This place has great atmosphere all around. Everyone was friendly and professional. Evelyn was my server tonight and she did a great job, my food came out quicker than I expected. I chose the patty melt cause I've never had dry aged beef before (that I know of) and it was delicious! Their in house made honey mustard was great as well! When I do come back to L.A. I'll definitely stop again!

Great place to stop if you’re biking Redondo beach. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was stellar. Girlfriend had the salmon bagel. She said the salmon was absolutely delicious but the bagel was pretty lackluster. Anyways, Atmosphere was nice! Can get crazy busy at lunch time though.

Had a great brunch here with a couple of friends. The seating was well spaced and the food was very nice. I opted for the Seafood Louis salad and my friends had different seafood rolls. The macadamia nut ice cream was very nutty in a very good way. Thanks Brooke and company!

While visiting in LA I was recommended to go here. Delish food! The atmosphere was laid back and relaxing which I needed after my long day working. I got a French 75 for a happy hour drink, tuna and shrimp ceviche for an appetizer and grilled salmon salad. Super yummy! It's also walking distance to the beach! I would love to go here again.

Great food, service was great! We drove 45 mins to come to Chef Brooke's restaurant 😋 what a wonderful experience! Lobster roll was so good! Bread bowl had alot of flavor and the seafood tower was also to die for! Second review update! We had my daughters a small bridal 🥳 party @ playa provisions. I first want to say what an wonderful experience we had! food was first class! Service was great! Food was so good, fresh and was definitely elevated! I want to thank Zachariah for being an amazing host and planner! You really out did ur self! Can't want to come back again!

One of my absolute favorites! Been out to Cali 4 times for business and this restaurant was by far the best! The Crab Claw Pops are out of this world! I swear I could eat a dozen of them. And the skirt steak was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely a must try!

Back again for our second time, and it was amazing. The staff is always welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious, and the drinks always hit the spot.

Our family watches Tournament of Champions and has been cheering for Brooke since season 1. We came to LA to try her restaurant and were blown away! We got a table at Dockside and ordered drinks as we appreciated the live music. We tried the Ceviche and Lobster roll and had toasted mallow ice cream for dessert. We will go back again, it was wonderful!

Seafood lover? Playa Provisions is the destination while visiting Playa del Rey. While indoor seating is available I would recommend the outdoor tables, offering fire pits and the ocean breeze, this is prime seating so make sure to schedule a reservation to secure this option. Host and servers very friendly and attentive - food is other level; the salmon dish was generous and delicious, the melons with prosciutto exceeded my expectations, juicy and savory. The Lobster roll, reviled the ones I experienced in Main. The crab mac and cheese is insanely good, and it’s a MASSIVE portion! We will have to come back to explore their menu. *if you time it right you can catch the sunset on the beach - it’s a few skips down from the restaurant.

Brooke Williamson has done a great job with this place. The vibe is really cool and the staff were wonderful and put up with our goofing. The food was very good, and actually quite reasonably priced for an upscale joint. Lobster roll was the bomb. Also they have happy hour prices that are great--i mean an old fashioned with basil Hayden for $10?? Yes please! Highly

During an airport layover, we decided to venture to Playa Provisions. We got to the coffee/ice cream place around 4pm, ice cream (lemon olive oil pistachio) was super delicious. We had reservations in the restaurant at 5PM. Great team, positive staff energy, food came out quick and absolutely delicious. Would come back in a heartbeat. Great concept and amazing menu

went in for sunday brunch. made reservations about an hour before going in and didn't have to wait at all to get seated even though it was pretty busy. our server was amazing! (wish i could remove her name.) we had the clam chowder and lobster roll. I was most excited about the lobster roll, but the clam chowder stole the show. I was blown away by how amazing it was! we had an americano before leaving and that was really good too. reccomend sitting outside. the patio is super cute, and you can hear/smell the beach while enjoying a great meal!

Overall the experience was very positive. I made a reservation a day prior, and was seated within minutes of arriving. My friends and I started off with a dozen oysters that I would say were phenomenal. The Baywater Sweets and the Irish Points were our favorite. We then ordered a bluefin tuna tartare, which was promptly delivered to us. The tartare arrived by itself, with no real vehicle to eat it with. So we asked the waiter if there was anything that they had to accompany this, and he offered us crackers and yucca chips. We asked for both of and they both went well with the tartare. For our mains, we decided on the salmon salad which was excellent. We also went with the swordfish which was not so excellent. I am typically used to eating swordfish as a thick steak, however, when the swordfish arrived it was very thin, probably a bit over 1/4 in thickness. Trying out the swordfish, it was definitely over. It had a very mealy consistency, which fortunately was offset by the tomato vinaigrette that accompanied it. Overall, it was a very wonderful experience, but I would definitely not have the swordfish again unless they serve a thicker cut.

