Our experience here was a fantastic one. The service was superb and the food was amazing. We received an education on aged steaks and the differences between what we're used to from a traditional steakhouse and the aged offerings The Knife is known for. We tried an aged steak to experience something different and it was wonderful. While the juice factor on an aged steak isn't there, the tenderness isn't lost. The steak was cooked to perfection and was delicious without the need for over seasoning. There's also a very nice selection of whiskey to choose from and we enjoyed our selections very much. The dessert was amazing as well. Great experience, start to finish.

Probably my fav steak house in DFW. Service is outstanding, steak is cooked to perfect temperature. Cesar salad best thing going. Sides are on point. Very good moderately priced wine on the menu. Highly recommend. Bread service is strong.

Food, service, and atmosphere were exquiste. They even accommodated an earlier time. The steak was very tender and taste was good. Asparagus was great! The red fish filet dish was great with its slight crunchy texture and delicacy along with with accompaniments which enhanced its flavor very well, and could be eaten as a side on its own.

After a night out with my wife at a Candlelight Concert event we decided we wanted to stop for a cocktail. We remembered The Knife and how we always wanted to go. My regret is that we waited this long to give it a try. We loved the atmosphere and the service. Not to mention our espresso and chocolate martinis were excellent. We are already planning a return trip. It is also nice to hear that The Knife will remain open through the Willowbend remodel.

I recently dined at Knife Steakhouse and was blown away by the experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a stylish interior and vibrant ambiance. I ordered the dry-aged strip Creekstone steak with truffle pasta, and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection and the truffle pasta was a delightful complement. The avocado fries were absolutely delightful, the perfect combination of crunchy and fluffy. Honestly, can’t even describe how delicious they tasted. What surprised me most was how affordable it was for the quality. The customer service was phenomenal from start to finish, and the management team was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends; it’s worth more than 5 stars.

A very nice Sunday lunch at Knife in Plano, Texas. I always ask the server for menu suggestions. We were not disappointed. Thank you, Chantelle, for a nice experience at this location.

Food was amazing. Highly recommend the aged steak and the bacon tasting board. Only complaint was the live music was so loud you had to basically yell to try to have a conversation.

First time here with my girlfriend for early valentine's day dinner and it was great. Each steak cooked to perfection. Sides were amazing as well. The Mac and cheese and asparagus were excellent. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the steak, apps and sides. Definitely a great and romantic spot. Will be back again for sure. Thank you for the great evening

We got the 75 day aged steak and 45 day. It was tender, juicy, and adequately aged. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially with the chimmichurri and salsa verde sauces. The service was excellent. The vanilla crème brûlée was delectable. Everything was made to order. Will definitely come back. Thank you!

Fantastic across the board. My guy friends and I went here for a night out and had an incredible experience. Booked online and asked in the booking note for an earlier time. Manager emailed me the same night offering us their smaller private room with designated wait staff...we immediately agreed. Tried flights of bacon, Buffalo Trace products and did a steak flight for our table (45, 90 and 240 day dry aged steaks). Everything was cooked perfectly, staff and management were friendly and attentive while the private room was elegant, yet intimate enough for our group to talk and watch the boxing card for the night. Absolutely going back.

I randomly went to the mall this is located in and wanted a quick bite to eat. Instead of grabbing the usual food court food, my sister and I reviewed the menu located outside and decided to stop in. We shared a wagu burger and after the first bite I ish I’d gotten my own. The burger and fries were phenomenal (super flavorful and cooked perfectly). The establishment is very cute and every member of the staff was friendly and welcoming. I’m looking forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu!

Excellent local spot with impeccable service and quality food. Everything we ordered was tasty and fresh. Our party of four enjoyed steak, sides, and wine. We spent approximately $100 per person.

I’ve been here a few times, and today I finally tried the legendary 240 day dry age. I’ve been a steak lover since I was a kid and I’ve had a lot of good steaks over the years, but dry-aging is a relatively new experience for me, and there’s nothing like it. If you’re a carnivore and a steak lover, dry-aged steak is a must try. Get a 45 day ribeye and share it with a friend. These are stellar steaks that, in my opinion, blow the competition out of the water in the dry-aging arena. So far I’ve tried the 45, 120 and now the 240, and I’m hooked. It’s immensely flavorful, the aroma is striking, and the crisp and punch of the outside of the steak is just pure bliss. If you’re not big into dry aging, they have a killer pork belly and plenty of other awesome culinary experiences, but the thing that really sets Knife apart from other DFW fare is that outstanding dry-aged flavor. I will say this: don’t try the 240 by yourself. Share it with a few friends. It’s a unique meal and it deserves to be shared (and you can split the check!) Love this place and continue to be impressed.

We had a awesome night. My steak was amazing! The sides were very good and portions were plentiful for two. I had a Manhattan and it was perfectly maid, matter of fact best I've had in Texes. The service was spot on, being that we were in a private room it made it much more personalized and the Manger came and spoke with us for quite sometime. The evening was topped off by an amazing b-day cake that was given by the knife. It looked good but it taste even better. Kudos to the staff and chef who took good care of our party the night of 4/3/22.

One of the best reasons to come to dallas, simply for knife. This place has ruined at stake for me gor life, because i've never experienced the same quality dry aged steak anywhere else. Service is fantastic and all reasonably priced.

bacon sampler YES PLEASE !! had a great time start to finish at knife, the staff was really accommodating and helped us reserve a room for an event. they managed a large group greatly and recommended portions they have dried aged meats up to 45 days old, 5 kinds of bacon and a lot of delightful bites. I had the Shanghai lobster but I think I liked the appetizers the most

Came here for the first time a few weeks back and I must say - great food, beautiful ambiance, and a true royal dine in. I was super impressed with the quality of everything!!! We ordered a Fillet mignon, Mac&cheese, and fries! 🤤 SOOO good! Food was definitely worth the price and I must say this is a new date night option from now on. 🥰🔥

Awesome aged beef, attentive service, good wine list. We shared a 22oz 45 day aged strip steak between 3 of us and it was ample, as the sides were very generous. The Oregon Pinot Noir went better than expected, although a little on the pricey side with restaurant mark-up

I had the ribeye, and it was absolutely fantastic! Our waiter Chris, was amazing and attentive. I finished every bite, and the ambience of the restaurant was perfect. If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would. I highly recommend!

