We arrived at the restaurant right when it had just opened and were one of the first tables of the evening. I’m celiac, so I ordered a gluten free pizza to make sure I could enjoy the meal safely, and my friends also chose gluten free pizzas so there would be no risk at all. From the very beginning, the waiter who served us was extremely kind and attentive. He even helped us take photos while I was celebrating the fact that I’m going to start college and also my friend’s birthday a thoughtful gesture that really made the experience special. The gluten-free pizzas were, without a doubt, some of the best I’ve had in Dublin. To end the night, we were pleasantly surprised with a cake as a kind gesture, something that touched me so much that I forgot at the time, but I couldn’t miss the chance to come back and say thank you. Without a doubt, when I return to Dublin, Layla’s will be one of my must stop places. Not to mention the beautiful, romantic sunset view, which makes the whole experience even more memorable.

Layla’s is a fantastic spot and never disappoints. The rooftop setting is beautiful, with great views that really add to the experience, especially in the evening. The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed, making it perfect for a catch-up with friends or a special occasion. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, everything tasted fresh and well thought-out. The cocktails were excellent too and clearly made with care. What really stood out was the service: friendly, attentive and welcoming without being intrusive. I’d happily recommend it and will definitely be back.

I had an amazing experience at Layla’s Rooftop! Their Le Passion is my absolute favorite drink — perfectly made every single time — and this time it was served by the most handsome man in the world, João Marcelo! The table service was outstanding as well. Panos, Fernanda, and Ahmed took such great care of us, making the whole experience even better with their attention, friendliness, and professionalism. Layla’s never disappoints — can’t wait to go back!

What a fantastic find! The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with a beautiful view. The food was outstanding – the T-bone steak was cooked to perfection and was absolutely amazing, and the kids were thrilled with their pizza. A huge thank you to our host, Vini, who was so welcoming and kind. He made our family's double birthday celebration feel incredibly special. Highly recommended!

Vini was the best waiter in the world. Amazing recommendations, attentive service, and just the kindest person. Drinks were incredible - get Le passion. Food was also incredible, great portions and amazing flavour!

We ordered the rib eye and it was perfectly cooked medium rare. 100% satisfied! Food was great, ambience was great. My only gripe is that we weren't given seats closer to the great view. Just because they were busy and seats for 3 are limited and they prioritize large groups... but we noticed many tables empty near the end. Even in their peak time. We dined in half past 6. Idk why but we were put on the very edge of the indoor area. So I'm rating it 4 in atmosphere. Service was great and our server was very friendly.

Had an amazing time at Layla’s Rooftop for my birthday. The service was amazing, our host for the night was Vini and he did a phenomenal job. He was extremely attentive and made our experience one to remember. The food was delicious and the views and vibes were great. It’s hard to keep a party of 15 happy at all times but he managed to do so with ease. Will definitely return.

I ordered the wild mushroom ravioli, which was absolutely amazing, perfectly balanced with the truffle and sage butter. There was a mix-up in the kitchen and they accidentally thought I had ordered steak, so my ravioli took a bit longer than the rest of the table’s meals. The staff were incredibly kind and took the ravioli off the bill without me even asking, thanks! 🫶🏻 For dessert, I had the limoncello pie, which was refreshingly tangy and just the right level of sweet, and paired it with a limonata cocktail that was delicious. Overall, the food was wonderful, but it was the attentive and generous service that made the evening truly memorable. Highly recommend!

Lovely restaurant with views of Dublin rooftops. Has option of outdoor seating too. Nive pizza and pasta menus. Need to supply credit card when booking and there are T&Cs to be accepted re some minimum spends

I went with my wife and 3 friends for brunch and we loved it. My wife is always mentioning the Benedict eggs she had there, as it was pretty good. I was a bit more hungry and chose the hamburger and it was delicious, saucy, and full of taste. We ate at the rooftop and it was super comfortable. We were expecting a bit more of the view but overall it was a super good experience and we are definitely going back.

It is hard to find a restaurant with great atmosphere like this in Dublin, I strongly recommend this place also Tiramisu was the best I've eaten in my life.

I can't believe how amazing this restaurant is. Entering the restaurant, I was attracted by her invincible large windows and outdoor beauty. The design and seating are chic, very lifestyle. The background music is also well chosen, and the waiters are super handsome. Food is really tastes good. In such a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with the windows can see the beauty of infinity to accompany. It's been a pleasure.