My first time here, and I'll be back. We went for HH until 6 (enjoyed a Whiskey Mule), and then went into the Whiskey Bar for another cocktail. I really loved the Whiskey Bar ambience; low light with abundant candles. Their Patty Melt was outstanding!! 7/2/24: another stellar visit. I had an Old Fashioned and a beet salad with grilled salmon. Delicious 👌

Well, it already has 1000 reviews saying it’s good. I couldn’t agree more. Friendly service. The food does not take long to be served but it does take time. It’s worth it. Clean restroom. Very important. Good vibes. I did see a fly inside the dessert display. So I’m avoiding that… but it was just that day… Parking valet is $10 but just drive around and look for free parking. Read signs.

We popped in for dinner last night (Sunday Nov 26th) and had a great meal. The service was fantastic, and the food outstanding. There is even a speakeasy at the back with some live piano on Thursday and Sundays. We missed seeing Brooke but she needs her own time like we all do. Maybe next year.

Such a fun & unique spin on classic deli dishes. Loved my burrata sandwich ❤️ Everyone else was so happy with their dishes as well! The fish tacos needed a crema but they were classically delicious. The lobster roll was a fun twist on a tuna salad (sub lobster) with the celery and mayo!

I had a pleasant afternoon working on my computer, drinking a delicious chai latte, and enjoying the vegan muffin. The muffin was absolutely amazing: blend of nuts, sweet but not too much, and general deliciousness. It was wonderful.

Amazing place. Outstanding service, great food. Everything is fresh and delish. Great atmosphere. You cannot go wrong with this place. They have a dive bar in the same building. Try to make a reservation if possible.

We'd wanted to try Playa Provisions for a long time, but live out of town. We finally had the opportunity, and it was worth waiting for! Fantastic all the way around. The food was delicious, the service was great (thanks, Jackson!), and the weather was perfect for patio dining. I'd totally recommend the charcuterie board as an appetizer — it was devoured by our table. And the staff was very willing to make slight adjustments to orders to ensure everything was perfect. Can't wait to go back! Couple notes. First, I'd make reservations. Even on a Monday evening, the Dockside restaurant was quite full. Second, I'm hoping the management will put some resource back into this cute venue, because it's starting to get a little rough around the edges. I'd love for this to continue being a go-to spot in the years to come.

Went for Sunday brunch, it was great! Loved the eggs Benedict and really loved the hash brown. French toast was great and tasty as well, a bit too sweet for me. Loved the atmosphere and fire-pit in the enclosed patio. Service is great and attentive.

My sister celebrated her birthday here. We had multi-course dinner, where the appetisers (garlic and pepper fried calamari and smoke trout dip) stood out for me. I chose the glazed pork shank as main entrée and it did not disappoint. It tasted like a French-Asian cuisine. The crab mac and cheese and grilled caulilini were fantastic sides and a total hit. The private room we occupied was cozy and warm (literally as it had a fireplace!) and gave our party the much needed privacy and comfort. The servers were quick and attentive.

Great date night at Playa Provisions! We have been watching co-owner Brooke Williamson dominate competitions on the food network for years so this was a must stop when we decided to travel the California coast. The flavours were unique and interesting (in an great way). The halibut was a monstrosity and could've been shared by 3+ people and we are so thankful to our waiter for warning us (and for having a great sense of humour/ making our wonderful experience that much better). To top off the night we had the cake special which was nothing short of divine. I'm still dreaming of the strawberry ice cream and trying to figure out how to ship it to Canada. The restaurant was cozy and chic and would be on our regular visit list if we lived in the area.

Dockside serves quintessential Californian food: it’s fresh with simple ingredients. The seafood is succulent and so tasty and the plating is artistic and colourful. Ordered: - Yellowfin tuna and tiger shrimp ceviche $19 - Peruvian scallop $5.5 - Fried crab claw pop $9 - Connecticut style seafood roll $26 - Shishito pepper $14 The ambiance gives California coast mixed with cabin on the lake— super beautiful with great vibes. I 100% recommend Dockside for anyone in LA or passing through!!!

One of my favorite brunch spots to take out of town visitors! Reservations fill up on weekends but don’t worry if you can’t get one because you can order from the same menu at the counter and sit on the casual outdoor patio. A couple of my favorite lesser known brunch items are: Coconut chia pudding with fresh fruit - super light, slightly sweet, and incredibly delicious; and the biscuit bites that come with honey butter and salted caramel - these are a crowd pleaser, just trust me and try them!

I really enjoyed eating here. The seafood options are on point. I went simple with the Fish and Chips and really enjoyed it. For a nightcap, went over to their speak easy. The bar was very well curated by Liam and found a lot of delicious bourbon varieties and cocktails that were absolutely fantastic! I definitely plan on coming back!

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!! No son and I had dinner at Playa Provisions prior to the CFP Game tomorrow. Service was excellent and the meal was amazing. My son had the halibut and it wax fresh and had incredible taste. I had the chicken, yes, you should order the chicken. The grilled broccoli that was the side was great and the chicken was, outstanding. Another do not miss place when you are in California!