Knife came very highly recommended and now I know why. Service: excellent. Bartender was extremely knowledgeable with regards to the menu while providing excellent-truthful recommendations. Drinks: decent selection of whiskey. Even better selection of wine (glass/half-bottle/full bottle). The wine glasses are the round (no stem) type. Personally not a fan but No biggie. Food: Absolutely amazing. The steak was just crisp enough on the outside and perfectly juicy thru the final bite. The steak just melts in your mouth. The sides were plentiful so next time I’ll order a bit less. Mushrooms were very good but the Mac and cheese was just ok. The carpaccio was a great start to the meal. A deliciously light starter that did not overpower the forthcoming main course. Complimentary small dessert tasting was a perfect ending. Will definitely be back!

Came to eat there unexpectedly. This place was amazing, the meatballs, the jalapeno soup, and the salmon was one of the best I have had since moving from Los Angeles/Las Vegas. I want to return for a date night with friends a must.

It was a special dinner date and we loved everything about it! We tried from their Exotic selections of dry age steaks. Had 90 day dry age bone-in ribeye and also Akaushi steak along with greens and mac n cheese, followed with chocolate ganache mousse with strawberry sorbet. They have a wide range wine variety too!!

A

Yes, they have TV’s with the game on! From the moment you walk in, you’ll be greeted with an amazing sense of calm and hospitality well above even the best in the area. Every moment is catered to you, even choosing breads and plating options for your choice of steak. I went with the ribeye, and was not disappointed at all. Not only Was the outside the exact level of crisp, but the meat itself was so well cooked I was left wondering how they were able to achieve such a high level of perfection, even on a nonchalant fall Sunday evening. The servers and hosts genuinely aim to please, with an authentic level of care and attention to detail that will rival even NY’s finest eateries. Amazing all around.

Walked in for an early dinner and sat at the bar. The bartender, Umit, was exceptional—he knew the menu inside and out and even shared the stories behind each drink. On his recommendation, I ordered the 45-day dry-aged NY strip with asparagus, and it was phenomenal. He also made me a craft cocktail with his own house-made syrups, aromatics, and dehydrated fruits—hands down one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. Outstanding food, drinks, and service. Knife Steakhouse exceeded my expectations!

I don’t usually make a review but wow. I am beyond satisfied. Thank you Jason, our server for providing wine recommendations that paired well with our food, and guiding us through the menu. Everything was 10/10 and I will be back for date night. The intimate atmosphere is exactly what you’re looking for!!

I have frequented Knife Steakhouse in Plano on several occasions, and each visit has consistently left me impressed and satisfied. From the moment you step into the restaurant, the experience is always outstanding. One aspect that sets Knife Steakhouse apart from other establishments is their impeccable service, and my recent encounter with Noela, our server, only reinforced this notion. Noela was an absolute delight, displaying professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuine passion for her job. She guided us through the menu, provided insightful recommendations, and ensured that every detail of our dining experience was taken care of. Noela's warm personality and knowledge of the menu added a personal touch to the evening, making our visit all the more memorable. The ambiance of Knife Steakhouse contributes to the overall allure of the establishment. The interior exudes sophistication, with its modern decor and comfortable seating arrangements. The dim lighting creates an intimate atmosphere, perfect for a romantic dinner or a celebratory gathering.

Knife is on of the best if not the best steakhouse I've ever been to and I travel a lot. George (Manager) gave our guests a great tour of the fridge with all of the aged steak cuts. I highly recommend Knife Restaurant.

I am a vegetarian and this is my favorite restaurant. My husband is a discerning carnivore and it is his favorite restaurant. The food quality is outstanding. For me, they have a cauliflower steak that is delicious. My husband say that the Knife Plano does the best job of cooking steaks of anyone around. The onion rings are worth every calorie. The service is top notch. James is our favorite waiter, but all of the waiters are excellent and greet us warmly every time. Grant and George make us feel at home every time we visit - we were there 2x in less than 24 hours yesterday due to family requests. The photo is of the wonderful dessert that James brought us last night to celebrate our anniversary with our family. I highly recommend Knife Plano.

What a great place. Located just inside Willow bend Mall, this is one of the top ranked steakhouses in the DFW area. The server is so knowledgeable and explains the dishes so well. Fully stocked bar with some of the best wine in town. We ducked in here on a stormy night and were delighted..

Wow! What an experience! Hubby and I ventured to Knife restaurant after hearing so many good things about it. We were also in the mood to try dry-aged steak for the first time. So glad we came here! We were served by a staff of first class gentlemen. Each courteous, kind and knowledgeable. We started our evening with an appetizer which reminded us of a bacon flight. Called the Bacon Tasting of Five Varieties. The varieties ranged from sweet to smoked and came paired with a bacon jam. Excellent recommendations were made by our server. For our entree we decided to go with the 90-day aged 22oz strip steak from 44 Farms. The chef recommended to order the steak medium rare, which is something my husband and I generally don't order. However, I'm glad we did!! Something we were not aware of with dry-aged steak is that the aging process creates flavorful crust around the steak that keeps the flavor in, but drys out the outter layer. So with the steak being cooked to medium rare, the steak came out perfect! For sides we had the Johnny's Mac and Cheese with Bacon Bread Crumbs and Roasted Baby Carrots. The size of the sides were plenty for sharing. We also ordered dessert, and were delightfully surprised with and an after dinner treat provided courtesy of the restaurant; which we saved for later. We will definitely be back!