I went to this restaurant for my birthday and I liked it a lot! The meat was as I ordered it and the view is spectacular! In the end they gave me a detail for my birthday and my stay was very nice. Thank you

This restaurant is Brilliant and really enjoyed being there. The view from the top was breathtaking. The food was delicious and was done in just a few minutes. The steak was mouth watering and perfect! This is a great place to go out with friends and family. The chairs are very comfortable too. The staff were very friendly and helpful and would check up on us if there was anything we needed. Overall it's a 10/10 restaurant and would DEFINITELY come again!

I can’t believe how amazing this restaurant is. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the large windows and the breathtaking outdoor beauty that stretched as far as the eye could see. The chic design and stylish seating create a perfect atmosphere, complemented by the carefully chosen background music that sets the mood. The service was exceptional, with friendly and helpful waiters who made the experience feel personal and welcoming. The food was next level delicious, each dish perfectly crafted. And let’s not forget the margaritas, which were absolutely refreshing and the perfect complement to the meal. The little swing at the entrance added a whimsical touch, making the entire experience feel unique and memorable. Dining here, in such a relaxed and comfortable setting, truly felt like a pleasure—every detail was thoughtfully curated for an unforgettable experience.

The best roof-top restaurant i visited so far in Dublin. Amazing food Amazing view and super helpful and fast staff. The food was very very delicious and staff was excellent and served us well. Even for my friends birthday they arranged a small cake 🎂 and it became a memorable moment for us. I willbe always thankful to staff for their service and help. Food is very nice and drinks 🍸 are amazing. I will recommend to go here for special occasions and for amazing food. They also have a swing outside for nice photos. They also have a small place for saving honeybees and they are contributing in a big way to the environment.

We visited Laylas Rooftop for my birthday meal. From the get go we were extremely impressed. My boyfriend booked an outdoor table for us and as we had an early table booked, we were the only ones there for a bit which was nice. The outdoor area is fully covered over with heaters and even little blankets given to you to cover up, it was a nice touch. The food from start to finish was divine, albeit on the pricier side, not your standard date night location and more for a special occasion deal. There was also a really nice and extensive cocktail menu. The lamb chops were the highlight of the meal for me, the whole dish was unbelievable. We unfortunately did book on a yellow weather warning night so we did witness quite a downpour which ended up leaking onto the balcony, thank god we were seated towards the back! The only downside to the night was a particularly rowdy bunch that came in later in the night, though the servers did everything in their power to deal appropriately with them and kept their calm, bonus points for that, very professional. The smoking area is also just a two seater table that’s roped off towards the front of the balcony, very close to other diners and not ideal when people are trying to eat. All in all it was a lovely visit with great food and drinks. We ended the night with a lovely birthday dessert surprise.

We went here to celebrate my partners birthday and the atmosphere was delightful. The food was well presented and delicious, the waiters were cheerful and helpful. The view was spectacular from the comfort of our seat. We received a decorated dessert stating happy birthday as a free treat for my partner which was very cute. Will most certainly be going back in the near future and I recommend this place for anyone wanting to bring their partner for a cute date night.

Really excellent food with great flavours - shouldn't be dismissed as "just a hotel restaurant", it's way better than that! Good selection, and very good cocktails. Would recommend the Tuna Crudo and the Tiramisu in particular.

Went to Layla’s Rooftop Restaurant with a group of 7 friends for dinner, most of us being vegetarians, and we had a fantastic time! The food was absolutely delicious with plenty of good vegetarian options, and the presentation was beautiful. The service was attentive and friendly, and the overall ambience was perfect for a relaxed evening with friends. Loved the rooftop view as well — made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere!

We had a very positive experience on our first visit and will definitely be back. The food was excellent, super tasty, the pasta was fresh and made by an Italian chef. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. The service was exceptional, and I'd like to highlight Vinícius for his excellent service, friendliness, and menu recommendations. He made our experience at the restaurant even better. We absolutely recommend it.

I didn’t get the name of our server/s but they made our experience today! We visited for brunch around 11am with our small baby today and all staff were so friendly and helpful. Our baby was enjoying practicing walking and staff were delighted to see her do it and didn’t make us feel like she was in the way at all! Food was also great and ambience and view but to be honest the staff really made it for us! Just wish I got their names but thank you ❤️ We will be back again!

All about the view and the staff here... Both incredible! The appetizers are all good and particularly don't skip the bread. Pizzas are the star of the show for mains. This place is great for groups but NB they might at last minute (morning of booking) insist on a prix fix for a larger table. We were able to negotiate a guarantee of at least 1 main pp and a couple of bottles of wine which we exceeded (4 bottles of wine, 4 or 5 apps and a couple of deserts for the table) but ymmv for the busy holiday season. We were 10pp on a Tuesday night and spent 65 euro each incl well deserved service fee. We will be back.