Fun, open atmosphere. Great service. Good selection and choice of restaurant style sit down or grab and go. We stuck with breakfast items and enjoyed. Note, breakfast sandwich was a little hard to eat and I resorted to knife and fork (ciabata style bun very soft, however).

The battered fish tacos were quite possibly the best in the world. I had to return and get another serving the following day. Took a short walk on day two to a bench at the beach and watched the ocean

What a cool little place just 15 minutes or so near LAX. If you're coming for a flight from further out and not sure about risking traffic, might as well come here for a nice meal or coffee before heading over the the airport. The fish tacos were spot on! So good that I ended up eating nothing at the airport so as not to diminish my last meal in LA. Service was also very friendly. Will definitely come back!

This was our first time at this restaurant and food and atmosphere gave is exactly what we were seeking while on vacation. But our waiter Bill sent the experience over the top with exceptional service! We had the Manhattan Seafood Roll and Crispy Fish Tacos. Delicious.

Very cool concept location with 4 "places" - cafe, ice cream, bar, restaurant - in one! I love going to the cafe before or after the beach or an LAX journey to get the best breakfast sandwich in the world! The pastries are also excellent and noteworthy.

Prettiest green tea latte I've ever had. In town for a quick trip for work. The guy working the counter was so helpful in explaining how to order, what time they do lunch and dinner service, everything. Next time I'm in town, I will definitely come back. The outside sitting area is so pretty. I was looking for a place to sit and work for at least an hour, and there were plenty of people who definitely use the place for that, too. 5 stars all around.

Great first impressions— space utilization, service, ambiance. Amazing is the only word that came to mind as we (5) tried out a few of their appetizers and side dishes. See the sampler plate that I created below.😊 The ceviche is absolutely heavenly— explosion of flavors with every bite. Their Snapper was perfectly cooked and accompanying salad was so refreshing that this main course actually generated the appetite.😁 The Connecticut Roll was good. Finally the Tiramisu was absolutely delicious. Thank you ‘Playa Provisions’ for such a wonderful dining experience. Will definitely visit again.

Great location right next to the beach. There are many different options for the really tasty meals here. Friendly and attentive service comes with it. We had the good fortune to arrive while live music was taking place, which created a wonderful atmosphere. We were able to secure a few seats by the fire pit, providing a warm and intimate atmosphere right in the center of the action 😀

In general, this is a good place for brunch, but it's even a better place - a great place - for dinner. Good variety of seafood plates; it's very lively with attentive staff and great ambiance. As for food, not a big fan of their Connecticut seafood rolls (could be a personal choice), but the other dishes we had were great. $5 dollar valet parking available on site. Restaurant located a short one block walking distance from the beach.

Great food, cool vibes and good service! Smoke trout dip, muscle and clams and the fish and chips was top notch! Lobster roll was fresh and great bread but for me it didn't have much flavor. Service was also great

Exceptional dinner experience. Came in during happy hour and our groups sampled many of their tapas. We ended up ordering seconds of all of them since they were so good. Nice open air experience near the beach with terrific ambiance/atmosphere. Wait staff was top notch, very friendly, fast and attentive despite working many tables. This is a place you want to bring your closest friends or family, enjoy time together, share a meal and drinks. Oh yes, drinks were very good with top shelf products.

Exceptional. I am a harsh critic as I believe we have slipped when it comes to providing exceptional products and services in general. I can say with complete enthusiasm and confidence that Playa Provisions is an exceptional restaurant with a dedication to excellence. The vibe made me emotional with gratitude for an incredible experience. I am a loyal fan

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! There are not enough words to describe how truly amazing everything on the menu is. I live in Playa Del Rey within walking distance from Playa Provisions and I have been to or ordered from this restaurant more than 15 times. The ambiance is chill, but classy. You can order from from the cafe counter and seat yourself or you can go to Dockside restaurant where you will have a server. The menu is the same at both. If you choose to go to Dockside, they have an outdoor patio area that is so lovely for brunch right by the beach. No matter what time of day, they have something you'll love for every meal. The first time I came here I ordered the Tuna Melt per a recommendation from a friend and WOW does Brooke know how to make a tuna melt. I had dreams about this sandwich after I left. The bread is incredible, the tuna, the bread & butter pickles oof it's chef's kiss. You will love anything you try, but here is a list of my favorites: Lunch/Dinner - - Tuna Melt 5/5 (see above. this is a must) - Roasted Chicken & Brie Sandwich - 5/5 (Very good! My boyfriend orders this every single time) - Burrata & Olive Tapenade - 5/5 (highly recommend, this is one of my favorites) - Lobster Roll 5/5 (this is a cold lobster roll with a tasty roll and potato chips. SO good, but it's not a huge meal so I would order a side of fries) - Fish n chips - 5/5 (hits every time) - Grilled Sweet Sake Marinated Halibut Collar - 5/5 - Playa Fish Tacos - 3/5 (this is my least favorite thing I've tried here) - Grilled Salmon Salad - 4.2/5 (light and delicious) - Brussel Sprout Caesar Salad - 4.5/5 (the crispy soft egg is amazing!!) - Garlic fries - 5/5 (yes yes yes) Brunch - - Biscuit bites - 10/5 (I was hesitant to order biscuits, but these were unbelievable. I wanted to just eat the butter and salted caramel sauce it's served with.) - Skillet french toast - 5/5 (WOWWW) - Smokey stewed beluga lentils - 4/5 - Red Adobo Chilaquiles - 4.5/5 - Pop-seco - 100/5 (MUST TRY if you're here for brunch. One of my favorite drinks and this is just so creative and fun!) I order from this place at least once every 2 weeks and bring any of my friends or visitors here when they come to LA! Again, cannot recommend it enough.