This restaurant emulates a good example of fine dining. We do not have any reservation but we were accommodated accordingly. We tried the aged 32 oz steak and damn was so good! We will definitely come back and try the other aged steaks! Service was top notch and manager even asked us to text him next time if we need a table.

Sexy and swanky atmosphere with the best steak I’ve had in the Dallas area. Incredible Filet with peppercorn crust I must recommend!! Our server was knowledgeable about wine recommendations and food choices. Everything is made in house and sourced locally. So good! 10/10

This place is hands down one as our favorite. And let me tell you, we always prefer sitting at the bar so Umit can personally take care of us—he turns an ordinary day into an unforgettable dining experience. His drinks are one-of-a-kind, and the consistency in the flavors and the meat cuts is absolutely top-notch. We love it, they’re simply the best.

Having dinner here is certainly a 5 star experience. Steaks are amazing as well as the pastas. The Caesar salad was one of the best I’ve ever had. The menu offers a great variety of items, particularly steaks. They source their steaks from multiple farms, including halal selections for anyone interested.

This place is not busy at all for the weekday lunch. We had a 45 days dry aged creekstone strip and a wedge salad to share. It’s a perfect amount for 2 ladies to celebrate the birthday. Steak was very well cooked and sliced for us to share and cream brûlée was complimentary. They are both delicious. The waiter is very friendly and professional. This place is highly recommended. I’m hoping more people will come to keep their business running

I’m in love with the ambience! The warm lighting and sophisticated decor created the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. And the food was perfection! My steak was cooked exactly as ordered – a juicy medium-rare – and the presentation was truly decadent. Each element on the plate was thoughtfully placed, a testament to the chef’s artistry. We also indulged in the truffle pasta, and it was heavenly. The earthy aroma of the truffles infused every bite, complementing the perfectly al dente pasta. And let’s not forget the delicious sides! Each one was a flavorful complement to our meal. I’m already looking forward to coming back again soon. This restaurant has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite places!

Just stopped in for a sandwich at lunchtime. This meal was transcendent. I cannot think of another word to use. Corned beef sandwich with onion rings. Let’s start with the onion rings first. They were thick cut and lightly battered. Must have been a corn meal batter. Far and away the best onion rings I’ve had in Dallas. See the pictures. Just perfect, each and every one. They could have been a meal in themselves. The Corned Beef Sandwich. Not some greasy, messy sauerkraut and cheap 1000 island dressing. In fact the dressing was on the side. The sauerkraut wasn’t too sour. The balance between the ingredients was just spot on perfect. Rye bread toasted perfectly…marble rye at that. The restaurant’s interior was nicely decorated. I love the ceiling. Chairs are comfortable, and all in all it is a great restaurant. Parking couldn’t be easier since this restaurant is in the mall. Def, def, definitely will be back for more.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I celebrated my 25th birthday at Knife last night, and have not one single complaint. The food, exceptional. The staff, amazing. The atmosphere, perfect. It was just a fantastic night. I went with my fiancé and parents. My mom got salmon, I and my dad got a 10oz. filet mignon, and my fiancé got the 24oz. ribeye. We also got a few sides for the table: mac & cheese, grilled asparagus, and onion rings. My fiancé and I also started off with side Caesar salads. My steak was delicious. Cooked perfectly, a perfect slice of meat. My dad loved his as well. My mom raved about her salmon. My fiancé’s steak was super good too, and he had plenty for leftovers. The asparagus was great, the onion rings were on freakin’ point. The mac & cheese was spoken of very highly by my dad, who ate all of it, lol! Oh and the biscuits that came out before the food, WOW. I wanted to eat ten of them. The Caesar salads was easily one of the best I’ve ever eaten. I also loved the cocktails I got: the Tiki off their drink menu, and a lemon drop made with Tito’s. For my birthday dessert, I got the Chocolate, hazelnut, blood orange dessert. It was the PERFECT end to the night. So so so so good! And then they even sent us home with freshly baked muffins! I had one after we arrive home, and wow. Just wow. Then there was our waiter, Devin. He was fantastic. So attentive and personable. He really helped make the entire experience one-of-a-kind. The manager (I’m guessing) George (I think was his name, I’m terrible with names), was outstanding. He made multiple appearances at our table, and was so kind. Thank you so much for a wonderful birthday, you have helped me start off age 25 perfectly! I would definitely come back again and again.

First time diner. We had the 45 day aged Ribeye for 2- Amazing. The bacon appetizer and bone marrow with caviar were delish. The attention by all service members was phenomenal but our lead server, Jordan, was truly top notch. Will definitely return.

Casual, open concept dining room in a mall. Nicely decorated. Nice, balanced wine list and cocktail menu. The central bar is welcoming with an experienced bartender that expertly prepared our classic Kir Royal(s) with Creme de Cassis just like the book! Excellent, interesting and different menu (that changes from what is on line) with a heavy concentration on aged Ribeye steaks. So different and refreshing, albeit expensive, from the usual steakhouses. 44, 90 & 240 day dry aged steaks as well as Wagyu and wet aged from named farms, some even Halal. 240 day dry aged Carpaccio was a treat. "Funky" and tasty. The "Grilled Big Short Rib" melted in the mouth though it was a little oversalted and missing a nice reduction. The Strip steaks were very tasty with a satisfying chew. For sides the Mushrooms were exceptional in the reduction that I missed in my Short rib. The Okra was interesting with a hint of bacon, though stringy. We tried all 4 'work of art' desserts. Very interesting deconstructed versions. So Yummy The meal ended with Mignardises of a muffin, jellied fruit bite and poppy seed cookie. I would've preferred an Amuse-bouche. Our server, Christian, was great and very knowledgeable of the menu and it's ingredients. Kudos This is definitely on my very short list of restaurants to return to. Thank you Chef Tesar 😁

We were in town for a wedding and wanted to eat somewhere nice before heading back home. Knife was everything we could have wished for and more. For appetizers, we had the bacon jam sliders and yellowtail crudo. It was about this time we were offered bread service. You have the choice of 5 or 6 different breads; each are so delicious. What an opener to our meal. Each of these were absolutely amazing and bursting with flavor. Our group of four also split two salads, the caesar and the arugula. Both were very good. Our mains ranged from pasta bolognese, lamb, strip, and ribeye. Each of these were so perfectly cooked and seasoned. As for sides, we split the creamed spinach, mac and cheese, and brussel sprouts with cauliflower. The sides were excellent as well. Dessert. We enjoyed the banana bourbon masterpiece as well as the chocolate hazelnut and blood orange mousse plate. SO GOOD. Long story short.... If we find ourselves in Plano again. We will definitely be visiting Knife again. The experience was nothing short of perfect and we will be recommending this restaurant to everyone we know heading that direction.

