Ok, NOTHING is like Torchy's - this place is unique and awesome...but not for everyone. The food is great, not bland and boring - and some of the "spicy" things are going to be WAY TOO hot, but you'll find something you love. My family loves the queso - Hillbilly queso is our favorite, but the normal chips and queso are still excellent.. My personal favorite is the Tipsy Chick taco which is chicken, spinach, cheese, corn on flour tortilla with a bacon marmalade sauce!!! The Crossroads taco is awesome - which is their brisket taco (and I always order with a fried egg on it) - my wife orders hers sans tortilla, which means just all the good stuff in a bowl). The Republican taco (jalapeno sausage) is also incredible. You can order their breakfast tacos all day - and they are great - my favorite is the Wrangler, minus the potatoes. My kids love the Trailer Park (fried chicken - see pic) and remember to "make it trashy" (means put queso on it). Plano location is always crowded, but worth every minute of the wait! Also, love that Torchy's adds variety - some new things almost every month as specials and a couple new tacos on the menu as well. NEW UPDATE: they just added BOWLS, and these are incredible - the Bonfire with the salmon is insane and the Big Tipsy with the fried chicken - both are awesome!
We come here often and it never disappoints! The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and the vibe is fun and welcoming. Regina is our favorite bartender — she’s attentive, friendly, and always makes sure we’re taken care of. She remembers us and makes every visit feel personal. If you’re at Torchy’s, definitely sit at the bar with Regina. Highly recommend!
The staff at the Plano location are the best in the world. I come here basically everyday just to grab a 2 Migas with Diablo sauce. It’s delicious
It's good place, not so noisy. It's maintained well and Service is good. They have drinks options too and outdoor seating. Good thing is that there are lot of vegetarian options available here unlike in other restaurants in USA. Salads with No Meat, Queso and Chips and Taco/Burrito. My friend had gold card and got one free chips and queso. We can even refill chips.
I come here all the time, and the food is delicious, service is fast and polite, and the atmosphere is always great. I highly recommend the breakfast burrito, and the queso is always delicious. The best location I've been to, and the lovely woman at the bar is always so sweet, will be back again and again!

This is the nicest Torchys location I've ever seen. The decor is beautiful and they have a beautiful full bar in the center of the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was good.
The food was delicious as it’s been at every Torchy’s I’ve visited. The inside is somewhat small but cozy, and we had no trouble getting seats on a Sunday afternoon. The speed at which our food was ready was very fast, always a plus. They have some booth seating which we like.
Torchie’s Tacos never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made just right. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, and the service is top-notch every time I visit. Big shout-out to the store manager, John you can tell he truly cares about both the staff and the customers. His leadership shows in the way the whole place runs smoothly. Visiting the Plano area, I always try to visit this restaurant as we have none in Arkansas. Food was awesome. The Hillbilly queso was so good and came out piping hot! We ordered drinks and sat at the bar. Holly was an excellent bartender! I never have a bad experience when visiting Torchy’s.
Enjoyable night out with a great taco dinner! The chips and salad kept us busy and discussing the decor of this location was fun. We arrived a little after 8pm which did not seem to be an issue as the location was quite full. We had to send someone to grab a booth as there was little space. The food arrived and everyone enjoyed the unique tacos. With our Hispanic heritage friend giving us pointers on the meal it was a fantastic time. The tacos were excellent. It always the case in other places but this night, the tacos were amazing. Thank you for the friendly service.
Thank goodness for Torchy's in our neighborhood!!! They have the best servers drinks and tacos around. I really enjoy their mimosas and margaritas and the Baja shrimp taco or the fajitas are my favorites. Adam is a fabulous manager and host and Raul and Regina are the best bartenders in town.
I can remember how Torchy’s was our go to spot for tacos all the way back when they were only in Austin and they have continued to be my go-to place when my taco cravings hit. Things to consider: you’re not going to get a traditional taco here. They load up these tacos with a lot of ingredients that are piled up in a mound of goodness where some tacos are impossible to eat without things falling out. If you’re looking for a simple taco, this isn’t the place for you. But if you’re looking to try something untraditional Torchy’s is your place!
Nice taco place with good options of taco and sides too. They have some plant based taco too. And one can customize the taco as per liking . We wanted vegetarian taco and they customised some of the taco as per that. We had plant based taco, potato red bean tacos , quesso was amazing . Place is quite big and happening .
My girlfriend and I tried out the Southlake for our first time visit. The food was tasty, the service was unwelcoming,and the atmosphere wasn't any better. The lady who took our order seemed annoyed. She didn't suggest anything, nor did she let us know it was happy hour. We will not be returning to that location. However, we really wanted to give another location a try and glad that we did! At the Plano location, we were greeted, and the host made suggestions as well as let us know of happy hour. He even said we could add flavor to the margaritas, no extra charge. The drinks are fresh and potent, definitely my kind cocktails. Because the atmosphere was inviting, we tried several tacos, and none of them were disappointed in flavor or quantity. I recommend this location 👌

Torchy's Tacos has a cool aesthetic that makes for a fun dining experience. The restaurant is semi-clean, and the staff know what they're doing, although they're not very friendly. They get the job done, which I appreciate, but my main issue was the wait time--it took quite a while to place my order and then even longer to get my food. I also found the beef fajitas to be extremely chewy, almost to the point of being inedible. Other than that, it's a solid place. If you're in the mood for some decent tacos and a unique atmosphere, it's worth a visit. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars.

Service??? You have to order on a kiosk!! I had trouble because I didn't want any modifications to my Democrat Taco!! I ended up going to the bar to ask for help. Not worth it. I ordered the Carnitas Taco and the Beef Taco called “The Democrat.” Honestly, I should’ve known anything named after the Democratic Party would end in disaster. The queso had a hair in it, and after finishing the tacos it felt like I still had hair stuck in my throat. The tacos themselves were super expensive for what they were — basically street‑taco quality at a premium price. This place is a rip‑off. It wouldn’t last three months in Southern California.

Torches is usually on point every day but today I asked for no lettuce and no pico due to an allergy. They put lettuce on it even though the receipt says no lettuce and they put pico, but tried to scrape it off, even though it says no pico.. how dumb do you have to be to get something so simple so wrong it shows pure negligence on the employees part and stupidity at its finest.
The worst tacos I've ever had in my entire life. My partner and I ordered three tacos to eat there, and the meat was cold, plus the cheese. It was our first time there, and no one told us when our food was ready. I had to get up and go to the counter to ask. I went back to the table, and they immediately brought the food, all cold. They also took a long time to bring the two sodas I ordered. When I was about to get up a second time, the waitress came with one, and I told her I wanted two. She brought them to me, and I said thank you, but she didn't even respond. Fifty dollars wasted at this place.