Been here 3 times and every time is better than the last! Seafood dishes are 10/10 but save room for dessert - I would go here just for dessert! Pictured: eggnog cheesecake, seafood risotto, beet cured salmon toast, scallop and crab pop!

We planned a trip to LA and we also made plans to eat here specifically and it did not disappoint one bit. The folks who tended to us were very pleasant and friendly. However, the food…man o’ man…it was pretty awesome. If I ever find myself in LA again…I shall return.

We enjoyed a fantastic brunch at Playa Provisions. The food was great - a full menu with lots of choices, with a clear spotlight on seafood but with lots of other options as well. The vibe of all of the food is definitely playful SoCal, and it really shines in the simplicity of their approach combined with fantastic execution and bold flavors. The chilaquiles were one of the best ones I’ve ever had. We sat outside on the partially covered patio, and enjoyed the sun and a great meal, made even more pleasant by the great service - laid back, beach-y but intent on ensuring we were having a good time. Absolutely recommend this spot, which delivers on its owner Brooke Williamson’s reputation for sure.

Reservations recommended, which we had, but it appears that today, Tuesday was not as busy, 6:45. Seated immediately in a very comfortable heated patio. Our server Great, attentive, friendly and provided excellent recommendations. Don't recall her name but she was from Ohio! One could feast on the side dishes to share . The calamari, black ink risotto, crab Mac n cheese all great. For main entrees, salmon salad, fish and chips and lobster roll. All generous portions. The dressing on salad was light, sweet and refreshing. We are not alcoholic drinkers so our bill was reasonable for all we did order. However the cocktails looked very tempting, combinations interesting. We were also told the menu changes. Great experience

This was my first visit, though I've heard about Playa Provisions from friends. We met some friends for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was hard to decide what to get because everything looked so good! I started with the cinnamon roll with candied bacon on top...and that was spectacular! We sampled the scallops and a couple of the oysters...very good. And I opted for the crab and shrimp Benedict - also wonderful. Great coffee, attentive service, fun atmosphere...all made for a lovely morning. My only issue is that the acoustics are challenging. It was super hard to hear our dining companions which was a bit frustrating...we were meeting a friend we hadn't seen in quite awhile and it was difficult to hear the conversation.

I come here for the coffee bar. They have an amazing chai latte and they make really good matcha lattes. Their teas are loose leaf and they have a nice selection of ice cream where you can opt for hot fudge, caramel and sprinkle toppings. You can get freshly baked muffins and cookies alongside some vegan treats. They have to-go salads and pastas that make for a perfect lunch, and a great selection of bottled beverages that you can take to the beach. Free parking lot out front!

Amazing food and service. The mussels and clams with the pesto broth was my absolute favorite!! I saw Brooke walking through the bar and called out to her and she came right over to meet me and my husband. It made my day! She was very friendly and she gave us some excellent suggestions for dinner. Highly recommended!! Thanks Brooke for a memorable evening!!

C

All their food is fantastic, but I'll tell you this. Their bakery is actually easy better if you can believe that. The drinks, the food are top notch no doubt. And I love their fish tacos so much. But I'll tell you this, get there early in the morning when they open or else all the pastries will be gone. It's all on another level.

L

A chill place to meet up with friends and family or just have a yummy snack on your way to the beach. The clam chowder is light, buttery, and fresh, but the pancetta packs a salty punch, and the carrots, potatoes, and celery add just the right veggies. The arugula salad was so much more than I expected! I will end up craving that haha Our long distance family met up on a Saturday, we got a table outside and enjoyed the vibe!

R
Randolph Johnson-Smith

Super cute atmosphere, the larger seating area is not open till five so if you have a large group of friends that may be a better time to meet. There is also decent parking and it’s right next to the beach. The parking right across the street notes no parking 12 noon till 2:30 PM on Thursdays and no parking 10 PM till 6 AM nightly. Stephen was an absolute pleasure. He answered all my questions and insured. I knew my options before placing my order. I tried the corned beef and it wasn’t bad. My corn beef expectations are pretty high coming from Detroit Michigan and having a corn beef sandwich from Lou’s deli, if you know you know (I.Y.K.Y.K) I felt $26 was a bit high for the meal which also elevated my expectations. The fries were pretty tasty and there was a decent amount that could certainly be shared.