Have a lovely dinner in here for my birthday. That was so amazing night! View on roof is so beautiful, staff are nice but he was asked 2 times for drink offer before we ready and checked 3 time if we finish when we still have food on the plate. That was a bit Noisy. Food is lovely But not a big portion. 4 of us spend 240 euro.

We did a business team dinner here and we're very happy with the service and food options for each person. Everyone loved the sourdough bread appetizer. It was certainly a unanimous like by all in our party. I had the fillet ordered medium, though it came more well done than I'm used to. But was still tender and tasty. The drinks were also amazing (cocktails) and everyone LOVED the drinks. They also had a good list of wines for pairing with different dishes. For dessert we went simple with two options for the table, both of which were great, but hard to finish with all the other food. The rooftop is awesome view and has a very modern feel to it. Quiet and cozy. Would recommend to someone if they want a nice lunch or dinner.

The terrace has a great view and it's a perfect spot for a day with beautiful sun. I found my pasta good but not mind-blowing. I would have expected a bit more taste. I really appreciated that they managed to find me some bread to mop the sauce even if it was not on the menu. It was really good bread too. The sundae looked spectacular but it had barely any taste and the brownie on the bottom didn't have a great texture.

I came here for a family members birthday party so there was quite a lot of us. The view, amazing. I got the special of the day which was pasta with a creamy sort of sauce with bits of meat. It was quite good but a bit skimpy on the meat.

Nice place with lovely views (on a clear day, of course). Food was ok but the fish could be a bigger portion and the pea purée had way too much pepper. The service was a bit slow, they brought the orange juice (not freshly squeezed although they charge as if it was) when the food was already on the table. We had to wait a lot for the dessert. Staff was friendly.

The service, setting and atmosphere were great. The food was disappointing, especially considering the price. Its not cheap and of the 5 of us that ate brunch - None of us were particularly blown away by the food. The presentation of the food looked stunning and photographed very well..so perfect for posting on social. - Again, very friendly staff. It's a shame we probably won't be back for brunch though.

The view is spectacular. Food was good. We had the duck and the steak, chips and for starters the bread with butter (fantastic flavor) & the buratta with grilled peach. Slightly pricey. The staff was absolutely fantastic and especially our waiter Rodrigo was a super friendly person and we had a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Thank you! Recommended.

Ate here for a casual dinner. Great spot to soak up some sun for when it decided to pop out. We ate the grilled lamb chops with crispy potatoes and the calzone & parma pizza with some fries. The fries were very fresh, the pizzas were flavoursome. All round great easy eat in a well presented diner.

I am on the fence with this place. Drinks are amazing but the food is OK. I had steak and eggs and the steal was very week cooked but too much on the fatty side. Eggs were great and the tomato on the dish was phenomenal. It comes with hollandaise sauce which I wasn’t a fan. I would suggest asking for the homemade garlic mayo. It goes much better with the steak and with fries if you order them. I also had the french toast which i would give it a 6 out of 10. It was not bad but it could be better. I’d say they need to step up the food and the service. We had great waiters but we had to chase them to get extras during the meal, like ketchup and another americano. The ambience is very nice, the view is amazing but the music could be one notch lower. It is a good experience overall but not a 5 star.

I agree with some reviews on there that said the brunch menu seemed limited. Especially for non meat eaters / vegetarian / vegans that want savory food. I ordered the burger and i believe the patty was made out of fava beans? Unfortunately i did not enjoy it. The fries were good and nicely salted. The margarita pizza was alright, very thin dough. The rooftop is nice, there is at least a great view over the city. The toilets were pretty nasty also…

Im a bit disapointed to be honest. I went with a group of friends for a christmas get together. Atmosphere is great, and the actual resraurant and views are stunning. The service and the food wern't great though. Waiter was hurried and gave the impression he had more important things to be doing than serving us. When the food did come it was average at best. 17.50 is a lot to spend on a pizza so you'd like to think you're getting something authentic. Unfortunately it tasted and looked like any other frozen or chilled pizza from the supermarket so a bit disapointed with that. Glad i went but wouldnt be in a rush to go back.