Private party, we had our own service crew. They were attentive and available at all times. Food was on point. The fillet was exquisite, the temp, the flavors omg. They also served salmon which was perfectly cooked and seemed. Highly recommend to anyone feeling they need to treat themselves.

We love this restaurant!!! Steak Knife serves high quality dry aged beef. It is more expensive than many steak houses but definitely worth the splurge. The taste and texture of the meat are amazing. Every time my husband finishes he steak he says “I wish there were more”. Menu I like the dinner menu better than the lunch menu as there more selections. You also get a crudites when you sit down which is a refreshing way to start the meal. They provide a bread selection and even give you muffins at the end of the meal for you breakfast the next day. That being said I’ve had some enjoyable lunches here as well. If you’re not in the mood for steak go for the pimento grilled cheese sandwich which is delicious. We shared it as a side to our steak which made for a very big but delicious meal. The prices on the burgers and sandwiches for lunch are quite good. Besides the steak they also have some delicious sides. Their corn dishes are amazing. The corn risotto had a great combination of textures and a really fresh flavor. Surprisingly, I was wowed by the grilled baby carrots. I didn’t expect much from a carrot dish but was loved their great texture and flavor. I’m not really a fan of their mac and cheese but prefer their homemade pasta in a truffle cream sauce. They have a nice wine menu and are very helpful providing selections that fit your taste. We’ve discovered several wines that were new to us and we really enjoy. Service Impeccable service. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They answer all our questions and check to make sure you’re enjoying your meal but don’t hover. They even managed to keep my water glass full, which is a feat with the way I drink water. The restaurant is well decorated and comfortable. I’ve seen people dressed in everything from formal attire to t-shirts and all were treated with respect. It’s nice to be able to enjoy a great meal in the clothes you feel good in and not feel over or under dressed.

First time out for restaurant week and had the best time. Steak was perfection. Jalapeño soup was spicy as hell and the consensus was it would be absolute fire with Torchy's queso. We took home to experiment, it did not dissappoint. Even the Dr Pepper was top shelf.

What refreshing service! My buddy & I met here on a Sunday evening recently & we were not the only diners, but were treated as if we were. If you're not familiar with the mall, it might be a bit tricky to find, but when I called for directions from Dillards' parking lot, they were nice enough to stay on the phone with me until I made it (about 100 yards, lol). We ate out on the patio for some fresh air & to ensure we dined safely. But not to worry, the place was definitely a safe place to eat. I waited at the bar & was happy to find they carried my fave Scotch - the 12yr old Dalmore. Neither of us were that hungry - we basically met to exchange gifts & have a drink - so we shared a delicious wedge to begin with. Yummy dressing and big serving. We decided to share a 10oz filet mignon with butternut squash. I have to say the portions were great & the filet was mouth-watering, cooked perfectly, with perfect flavoring & no marbling. The butternut squash was served hot, cooked to perfection and the flavoring was awesome. Just because I love ordering creme brulee, I added that while we sipped our wine (a lovely Portuguese blend). It was my least favorite part of our meal, but I was pleasantly surprised when our server brought us a little treat at the end! Our visit was made memorable by our service - both from the manager - who spoke to us several times, and the bartender who doubled as our server. I hope to return soon when the weather is warmer & enjoy another fabulous meal.

Sunday brunch and everything was delicious. The service was excellent. We had the scrambled eggs and cheese grits, a western omelette, and steak and eggs. All were cooked perfectly. The addition of scones and muffins topped off the meal. We will definitely be back and look forward to trying the dinner entrees.

We went to celebrate our anniversary and Knife Steakhouse took care of us. Relaxing, chill atmosphere. If you love bacon highly recommend the bacon board, each piece has it's unique flavor and the Jam on the side was sweet. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and Salmon was delicious.

We waited at the bar for our group to arrive. The bartender was busy but attentive. Umit was our primary waiter but the whole team seemed to support him well. He did an excellent job so much so I mention him here by name- unusual for me. I asked our six guest what they thought too and am integrating that here as well. The food quality, preparation and presentation was everything a 5 star experience should be. Hot, moist, fully developed and a great presentation. We shared family style. Out of our group I was the only one who thought one particular item was over salted. I will take that to mean it wasn't. We had short rib, rib eye, sweet potato rossetto, butternut squash, and marinated mushrooms. Steak tartare ... I could go on. All courses were crafted not "cooked." They really really got it right!

Such a Fabulous Restaurant and not just your ordinary steakhouse. Definitely a Great place to have an upscale meal with exceptional service. We visited this location for lunch and did not choose steak but what we did Order was the yellowtail with grapefruit and avocado appetizer to start with and I ordered their Ruben with a side of salsa verde fries because they make their pastrami in-house and it was absolutely delicious. My sweetheart he ordered their Lamb meatball sub with onion rings and that was also flavorful with the perfect amount of marinara that did not over power the moist lamb meat balls That did not have a gaminess flavor they were surely To die for! Thank you Knife for a Great lunch experience!

UNBELIEVABLE!! Truly one of the greatest dining experiences! I got the short rib and it was potentially the greatest dish I’ve ever had in my life. My husband got the bone in ribeye and it was also phenomenal! We got the bacon tasting board, the desserts were wonderful, sides, and service! Just all around a wonderful experience!

