve probably had almost every entree but the Mambo Taxi’s are a must and my go to is the Rico Salad with Fajita Beef. Come here for a good time and good food.

Love this Mi Cocina! They have food $10 and up. You get a LOT of food. I normally get the togo and you get a complimentary big bag of tortilla chips+ salsa. When you order online, food is ready FAST! So make sure you are close when you order online. Everytime I go in there, the music is good but not overbearing and customers are smiling. I ordered today too! Never let's me down. God bless you.

The food and service were both excellent. We were seated immediately and the dining room was clean and well managed. We were seated during a rush so our initial service was slower than I like but it picked up. The only poor part of the experience was the music in the dining room. It got much louder at one point and when I asked them to run it down directly they did but not enough for my taste.

We consider Lakeside Mi Cocina as a neighborhood establishment. We have been there countless times. Tonight was special. Of course the food and atmosphere were great but our server was exceptional. We were celebrating a birthday and not only did he honor our requests but did it with such joy and attention. Felipe was our server. I have never had him as a server before. Now…I will ask to sit in his section. Very personable, attentive and just a lot of fun. I sure hope he is always at this location…he is such an added bonus to the Mu Cocina experience!:)

Wow!! What an amazing experience!! Rare top notch customer service!! We absolutely enjoyed every encounter from the hostess stand to the delightful server, Julio and even had great chats with the Manager, Edith! Alejandro the chef even popped by to say Hi and greet us! We started with a delicious appetizer, Cocina Platter which had crunchy toquitos, chunky and tasty quac and velvety queso. Our main course had to be the enchiladas, my husband tried the crunchy ones with pablano crema that was to die for! Ended the night with a smorgasbord of tres leches and coffee- chocolate and vanilla! This specific location has been here since early 2000's and it's definitely stood the test of time! Oh and you cannot forget the nice waterfront patio views! Must try for a date night or just going out with the girls!

Our server, Angel, was absolutely amazing—attentive, kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, full of flavor, and served fresh and hot. Probably the best fajitas I’ve had in a long time. I got the combo chicken and beef and they both melt in your mouth. Both the chicken and beef are perfectly seasoned and so tender. If you’ve ever had tough fajita meat you will appreciate how tender the meat is here. Iced tea is great. My only disappointment was the queso blanco that was pretty bland and on the runny side. Nice looking restaurant and clean.

We went for a family dinner with our senior parents and had a wonderful experience. I tried Pollo Moderno for the first time, and it was delicious. My dad had a beer and the bacon-wrapped shrimp, and he cleaned his plate. He lives at a kosher-style retirement community and got his fix of "traif" to satisfy his cravings - LOL. We will be back for sure!

Mi Cocina is a nice establishment. We went for lunch, but this would also serve as a beautiful date night spot. The food was delicious. The patio is beautiful. The service was attentive and lacked for nothing. I enjoyed everything about this place and would definitely go again. Yum!

I’ve been here a couple of times now - and that’s saying something. The food is tasty, with some great options if you like a bit of heat. The jalapeño margarita is my go-to: simple, sour, spicy, and surprisingly refreshing. Portions are generous, ingredients fresh, and everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious. I’m looking forward to working my way through the rest of the menu. But what really makes this place shine is the service. Anna and Angel are just awesome, as is the rest of the crew. Even though I’d only been there once before, on my second visit I was greeted like an old friend. Simply a great experience all around. I can already tell this will be one of my regular hangouts for Tex-Mex. Keep up the fantastic work! Cheers...Chris

If I could give them a ZERO I would. Terrible experience at Mi Cocina and zero integrity from management. My partner accidentally left her purse outside after dinner. The next morning, we returned and asked the manager to check cameras. He went to the back, came out with a waitress, and claimed the footage showed us leaving with the purse -- a complete lie. Later that day, we returned to request the footage again so we could file a police report (the purse had cash, cards, and a $2,000 bracelet(which is missing)). This time, the GM, Humberto, suddenly appeared holding the purse, saying a busboy "just found it" and it had been in the office. When we got home, we realized how blatantly we'd been lied to. We called to inform Humberto of the false story his employee gave, and his response was, "Well, you have your purse and nothing is missing." How would he even know what was in it? Then he hung up on us. The dishonesty from Humberto, the hostess Angelina, and the first manager we spoke to left a terrible taste in our mouths. Businesses should be held accountable for this kind of behavior. We will never return. We have everything recorded but can't upload because it's too long. I have attached picture of the Manager and Hostess that offered us the lie and the GM that provided us the bag and hung up in our face! We also emailed Corporate as well and hopefully we will hear back from them, because this type of behavior is NOT OKAY!

Basic. Expensive. The highlight of our Mi Cocina takeout delivery was the bag the food came in! Both items ordered were lacking for different reasons, and things missed. The MiCo burrito with fajita chicken cost $24, and was small compared to any other TexMex restaurant's most basic burrito. Nothing fancy in it, just a lot of rice and beans. You get to pick a side salsa which made it a bit more interesting I suppose. But look at the photos... about 6 inches in length and packed with the filler rice/beans. The vegetarian Tacos de Papas... the guajillo sauce didn't have much flavor at all and given the filling is potato and mushroom, flavor is desperately needed. I ordered a side of tomatillo salsa specifically for this dish but it was left off the order. Additionally the way they plated the dish - three tortillas on the bottom, overlapping, then filling poured over the top - made them impossible to eat as the tortilla would tear apart if you tried to pick it up. I'll add that the chips it came with were stale. I've dined in here a few times with friends and found the food to be just okay. This order and experience was a real step down.
