Have been here before. Food is awesome. Service impeccable, without being aggressive and annoying. Great Italian restaurant. Was here for lunch. Busy but not out of control. I'd highly recommend reservations for dinner. Gets extremely busy because of the food and ambiance and service. Healthy portions and willing to make appetizer portions larger to accommodate a bigger party. Can't say enough about the place. Just go and enjoy and have a great time.

Incredible meal...burrata was fresh with yummy smoked speck.pesto was refreshingly different/creamy texture.veal was phenomenal! Service was excellent. The decor had been described as dated but I agree with others that it is part of its charm. We flew in from out of town and this was a highlight meal I looked forward to. If ever someone deserved 5 stars, this place does. The pre fixe lunch at 29.00 is a steal. The menu is new everyday based on fresh ingredients and local availability. If you love fabulous meals, revel in the magic of food chemistry, this kitchen was the benchmark before the books and culinary shows were produced.

Suffice to say that I've never had a bad meal here. (OK. I didn't care for the rabbit, but that's just more of an "apparently I don't like rabbit" than a comment on their preparation.) Just about every meal I've had here over the years had been phenomenal. And the staff is awesome. One of the most memorable dinning experiences I have had in a while. Candidly, the exterior is not very appealing, but once inside you feel the warmth of a family run business. The staff is very mature and extremely attentive. Food prep was excellent, and the depth of menu was extraordinary, especially for a 55 seat business. On all future visits, this will be on top of my list.

Dependable excellent food.

Classic old Italian. Great service. Listen carefully to the waiter telling the specials. It's a long list but that's the real menu. Lots of foods and deserts prepared tableside. Don't leave without having the Zabaglione

Good food in Blanche's bedroom. The food is actually really good with some traditional Sicilian dishes like fried eggplant flowers and sardines over peppers. The decor is another story with inspirations coming from the Golden Girls house. Dorothy would be proud. The service is lacking with a bit of attitude. Some of the staff is very attentive and polite.

8:30 reservation. With many empty tables we were left standing unacknowledged for quite a bit. Then I corralled a server and asked if we'd be seated. He nodded toward another server whose back was toward us and said we had to wait for him. Another 10 minutes passed and violá we were seated. The food was superb. The bar drinks not so much. But our server, sorry not to recall his name, was excellent. The only other glitch was that my partner's dish did not arrive with ours. It was about 8 or so minutes before it was put in front of him, and 100% well worth the wait. Was out of this world. I highly recommend this old time favorite. Not too many restaurants of this caliber left to enjoy.

One of the best Italian restaurants in the NY metropolitan area. Service is tremendous. The restaurant is a bit pricey but other than that it is as close to perfection as you can get. The menu is extensive and the number of specials was incredible. All of the items we ordered were wonderful.

Horrible experience. We came to the restaurant at an early diner time when just a couple of tables were busy but service staff was not. We asked for a dessert menu willing to try some but the staff refused to give us a table! Saying ridiculous "We do not serve deserts"! Folks, stay away from such a family!

Awful experience. First, we rolled into the parking lot, which is for 10 or 12 cars at most. Yet, they have valet parking. REALLY? I told him that I didn't need valet parking. He said that I could park my car in another parking lot at the supermarket nearby. Classy. So I give the guy my car to park and he drives it 10 ft from where we are standing and parks it. That was just silly! Then, we entered the restaurant. It was something like 6:00 p.m. there was practically no one in the place. But they told us that they didn't have a table for us. Dripping with attitude. So disappointed with their barriers to eating there, we left and never even got a chance to taste the food.

Attempted to eat here first timers , but the owner was super obnoxious when we asked to sit at a specific table. Btw, the restaurant was half empty on a Saturday night at 7pm. We were planning to order a $750 bottle of wine. His loss. Big mistake. Bye bye 👋🏼