If you are a bacon fan, go for the bacon sampler and enjoy the opening to a good meal. The beef rib was excellent, packed with flavor! Talkative waiter who came by often. Lunch time was rather slow with almost no crowd.

11/19/21-This was a special dinner at a special restaurant. They are known for their aged steaks and they don’t disappoint. The steaks are flavorful and melt in your mouth. The service was top notch and the servers are knowledgeable and helpful. They know that they have something unique and they all want to share it with you. They have an extensive wine list, fresh baked breads, bacon sampler, and incredible steaks. It is expensive, but leaves one feeling that it was all worth the price. If you find yourself in Plano and want to have a truly great dinner, I highly recommend Knife. 4/22- We returned for a birthday dinner and tried the 240 day dry aged 44 Farms bone in strip. Superb! We also had the 5 varieties of bacon tasting. I still highly recommend this restaurant.

We came from canada, and were looking to eat somewhere that served halal steaks and ribs, came across Knife steakhouse… the atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was amazing… must try… the service was excellent, the server would come and ask if we needed anything, or had an questions… amazing place will definitely come back again when in town. Thumbs up👍🏻the deserts were amazing as well, and the gift at the end was really nice🥰

This was only our second visit to Knife of Plano. Our first visit was shortly after the restaurant opened. I don’t know why we waited so long to return. Knife is an upscale but casual steakhouse serving beautifully plated but generous portions of exquisite American (maybe Southern American) cuisine. Our reservations were for a Saturday night. It was not as busy as I remember but I am sure it was because we were there the Saturday before Memorial Day. Before we began, our server brought a vegetable and dip plate. Another server brought bread. We decided to try the Charcuterie Board for an appetizer (photo shows what was left of the board and grilled bread after most was devoured). An excellent choice and a large serving. We could have had that in lieu an entree. But we did not stop there. My husband ordered the Center Cut Bone-In Pork Chop (the biggest pork chop ever seen) and I ordered the Fresh Red Snapper. Both were delicious. The pork chop was served with collard greens and the snapper was served with asparagus and fingerling potatoes with a lemon butter sauce. While the sides looked good (they had okra!) I recommend considering the entree portion size. We did not order sides and still took a lot home. We were celebrating our anniversary so we ordered a creme brûlée to share. Delicious, the way crème brûlée should taste. When I made the reservation, I indicated that we were celebrating our anniversary. The hostess wished us a happy anniversary and there was a greeting card at our table. Our server, Trevor, wished us a happy anniversary and it was Trevor that truly made the night special. We loved the ambience of the restaurant, the artwork, and the music, but Trevor made the restaurant shine. He was so attentive, friendly, and happy to explain our meal, such as the various meats on our charcuterie board. For that reason alone, we will be back. We decided to celebrate our anniversary at Knife because the restaurant was one of the sponsors of Taste of Plano 2024, a fundraiser for the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation. It is important to us to patronize businesses that give back to the community. For that reason, and the wonderful evening we had, we highly recommend Knife for a memorable dining experience. Come hungry since the portions are generous if not huge.

🔥 Steak night done right at Knife Steakhouse. Tonight’s dinner was on another level — perfectly charred cuts, buttery-soft centres, rich bone marrow, and sides that actually stand out. The roasted mushrooms were insane, the carrots were sweet with a little caramelization, and every plate was crafted with serious care. Knife Steakhouse is the kind of place that reminds you why great food is an experience, not just a meal. Exceptional service, beautiful plating, and flavours that hit exactly where they should. If you’re a steak lover, put this spot on your list. 🔥🥩

This was one of the best dining experiences of my life! Food is just at another level here. The bacon tasting board is a must, thanks to our attentive waiter for making that recommendation. We had one of their 45-day dry aged steaks, OMG!!! It was so juicy and tasty. We also loved the cocktails and the Crème brûlée. I highly recommend this place, but be ready for a heavy check.

What a lovely evening we had at Knife. We came for a special occasion, the night before our wedding. They were so nice and gave us a glass of champagne. We had such an incredible time and are looking forward to our next visit. Thank you!!

Let me start by saying WOW. This place was fantastic all the way around. Our waiter Chris was very knowledgeable on all the food and drinks. There wasn't a question we could ask him that he didn't have the answer to. I was celebrating my 30th wedding anniversary and this was the perfect place to go. George is the owner of Knife. He came by the table to talk for a little bit. You can certainly tell that he truly cares about his customers. This is just a way for him to make money. It is a way for him to enjoy what he does and see all the happy customers as they enjoy the atmosphere of his place. I would certainly recommend this place for a great steak and environment. This is one of the best experiences I have ever had at a high end steak house and I have been to quite a few of them. Please go here and ask for Chris. He will make sure that when you leave feel 100% satisfied.

We came expecting a unique flavor experience at Chef Tesar’s KNIFE and we walked away satisfied. - The best of the night was the Yellowfin. That’s one of those flavor combination discoveries that works in so many ways. It’s a can’t miss. - The Cream of Jalapeño soup was refined, deep, rustic, homey, complex, and delightfully inviting. Another can’t miss dish. - I didn’t know what to expect from dry aged beef. Now that I do; I can appreciate it for what it is. The meat from 44 farms is premier so you start with an excellent product. The dry age treatment concentrates the beef flavor and sacrifices moisture by design. I know now that I prefer the juice to the concentrated flavor. The 90-day 22 oz bone-in New York strip was our choice for the evening. - Cheese board, great. Tea Rose and a tasty smoked Spanish cheese were both fun to taste. - Lobster and corn risotto, great. - Wedge salad, really good but maybe too bleu for my taste. - Chocolate and Coffee dessert, amazing. - Service was relaxed, well informed, helpful, efficient, and kind. They elevated our meal.

Love coming here for the lunch specials, surprisingly the burger is the best thing I have had! A really fun atmosphere love the bar seating. My husband’s first time trying Pappy was at this bar and it was a fun memory we will always have. The mashed potatoes at dinner are literal perfection, and of course the filet was amazing as well. This is an incredible spot for a nice dinner or date night, you will not be disappointed in the service or food.