R

Love this place! Perfect spot right in front of the beach! The food is crafted so well and the pastries are beyond! My dad said it’s the best patty melt he’s ever had! Been back 3 times and will continue! Also perfect stop over on the way to LAX pickups and drop offs! ;)

I’m a huge fan of Chef Brooke and was super excited to bring my wife here to not only support her restaurant but to try the food! Nothing is basic here. Friendly staff, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere and bonus you can see so many dogs and it’s right my the beach!! Whether you’re coming for a quick bite and some coffee or you want to sit inside the restaurant area you’re going to love every moment. I’ve never had food with such flavor. If you like hot sauces try their habanero sauce. Sweet and spicy and adds a lovely bite and kick to your meal.

We had a great experience at Playa Provisions. We were doing an early dinner prior to a concert so we got here in time for happy hour. The appetizers and wine were on the happy hour menu and very reasonably priced. The calamari and the Szechuan wings were both very good. Both were crispy and flavorful. My husband had the lobster roll which she really enjoyed and I had the Bronzino and Dashi and it was delicious! The broth was amazing. We had the vanilla bean crème brûlée for dessert and that was really good too. It was served with delicious lemon shortbread. Our waiter Victor was fantastic!

A fun spot on our stay in the area. We took advantage of the happy hour - the gigante beans and olives were favorites as well as the salmon belly on crispy rice. Margaritas made with fresh squeezed juice were delicious. The seafood roll was tasty but it was a little lean on the seafood and melted butter . The lobster roll at the next table looked better. Our server, Barbarella, was top notch. She checked in often and was super enthusiastic about serving us . The vibe is loud and crowded with happy diners. Go early to take advantage of the 5-6pm happy hour!

My wife and I like this place. It is in a great location, we walk to the beach before dinner. She enjoys sea food more than me. I wish there was a burger that was simpler. Guyere? No thank you.The wagyu steak was covered in sauce and was whatever. The desert ice cream area is awesome. The staff is great. By the bar is super loud. The main dining room is better.

Playa Provisions offers a wonderful coastal dining experience with a warm, inviting vibe. The space is cozy yet thoughtfully designed, with a variety of seating options across different areas. There’s a lively bar, a charming fireplace, and a beautiful patio that truly shines—especially given its proximity to the ocean. The wooden tables and chairs feel solid and high-quality, adding to the overall relaxed but refined atmosphere. Our waitress, Jordyn, was genuinely kind, friendly, and sweet. Her attentive and welcoming attitude made the experience even more enjoyable. For food, we ordered the lobster roll, which came as a smaller sandwich but was absolutely delicious. The flavors were well balanced, with just the right amount of seasoning, and the portion felt satisfying. Definitely worth trying. The bay scallop and tiger shrimp ceviche was another highlight—fresh, vibrant, and refreshing. It had a clean, healthy feel, and the addition of diced mango introduced a subtle sweetness that elevated the dish and added an extra layer of flavor. Both dishes were served cold, which worked perfectly for the seaside setting. Overall, Playa Provisions delivers great ambiance, attentive service, and thoughtfully prepared seafood. A lovely spot to enjoy quality food by the ocean.

After working with Zachariah to plan my dream wedding at Playa Provisions earlier this August, I knew I had to book my team’s holiday dinner party here! I requested a specific table for lots of space near a fire pit and we were given the most perfect spot to sit. We were warm and under the beautiful stars, my team kept saying they felt trabsported into a winter wonderland cabin. We loved the food! We had the happy hour drinks, multiple dishes of the delicious calamari, pretzel bites, fries and a charcuterie board. For our main dishes, we also had fish tacos, delicious fish and chips, lobster rolls, lobster mac and cheese and the lovely chicken. Everything was delicious and my coworkers were happy. Our server Bill was attentive, helpful, kind and wonderful! We really felt taken care of by the whole team. We will always come back for more celebrations!

The shellfish tower was great—particularly the Peruvian scallops! The lobster would have been excellent if served hot instead of chilled. The Connecticut style seafood roll was incredibly delicious in flavor, and the bread was perfectly toasted! The swordfish steak was fine, but not very impressive in flavor or texture. The crab mac and cheese was fine, but could have been great if more crab was added. The service was vey courteous, attentive and helpful with menu suggestions. The night atmosphere in December was excellent with the low lit theme, fire pits, holiday decorations and an aquarium next to the bar with a very impressive array of sea life. Great spot for dinner if you’re in the beach area!

We searched for fish and chips and ended up here! This place didn’t disappoint. The Smoked Trout Dip is wonderful. The muscles and clams were the best I’ve ever had and order them often all over the world. The fish and chips didn’t disappoint either. The fish was lightly battered and the fish was delish. The lobster roll was something of a waste of money. The roll part was good but the liberated was lacking of flavor compared to the rest of what we had.