To sum up, The waitress was very attentive and friendly, but kitchen service needs improvement. Be more careful with dishes, taste, temperature, and offer fair and good amount of food, also reducing time to prepare the orders. We were in a big group, and our food took a long time to get ready, specially because we ordered 2 or 3 course. Between dishes we waited more than 30min. Me and my friend got our Croquetes and Ravioli frozen. It was a bit frustrating after so much time waiting and we were starving, but the waitress was very attentive to our table all the time, and returned our dishes immediately to the kitchen and gave new ones, including an extra starter and fries that they offered for free, which was nice of them to minimise the mistakes. The mains and desert were okay, but I was expecting tastiest dishes , more flavour, saucy. Mine, I got the beef with mash sweet potato that was good but only ONE SCOOP of mash (as you can see in the pic) is very disappointing, especially for the amount of money we pay for the dishes.

First visit: July 2024 Nice atmosphere, good service however the food was not the greatest. Second visit: August 2025 Gave Layla’s another try.. Terrible service: Staff messed up almost everyone’s order by missing some dishes & ordering wrong dishes for some. Food is still Mediocre (Pizza dough is pre baked) I would not recommend trying Layla’s for food.

The place has a nice view is located in a nice building but the service could have been better, as soon as we arrived at the table the glasses were dirty, the waiter asked us to order the starter and main course together for it to be quicker, but the main took quite some time to arrive. The drinks were disappointing and when we tried it we were sure! The size of the ice cube in our drinks was practically the size of our glass. We felt that the starter was ok and the main course too. The place is nice but not worth the expensive price of the food and service.

L
Leanne O'Toole

We booked for a girls night. The waiters were extremely helpful, friendly and knew whatever was asked of them! Food was delicious. The only down side were the cocktails. €14 and the smallest glass comes out, only to then realise that there is a huge ice cube in the glass, so you are essentially paying €14 for very little to drink. I'd come back for the food but will be avoiding the cocktails!

l

3.5 stars - The food and atmosphere was great but however, the service felt rushed, with waitstaff repeatedly pressing for orders despite our explaining that we were waiting for three additional guests. This impatience detracted from the overall experience and I believe in any restaurant, paying customers should never feel like an inconvenience. Additionally, the €25 fee for bringing our own cake was disappointing.

J
John Haigh

Very slow to take our order. Good value but poached eggs were overcooked. Thankfully, an attentive member of staff spotted this and immediately rectified the problem by taking them back and bringing us some freshly cooked poached eggs. Coffee was ok and the fresh juice was very refreshing.

Avoid Layla’s for Celebrations. Terrible Service and No Flexibility We went to Layla’s yesterday for my friend’s birthday with a booking for 18 people. From the start, the experience was awful. The restaurant was almost empty, yet they refused to put our group together at one table. The “set menu” was just three starters, three pizzas, and three desserts. Several guests didn’t want pizza, but the waiter said we still had to pay €37.50 each – no flexibility, no understanding. The atmosphere became tense, with the supervisor using dismissive body language that made everyone uncomfortable. Most people ended up taking unwanted pizza home, and we were even forced to pay a €58 service charge. As someone with 10 years in hospitality, I have never seen such poor communication, lack of respect, and unwillingness to accommodate. If you’re thinking of celebrating here – don’t. Poor communication turned what should have been a happy celebration into a stressful and unpleasant experience.

The place has a nice view, but the food is on average for the price, we won't come back, there are better places in Dublin. Starter: Burrata, this starter is a Burrata with other items in the plate that really doesn't make sense, the taste is plain Main: the meat (lamb and steak) were nice and tender but no sides on it,is like we paid for the protein and that it. The small puree on the lamb were with not flavour Dessert: we ordered a cheese cake and lemon tart, the cheese was ok, just a bit dried and the surprise of the night, the lemon tart was cream with sugar and NO lemon flavour at all. The service was ok and the food arrive quiet quick, we were around 6 pm and left when start to get busy.

D

The brunch menu felt limited, but ordered the chicken & waffles. Bad choice. The waffle appeared to have been deep fried. It was hard, dry and crunchy, not a soft chewy texture you’d expect. The chicken was a very small thigh cut in half, there was about 3 bites worth. It wasn’t helped by the fact the waiter dropped mayonnaise on half of it when delivering condiments to the table. While he did say sorry and offer to get me a new one, I declined as it pretty underwhelming to begin with. I did however feel that it should be removed from the bill as that half went uneaten, but it was charged. We weren’t approached any further to ask if we wanted anything else, drinks, desserts etc. so requested the bill. There was no enquiry if we’d enjoyed or meal or any pleasantries - just handed a bill and card machine.