We went to Knife to celebrate my husband’s birthday after searching recommendations for best steak in Dallas on Reddit, and the redditors were right! Everything was delicious, service was great, and the ambiance was on point. I loved the different options of bread before the meal, too. We sat near the kitchen and were impressed with how quiet it was. Knife is easily the best place we’ve eaten in Dallas thus far and we will definitely be back.

From the moment we walked in, the service was first-class — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. The steaks were next-level — perfectly aged, beautifully seared, and full of rich flavor you only get from true craftsmanship. Every side and cocktail complemented the meal perfectly. The atmosphere is upscale yet relaxed, making it perfect for date night, business dinners, or celebrating something special. You can tell Chef John Tesar and the team take real pride in what they do. Plano is lucky to have a spot like this — easily one of the best steakhouses in Texas!

Knife promises a lot and they deliver quite a lot. The dry aged steaks are their specialty, but their dishes are definitely of a shareable style. Opt for the 45-day to keep it safe but the 240-day is a nice experience. Pastas are great as well, generous portions and nice ambience. Recommended.

Halal options here include the fish-based meal - a recommendation is the line caught salmon. Ordered this well done and it was crusty at the top and well cooked inside - tastes amazing. Didn’t try the mac and cheese but I heard it was good. Had a taste of late spring tulip and it was good too. The meat may not be halal or kosher - so I’ll recommend to ask. The ambience was nice - given that we had a private dinner arrangement. The service was a bit slow though but not sure if it was because of the arrangement, so I may be wrong.

Every month me and two girlfriends find a unique restaurant that promises great food, good wine and atmosphere. Knife boasts delicious food, decent service and the atmosphere was...just ok. We dined on a Thursday and quite frankly provided all the atmosphere with our fun-loving vibe...per usual. My friends had steak while I opt for the branzino (broiled, whole). Our food was good but due to the average service and atmosphere not sure I'll return any time soon.

Took my Bambina here for Valentine’s Day! Very nice restaurant and attentive professional staff! The Bacon Sampler App was very very good! Old Fashioned Cocktail hit the spot! 45 Day Dry Aged Okuashi Ribeye was 8/10 but for the price was hoping for 9+/10. Mac & Cheese side dish as well as the Brussels/Cauliflower were 9+/10! Overall experience was pretty good but for the cost was hoping to be blown away!

Made a reservation for 20:30, and we were greeted and seated immediately. I had chosen the counter seats, and we were directly in front of the grill. A great place to be. The crudites were fresh, and the dip delicious. We did not order any starters, as we wanted to fully enjoy the steak. We ordered the Creekstone 45 day long bone ribeye, and asked for it medium rare. Also ordered mac 'n cheese, mushrooms, and creamed spinach as sides. The steak did arrive as rare, which i enjoyed, but my wife just ate the outer part. It was well plated, and seasoned nicely. The sides were well presented and flavourful. We also shared a dessert with ginger crumble that was the perfect size to round the meal off. Our waiter Joao, was quick, unobtrusive, and knowledgeable. Prices are what you would expect for a higher end steak restaurant. All of the exotic aged steaks were to share. I can recommend getting the counter seating if you want to enjoy the show. John Tesar was in the kitchen and ran a commanding performance.

We went her to celebrate V Day, but it was the weekend after so we could avoid the packed house. We really enjoyed the food. My favorite part was the drinks. I'm not a big fan of aged steaks but they made a believer out of me! I highly recommend this place. I'm giving 4 stars because my steak wasn't cooked to my exact preferences but it still hit the spot. 🤠

It was me and my mom's first experience here. The service was pretty good although our server didn't want able to hear me well the first time. Plus, the music wasn't too loud either so we didn't have to scream to be heard. We ordered the soup and a burger and shared between the two of us since we weren't too hungry. They even offered to split the burger and soup in half for us! The food wasn't what we were expecting but it was still pretty good regardless. I especially enjoyed the burger they made with steak meat instead of the typical ground meat which made it even juicier and tastier!

The Knife is a beautiful restaurant, we enjoyed dinner there. The oysters are quite fresh and lobster is well-cooked. However the special ribeye here is kind of dry and not quite my taste, and the soup they give us is boiling-hot.

Very very solid. Ordered the 45 day dry aged 32 ounce ribeye. You pay a premium here but the food is cooked right and it has a nice ambiance/atmosphere. Wasn't busy at all when I went.

I had a great first time experience at Knife. Our server James treated us very well. He was attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. I had the flank steak and Mac and cheese and a pineapple martini to drink. Everything was delicious. We even had this fresh veggies and dip to nibble on at the table. The presentation was everything. I definitely recommend going to Knife for a nice date night or girls night out.

Went here looking for a good steak and was not disappointed. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. We also had the salmon and apples appetizer and was not disappointed. The service was also impressive. The cocktails were strong and well made. I would say well worth the $$ you spend. I would for sure return.

My husband and I went here for a celebratory date night after getting married. The atmosphere was exquisite with live jazz, dim, moody lighting, and friendly and helpful servers. We ordered the bacon jam sliders as an appetizer after the complimentary bread and vegetables tray, which were phenomenal. We also had the 45-day dry aged bone-in ribeye steak, which was delicious and crispy, but we unimpressed with the quality to price ratio. We ordered sides too, specifically the Mac n cheese, salsa verde fries, and asparagus, which were beautiful, but very mediocre in their flavor profile. Overall I’d say this restaurant is beautifully crafted in its atmosphere, service, and style, but the food lacks depth in flavor.

Went for the Thanksgiving meal. The food was pretty good. The service was great, tapered off pretty quickly as more people started showing up. The food presentation was spot on. Only thing we ordered off the menu was the shrimp cocktail and it was perfect. The shrimp was delicious. Firm but not chewy at all. I can't comment on the rest of the regular menu. Everything sounds amazing and judging by the shrimp, it's probably just as good.