🌟 🌟 Chill beach vibe and super fresh oysters 🌟 🌟 We really enjoyed our visit to Playa Provisiones! The ambiance is stylish yet relaxed ~ perfect for a coastal evening out. The oysters were absolutely fresh and delicious, a true highlight of the meal. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind, enjoy good food, and feel the beachy vibe all around. We’ll definitely be coming back! 🌊🦪

Laid-back beach vibes, relaxed restaurant. Friendly staff, excellent food, good service. We ordered the fish tacos and the corned beef sandwich. Both delicious. Nice relaxing music played during our lunchtime visit.

Absolutely incredible, we used to frequent The Triple; a restaurant owned by the same chef (has since closed). Found out she opened this location and serves the clams pesto, a favorite dish loved by my entire family. Our experience was unforgettable. Would highly recommend! We had the fish tacos too and they were yummmm!!!! Bon appetite

We came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and it was not too busy but definitely seems like a popular place to eat. We ordered at the counter and then we were able to seat ourselves and choose a place to sit. We ordered the Reuben sandwich and the lobster seafood roll. Both were one of the best sandwiches we had and were so delicious. The Reuben didn’t seem like a traditional Reuben but had their own twist which we loved. We are definitely coming back and excited to try more but would be hard to not reorder the same sandwiches because of how amazing they were.

we had a great dinner here. arrived during happy hour, ordered some starters and drinks off the menu, and also ordered off the main dinner menu. everything was fresh and delicious. highly recommend the scallop, crab claw lollipop, and ciopinno. kid friendly as well - kids menu available with crayons to draw on it.

Excellent food and service. We shared a dozen oysters of 4 different varieties. The Cajun shrimp and dungeness crab benedict was tasty but one of the egg yolks was overcooked. The corned beef rueben was definitely shareable. We ordered a side of fries and it was served with ketchup! I thought that was rather mundane. The server brought a delicious aioli instead. The cup of hot Chai tea was wonderful - plain without latte. Our adult beverages were excellent.

A seriously delicious, casual, hip seafood restaurant in Playa Del Rey, right near the beach. It is owned and managed by Brooke Williamson, who is one of my favorite Top Chef winners. She really has some unique dishes on the menu and every single one has great flavors and preparation. I will say the only downside we experienced was we were a table of two and had to wait 45 minutes for our first appetizers to arrive at our table, but I’m guessing that was due to some sort of delay in the kitchen. Inside is really well designed and laid out well. It’s very spacious, modern and as indoor and outdoor seating options. I love that outside has a working fire pit with tables all around it and views of the sand dunes. They also have a full bar that was very busy when we dined in this past Saturday night and I did not see a single open table so I would recommend making reservations before stopping in. Parking in the area can be a bit tricky but we are able to find a free street space a few hundred feet away from the restaurant entrance. There is plenty of parking options near the water side, north west of the restaurant. The menu has a ton of great options on it and our server was extremely polite. It took me a while to choose what I wanted to order because there were so many things that I wanted to get. The first dish that came was the Fried Crab Claw and we thought these were fantastic. We ordered two but they have a lot of meat in them so they are more filling than they look. The dipping sauces on the side were a great addition and I love the Old Bay seasoning with them. Next came the Clam Chowder and this was one of the best Clam Chowders I’ve had in a very long time. The pancetta inside was a great addition and it just had really nice flavors. We followed that with a Bluefin Tuna Tartare that may have been our favorite of the three appetizers. It had great flavors and a bit of a crunch to it, and I could taste the mix of flavors long after finishing the dish. For our entrées, we chose the Connecticut Style Seafood Roll and the Bucket of Clams and Mussels. We also ordered a side of the Sunchokes, which were fantastic. Sunchokes are in the artichoke family and taste just like an artichoke heart so if you’ve never had one, but like artichokes, I would highly recommend ordering this. Both our entrées were fantastic, the Connecticut Style Seafood Roll was filled with all different types of seafood and was much more filling than I anticipated. The bucket of Clams and Mussels was also great and the sauce it came in it was very light but packed with flavor. I was really impressed with all the dishes that we ordered and we did not have a single bad item. Aside from the delay getting the food items to us, it was a great meal and I would highly recommend to anyone in the area or even close by. This would be a great place to visit with friends/family or it would also be a nice date spot. I would definitely recommend and I plan to be back many times in the future.

Playa Provisions – Warm Vibes, Incredible Banana Bread Playa Provisions is a coastal gem that blends laid-back charm with high-quality food and genuinely kind people. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming—easy to relax in, with good energy all around. I have to say, the banana bread completely blew me away. It was gluten-free and hands down the best banana bread I’ve ever had—moist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The bacon was also a standout—crispy, delicious, and reasonably priced, which is rare these days. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the entire experience even better. Whether you’re looking for a quiet morning bite or a spot to soak in positive vibes and great food, Playa Provisions is a place I’ll be returning to again and again.

Stopped by for a drink, very cozy place on a chilly evening. Enjoyed the ambiance of the whiskey bar hidden inside, gave the vibes of the speakeasy. Their cocktails was good, not very sweet, strong. Parking by the restaurant, valet - $5. Definitely will be back. They also had a nice fireplace patio setting for large groups.