We were so excited to try this place out during the restaurant week. Upon walking in no one was at the host stand. Then a lady showed up to greet us and sat us down to find that she would be our server. Not very happy looking, unifor had stains and just seemed off. OK. Lets move on. Restaurant week menu was a disappointment. I mean presentation was OK but food was just bland. Caesar salad had way too much parmesean cheese. Soup was soo hot you can melt your spoon in it. Appetizer Brussels sprouts with cauliflower was tasteless and just bland. Steak sandwich tasted like days old strips of steak reheated in microwave. It was so dry I took 1 bite and that was that... fish was cooked OK but again no flavor.... We were really rooting for this place to be good so that with the willow bend mall closing down it would survive.. I would hope they would add some lunch menu options and really make it through this hard times..

Went a couple weeks back, was actually trying to go to a different restaurant but hey they were full and I knife wasn't. Got sited quickly but service was slow. Drinks and food also took awhile got told like 30mins for food to be served after we placed, Ended up more like 50min wait. Vibe dead for a weekend,as seen in the pictures🤷🏼‍♂️. Food was actually very delicious as were a couple of the cocktails we ordered. Would maybe go again but not highly.

The steak was good, not great. It needed a little more salt, but was cooked well. The fries were perfect! The $9 okra was sad, slimy, and… limp. It was pretty bad for this okra lover. There are ways to cook okra, and ways not to cook okra. Do not cook okra this way! The biscuits were delightful! The restaurant was hard to find. It was nice, but not exceptional. I like a warm cozy, comfortable feel. This was more modern, which probably works for most people. My knife kept falling into my plate due to the shape of each. That was not so cool. The service was just okay. I tipped 20%. It was pretentious all around. I think you can get better food, better service, and a better experience elsewhere.

Came in for lunch with my daughter and was slightly disappointed. I’ve come on multiple different occasions and this place is still consistently mediocre for the pricing. The staff was attentive but not proactive. My daughter got a steak and it was super heavy on the salt , possibly a line cook made it since it seemed to be during the lunch to dinner rotation of staff. I ordered a Hamburger which came just as a plain hamburger. Had I known nothing came on it I would have order the normal condiments to accompany the burger. I will say that tomato soup was at least top 5 on my list of best places to get a soup. I want to like this place because of the reputation but this place just comes up short every visit.

Let me start by saying the petite filet was spot on. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. I am as truly disappointed in the mac n cheese..noodles over cooked, the taste bland. Pm me for my hubby's recipe 😊 it's way better. Our server who was new served our cappacino cold .and he cleared our wine decanter without asking if we cared for more or anything else.. we enjoyed the cheese board the wedge salad.. steak and finale creme brulee.. meh... It's ok.

Overall an ok experience I guess. This was my first visit to this location, I typically go to there one on Mockingbird. - Meat quality as always was 5 out of 5 stars. - meat temperature 3 out of 5, my wife and I both ordered the cowboy cut ribeyes medium, mine was perfect, my wife's was rare. Sent it back to cook again and was better after, although the middle still a bit rare and outside a bit overdone. - ordered the mac and cheese side, mediocre at best. Reminded me of Kraft box mac and cheese, mild in flavor, definitely not worth the money. - bread - had the sourdough and a biscuit, both were great. This was my first time having a biscuit at Knife, was delicious. - service 4/5, not the most attentive, had to track down the waiter to send the steak back. Didn't offer a discount for the inconvenience of the steak, also didn't ask how the meal was. Overall experience, meh.

The ambiance of the restaurant and the servers were nice, but the biggest issue was the taste of the food. The restaurant gives a strong impression of specializing in steak and meat, starting with its name. The walls are adorned with pictures and artwork of cows, and there’s even a sign that says ‘Meatopia.’ However, the steak had a strong gamey smell, which was so off-putting that I had to smother it in sauce just to eat it. While the cooking itself was fine, I was left disappointed by the lack of freshness or proper aging of the meat. I’ve been trying various restaurants during DFW Restaurant Week, but the food here was truly underwhelming. I also wouldn’t recommend the wine pairing. The Pinot Noir served with the appetizer and the red wine with the entrée both lacked depth and were overly acidic. The spaghetti was decent, but it’s something you could easily make at home with quality ingredients. Overall, while the server was adequate and the restaurant’s atmosphere pleasant, the disappointing food means I won’t be returning.

The atmosphere of Knife was very cool. We stumbled in after noticing the Live Jazz sign next to the front of a recently abandoned mall. This may be the only place in Plano, Texas where you can hear live jazz music, so I had to take my wife inside. We had drinks and the cheese plate appetizer, which were great, but the service is what stuck out. The restaurant was not very busy for a Friday night, and despite that, I felt like the bartender did not want us there. I guess the feeling of being unwanted is what stuck out the most for me. I would love to see an improvement in hospitality in this respect in the near future.

The food was horrible. I wouldnt have thought twice if we were a dive bar, but its not. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff was wonderful, but the food was not worth the price or the trip. Not only way the food bad -except the steak- Everyone in my party had a stomach ache after.

Went there to treat myself after a harsh day. Sat at the bar as i am often solo. I should have assessed the emptiness of the restaurant before commiting to dine. There were 3 other people at the bar. Bread boy looked right though me as he entertained a gentle 2 seats away from me. 2 more times we walked by me as if the barstool was empty. I ordered Filet Oscar and the lunch sized plate arrived with a naked filet. Rather than taking the entree nack to the kitchen the bartender asked if i wanted "oscar sauce" . He returned from the kitchen with a ramekin and asked if I wanted him to "throw it on there.". I chose to pour it myself and the bearnaise sauce was broken. The filet was perfectly cooked but the meal was already ruined. One and done - never again. Oh yeah, the doily under the ramekin was a cutup piece of an old menu. tacky, tacky tacky.