I

I am a huge Brooke Williamson fan from watching her compete and come up with amazing dishes on Top Chef and Food Network. So, as fans, we had to visit her restaurant. The setting and location is beautiful. So coastal and beachy! The food was so close to *great* but seems like it just fell short? We tried the fish tacos, the yellowfin tuna and tiger shrimp ceviche, and the salmon toast. All of it was good, just no “wow.” Maybe ordered the wrong thing, would still go back and try again!

Took our dogs and had a good time. Cafe opened at 7 but restaurant at 10. Great coffee / but if you get the gluten free because of a GLUTEN sensitivity, you’re fine - but if you get it because you have a wheat allergy - don’t trust it … cross contamination.

We loved the outdoor seating area for sit down dining. The staff brought over an umbrella for us and we’re very kind. At night the patio has gas fire places and heat lamps to keep you warm. The service was lovely and attentive while we took our time figuring out what we wanted. The brunch/lunch menu had decent variety but I prefer the larger dinner menu.

A few of my friends and I went to Playa Provisions for lunch on a weekend. The place was packed, so we are glad we made a reservation ahead of time. I didn't explore the inside of the restaurant in its entirety, but from what I could see, this restaurant has multiple seating areas, and each area has a different style/vibe. I was able to request seating in a specific section, and the host was kind enough to accommodate that request. Our server was very knowledgeable and walked us through the entire menu and her personal favorites. We ordered a dozen oysters for the table and picked multiple different types to try them all. The oysters were fresh. The oysters came with 3 sauces, and all of them were pretty good. I got their red adobo chilaquieles, and it was delicious. The dish wasn't served as hot, so it cooled down fast, but that's okay. It definitely packed the flavors I was looking for. Overall, it's a great restaurant. Plus, the parking in this area was super easy, which is a rare thing in LA.

I went to Playa Provisions for dinner yesterday and rate my overall experience a 3.7. I loved the atmosphere and ambiance. My friend and I got seated on the patio and the weather was perfect along with the bonfire they put on when it got chillier. The view of the beach was lovely. Food: The menu is very diverse. I ordered the clam chowder soup (good portion, soup lacking a bit in flavor, fresh clams in the soup, tasty large piece of sourdough bread in the middle), and a Fried Crab Claw Pop (I enjoyed it but it was very small) for starters. For my main dish I had the Scallops over creamed corn (I enjoyed this though it wouldn't be filling if this was the only thing you ordered) and a side of Crab Mac & Cheese (wasn't as "rich" as the waiter advertised but it was good, basically average). My friend ordered the calamari (she said it was good and filling), and a fried crab claw pop too. For her main she ordered chicken with asparagus which was really basic. I rate the food 3 stars. Drink: I ordered a moscow mule- it tasted water down so the waiter kindly had it remade for me- it still tasted water down so I didn't finish it. Not worth $14 at all in my opinion. Customer service: the service was overall good. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly, especially with making recommendations and answering questions about the menu. I would recommend a visit if you're looking a chill place to take a friend for a meal with a nice little view. I really enjoyed the ambiance on the patio and there is something for everyone on the menu.

This was my first visit to this very crowded and vibrant restaurant where Culver Blvd meets Pacific Ave in Playa Del Rey. Valet parking only ($5, plus tip). I had a 2:30pm reservation but was in the area early so I ended up dining at the bar. I started with a Hendricks gin & tonic ($14) and two Peruvian Scallops ($7ea). The scallops were a visual and taste treat … curry Amarillo sauce, daikon relish, yuzu tobiko, sea grass and some chili oil. I should have ordered more. I had the lobster roll ($26), cold chunks of lobster meat, mixed with pickled mustard seed, celery and crushed potato chips in a soft, toasted roll. It was very good, but I wished the lobster meat was warmer. I should have ordered a side of fries … the person next to me had a large bowl of fries … I was jealous! I ended my meal with a cup of coffee (gratis) and walked out sated. This restaurant was added to my list of “must stops” when I’m in LA. To remind me, I bought a T-shirt with their logo on the rear ($35).

We stopped here for breakfast. Options are limited especially if you’re vegetarian/vegan. We had a croissant (which was quite good) served with jam, and a buttermilk biscuit which was very fresh and tasty. The breakfast plate however looked a bit sad. Drinks were good (tea and oat milk cappuccino). Their patio is very dog and child friendly but parking is difficult (only option is valet parking or street parking if you’re lucky).

Happy Hour Monday-Friday 5pm-6pm. Most of the 5pm-6pm RSVP is taken pretty quick. RSVP seating view is not guaranteed. Excellent service! $10 valet, or find free parking around. 13min eta to LAX. Great place to chill before or wait for a friend coming out of LAX flight. We came around 620pm, after happy hour. Free parking at the park nearby. They lock up the entrance by sunset but still allow ppl to leave (725pm we got out fine). Items can be made without dairy: $26 Lobster Roll with mayo instead. $21 Beet cured salmon toast without dairy. $23 Fish and chips don't think it has dairy in its batter. But the $15 calmari batter has dairy in the batter. We also got the half dozen oysters (canal and sweeties), $4.50 each oyster. $15 Under the Tuscan Spritz. Strong. $11 Draft Hazy IPA We visited for quick snack before dropping off to LAX.