Summary: I've been to steakhouses that serve flavorful cuts, that know how to cook their steaks, fairly priced, and with a fine dining atmosphere and service. This is not one of them. The ugly: Our 32oz 45-day dry aged bone-in ribeye ordered medium rare. I was expecting a melt-in-your-mouth steak, but it was not properly seasoned, not that flavorful and cooked all over the place. Some sections where medium well, the rest was medium at best. I know is not easy to cook bone-in steaks, but we are at a highly priced place with proper chefs, not good. The bad: Brussel sprouts and cauliflower, it was dry roasted, no fat, no seasoning, no sauce. The good: The bacon tasting and the super creamy, fluffy mashed potatoes. Lastly, 95% of their wine selection was on a three-digit price range. Call me cheap, but I'm not a fan of paying that much for a bottle of wine, I don't mind paying that much for a good, fancy, well prepared, flavourful meal, though. This was not one of those. Quite a disappointment.

DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY HERE. Had such high hopes for this place. My husband and I were ao excited to treat ourselves to a special anniversary dinner and we were so disappointed in the food. The restaurant, ambiance and host were very nice and professional. The bacon sampler appitizer with 5 strips of bacon and bacon jam was the best thing we had.🥓 except the waiter touched a piece of our bacon with his bare hands while he was pointig and explaining the diffrent kinds of bacon. He clearly saw this and did nothing.. just carried on talking..and didnt offer to replace it. Was an accident im sure but still.. we cut off the end of bacon he touched and blew it off. The green goddess dip apitizer they give upon arrival is good too. That's where the good part ends. The $20 4oz glass of wine i got was not great, but not the worst I've ever had. The bread they give you was cold, bland and dry. Husband and I odered the $190 aged ribeye steak to share and it was unercoooked and needed salt badly. They had no salt on the table The meat was chewy and did not taste good at all. We couldnt eat more than a few bites and called it quits. And those few bites were a struggle to swallow . All I could think about is how much better my husband's steaks at home taste. The wild mushrooms were not good either. The chocolate coffee dessert was the most bland dessert I can ever remember having. It needed more sugar and flavor -overall not great. The parting muffin and mini cookie they give you to go was just as bland. I couldn't believe we spent $350 for the two of us aftet tip and it was the worst meal we ever had. Perhaps the burger and fries was the way to go here. Everything about the food experience was underwhelming and disappointing. At this price point I want to leave raving to friends and family how good our meal was. And here I am writing this review. Wish we could leave a better review but I just wanted to warn people not to get the aged ribeye at the very least. It looks great In pictures but the flavor isn't there. Perhaps there's better things on the menu, but we're not taking a chance on returning to try something else. Do yourself a favor and skip this place all together .

While we were the first customers on a Sunday for lunch, the food took ages to arrive. I ordered pasta for my kids but they couldn’t eat it because it was too spicy. Despite bringing it up with the waiter, they still charged for it. The overall experience was very poor, the food was average at best and over priced.

An incident occurred on 10/25/2025 when we were at the Plano location of Knife for dinner, where my wife was very disrespected. We had reservations for 8:30 but because of our previous obligations running late, we called and let the staff know and asked if it would be possible to move the reservation to later on in the night. They said they had a 9:30 time available and since the restaurant closes at 10, we asked if that would be an issue. We were told that no, that’s absolutely fine. The kitchen closes at 10 but once we’re inside and get our food ordered, we can take our time and enjoy our meal. While at dinner, an incident occurred where my wife was eating lobster and started having a bad allergic reaction. She normally always has lobster and this never happens. Because of this, I drove to the nearest CVS right away (which was about 6 minutes away with tolls) to get her allergy medicine. Our waiter was in the back so I let 3 other people know (one server who was next to us and two of the guys at the front entrance) that I would be about 10-15 minutes and they said that was perfectly fine, so I went. While I was away, the waiter came by and asked my wife if she wanted things to be boxed up. She told him I was almost here and that I might want to finish up, when he pointedly looked at the watch on his wrist. He had also asked her if we wanted dessert and at that time she ordered dessert for me as well, since we were celebrating my birthday. The waiter came by again in a little bit and asked about boxing up our meal again, so this time my wife told him to just box it up because she felt we were no longer welcome. At this time, he said to her in an annoyed tone, “And ma’am, for future reference, don’t leave the table during dinner because we do close at 10 pm”, to which my wife was very shocked and responded with “I’m sorry, I was having an allergic reaction so my husband had to run to CVS to get me medicine. He did tell several of the guys before he left.” To this, the waiter responded with a very condescending “I understand,” as soon as the words were out of her mouth, as if wanting to end the conversation as quickly as possible. For someone to be having an allergic reaction and the waiter to not show any sympathy or care at all and just say in a condescending tone, “I understand” is just very unexpected at a restaurant that is known to be “high end” and of Knife’s caliber. If this was a lower end chain-restaurant, we would understand the lack of care and hospitality. However, at Knife, which normally has raving reviews, it was just very uncalled for and unexpected to be asked by the wait staff to “not leave the table” during dinner, especially in the case of an emergency, and then to not even ask if she was doing okay or needed help or emergency attention was very shocking. For someone who never has allergic reactions to lobster, God forbid if anything had happened, Knife could have been liable, but the waiter staff could not even spend two minutes of their time asking if she was okay. We did not expect this out of a restaurant of this caliber. We’ve seen similar situations happen at other restaurants and the wait staff have shown our friends concern, bringing out their medical kits and the manager coming by to speak to them. In this scenario, we felt unwelcome and like we were being an inconvenience and they wanted us to just get out and leave. It was extremely uncalled for of the waiter to approach my wife and ask her to “not leave the table during dinner” when she wasn’t even the one to leave. I was the one to leave and he could have suggested that to me upon my return, but finding a woman alone and making comments like that to her instead of me seemed like he wanted to take his anger out on the easy target. We had heard raving reviews about Knife but felt very disrespected and disappointed by our experience. Because of this, we cannot agree upon the sentiment, and will not be returning to the restaurant.