The space is great. Fantastic view and good vibes. Service was good. As for the food, it was disappointing. Started off out of some options. Ended up with the patty melt which was too greasy. The fish and chips were modified due to a shortage and weren’t great. The one item that was great was the Mac and cheese and crab.

M
Mike Asimakis

Been wanting to come here for a long time. Big fan of Brooke. She’s amazing. But the food honestly wasn’t anything special. The patty melt was extremely sweet imo(the peppers). I loved that the bread was grilled well but the beef patty was past well done. Nuked. The greens were wilted but stems pulled out of the sandwich when biting. The finely shredded hash brown was super oily. I can’t tell if this made the potatoes soapy/waxy but they were. I couldn’t eat it. The lobster roll was decent. No complaints. The fish tacos were sub par. Missing flavor but the habanero salsa helped. Cookies are quality but overtly sweet, again. The fresh bottles juices are legit. Want to come back for the dinner menu. Hopefully it’s more up my flavor alley.

We started the day by riding along the beach in Marina Del Rey. I checked online to see if we needed reservations and there were plenty of reservations open for a party of 5. (See screenshot). When we arrived they said reservations only and I showed them that I could go online a book a reservation and they looked flabbergasted. A second host came out to chat with us and said that they could seat us out on the patio and she’d bring a waiter as well. Honestly we were somewhat hesitant but we had a long drive back to LA with traffic so we decided to take her up on the offer. Our server was very nice. The food was okay and the atmosphere was not ideal. Was the food and atmosphere worth the wait and hassle? No. We probably should have taken our business elsewhere to a place that wanted us there. Halibut was good. Fish tacos were okay. Lobster roll was okay. Clam chowder was okay and the pretzel bits were okay too.

My husband and I drove 1.5 hours each way to visit Brooke’s restaurant. We were in Long Beach for one night for a convention, and because my husband is a huge Brooke fan, this stop was a must for him. Unfortunately, the experience was a major disappointment from start to finish. Ironically, the best part of the entire night was the parking attendant—he was genuinely warm, friendly, and absolutely exceptional. I wish the rest of the experience matched his level of service. For a restaurant that boasts a speakeasy whiskey bar, the old fashioned should be a standout, yet the one we had at our hotel earlier was significantly better. The appetizers were shockingly small, and not a single dish stood out. Everything tasted just “okay” at best. The steak frites were the biggest letdown—so chewy that we couldn’t even finish it. We’ve been to several celebrity chef restaurants, and while we know they can be hit or miss, we expected more from Brooke, especially with how competitive and talented she is. The restaurant itself is cute but underwhelming, and the food simply isn’t worth going out of your way for. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of money for mediocre dishes and tiny portions. Overall, this was not the experience we hoped for, and sadly, we wouldn’t return.

This the second TOC Champion’s restaurant I have been to, but sadly no where in the same league as Maneet’s Chauhan Ale and Masala House. Maybe we came on a bad night, but our server didn’t seem engaging at all and forgetting a couple of items we ordered. Our entrees were just so-so at best. Really had hoped it would be a memorable dinner, but sadly far from it.

The food here is very low quality. The clam chowder was decent, but the ceviche had absolutely no flavor, and the salmon salad tasted off - the iceberg lettuce and freezer-burned salmon were pretty gross. Luckily, our server was very nice, and gave us the two bad entrees for free, which is why this review is 2 stars rather than one. I can’t speak to the breakfasts here, which I heard are good, but definitely avoid this place for dinner.

P

I came here with expectations that an hgtv food network star owned this restaurant and how could it be bad. It was not great. We wasted our date night . First the smell of the restaurant was bad, musty, moldy , not sure but horrible. The bar staff were great . We had a wedge salad which was wet, and lacking in flavor. We split a steak frites which was chewy. Fries were amazing, hot and tasty. I will never go back and wish I had my money back. Try another place.

Playa Provisions had some of the best fish tacos around UNTIL they recently changed from rock fish to using swai, a cheaper, farm raised, environmentally questionable, very inferior fish. Obviously a decision based on profit and economics rather than quality, taste, and respect for ocean products. I live nearby and have eaten here every week for years. Very disappointed. No more Playa fish tacos. Dinners I Have had here recently were excellent but this "fish taco" change indicates decision making which undermines trust in their direction and choices.

My friend took a really bad fall here — her hand was bleeding and she had visible scratches. When we asked the waitress/cashier for a bandage, we were told she “wasn’t allowed” to give out bandaids and could only offer a napkin and ice. The way it was said felt cold and completely lacking in empathy. In a moment when someone was visibly hurt, the response came across as rule-driven instead of human-driven. Even if there’s a policy in place, a little compassion goes a long way. We left feeling disappointed and uncared for during a moment when kindness would’ve mattered most and decided not to eat here.
